Food and location
some of the services and the best restaurant was always full
Nice but not worth the price
I variety of the food, nice staff and beautiful water.
My sisters sink was faulty foul smelling water would rise when the water was turned off. There was construction going on and my dad was locked out of his room because the lock malfunction and although the staff was able to fix the lock it was still an inconvenience.
It was OK
The food was ok. Stayed at other RIU's, like Cabo, which has better amenities and food choices.
Staff would tell you to cover up in the lobby, walking from the pool or Beach. Are you serious, this is a beach resort, if people want to walk through the lobby with a swimsuit on, or shirtless, why not? There is no thermostat control on the A/C in the rooms, it's either full on cold or you have to turn the unit off. There are not enough outlets in the room, bring a surge protector with multiple plug ins.
Everyone was there was very nice. The food was wonderful, you won't go hungry. They even have snacks. Very nice room with a beautiful view.
The pool closes at 6pm. I like night swims so this wasn't ideal for me. The tub in e bathroom is narrow so it is hard to stand and take a shower, strange. I had never seen anything like that before, but the rest of the hotel makes up for it.
Worth Going, But Definite Room For Improvement
Food was a pleasant suprise. Staff was friendly.
Public Beach, be prepared to be solicited and be around conflict. Alcohol selection was very poor quality. Small Pool.
The food is great. The drinks are awesome. The staff was wonderful. The beach is unmatched. Steps away from Atlantis to hang out at night or get a day-pass for the waterpark. Great value.
Beautiful clean beach!we
The beach was beautiful and clean. The staff was very nice.
We stayed four nights and never could get into the steak restaurant.
food and activities
being all inclusive and not worrying about how much stuff costs.
food was just ok. breakfast was good but lunch and dinner was just ok. Really no night life or activities.
Riu Palace - Fantastic Value
The facilities are great. Nice pool, great beachfront access. The buffet was surprisingly good - not exactly fine dining, but really quality food. The staff was exceptionally nice as well. You can't find a better value (especially if you look at Riu vs Atlantis).
The rooms were dated. We were on the 2nd floor and had a terrible view (of a grey roof) from our balcony. Most rooms probably have a good view though. A hot tub would be nice as well!
