10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was exceptional. First day we had the full english which was really nice and the next day I had american style pancakes that were freshly homemade and they were heaven and every morning had fresh fruit to choose from all cut up in bowls on a table and choice of cereal and yoghurt. it was so lovely. The beds were comfortable on the bed there is soft or more firmer pillows me and my husband worked out our preference of pillows. Hubby had the soft ones and I had the firmer. Me and my husband are fussy with pillows but slept well and it was a comfy bed. The bathroom was big the shower was so nice to get in and had everythijg we needed. We had tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom and was very well equipped even with nice biscuits and chocolate each every morning and fresh milk and fresh water every morning in our own fridge. Debbie and Gordan the owners were very lovely and welcoming and made our stay enjoyable. Would deffinatley stay again it was so nice and stunning for a B&B. The best one I have stayed in better then your conventional hotel.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Bloodstock barn is a modern B&B tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Although it's in a small village there are plenty of places to eat, both in the village and nearby. At the same time it is an ideal base from which to explore the region. The hosts are friendly, accommodating and eager to make your stay enjoyable. And the breakfasts are brilliant!
Cons: If I was being picky I would suggest a grab handle in the shower (for us older folk!).

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was wonderful with only a short walk on the flat into Newmarket centre. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We just had a couple of issues with breakfast with inconsistency of cooking of omelettes and haddock and this one may seem petty but the toast was cold every day /only toasted on one side and the bread was very poorly sliced some pieces were tiny and did not match up with the other pieces provided!. It was as though it was sitting ready rather than freshly made with any pieces just picked up and put in the toast rack. The quality did not match the rest of the breakfast.
Cons: As above toast! petty I know however, this is a quality establishment and this let it down.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was an ideal location in lovely surroundings. The hotel staff were very professional, courteous and provided a great service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful from the moment we arrived, dinner amazing, leisure club relaxing and inviting. Had a lovely chilled night away.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We stay here regularly. The staff are excellent, the rooms clean and comfortable with high end tea and coffee supplied and with fresh milk and water in a mini fridge. The bar is comfortable with table service and the reception professional, efficient and friendly The breakfast is buffet for the cereals, juice etc but the hot food is individually cooked and served by nice helpful and well trained staff
Cons: The food is good but the soufflé was a disaster (two of us had it and the were terrible) - it won't stop me returning
6.7 Good
Pros: The food and the hospitality of staff and the bed was comfortable
Cons: Hotel furniture needs cleaning or updating. Bathroom had black around bath in some areas and floor looked dirty from age and wear.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting and staff.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and the bathroom was quite large. The breakfast had nice selections and the wait staff was very nice. All of the staff we encountered were very nice and went out of their way to help with anything we needed. At one point, I needed ice because I had twisted my knee - it showed up in a champagne bucket!
Cons: We had some technical problems with the mini frig, but they got it fixed on the second try. The gravel driveway is a bit hard on suitcases, but it was probably put in before wheeled suitcases were the norm.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Insulted by restaurant manager. Informed duty manager who stood there and didn’t say a word. Do not pay over £200 a night to be insulted. Have been many times before and will no longer be returning. A disgraceful experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Bedford Lodge was a lovely place to stay, the bed and room were comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant. The hotel has lovely grounds and nice fitness facilities. While there, I took advantage of the pool (unfortunately, the hot tub and sauna were undergoing renovation, but should be completed soon). I usually live out of my suitcase when I travel, but the room was clean enough that I felt comfortable placing clothes in the drawers, where, unfortunately, I left some of them. When I discovered this and called the hotel, they very promptly packed the left items and sent them off to me at my follow-on hotel, keeping me informed of the progress. It is easy to get to Cambridge from there and, if in the area, I would be happy to stay there again.
6.3 Good
Pros: Setting and location
Cons: I stayed here on a Saturday night to attend a wedding. I had been looking forward to it. The room was very hot and the air conditioning didn’t work so I got a poor nights sleep. At breakfast there was no where to sit in the dinning room as it was full so rather than wait for a dinning table to become free I offered to sit outside as it was warm. From walking in for breakfast to getting served a plate of hot food took 45 minutes. People sat around me were still waiting for tables inside when I left so they had been waiting for over an hour and not eaten. What sort of a place books in people to stay when they haven’t anywhere near enough dinning space to fit them in at breakfasts. When the scrambled egg and bagel came the toasted bagel could be used for hammering in nails leaving just a small amount of scrambled egg to eat. All of this would have been bad enough in the most basic of hotels but for a single room at nearly £200 a night it was disappointing. Stopped at McDonalds for breakfast on the way home. I should have just done that and stayed at premier inn.
9.6 Excellent

7.3 Good
Pros: A first class Hotel in beautiful surroundings. As usual, it was a pleasure to stay at the Bedford Lodge Hotel. Staff are friendly but professional. The food is delicious !!

Our garden room was immaculate with a four poster bed and a very pretty garden view. Thanks to the Chef and his staff for a very nice meal last night . I was there for a nearby wedding so I didn't spend much time at the hotel but couldn't really fault it for a one night stay or short break. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Evcellent breakfast.
Cons: The live music on the Saturday night was very loud, but, fortunately, the band were very good. We had not been told in advance that there would be no restaurant facilities that night but the staff kindly arranged an earlier evening meal for us, which solved the problem.
6.3 Good
Pros: Food the evening meal was very good towels bed linen clean and white
Cons: Bedroom very tired bathroom just needs revamping

6.0 Good
Pros: Nice fluffy towels, comfy beds and decent location. Breakfast was lovely
Cons: The hotel is tired and short staffed
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Very tired in terms of decor. Facilities limited. Restaurant expensive and needs a revamp! Lighting is awful! No bar separate for a drink. Carpets threadbare. Paintwork chipped and peeling. Bedroom window cracked! No noise reduction- can hear every voice and creak from other rooms. Beds are hard. Short staffed at breakfast so staff under pressure and order incorrect when arrived. Parking a challenge especially if you have a large car! All in all very disappointing! Looks a lot better from the outside than it actually is and not cheaply priced! Won’t be revisiting or recommending I’m afraid. Quite the contrary!
6.0 Good
Pros: The Breakfast was good but the staff looked overworked .The location was excellent,The information supplied by staff was also excellent
Cons: The room was a long way from reception with no lifts and my wife has had a knee replacement operation .With so many stairs this was quite difficult.Next time we will request a room on floor 1
7.9 Good
Cons: The room wasn't that spacious when it came to getting out of one side of the bed also the pillows and mattress not very comfortable.

Cons: No lift to upstairs rooms.
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good, as was the staff.
Cons: The property looks tired and needs refurbishment. It was a race weekend and there was lots of noise during the night from drunk race goers! The windows rattled when left open.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful, food very good
Cons: Only had a single bed and it was quite small , doors very hard to close so noisy when closing at night. Could do with more lighting in the rooms.

8.0 Excellent

6.7 Good
Pros: Close to town. Clean
Cons: Expensive. Didn’t actually see any staff. It’s hard to call for PIN numbers to enter property if from overseas. A local business let ya use their phone to call. Wifi is also required for email. Advertised as two beds / one bed. 1 sofa. We found the mattress belonging to the sofa bed in a wardrobe the next morning. Overall, one of our most expensive properties but least favourite.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good value for money. Good shower. Great Indian restaurant across the street.
Cons: Somewhat small room and bathroom. Slow internet. No staff present at location.
7.9 Good
Pros: Ease of check in and room was clean. Close to the high street and plenty of shops/restaurants/pubs close by.
Cons: Did not get welcomed by a member of staff, given a key code over the phone rather then in person.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good size of room. The bed was quite comfortable. Easy access with the codes given in advance
Cons: lost all power early in the morning. not possible to see much, especially to shave, could not iron my shirt for an important work appointment. Too many steps to get to teh room. How to get to the room was not completely obvious when you get in. I was in no. 4 and the door number is not visible as you have to go up a flight of stairs and walk along a corridor. A little chart showing where the room is would have made that so much easier. When the lights went out there is no phone in the room so you have to call from your own phone to the propoerty. The person I spoke to about the lights was off site and could not really help. she gave wrng instructions on how to get into the box with the breaker to rey and restore the power. The door to the breaker box was locked so the lights were never restored. This was a totally disconcerting and frstrating visit as I was there for an interview in Cambride. This whole matter really unsettled me and I arrived to the interview feeling very uncomfortable as my shirt was not properly ironed and I spet a long time trying to resove the issue to no avail. I had to leave otherwise I would have been late. This was a totally regretful stay!
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: I booked a room through the site know one answered to check me in called the multiple numbers had to book elsewhere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: Leaving
6.3 Good
Pros: NO FOOD CONSIDERING IT IS CALLED A BED AND BREAKFAST ACCOMMADATION LIKED THE BATHROOM BUT FOR TWO THINGS THE BATHROOM SINK WAS DAMAGED AND COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT ALSO WHEN GETTING IN SHOWER WATER COULD CAUSE A SHOCK BECAUSE YOU NEED TO REGULATE IT BEFORE GETTING IN AND BED MATTRESS WAS LUMPY
Cons: YOU COULD HAVE A SITTING ROOM FOR GUEST TO MIX RATHER THAN FEEL THEY ARE ALONE ALSO AT LEAST OFFER GUEST A CHOICE TO HAVE MEALS
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: No plug in sink and toilet didn't flush. Had to call the property again to get code to get in, need a amount of maintenance and it will be great
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location was very good
Cons: No staff on site. Room was tired but reasonable Parking was only public car park or on side of road
5.0 Okay
Pros: The proximity of the hotel to the centre of Newmarket.
Cons: Unfortunately the WiFi didn’t seem to work, the guest bed was in need of replacement and we only had 2 towels for 3 guests.

6.0 Good
Pros: Rooms clean and comfortable
Cons: Continental breakfast was pitiful
7.0 Good
Pros: Thought the location was excellent a little run down in area. Breakfast it would be a bonus if the orange juice, apple juice, milk could be served cold. Other than those minimal things cant really fault much.
Cons: Sometimes shower would stay constantly hot or constantly cold.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent and allows easy walking distance to the gallops and all the attractions. Laid back, pub environment provided good food, very clean and comfortable rooms.
Cons: The room walls are a bit thin. Lively chaps in next room could be heard in the early hours when they got in. Although the late night DJ didn’t really effect us.
7.5 Good
Pros: Central location for our trip
Cons: No night porter,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is how one should be. Full of character combined with great staff, very clean and very comfortable. Certainly will be the top of our list to return.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good. Well presented and well cooked and a bit of a surprise considering the rest of the hotel. Housekeeping had done a splendid job at presenting the room. However, the old saying "you can't polish a ****" springs to mind. Staff were pleasant enough
Cons: Gloomy and rancid reception area and it went down hill from there. Peeling wallpaper, gloomy room, stained walls. We were glad to get out of there. Steep stairs were a problem carrying baggage to and from rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked where it was situated in the town centre, very good. I would recommend this to others and I would certainly go again
Cons: The only thing that I didn't like was the stairs as my wife had difficult in using them as she has Osteoarthritis in her knees, that was the only problem
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Arrived late but made welcome and got a warm welcome from Danika in the morning. Thanks Clair

Pros: The bed was clean and comfy with a nice size bathroom. The bedroom was nice and airy with a fan which I find very useful as it was a warm evening.
