Pros: Excellent place to stay. New hotel with high class rooms and restaurant. Extremely good breakfast and very good service!
Pros: The staff were welcoming and friendly - to us and our dogs. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The breakfast was delicious and the meal we had in the evening was one of the best we've had in Germany.
Cons: Very little! The room was slightly spartan but very practical.
Pros: Very comfortable small hotel (only 8 rooms). My room was spacious, comfortable bed, great walk-in shower. There is an excellent restaurant on the premises, small menu, but wonderful food. I loved my etagere presented individually at breakfast.
Cons: I did not like that the light went on when you moved towards the bathroom at night. It really wakes you up.
Featuring a terrace and a restaurant, Brauereigasthof Marktmühle is located in Oberdorla. At the hotel, all rooms are fitted with a wardrobe. With a private bathroom equipped with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Brauereigasthof Marktmühle also offer free WiFi. At the accommodation each room includes a desk and a flat-screen TV. The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at Brauereigasthof Marktmühle. Eisenach is 29 km from the hotel, while Gotha is 43 km away. The nearest airport is Erfurt-Weimar Airport, 67 km from Brauereigasthof Marktmühle.
Pros: The hotel is located in a quiet village near National Park Hainich. I visited there by car, and it took 15-30 minites from the parking lots of various hiking trails/attractions in the national park. The nice restaurant in the hotel is a brewery. I unfortunately do not drink alchohol, but I could enjoy wonderful dessert containing the original beer. I should have been hungrier and I wished to enjoy more dishes there! The attic room where I stayed was not big but really clean and comfortable! I wish to stay there again!
Pros: Clean, comfortable, nice interiors and furniture. The breakfast was also very good. Plus friendly staff and excellent local beer on tap. I was more than satisfied.
This traditional guest house in the centre of Mühlhausen’s old town offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Many rooms have a direct view of the famous Marienkirche church. The Pension bei der Marienkirche provides rooms with warm colour schemes. Each modern bathroom includes a hairdryer, and all rooms can be reached by elevator. A large breakfast buffet is provided each morning at the Pension bei der Marienkirche. Many restaurants and cafés are within walking distance. The guest house features a bicycle shelter as well as a courtyard car park. Mühlhausen’s historic city wall and the Central-Filmpalast cinema are just a 5-minute walk from the Pension bei der Marienkirche. The Hainich National Park begins an 8-minute drive away, and is ideal for hiking, cycling and horse riding.
Cons: Very difficult to acced with the car
Pros: Convenient central location with a private parking lot in the inner yard. We had a charming view on the cathedral. Clean and warm room, spacious bathroom.
Cons: It would be nice to have a kettle in the room, so that to have a possibility to make some tea.
Pros: The very friendly and helpful lady at reception got my stay off to an excellent start The room was small, cosy, spotless and excellent value for money. Mühlhausen is yet another hidden gem in Thuringia and the Pension is right opposite one of the town's four Gothic churches. After a comfortable night's sleep, breakfast was refreshing and delicious, and checkout friendly and efficient. While waiting, I heard the lady on the phone politely telling a potential customer that sorry, they were booked out for the next two weekends, so obviously other travellers have had the same favourable impression as I did.
Pros: The Property is located DIRECTLY across the street from Saint Mary's Church (Marienkirche), and our room had an unobstructed view of this Gothic beauty. The room was clean, large, and comfortable, and the "street noise" was minimal, thanks to the Property's position in a pedestrian zone. The free parking was adjacent to the building. The breakfast was excellent. The Staff was VERY friendly. The "Old Town" is very interesting, with its stone surrounding wall and centuries-old half-timbered buildings; it is easily walked, and shops and eating establishments abound. The "Pension" is highly recommended for itself AND its surroundings.
Cons: This is NOT a reflection on the Property: Because of the address numbering scheme on the street surrounding Marienkirche, GPS may be a bit confused (as it was in our case). Cars can drive on only 1/2 of the street, and the Property is located on the 1/2 that is a pedestrian zone. To easily locate the Property, face the front doors of the Church, and look to the RIGHT. At the end of the building, across the street, you will see a small parking lot; park there, and walk up into the pedestrian zone about 100 feet or so and you will come to the Pension. A staff member will direct you to your parking space.
Cons: I would say AC for the summer time will be awesome!
Pros: The only thing I would give lower rate is the wifi connection - was quite poor in my room and connecting more than two devices decreased the network connection efficiency. Apart from that everything was very good: staff very friendly, breakfast room and food for +
Pros: Good location and room and bathroom very clean
Pros: It was my first stay at this hotel in Mühlhausen and it definitely won't be the last one, since I'm traveling there every year in August, to work at Party.San Open Air happening some kilometers away. I booked a standard double room, as I was traveling with a friend/colleague. One week prior to the trip I had to contact the hotel in order to ask for a third bed for the last night of our three nights stay. The receptionist replied quickly and with a very friendly email. Since the standard room would have been too small for a third bed, and (luckily) there was a superior double room available that had more space for the third bed, I got an upgrade offer for a very reasonable price. We came to Mühlhausen by car and the parking space (free of charge, which is a big plus) was easy to be found and also spacious. Check-in was nice and quick and the receptionist was very friendly. Both room and bathroom were very spacious, modern, and clean and offered everything you need for your stay. I think the room was renovated just recently. The area in the old town of Mühlhausen was very quiet. Since the hotel is located near the Marienkirche, it's a usual thing (at least in Germany) to hear the church bell ring every hour, but it's really not a big thing. Breakfast was served between 7 and 10 am and the breakfast buffet offered a great choice of rolls, bread, eggs, sausages, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, etc. It wasn't as big as it is in a four star hotel, but it really had everything you needed for a great start into the day. The third bed we needed for another colleague was brought to the room on the second day (while we were away at the festival) and it was prepared as requested. The check out went also very smooth (latest check out time was 11 am, which generally is ok, but after three festival days it can be a bit early rough... ;)) I payed for our whole stay when checking out and the price was according to what I was told some days before.
Cons: Nothing to complain.
Pros: A very nice lady checked us in and explained everything very clearly. When you arrive you can park in front of the pedestrian zone, on the right side. After the check-in they lower the barrier and you can drive into the parking inside the hotel area. Secure parking! The room was big and clean, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was simple but more than enough. The location is absolutely top: right in the old part of the town, in a quiete pedestrian zone.
When you stay at Brauhaus Zum Löwen in Mühlhausen/Thüringen, you'll be 4 minutes by foot from St. Marien, Müntzergedenkstätte. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: One in our party of three was taken seriously ill, and had to be hospitalized. The staff were very helpful, we cannot thank them enough. (He stayed in hospital 9 days, and now he's back home again). The restaurant was great, the waiters professional and sympathetic.
Cons: Everything was ok!
Pros: Restaurant was very good for dinner. We did not try breakfast since it was not included in our rate.
Cons: Our room was not on site. It was down the street and did not have the hotel name on the building. We had to go back to get the receptionist to show us the correct location. There was a wedding reception there and guests were very loud when returning to their rooms at 1 am!
Pros: Nice and kind staff. Evening receptionist is very helpful. Old historical hotel. Nice.
Cons: No elevators, and very narrow stairs...so if you hqve big or heavy luggages, can be challenge. Heating system unsifficient to make your room completly warm. In November it is a bit tricky. Bathroom cleanless, so so
Pros: We got the nicest room - whole two storey guest house with two bathrooms and a living room. The room was clean.
Cons: On the first night after check-in, we came back late at night (1am), and we could not get inside, past the restaurant. Our key was not working and after ages of pacing around trying to find another way in, we had to nap on the benches at the restaurant until another guest let us in at about 3:30am (with their key working fine, but ours still not budging). We were later explained that the key they gave us only opens our room door but not the front entrance (what use is that?). They never gave us the front key but promised to keep the door unlocked for us. On the last night, they had a disco downstairs (not sure if they own it, but it's a shared building), that got progressively louder through the night until around 4am. This was followed by another hour of drunken revellers that weren't discouraged by the staff. We had 3 trains and 2 flights to catch the next morning, and my partner had to complain - just to be met with snarky comments from the bar waitress. If you want a good night's sleep, this is not a place for you. The food at the restaurant was ok, but the service was slow. Three times my partner's order was forgotten and he had to chase it up. We were promised a night off the bill, but when actually checked out, the lady at the reception 'could only' discount us half a night... We were too exhausted to argue any further as she didn't speak any English and the manager was not present.
Pros: Great central location in the old city. Friendly personnel.
Cons: The lack of air condtioning was a negative in hot weather.
Pros: The rooms were located above a traditional German pub which made it interesting but the rooms were very quiet
Pros: Generally nice experience
Pros: Clean and organized
Cons: The breakfast could be better
Pros: Good stay with nice staff and bar-restaurant.
Pros: Very quiet area, although near the historic center. The hotel is located in a beautiful, well maintaned garden. The hotel restaurant has a terrace overlooking the garden and a well equipped playground. The hotel garden is fenced, so it is a safe płace for children. The staff was very profesional and the food was good.
Pros: Everything was perfect including real german breakfast and dinner, which i recommend
Pros: The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of variety and served in a large, sunny dining room with plenty of seating. On site parking lot very convenient and an easy walk to historical town center from hotel.
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with lots of storage space. There was free wifi and there was a nice surrounding garden space.
Cons: Although you could ask at reception it would have been good to have a hairdryer in the room plus spare pillows and a blanket if required. There were also no bathrobes.
Cons: Pillow was not so comfortable and i have arrived too late in night to ask for one more!
Pros: The breakfast buffet is exceptionally good - a wonderful spread.
Pros: We had a lovely time and would definitely go back.

Pros: Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Location is in the city center within the city wall.

Room was as on foto, very clean and quiet. with minimum needed equipment and stuffs but good and absolutely enough for this price! I want to thank the staff - receptionists !!! Pros: Very friendly and helpfull staff, quick checkin despite being busy
Pros: Nice place in 5 min walking distance from the train station. I arrived late just before midnight on a Monday evening but still got a beer at the bar eventhough there were no other guests at the bar.
Pros: Nice staff, clean room and bathroom, nice view from the hotel room. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Could be a bit cheaper.
Pros: The staff was very friendly. The service was wonderful and prompt. We called and asked for 2 extra pillows and ice cubes for drinks, she even asked "how much?". Bathroom was modern and clean, our towels were fine, new. Chocolates were placed on the bed like in luxury hotels. Breakfast was great, more than enough! Very friendly staff, and I mention this again because it is the most important thing to me. Top!
Cons: Everything IN the hotel was fine, (except maybe the tiny TV), outside it got a bit noisy sometimes. Not the hotel's fault if the dog outside won't stop barking!!! It can happen anywhere.
Pros: The reception staff were friendly, helpful and tried to communicate with us in English. The inclusive breakfast was delicious. The travel centre located downstairs and the staff were also friendly and helpful and spoke English
Cons: The towels were old and thin and ready for the rag bag. The cleaner on the day of check out was rude, unfriendly and told us the vacate the room before the allocated check out time so she could clean the room for the next clients
