Pros: They were helpful in every way they could
Pros: This bed-and-breakfast was very quiet and quaint. The owners were very nice people and went above and beyond to make mine and my sister stay more comfortable. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and very well-kept and clean. I would come back in a second to stay there. I highly recommend this place.
Cons: Lack of hot water when showering.
Pros: It was the best breakfasts we ever had !!!!! Every day . the breakfast was creative, and made to order. Homemade cookies, muffins , cake , were soooo perfect. Best food ever. The owners were very thoughtful, warm, friendly, and professional, but very easy going and friendly. They were always available to make your stay more enjoyable. The house was perfect in every way. It was very clean, decorated perfectly. (Simple with attention to details), family centered. The bikes were fun . The stay was very comfortable, and stress free. We are so happy we chose The Tandem Inn .
Cons: We were spoiled the first 2, nights, because we had the 3rd floor to ourselves, and it was super quiet. This is minor compared to the whole experience , but when customers had the room next door, they liked to use the jetted tub late at night and early am, and you can hear the rumble for the duration. But again , it is the only thing I can think of to answer the question, and it is minor.
Pros: Really nice property. Very well kept and clean. We’ve been to the area several times before and really enjoyed our stay here.
Cons: The location is a good walk from the beach. However, the owners provide carts for chairs and umbrellas which helps a lot.
Pros: The room was just a little small for 2 people but super clean and the hosts were wonderful breakfast was great. Would stay again but want a bigger room. We
Cons: Would have liked a bigger room but other than that it was perfect

Pros: The staff was great. Clean comfortable rooms. Excellent free to order breakfast in the morning..
Pros: Excellent food
Cons: Shared bath. Very small room. No tv. Shabby.
Pros: The owners, Linda and Bill, were fabulous!! We enjoyed the other guests at breakfast, which was amazing. Options galore. Our room was beautiful, the fireplace truly nice to have and the bedding-lovely.
Cons: It could have been summer
Pros: Located in a nice, safe area. The staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent! Top chief I would say.
Pros: We enjoyed our stay very much. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We enjoyed the shore, two blocks away and the bikes which we were able to ride along the board walk. Loved waking up to a cooked to order breakfast by Bill and Linda's friendly smile. Will definitely visit again!
Cons: In suit bathrooms would have been nice. But bathrobes were provided so it was fine.
Pros: Very clean, nice people. Centered between Main St and the Beach, walking to both from the inn. Quiet place.
Cons: No complaints at all.
Pros: Linda and Bill are excellent hosts. Location is great and the breakfast was outstanding
Cons: An afternoon snack, cookies and tea or coffee, would have been nice extra bonus while sitting on the porch . No a negative; just a suggestion
Pros: Nothing the pictures online must have been from 15-20 years ago
Cons: The porch was falling off the stairs was falling off the ceiling had water damage and mold the air conditioner mold the place is collapsing the floor was more than two in unlevel left to right
Pros: Great location , charming house, delicious breakfast
Cons: Overpriced for off season september
Pros: The hosts at the Inn were great.
Pros: Super clean! Comfortable bed. Lovely hosts. Very convenient to beach and town. Off-street parking. Lovely front porch with rockers.
Cons: A few minor things. No coffee available or coffee maker/Kurig. Had to walk 2 blocks to get coffee in the morning. No cups in the room or ice available. Had to ask owner for some. He was gracious though and brought some from his kitchen. Beautiful porch with rockers had bright lights on at night, so when you sat there in the evening, you couldn't see beyond the railing.
Pros: The Saltwater Inn was perfect in every way. Aside from the owners being very accommodating, the location is great and it definitely felt like a beach oasis!
Pros: Amazing people, friendly and warm and so clean
Pros: This place was fantastic , extremely clean , bed was amazing , ideally located in the heart of Belmar n 2 blocks from the beach. Staff was a knock or phone call away for anything I needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone going to stay in Belmar .
Pros: Staff was so kind and friendly. Bed was so comfy! Can’t wait to come back!!
Cons: We wish we didn’t have to leave
Pros: Clean and perfect location! Host was amazing and gave us all of the possible information we could ever need.

Pros: The variety
Cons: The eggs
Pros: The smoothies for breakfast
Cons: I received lots of bug bites during the night!
Cons: Didn’t dislike anything there!
Pros: The front desk staff was exceptionally nice.
Cons: Two days they didnt clean my room. I had to complain.
Pros: Nice location
Cons: Lumping bed
Cons: No electricity for a few days
Pros: Very clean and breakfast is great!
Pros: Everything very clean room great breakfast
Pros: Convenient location, great breakfast.
Cons: Shower strength could have been stronger. There was no line/cord in bathroom to hang bathing suits to dry after swim.
Pros: The food!!!! And fuel bag
Cons: In one bed the pillows reeked of old cigarette snoke
Pros: Clean, comfortable beds
With a stay at The Hewitt Wellington Hotel in Spring Lake (Spring Lake Heights), you'll be a 4-minute drive from Belmar Beach and Boardwalk and 10 minutes from Jenkinson's Boardwalk. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location is amazing and the rooms are huge
Cons: No bar or mini bar available
Pros: Staff was responsive however the room was not very clean. A major stain on the duvet. It was chained immediately and no working light bulbs in bathroom These things should be checked before a guest checks in It is however a lovely place and I would come again
Pros: I love staying here, the staff is very accommodating. Very helpful. The breakfast was a bit improved.
Pros: We have been staying at this beautiful hotel for 3 years every summer. Hewitt Wellington is a beautiful property. It has a wrap around porch in the front overlooking the lake. It is one block from the beach. When we arrived, our room had some water issues so they upgraded us to the third floor. The room was so beautiful and it had a balcony. We really loved the room. Staff is very friendly and the room was very clean. The beds are very comfortable. I am a fussy person and this place is really great. They give you beach passes, chairs and beach towels. They upgraded the lobby and it is beautiful. I always enjoy my stay there and would highly recommend this property.
Cons: They have a continental breakfast and it is much better than last year. We usually eat there because it is included in your stay.
Pros: Great location near beach and lake. Beautiful property. Spacious and comfortable room.
Pros: I liked the porch and the location. Spring lake is beautiful so just walking around was a pleasure
Cons: The only thing I can complain about it is the breakfast. Entenmans cakes and canned fruit is not my idea of breakfast. They have such a nice restaurant in the hotel that I was surprised at the lack of healthy choices. They did have yogurt and hard boiled eggs but wasn’t sure if they were store bought. They breakfast doesn’t open up till 8, it would be nice to have coffee (and decaf coffee too) available before then
Pros: Our room had a balcony which overlooks the lake and very close to the beach.
Cons: We have no negative feedback
Pros: Great location and very comfortable .
Pros: My room was comfortable and clean. I love the location. We love to walk so it’s easy to walk into town and fairly easy to the beach.
Cons: They do offer breakfast but it doesn’t open till 8am. I wish they would have regular and decaf coffee for you earlier. It would be great to have a cup of coffee sitting on the porch.
Pros: Beautiful room and a great location. The whole area was beautiful and very friendly people.
Pros: Breakfast was delicious (as per my kids). I personally loved the coffee - nothing beats a great cup!! The location and neighborhood was excellent because the beach was a few blocks away and the environment was quiet at night.
Cons: Overall, I was satisfied. My recommendation would rest more on the staff being more welcoming. When I checked in I was given a list of directives and how to and then sent on my way. Every morning when I would say good morning all I got was a good morning back. Like I said, I was satisfied. However, as a frequent traveler that engages with many hotel staff a smile and "How may I be of further assistance?" goes a long way to making for an excellent staff. Again, no complaints as all staff executed their roles.
Pros: Like coming home as I grew up in Spring Lake and love to return. I love that it is is close enough to walk to the ocean where I walk on the boardwalk every day. It is very quiet and comfortable and I can set my own temperature very easily. It is a value.
Cons: Continental breakfast is poor so I usually skip it.
Pros: Great location. Staff was very courteous. Check in process was very smooth. Room was very nice with lots of antique touches and lovely bathroom. Access to the porch with lovely ocean view on the second floor.
Cons: One main thing we did not like was you can hear people talking too easily. A couple times people were talking loud in the hallway. The main inconvenience we had was the person in the room next to us turned on the TV real loud at night, so that we could not sleep. I knocked on the person's door, and the TV was lowered significantly. However the person apparently kept the TV on all night, so we could still hear some background noise all night.
Pros: Wonderful staff. Great victorians decore. The ocean view from balacany was outstanding.
Cons: Only wish there was an elevator
Cons: Too pricey for the offerings.
Pros: Nice place to rest for the evening
Pros: Location to beach. Ocean view enclosed and covered porch.
Pros: Fantastic beach front property. We could only get in for 1 night as there was a festival on in Asbury Park. The lady said should there be a vacancy for another night she would let us know but there wasn't. We are from England and Springsteen fans and Bruce did turn up at the festival. Gutted. The hotel was everything We wanted it to be. Simply Fantastic.
Pros: Beautiful breakfast. Water and snacks available for purchase. Discounted beach tickets for the beach. Beautiful location.
Cons: Beds very uncomfortable. Air conditioner broken. No one to call for help.
Pros: Great location, very nice host, very cool history to hotel
Cons: Needed early morning coffee maker available, beds a little uncomfortable
Pros: Friendly Staff!
Cons: No Complaints
Pros: Loved that the hotel was run by family - it has a small hometown feel. Loved the quaintness of it. It is very convenient to the beach, just walk across the road and you are on the boardwalk! The owners were friendly and had plenty of water bottles and snacks available for a small fee.
Cons: This hotel is need of updates both in the guest rooms and the lobby, and the porch. Our mattress was very uncomfortable and upon examination, found that while the bed frame was a gorgeous antique, it has seen better days. The windows did not all have screens. Check was advertised from 2-5pm, but when we arrived at 2:45pm we were asked to come back in 45 minutes. However, we did get a 2 hour later check out.
With a stay at Chateau Inn and Suites in Spring Lake (Spring Lake Heights), you'll be a 4-minute drive from Belmar Beach and Boardwalk and 9 minutes from Jenkinson's Boardwalk. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. Planning an event in Spring Lake? This hotel has facilities measuring 2000 square feet (186 square meters), including conference space. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great location
Cons: Wifi bad reception sometimes
Pros: I loved the atmosphere...very sophisticated and nice! Bed very comfortable...wished I had a chance to use the jazuzzi tub! Very comfortable and convenient stay...def. will be there again; had a nice surprising UPGRADE...and breakfest in the am had fresh everying! Was impressed :)
Cons: The only thing that I did not like, is the movie selection; no way of renting a movie in the room....for privacy...
Pros: Amenities Spacious suites Quiet, safe neighborhood Walking distance to the beach and boardwalk Friendly helpful front desk staff Complimentary continental breakfast and coffee
Cons: We were told each room had a wine bottle opener but ours did not, which led to two trips to talk to the B&B staff. She was apologetic and very helpful getting me what I needed though, including my pick of wine glasses!
When you stay at The Asbury in Asbury Park, you'll be in the entertainment district, within a 5-minute walk of Asbury Park Boardwalk and Asbury Park Convention Hall. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk.
Pros: Very pleasant female staff member at reception. Bright room. Music in evening was lovely.
Cons: We thought that the room was quite small for the amount charged. There was no refrigerator which was essential for storage of my husband's medication. One was provided when requested but was too large for the area and was a nuisance. We were supplied with two blue tumblers only. These were never washed by cleaning staff in four days. I did not think we received value for money.
Pros: The vibes;
Cons: Rooms weren’t clean.
Pros: Dog friendly and everything is right at your fingertips !! Love the decor and absolutely love the positive vibe the place has! Staff was on top of everything.
Cons: Wish they had a restaurant . Food truck was delicious though.
Pros: Asbury is nice. Staff was nice
Cons: The hotel is a dog kennel. Dogs in the lobby, dogs at the bar, dogs in the elevators, dogs barking from rooms all down the hallways. The rooms are like prison cells with linoleum flooring, probably for easy pet clean up. Absolutely disgusting. 400 dollars a night.
Pros: nice pool. good location. should be coffee maker in room or free coffee in lobby.
Cons: Free Coffee in lobby per online, or coffee maker in room. no free coffee in lobby. expensive; rate should be closer to $ 225 to 250..
Pros: The pool and the service at the desk was very helpful. Overall the hotel vas quiet at night and the allow dogs to be at the pool area which I was very grateful for.
Cons: Checking in at 4pm is overall ridiculous especially when traveling with a pet on a hot day. Also, when you're just cleaning up a room where the guest is staying another night and maid service again is about 4 . I think it should be no later than 12 or 1pm.
Cons: This is the third year we have stayed at the asbury for our sons birthday and this was the first year we had a less than desirable experience. They placed us in a room directly above their private event space and our floors literally shook until 1 am. We have two younger children and asked to be moved as the noise kept them up all night. After much pleading they did move us but to a smaller room and wouldn’t amend our bill for the change since they “accommodated us” — this will be the last time we stay there as a family - it was tight, uncomfortable and I felt like we were complaining the entire trip over common courtesies.
Pros: location was great pool was great staff was good
Cons: waiting way too long to get ice for cooler--- need to have self-service ice machines too noisy in hallways when drunk travelers coming in at all hours
Pros: The lobby
Cons: Luxury hotel? Hardly. No carpeting, Ikea-esque night tables w clip on lights feels like a room set up quickly in someone's basement. Service was bad too. Valet watched us unload all our bags and didn't offer to help, get a cart, anything. Never agai
Pros: Very cool and fresh amenities
Cons: No refrigerator , microwave or ice machines!!!! Hotel tries to nickel and dime you for everything! No complimentary breakfast or even a cup of coffee. We will never stay again. Mandatory valet parking in their own almost empty parking lot. Ridiculous.
Pros: Rooms were reasonably clean
Cons: Noisy lobby and hallways; limited food options for persons with allergies; extra charges for room refrigerator; spiders in room; not family friendly; description misleading
Pros: Location was great.
Cons: My room had a malfunctioning thermostat and the room temperature changed to a much colder temperature in it's own. I was frozen for 2 nights in a row even after bringing it to the property's attention the morning after it first happened. I ended up leaving a day early because both my gf and I got sick. The property allowed us to cancel on such short notice but did nothing to compensate for the 2 bad nights we stayed. Needless to say I'm disappointed and dissatisfied.
With a stay at The Inn at Ocean Grove in Ocean Grove, you'll be a 4-minute drive from Asbury Park Boardwalk and 6 minutes from Belmar Beach and Boardwalk.
Pros: Great location with long ocean views from decks.
Cons: Access to closet and TV needs to be modified, but no big deal.
Pros: Location was nice Breakfast was nice
Cons: Poor check in routine Poor check out Tv was not working Wi if not working Asked they could help with my bags after I was already up the very difficult stairs and asked again after I was already down to funny The bathroom levels were very dangerous I fell in each time I went in At night never given the code for the door so we had to try to contact a person lacking many details
Cons: old worn out bed was uncomfortable. rest was good.
Pros: Chef Annie is a master of the culinary arts! I have to eat low carb, and the scrambled eggs and homemade quiches were superb! Full course breakfast, rather then empty calorie continental!
Cons: On the 3rd floor of the Inn. Hot water could have been warmer. Only minor complaint.
Pros: The accommodations really met our needs, the staff was extremely helpful. Ocean Grove is just beautiful, and my wife definitely plan on returning to the Inn at OC the first chance we get!
Cons: Perhaps, parking. Luckily, we were able to find it just when we needed it.
Pros: The home cooked breakfasts were amazing! Blueberry waffles, Apple cinnamon pancakes, biscuits and gravy, quiches. The roof deck was delightful to sit on. It overlooked the ocean but was a peaceful place to sit. The staff were very helpful and fun to hang with.
Cons: It’s an older building so the stairwells are kind of tight.
Pros: The comfort , staff , cleanliness and location
Pros: Room was airy, sunny, and clean with modern amenities like tv, modern electrical outlets, iron and hair dryer. Beds and mattresses were new and comfy. The building is historic but not beat up. This is not "old" Ocean Grove on the inside. Breakfast area and dining room is pretty and comfortable.
Cons: It's a little ways past the center of all the activity in town, which could be a problem for people with mobility issues. Also, not right on the boardwalk but an easy walk there.
Pros: What wasn’t to like. The property was clean and comfortable. The staff was hospitable and friendly.
Cons: There honestly wasn’t anything I’d actually complain about other than not having hot water for shower, BUT it’s 90* so it didn’t bother me as it may others.
Pros: Location and the staff.

Pros: Must say ... better then I thought. Reminded me of Clevelander back in the day .
Pros: Across the street from the beach, next to the Stone Pony, super comfortable beds, great staff!
Cons: Could be cleaner

Cons: Washer n dryers not in all floors
Pros: It was very clean.
Cons: Hotel was on a busy road, but other than that there was no issues at all.
Pros: Pancakes and sausage and potatoes very good. scrambled eggs overdone with burn marks
Cons: see above! Scrambled eggs
Pros: Add more of a variety pancakes, cereal and keep the other foods
Cons: That the power went out and no elevator.
Cons: The walls are very thin. Could hear every baby and kid crying and all other things going on from the whole floor, not just adjacent rooms. Also, breakfast was a poor offering.
Pros: The shower was nice
Cons: the beds were not as comfortable as I thought it would be for a king size bed
Pros: Cleanliness!!! Amenities!!!
Pros: Friendly staff very clean and very quiet at night
Cons: Wish you had outside pool it would be a great improvement especially when you had to much fun and sand at the beach
Pros: New construction and comfortable beds!
Pros: Easy to book clean and quiet
Cons: Price high
Pros: Place is clean & breakfast is good.
Cons: I didn’t like being in the basement/lower room & I didn’t like the loud noise late at night coming from children & adults in that particular section.
Pros: The breakfast and nice staff
With a stay at Normandy Inn in Spring Lake (Spring Lake Heights), you'll be a 2-minute drive from Belmar Beach and Boardwalk and 10 minutes from Asbury Park Boardwalk. Featured amenities include a library and coffee/tea in a common area.
Pros: The people who worked at the inn were lovely and met our expectations
Cons: The Inn was once a beautiful spot that had a historic sensibility that was pleasing. After many years the Inn feels dark, uninviting and in need of a face lift. In addition during breakfast an older woman that worked in the dining area decided to clean an reset the tables while patrons were dining. I don't appreciate silverware dropping and windex being sprayed while eating. The dining area is too dark and gloomy and doesn't allow for you to enjoy the sunny days. For the price paid I beleive amenities should include more than 2 rough old bath towels, larger shampoo bottles and a decent bar of soap and would it be so difficult to provide bottled water in the rooms. Nothing special- no chocolates fruit, water etc. It was a bit like the Holiday express. Ive stayed at the Inn at least one dozen times but will look for a change next visit as the Normandy Inn is not what it should be any longer
Pros: Great location and friendly staff!
Pros: Breakfast was just okay .. for a B&B I've had high-quality breakfasts with home-baked bread and custom dishes. At the Normandy, you order from a set menu, no daily specials. Location is great, a block from the beach and they give you beach badges and chairs, no umbrella.
Cons: Much of the staff was younger, so a bit inexperienced. Outside of the Inn's control was a house party directly behind the building which had a live band playing until 11:00 PM which is the town's ordinance time limit. Too late. I was not happy about it and called the Inn Keeper. Left a message, she called me back and was polite, not much she could have done. Parking is limited.
Pros: The place was adorable. Every day at four the inn keeper puts out fresh baked goods, coffee, tea and water. The free breakfast is delicious. We rode their bikes every day and used the fresh towels are chairs. Only complaint is the bed is so squeaky every time you move.
Cons: The bed
Pros: I liked the old style, the bed was comfortable and it had a nice vibe to It.
Cons: I didn’t like that the walls were very thin and the shower took forever to get hot.
Pros: Gorgeous front porch to relax on, walking distance to the beach, very friend staff & helpful especially Janice.
Cons: The beds weren’t that comfortable.
Pros: Close to the beach well maintained friendly staff
Cons: Rooms r on the smaller side
Pros: Location/close to beach. Friendly service, good homemade breakfast and coffee, amenities (beach pass, towels, bike, afternoon tea, fridge use...though any decent BnB should have all this anyway). Nice porch to hang out on.
Cons: Beds very basic (cheap, super firm mattresses) and very loud just getting in, out or turning. Old, flat pillows. Our shower knob very hard to turn (elderly, arthritic or weak have no shot!). Never seen gratuity envelopes at a BnB both in room...and at breakfast?? Main doors could use some oil, trying to be considerate to others at nite was impossible.
Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. A really nice place to stay.
Cons: We wish the ice maker worked.
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful. Would like more health y choices.
Located in Sea Girt, Beacon House is by the ocean, just a 2-minute walk from Sea Girt Lighthouse and a 3-minute drive from Manasquan Beach. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very clean, close to the beach, friendly environment.
Pros: Loved the location. Close to the beach. Would stay again. Nice pool and friendly service. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Bed was small compared to my home King size bed. Otherwise everything else was perfect.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and the grounds of the property were beautiful and well manicured
Cons: Our room (North Island) has a tiny bathroom and shower - could use more space!
Pros: The staff and the location!!!! What an amazing customer service. We felt amazing. They provide everything to make your experience at the Beacon unforgetabble. The check out is at 11am. But that is not a problem if you want to leave later. They provide a cabana for you to use if you decide to spend the day at the beach and take a shower there. They even give you clean towels to use!!! Location, one block from the beach and cross the street from Parker house!!! What else do you need?
Pros: Everything. The two woman made is extra special for our anniversary! We had a wonderful time.
Cons: Nothing. Loved it all
Pros: All the staff were entirely dedicated to providing superlative guest service. This is one of the finest inns we have stayed at in New Jersey, well worth a trip
Pros: Very kind personal. Next time again! After checkout we were also allowed to use the pool, Bikes, towls for the rest of the day.
Pros: The cutest little B&B! I visited for just one night (I wish it was for longer), before we had a family wedding. My sister and I stayed in the twin room. The staff was wonderful, made accommodations for our late arrival after a delayed flight easy, and the breakfast was amazing.
Cons: I have no complaints! This is a perfect place to stay for one night, or an entire week. It is right on the shoreline, the pool is cute and perfect for children. The staff was incredible!
