Gomez & his well trained staff make you feel at home. The hotel itself is in a great location to the beach, restaurants and bars. Great entertaining areas within the hotel to mix with many lovely hotel guests who keep returning including myself. Rooms are a great size with large bathrooms. I was well looked, late check out is available depending on guests arrival. Was able to stay by the pool the whole day for an early morning flight. Lovely breakfast. Definitely recommend
Comfortable rooms, well-located, very helpful staff and Mr. Gomez is most welcoming. Great value for money.
Nothing to not like
The room was big and nice, with flat tv, a/c and fan, big fridge, kettle, hair dryer, full set of amenities, hot water (a bit confusing at first how to turn on), a nice terrace with chairs and table. (I got a room with pool view). However, the kettle was very very old. The inner surface mostly peeled off which could be toxic for use so I didnot dare to use. Body gel, shampoo and conditioner looked not so nice both the containers and the contents but acceptable.
The worst was the swimming pool which looked very nice but the water was very very mucky. They seemed to clean the pool regularly (I saw while I was staying) but may be because of an inappropriate treatment making the PH level too high. I didnot dare to swim there. The breakfast was very simple. 3 thin slides of bread, some fruits and eggs. What disappointed most was the coffee which was an instant one. I stayed in many small, much much cheaper B&B in other cities and towns during the trip where they provided fresh coffee. Orange juice here is also a packed one, not freshly squeezed like other places I stayed. I asked for a tuk-tuk to the airport, The price was double of the tuk tuk I asked on the street. But after I told that I found cheaper on the street, they arranged one with the same price. They do need to be more attentive and consider some small issues to improve the quality of falilities, not only just for its looks.
The room was nice and big. There was a cable tv (onlt a few Enghish channel though) and a refrigerator.
Even a staff seemed to clean the floor of the swimming pool but the water was very turbid, probably because of the unadiquate water treament causing the PH level lower than it should be. I didnot dare to swim. There was a kattle, which was good, but its most of the inner surface was peeled off, possibly causing some risk of dissemination of substance that covered the surface. I didnot dare to use. The breakfast was very simple and the coffee was an instant one. With the room price I paid i expected ftesh coffee. I was very diisappointed. Other B&B that I stayed during my 2 weeks trip cost only 1/3 of the price I Paid here but they provided a jar of fresh coffee. The location is good a few hundred metre to the main road. However, the small road directly from the hotel to the main road was mostly flooding. I need to take a 600m detour via another road. I don't know if it is flooding only during the rainy season . I visited in late October.
