Great location, ok hotel
It's located close to Penn Station and subway lines, between 6th and 7th Avenues, and an easy walk to Times Square.
The hotel is wedged into the middle of a busy block. There are only 2 elevators which have to be shared among guests and employees trying to clean the rooms. Going up and down at peak periods requires a lot of patience. As well, the room is very small (though likely ok by New York standards). With two of us and suitcases, it was a very tight squeeze around the room. The A/C fan blows freezing cold air, while under the blankets, you sweat.
Great service. Luggage service is organized. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Location was perfect. Warm chocolate chip cookies!
I booked this hotel because of its location.
The hotel did not have the room I was upgraded to. The hallways and the room offered to me looked well used and not particularly clean. And, there were no hot water at the hotel. I decided against staying in and moved to a different hotel.

1. no complimentary water bottle (this should cost the hotel no more than $0.20 / bottle) 2. I am a Hilton's Rewards member, but because I booked through Kayak, I did not get credited by Hilton for my points for the stay. Also, I normally would get high speed internet through my Hilton's Rewards, but that too, was not available. I find the above two items annoying for a frequent traveler & petty on Hilton's part. With the plethora of hotel options in NYC, it is just too time consuming not to use a "hotel search engine".

Everything was great
Staff was excellent. Bar was golden after we got to the hotel from both exploring and enyoing the city. Concierge was great! Plenty of places around to eat including the hotel. Nice view with a glimpse of the Empire from our room.
Rooms were clean, a little cramped, but its NYC. The staff (maids) tends to be forgetful about simple items like toilet paper or anything to stir coffee with! Location its a mix, depending on the line needed. Sometimes we went to 34th ST in order to get some other line.
