9.5 Excellent
Pros: Craig and Paul are fantastic hosts who find the perfect balance between being welcoming and hospitable without getting in your way. My partner and I loved the cottage - the bed, the fireplace, extensive game and movie selections, massive spa bath. A very romantic place to stay and the food is to die for. We will be back for sure!
Cons: Perhaps the kitchen in the cottage is a little outdated, but still very functional for a short or long stay. Hard to find any faults!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Library, restaurant, hosts were fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This retreat was absolutely incredible, we highly recommend it. We ended up arriving earlier because of the heavy rain and Craig and Paul straight away invited us in and recommended options of what we could do on a rare rainy day. The private room with a large spa, with a shared living space was very comfortable. The deck looking out onto the country side with a cup of tea was the perfect winter getaway. We were able to play their large collection of board games on their comfy couch outside as we watched the chickens, cows and dogs walk past. They even had an optional homemade dinner available, which was so delicious and convenient we ended up eating from Chef Paul over both nights. Special shout out to the pepper boy! They were both so kind, funny and welcoming with the 5 labs providing plenty of entertainment as well. We would happily go back to the perfect romantic getaway.

Pros: I was taken care of, from the time of booking, until I left. Views are beautiful. Hosts are helpful, warm and friendly and the property is well positioned. I really enjoyed my time there! Thank you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thank you to Karen and John for their hospitality. Karen greeted us with welcom platter. She also showed us around the place. John and Karen were very helpful and friendly. Place very nice and clean with wonderful view. Beautiful and quiet surroundings. Highly recommend this place. We would love to come again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the most beautiful places we have stayed in. Already booked again. Our hosts Karen, John and family were the most friendly and welcoming people you could meet. Can't recommend them highly enough.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts Karen and John were welcoming and friendly. They made us feel a little spoilt!! The location is great - only 5 minutes from town, in an elevated position. Beautiful gardens and an inground pool. The unit was well set up. Everything is top gear, and the kitchen facilities and 'fridge were generously provided. Location is quiet and 'semi-rural'. You wake up to "farmyard' sounds in the morning, and bird calls during the day. This would rate as the best B&B you will see in many trips. Give it a go - you won't be disappointed!!
Cons: This is pretty minor - but a wall clock in the living area would be appreciated.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and wonderful facilities. The host was very hospitable and we wished we had been able to stay longer
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was ideal in terms of the short distance to Murwillumbah, the facilities which more than covered our needs and the beauty of the landscapes. Internally the accommodation was decorated tastefully with so many little extra touches to make our stay luxurious. The mature gardens contributed also to the unique and glorious landscape. Thank you Karen and John
Cons: Nothing to list.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thanks so much Karen and John What a magnificent place you have . We loved being there in the Serene landscape . Your touches inside were great We had a great breakfast with the farm eggs and bacon and your welcome nibblies platter was lovely . Having dinner by the pool on the verandah was magic. Saying him to a butcher bird for breakfast and a tree frog for dinner was cute Hope to see you both again Thanks for your hospitality -
Cons: Nothing !

Cons: Wished we’d stayed longer so we could have enjoyed more.

Pros: Always a lovely stay in this comfortable hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastically comfortable beds. So much so that we asked where we could buy one!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were met in reception and were made to feel very welcome. The room was a good size, clean and had facilities for us to get our own breakfast and feel comfortable. It was near enough to town without being in the 'thick of things'.We were told that if we needed anything to just ask which made us feel very at ease. Would definitely stay again if ever we are in that area again.
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the beds - VERY comfortable. The bathroom was one of the best I've seen - because it actually had a place to place your belongings instead of the floor. Small safe in the room. Updated decor - very nice.
Cons: The 3 steps leading up to the ground floor (which were full length of the building) were steep and awkward, I felt unsafe going up and down to retrieve luggage, (although there was a hand rail right at the end we could have used). Highway noise was audible.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Suprisingly very modern, very comfy beds, sheets, pillows. A great stay for $150.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room and friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved how easy and well organised it was to check in and out. The beds where comfy, the room was spotless and modern. Highly highly recommend
Cons: Only thing that was a downfall was there was no hot water or it ran out halfway through having a shower so had to finish washing my hair in a freezing cold shower.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent wifi with casting set up for access to online services. Much better than the usual rubbish TV in the evening
Cons: Some road noise which is common to most motels

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Alpine cabin ..waking up to sound of birds and rainforest
5.0 Okay
Pros: Whilst the natural environs were lovely, it felt somewhat reminiscent of being on a school camp and Judith was somewhat reminiscent of a camp leader. A description of the location of the cabin on the property would have been beneficial. As it was not possible to park our car nearby and the walk up to it was steep and particularly difficult with my disability. Judith is an anti-smoker and quite fixated on the subject. I was not even allowed to smoke outside the cabin. I’m too old to be treated like a naughty teenager and shamed for smoking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Judith and Barry were just lovely and made us feel welcome even before we arrived. The Yurt and surrounds were just gorgeous and we had a wonderful time, only wish we could have stayed longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the property, communication from the hosts and check in and welcome by Barry. Will be back for another stay
Cons: Everything was perfect!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property. Cabin and location was excellent and the hosts were so kind and friendly.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming and accommodating hosts; clean rooms and comfortable stay! Beautifully located; and makes for a great holiday if you want to go slow, chill out and enjoy nature. A couple of notes for families wanting to use the studio room: - plenty of cooking utensils and pots etc so no need to drag a spare knife etc around - no oven; but there is a stove top and microwave - fridge is slightly bigger than a bar fridge, with a very small freezer tray in it; bonus is a Coles is only 10-15mins away, or lots of locally grown food for sale from farmers everywhere. Also plenty of hidden cafes and restaurants around (just note most seem to be closed or close early over the weekend) - no laundry facilities on site; there are Laundromats in Murwillumbah and Uki, for about $10 for wash and dry very big loads.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The yurt was great, simple but all you need.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner.
Cons: Photo's on add didn't give it justice. They need better photo's
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lush green garden
Cons: Would have been good to have a microwave, a couple of plates and a bit of cutlery. I had some takeaway and I would have like to have warmed it up.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the character of the Yurt and kitchen/ toilet
Cons: The parking was terrible to get out of (small, sloping away and poor visibility) and at the opposite end to accomodation. It was absolutely freezing and totally insufficient heating was provided (1 x small oil heater), there’s was barely enough coffee provided for 2 coffees on the first morning (between all guests) and not replenished for the rest of our stay (therefore no coffee). There was no pathway lights on or sensor lighting across garden/lawn area to the accomodation and forced walk in the dark. Both toilets were mounted way too close to the wall so could not be sat on correctly. Although the Yurt was a great novelty and looked lovely on the inside, it had several patched sections and was stained which is not how the photos present. The smoking area was at the opposite end of the property. It felt like a little bit of an inconvenience, we were half an hour late on arrival from a 5 1/2 hr trip (communicated this along the way and was reminded of the office check in hours). A friendly reminder of check out time 1hr before leaving which was ok but just didn’t finish our stay with a welcome feeling considering the experience I had listed throughout our stay.

7.5 Good
Pros: Was really happy with the accommodation upgrade it made our trip extra special. Was clean and cosy just what we were looking for
Cons: Kitchen wasn’t up to the same standards as the rest of the accommodation. Utensils were not clean and microwave plate what past guests spills on it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was peaceful with stunning views and the grounds were immaculately maintained. The owners and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the restaurant was closed for the two nights we were there. I guess that means we will have to go back.
10.0 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food and sitting around the fire.

Pros: The staff we so welcome, such an amazing place
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast didnt happen. Mavis was shut. Location tho ios brilliant
6.3 Good
Pros: The setting of the cabin.
Cons: I had to ring an emergency number to find out where and how to access the cabin as they had forgotten to contact me with details and there was to be no-one on the property on our arrival. I was told I was being offered an upgrade. It turns out it was actually for the convenience of the business as they lock the gates to the main property where the cabin I had chosen was located. The cabin we stayed in was in a separate location, supposedly "secret". Whilst it was isolated and surrounded by bush, we nevertheless were inundated with cars and noise from other guests (whose cabin was also outside the locked main property but a considerable distance from us) during the afternoon and again in the morning of our departure. The bedding looked anything but fresh on our arrival and sure enough it wasn't. All but one of the pillows smelt of the previous users of the cabin. Thankfully my husband allowed me to use it, he turned his pillowcases inside out. A 2L plastic bottle of milk was left in the fridge for our arrival. It was laying on its side as the door was full of bottles of wine etc we could buy, should we choose. I didn't notice at first that the seal was broken, so presumably we were left a refilled bottle of milk, however it leaked all through the fridge. Imagine my delight at cleaning the fridge on my long awaited special night away. While I tried to put on a brave face for my husband, whose 70th birthday it was, what should have been a wonderful experience, was anything but.

Pros: We stayed at Murwillumbah YHA so we could be close to Mount Warning for the sunrise hike and it was perfect. The hostel is amazing, really big with lots of character, plenty of space, good size kitchen, tips of things to do in the area and generally perfect for what we wanted. One thing that makes this hostel even more awesome is the owner Tassie, who is a brilliant person; super friendly, kind and willing to help in any way he can. Also, the free ice cream in the common area every night at 9pm is a lovely touch to meet the other guests and have a good chat. If you are even contemplating hiking up Mount Warning (100% worth it), stay here, it is only a 15 minute drive to the car park and is the perfect place to rest up before and after. Thanks for the amazing stay Tassie! Josh

The unit had most things we'd need, and plenty of peace and quiet, and while it might not be luxury and need a little lick and polish, the linen was clean, the cupboards were stocked with essential utensils etc, the beds were comfy, and the fire brazier got a good work out. Plus, it was pet friendly, which is great. The dog loved it. Overall, we had a lovely, peaceful family holiday there.
Cons: There's a bit of maintenance to be done, but nothing too major.
10.0 Excellent

5.0 Okay
Pros: 1. Rooms and the toilets and the corridors are done newly which is good. 2. Beds are good. 3. location is too good. 4. Staff were very nice and good for sure.
Cons: Actually below are the things I observed. 1. there is no mirror in the room had to go to the toilet to comb the hair. 2. there is no heater in the room so cold was killing. 3. water goes through the first bathrooms to the 4th bathroom because of the elevation incorrect just imagine when you are having a bath the other persons (next door mans) uncleaned water coming to your feet. so it is unhygienic. 4. kitchen sink is dirty (dirtied by the guests as no guest is concerned about the others cleanliness) 5. kitchen dust bin is full all the time. 6. not enough hangers in the wardrobe. I am sorry - due I like to have our own Australian standards only I wrote all the above.

Cons: Cleanliness and very old fittings.

Pros: It was clean and value for money. Ease of access to a variety of local restaurants.
