The staff couldn't have been nicer. The lobby and the building itself is absolutely gorgeous. The location of the hotel is prime for going to the boardwalk or the nearby venues such as the Stone Pony. The pool was a really nice area in which to relax. The rooms were nice but for $300+ a night (the going rate for a summer weekend), I would have expected it to be nicer. The room was small, which was expected, but it seems the room hasn't been updated in several years. The bathroom is a bit strange - at least ours was. The sink was super shallow and the shower doesn't have a curtain or door. It has a glass panel that doesn't fully prevent the water from spraying onto the bathroom floor. Not the worst hotel room I've stayed in but not the best one for the price paid.
Great location! Right across from the beach and walking distance to everything. Staff was friendly - everyone smiled and said hello. Easy and quick check in process. S L O W elevators!
the people that work at the hotel was very nice, polite and friendly the maid that clean my room was very sweet, polite and respect woman because i gave her a tip and she was happy the breakfast was terrible the chair of the pool a lot of them are broke and no comfortable at night people screaming and very noise,i call the security to let them know i ask for ocean view but the room only had very little ocean view a building was block the view because i was on the 4 floor,i pay the ocean view and i feel i loss my money because the view was horrible
The hotel is conveniently situated across the street from the beach and boardwalk. We had called and asked to arrange for parking but when we arrived we were told that they were all booked up because of a wedding and we had to park at meters. Our bathrooms were dirty. There was a safe in my friends room but none in mine and when I asked why I was told that it didn't matter anyway because they didn't have the keys for them. My friends bed sheets were stained and she asked for housekeeping to change them and was told that that was normal wear and tear. We wanted to go to the hotels bar located on the first floor but we're told they were closed until August but then they opened the next day. Right now it's 1:22am and I'm sitting here waiting for about an hour now for someone to come because our tv doesn't work. Not worth the hefty price per night. It's definitely a 3 star hotel at best
The outside of the hotel looks better than the inside of the hotel. The hotel is located in a quieter section of the boardwalk. I received a text message at 2 o'clock telling me my room is ready, when I arrived at 6 o'clock my room was not ready. They upgraded me to some sort of better room however it was disgusting! Holes in the couch, dirty windows and Doors that were falling off the hinges. The valet boys do not help with the bags. They only allow you to keep your car until 12 o'clock for an additional $20 fee
Location. No parking available for my car. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. No holder for the toilet paper, we had to leave it on the floor in the bathroom. TV reception was poor. TV was not an HD TV which one would think was standard in 2016, especially at a net rate of $250/night for a beach hotel. Handle on chest of drawers was broken couldn't use the second drawer. None of the drawers were on their tracks. Sliding closet doors were off the track. Touted as a dog friendly hotel, the cleaning crew was not obligated to clean the room if the dog was in the room at the time they arrived.
right across from the beach
The location and the view were great. The pool was also nice. We spent $600 for two nights at this hotel. A beach weekend for our family of four. When we checked in, they said we could park our car for the first night only (which we had to pay $20 for) but we'd have to move our car to street parking by noon the next day because there was a wedding and they wanted to reserve the onsite parking for wedding guests. That seemed crazy to me. The street meters had a 3-hour limit, so we spent our weekend walking back to the street every 3 hours to feed the meter. A good hotel doesn't do this to their guests. The building looks pretty run down from the outside. It's old and there were some broken windows. Our room was fine, but the overall experience wasn't worth the money we spent. I'd look for something else next time.
We were given free parking to compensate for the fact that our room was not ready upon our arrival. The hotel restaurant was not available during our stay, which was a huge disappointment. The handles on the dresser were broken, the volume button on the iHome was broken, and there was some sort of water damage to the ceiling. There was also a round of housekeeping where some trash was not removed.
Location No hot water in the morning.
Guadalupe at the front desk was awesome!
The ocean view was so relaxing. Hotel was quiet, but going off season, that's to be expected. Bed comfortable, staff helpful and nice. Hot water took over ten minutes to go on. Windows drafty and hotel is old. They can use some updates. Had some issues checking in that annoyed me but overall it was ok.
Service was the best I've seen
Location The front desk person kept disappearing and people trying to check in were asking me if there was anyone working I asked for a cork screw and front desk refused to look for one and said "we don't have any" and then tried to give me scissors to "break into" my wine- never once said I will make the suggestion to my manager to have one on hand for guess
The room was very clean. Very friendly people working desk . Kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the morning breakfast was very nice. Paying $3 for a bottle of water from there snack center.
The design of the hotel is beautiful. Fells very west coast and has great access to the beach. Rooms are really small and do not have anything like, coffee machine, fridge, or microwave. Also no adjoining rooms in the hotel.
1. Location. 2. Decor 3. Cleanliness 4. Friendliness of staff 5. Size of bathroom 6. The rooftop lounge: Gorgeous views over the entire city. It's nice that there is a separate entrance than the hotel to get to the lounge. 1. The room decor looked like it was Ikea. Clean lines, but looked cheap. 2. Poor design of shower. Nice big bathroom. I liked the tile. Note that my bathroom had a standup shower, not a tub (I'm not sure of all rooms though). The water from the showerheard must have exceeded the drains ability to drain, because by the time I was done, the towel I placed on the floor was soaked!!! Not moist but soaked. The threshold may not have had enough heights. 3. I was in my room until sometime in afternoon. The cleaning people knocked and said I wasn't ready, but they never came back. Not that I'm particulary smelly so it didn't matter much, but it would have been nice to have come back to a made bed.
Really enjoyed the nightly live music events in the lobby/bar area! The hotel is also about 3 blocks from the Boardwalk, and a 5 minute drive to downtown Asbury Park, where there are some great little restaurants and bars. Just an excellent location. The rooms have a very "college" vibe, but are bright, homey, and comfortable. You can also order food delivered directly to your room from a local place called JR's, which has a large menu and pretty good food.
Location was excellent - hotel bar, lounge areas, entertainment options and pool, etc. were great. Our room was on the small side and was missing basic things like a coffee maker. I like the modern look, but the room wasn't upscale modern, it felt very ikea modern. So for the week-day rate/deal I got, it was fine, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay any more for the room we had.
Close to the beach and boardwalk Floors are thin. Was constantly woken up during the middle of the night
I was a very nice stay. Courtyards aren't usually top tier so that's why I gave it 4 stars however it was nice and clean and comfortable. The pool was freezing cold and really needs a heater and the whirlpool had far too much chlorine which made me feel a little sick after use.
Great value for the cost. Not many dining options nearby, but Wawa across street offers a surprising variety of healthier grab-and-go options.

Absolutely loved this place, so much that we stayed an extra day! Loved how it's next to the beach and The Stone Pony, the two reasons we were in town. This place is a judgement free zone and everyone was so comfortable there. No complaints
Beautiful location and helpful staff. Poor breakfast.
Great combination of B&B and hotel. Turn of century boarding house, updated in keeping with period but modern facilities. Nicely decorated room, good closet space and amenities, bathroom updated and adequate. Will return. Good value in the Fall. Not far from beach, on the lake.
I loved the atmosphere...very sophisticated and nice! Bed very comfortable...wished I had a chance to use the jazuzzi tub! Very comfortable and convenient stay...def. will be there again; had a nice surprising UPGRADE...and breakfest in the am had fresh everying! Was impressed :) The only thing that I did not like, is the movie selection; no way of renting a movie in the room....for privacy...
The price was right for a few nights stay at the Jersey shore. The people at the front desk were helpful with questions asked. Liked that there was breakfast available. There were some noisy people next door. The bathroom door would not stay open when trying to get fresh air inside. Was concerned about an elderly lady who sat outside and smoked . Every time we would enter/exit the hotel she was there. Just a little weird.
Breakfast in the morning, cleanliness and convenience and the pool.
??? Stained Sheets, messy halways, nasty smells. Generally ghetto.
Relatively clean, inexpensive accommodations Loud shouting in the halls throughout the night - difficult to sleep.
5 minutes from the beach, parking included. the only hotel that was avail holes in the curtains.holes in the blanket. balcony door doesn't open. really bad mattress VERY NIOSY FROM PARTYING STUDENTS IN THE NEXT ROOM 140! FOR AN UGLY MOTEL?! REALLY?!
Mentally illed people walking around the hotel asking for cigarettes. The goverment might have put him in there to stay.
The type of customers that stayed at the hotel at the same time we did were shady looking characters. I honestly worried about my wife and children on a couple of occasions when I left them in the room to pick up a few things. the guests staying above us were loud and disruptive on the night we stayed. The were "partying" till about 2:30am. The front desk was unresponsive and when called did nothing to address the situation, as a result my wife went upstairs and respectfully requested that they keep it down as we had two young children attempting to sleep. We then received a call from the front desk saying that we were not to disturb the guests and if we "disturbed" the guests again we would have to check out and the police would be called. We were baffled! The grounds were filthy and we had to have our room changed because of the smell of our initial room. Dont stay here, if you do remember: "I told you so!"
Really not near anything. No place to eat.
My name and I stay in a lot of hotels while we're on the road and this is literally one of the quarter we've ever been to. We drove all day from Providence, RI for a site the next day in Asbury Park, NJ. We cost this hotel because it had 3 beds and a kitchen which is pretty rare. It was freezing outside. When we got into our room the great was completely off and unplugged (I assume to save energy) so the room was also freezing. The room actually had two heaters one of which never worked for our entire stay. The next day I went down to the office to complain that the heater was not working. The "lady" at the front desk basically called me a liar repeatedly saying that I didn't know what I was talking about. We were going to stay for another night but they were so rude that we decided to go to a different hotel. Later that day, they called us and claimed that we had stolen two of their pillows. I tried to explain that no one in my group had any reason to steal pillows but again they claimed I was lying. Then they charged $20 to my credit card to make up for these imaginary pillows. Which I believe is illegal because this charge was not authorized.
There was nothing to like Room 125 Manager: Keith Date of stay: August 15th 2015 Duration of stay 4 hours.... and drove back home (2 1/2hrs.) Recommendation: Never stay here. 1) I requested a non smoking room and received a room full of fumes...Cigarette smells and mildew / moldy scents 2) The ceiling had a massive crack from the main door to the opposite side of the room.... I had asked if there was water damage since the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were full of mildew and coming down. 3) Floor tiles were lose and coming up 4) This room was totally neglected, The main door to the room was rusted out... right hand conner of the door was deteriorating and seemed as if someone could kick right through 5) I asked for a pet friendly room, but I should have asked for a human friendly room.... i sure my dogs would have gotten sick if I stayed longer. 6) The Pictures online did not remotely match the hole in the wall I stood in 7) The linens were clean but the beds looked like they needed to be tossed. I was totally afraid that I would take home bed bugs or crabs! 8) If anyone fails to mentions, this location is flanking a bar/club .... yes... young loud college frat kids that will be up all night will be your neighbors 9) I have read the reviews here and I can't agree with any of the cleanliness comments.... this place should be considered a motel... the "condom" on the floor in the hall speaks for it self 10) Price: 225.00.... it should have been $60.00 per night.... 11) I was a 1 of 2 groups made up of 4 individuals...... both groups said: "HELL NO" we can't stay here.... and headed back to Brooklyn NY 12) Keith the manager, did not want to refund my card... he told me directly, that if I called Consumer's affairs, all I was trying to do was to blackmail him for a better rate.... ????????? Help me understand that....
