We were going to see a play at the Berkshire Theater Festival and this was by far the closest low-priced motel. Served its purpose very well. For one night, it was just right. As there is no pool, patio or gathering area, it would not be the right place for a week-long vacation with a family. But a place with those amenities would cost at least twice as much in that area.
Room and barhroom were very clean, well-kept, condition like new. Loved the King bed, microwave, fridge and hairdryer. Very near Stockbridge, Shrine of Divine Mercy and Lee premium outlets. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit the Shrine. Was double charged by priceline and then by hotel. Refund still in process 4 days after check in. However, Priceline guaranteed the refund, so I'm not so worried. Apprecited that staff was quick to apologize for error though. Minor comment, the pillows were too thick and were uncomfortable for the neck, but sleeping on the side helped. Breakfast was not impressive at all - just coffee, juice, bread and a glazed danish.
Very nice, clean, basic motel room. The location was good for Tanglewood, which was just what we needed. The pool was refreshing and clean. And attitude is everything: the Manager was exceptionally friendly and willing to help with local knowledge to make our stay that much nicer. Thank you! We'll come back next time we're in the area.
It is a motel, well kept and clean. Small dated rooms, comfortable bed uncomfortable chairs. The bathroom had a small sink, but a nice big shower/tub. Price was low for the area, but high for a typical roadside motel. It is the Bershires after all.
Location was great for us-we were in town for a class reunion & the Rodeway was literally right up the street. Room said no smoking, but it smelled like smoke - this is a real turn off for non-smokers.
It was conveniently located. Because this motel is located in a popular destination they are able to charge a ridiculous amount for a no frills serviceable motel that includes furniture in poor condition. This motel is worth maybe $90/night not the $200 I paid. I don't mind and have stayed in no frills motels but I really hated being over-charged for it.
The room felt very homey, and there's lots of restaurant options within 5 minute drive. When you drive up at night, it doesn't look nice. But that is a just an unfortunate impression since it looks great in the light of day.
Super friendly and thoughtful owner, with a clean and comfortable facility in a lovely setting. The bathroom was very small and equipped with a tiny shower stall.
CLEAN, UPDATED ROOM, FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF, DIDNT HAVE TO ASK FOR THE PASSWORD FOR WIFI ACCESS WAS GIVEN CODE AS SOON AS WE CHECKED IN
