What are the pros of staying at Riverpointe Napa Valley Resort?
Everything was great! Awesome staff, everything was amazing! Free Laundry, Jacuzzi was fabulous. The cabins were cute and the property looks orderly and well-maintained. Loved that the resort was centrally located. It was close to restaurants, and a short drive to many of the Canero's region vineyards. Good location and the cabins were really comfortable and clean. This is a convenient location for visiting Napa Valley. The resort is quiet, and the cottages are cozy. Great set up. The cabins are well-appointed with everything you need. We had lots of privacy and we’re very comfortable. It was also in a great location- right by downtown Napa. i loved the personal home aspect of it, lot. the stay was local to everything we wanted to do in napa. It was super close to downtown, just a 5 minute drive or so, and lots of restaurants and wineries to visit. if you’re trying to do tours and what not it’s very easy to navigate or get an uber. i would totally recommend river pointe napa. It was nice to have our own room with a living space as well. Every request we made was quick and done with a smile. Friendly staff around the grounds and in the office. They made us feel like a family member. Cute, cozy and quite. It’s not a full service hotel but the location is great. I would come again with friends. Nice clean cabin for a family of four. Good value for money. Nice to have a separate bedroom from the living space. The location was good, close to downtown without being downtown. The unit was a converted mobile home giving me room to move around in, A patio shared by only one other unit. The homes are placed so you feel you have privacy yet not alone. Very quiet, No slamming hotel doors, No. Showers running at 3:00 in the morning, just quiet and peaceful. A great restaurant directly across the street separate from a small casino. Great food and nice outdoor terrace. Everyone was friendly and helpful! Close to everything we needed. The wineries the downtown the restaurants. Easy check in and out. Perfect location for us. Clean, comfortable and service was great. Close to downtown. Trees, flowers and cottages very pretty; having cottage to ourselves and full kitchen was nice. I loved our stay, but my husband likes a bigger room! In saying that the room had everything we needed. The bulletin board in front office with weekly events was a nice bonus. The restaurant across the street, The Lincoln, recommended by staff was very nice. Privacy. Fantastic! Great value for the price. Used the well equipped kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Pleasant location at a few minutes drive from the center of Napa, which is absolutely beautiful. In my opinion Napa is the best city to stay and visit the wineries (within 15 to 40 minutes drive). A really quaint and cozy location, near gas stations and grocery super outlets, and not too far from Napa Valley as well! We really loved the trailer concept, and the kitchen though small had nearly everything. There was also very generous fridge space. Weather was lovely and there were enough towels given to last our stay. Didnt get to use the family games room but had a look around and they had board games, a curling station, and a sauna and a functioning pool. Appreciated the recommendations. The toilet was really lovely for one that is built within a trailer. Located close to everything. Parking was so convenient. Beds were very comfortable. We went with a group of 8 & was able to visit on the deck in between cottages which was great. The quiet homey feeling of the property. The accommodation was decent. It would help to have some hooks on the wall to hang towels or wet bathing suits. Not enough to accommodate three people and let things dry. Loved the location and the amenities. The pool was great! The proximity to town was perfect. The property is so well maintained. Landscaping is beautiful. The cottages are so cute and spacious, clean and with all the amenities you need. We had a full kitchen stocked with dishes, coffee pot, full sized refrigerator, and dishwasher. We had a shared patio/deck but luckily it was with our friends we were traveling with. The pool is very big and heated to the perfect temperature. They have activities in the clubhouse in the afternoon/evenings abs a game room that can be reserved. We brought our bikes and it was a quick ride to downtown. Front desk staff were so welcoming and friendly. We had such a great time and will definitely be back to stay again. Such a beautiful setting. Everything about the place was so quaint. Cute, quaint and clean. Staff throughout the property were pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Location was good close to downtown. Perfect simple accommodation for Napa. Beautiful location, with patio and kitchen that made it perfect for dining “in”. Clean, well maintained pool. So quiet and peaceful! It is a resort of "tiny house" trailers, the grounds are well maintained and there are many things to do within the resort. It was kinda cute I would stay there again but would get a larger "cabin" so that I had a sitting area and a stove. Beautiful little cottage. Very modern inside and had everything that we needed. Could park outside our cottage. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked lovely. Close to a riverside walk. The property is so well maintained. Landscaping is beautiful. What are the cons of staying at Riverpointe Napa Valley Resort?
Overpriced, bad customers service, facilities were not clean, very uncomfortable bed & rude Management. River walking trail was sketchy. Very low water pressure in the shower. No bar or restaurant on site. We requested three rooms, and two had full kitchens, which was one of the draws of the resort, but the one with a mini kitchenette was disappointing. We had to double up in the other two cottages to be able cook. The bathroom could use a little updating. And the light from the cabin next to us was in all night and no one could figure out how to turn it off. i didn’t like the small shower stall, and it absolutely could’ve been cleaner. i know it’s an older facility but they could do minor updates for the showers honestly. and the lock did break mid stay… so that was disappointing because there was nothing other than an apology offered. now i’m not looking for a free night or anything but that was a safety concern. We never got hot water. They came and lit the pilot light and we still didn’t get warm water. Didn’t realize how important that was until that happened. It was not very clean. Location was a bit further from town than I’d expected. Sharing deck with other cabin next door. The toilet bowl is clogged. We found some spiders on the roof and tub. The mattress was very mushy. Seems a bit pricey, but it is the Napa Valley. The room is quite small with just enough space for 2 people and 2 suitcases; the shower is basically a "capsule", in which our arms frequently hit the walls (and that is for a small person). All the sound from the next room can be heard. Too expensive for what is offered. Air conditioning vents were a bit musty, but that's really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Staff. We arrived at 2pm and asked if we could check in early because we had a cranky toddler with us that travelled all day and needed a nap. The lady at the front desk responded that no one checks in before 4 pm no matter if we have a toddler….. ok…. Wasn’t asking for special treatment just asking if it was possible to check in before 4pm. The resort looked dead! There were no cars around and we parked near Cabin #1 and walked around and it was evident that it was empty. We went back at 3:55 to ask if the cabin was ready now and she said she’d “make an exception” to let us check in 5 min early. Like what??? She assigned us Cabin 1 and that’s when we knew they were just snobs because we knew the cabin had been empty and ready that entire time. Why the snobbery!? why wouldn’t you try to give your customers a good experience?? We won’t be coming back because of that. I don’t go where I’m not wanted. It’s a shame because everything else about the place was great. But girls at the front desk can eat it. No Golf Channell, I'm up for the annual tournament but was unable to see the end on tv. Our cabin smelled of cigarette smoke. No fault of the accommodation but Napa is expensive now and wine tours need planning ahead. No room service, no restaurant onsite, had a VERY small pool, and the room was VERY SMALL…big bathrooms (with mold in showers yuck!) asked for change but staff said sold out and would notify us of vacancies (never did). the whole concept is nice sort of glamping. I thought we were going to have more of a kitchen area, guess I should have booked a whole trailer. If we come back to the area that is what I will do. Our front door did not completely close, I think the door frame was out of square, the trim along the bottom outside edge of the trailer was missing / rusted / rotted and the floor was a little uneven / soft like there was some subfloor issues. I think the trailer was clean enough and the grounds seemed to be maintained. The location was a bit out of town but it was extremely easy to get an Uber into town. Opt for a Room with a Full Kitchen
Some guests were disappointed with the mini kitchenette in certain rooms, so if cooking facilities are important to you, consider booking a room with a full kitchen to avoid any potential disappointment.
Consider Bringing Your Bikes
The resort is a quick bike ride to downtown Napa, so bringing your bikes along could be a convenient and enjoyable way to explore the area.
Request a Cabin Away from the Main Road
Some guests mentioned that cabins closer to the main road experienced more noise, so if you're sensitive to noise, consider requesting a cabin further away from the road.
Check the Water Pressure
Several guests noted very low water pressure in the shower, so it may be worth checking this upon arrival and requesting a room with better water pressure if needed.
Explore Nearby Dining Options
While there's no on-site restaurant, the resort is close to various dining options, so consider exploring the nearby restaurants for meals.
Bring Hooks for Drying
Some guests suggested that having hooks on the wall for hanging towels or wet bathing suits would be helpful, so consider bringing some along for your stay.
Be Mindful of Cabin Size
A few guests found the cabins to be smaller than expected, so it's worth considering the size of the accommodation if you prefer more spacious rooms.
Check for Cigarette Smoke Smell
A couple of guests mentioned their cabins smelled of cigarette smoke, so it may be worth checking for any lingering odors upon arrival and requesting a different cabin if needed.
Consider Bringing Earplugs
If you're sensitive to noise, bringing earplugs might be helpful, as a few guests mentioned noise from neighboring cabins.
Inquire About Thermostat Functionality
Some guests experienced powerful AC units, so it may be worth inquiring about the functionality of the thermostat to ensure a comfortable room temperature during your stay.
