10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, the staff were incredible, the food was plenty and phenomenal! The game drives were incredible! We could not ask for a better experience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place in all respects. Game drives were fantastic, ranger went out of his way to make sure we saw game up close. Staff is fantastic. Low key, Great unpretentious lodge!!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We opted for this lodge cause first of all, many of the reviews pointed to the BIG 5 sightings during the safari drives. Our expectations were exceeded as we saw the big 5 together with many other big animals almost every day. Giraffes, elephants, deers and others roamed around the lodge especially at the waterhole just in front of the dining veranda! .... the experience in the tree house is unforgetable! The knowledgeable rangers and trackers were spot on ...they took us just few feet away from lions, lioness, cheetah, leopard, elephants, buffalo, rhinocerous, zebras, giraffes, deers and others! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were more than adequate, very good and varied together with an open bar. The staff were very sweet and gave their best. The lodge is not crowded and travellers make friends in a couple of hours together. The spacious hut (room) included all the necessities and bed was really comfortable.
Cons: Personally we would have loved more appropriate partitioning in the toilet area inside our room istead of curtain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities, especially eco hut rooms were splendid. All aspects of the camp were well maintained and the swimming pool was an excellent way of cooling off on a hot day in between game drives. Watching the wildlife from the comfort of the bar while sipping on a cold beverage is out of this world - make sure you take some binoculars for the smaller game that can be seen. All of the staff have dedicated themselves to ensuring your stay is as best as it could be and they are all knowledgeable, approachable and above all - brimming with South African hospitality. I can't wait to return....
Cons: There was nothing about this place that I didn't like. The entire stay was simply excellent.
8.1 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous huts, well equipped yet “back to nature”
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to get to, looked after like royalty and huge traversing area meaning all drives were very different. Guides treated all wildlife with respect. 10/10.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Umlani is magnificent. Friendly staff all around and the food was great! Really a great place to experience the South African bush!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic bush experience. Excellent, well informed guides and staff, and abundant wildlife: game, birds, insects, flowers, trees and grasses. Accommodation was extremely comfortable while still retaining a connection with the wild; reed walls and outdoor showers. Great food and hospitality.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Umlani Bush Camp lies in the Timbavati reserve, adjacent to Kruger National Park. The atmosphere is sympathetic, staff is exceptional, the food wonderful, the accommodation perfect, the game drives exceeded my expectations (although I visited Umlani 10 years ago andf therefore knew what to expect). This is a unique experience!!! Wifi is available from 10:00-16:00. We saw many animals from close by.
Cons: There is nothing I can think of that should be changed. This is a bush camp, an eco-lodge, which brings along some limitations. It's all part of the experience!!

Pros: The facilities are amazing: the tents with the outdoor shower are super comfortable, and the restaurant with the view on the waterhole is absolutely fantastic. The safaris that were included were very very good, the guide and the tracker did everything to make sure we saw the animals we wanted to see and we could get very close to the animals. One evening they surprised us with a private dinner on the deck of our tent. All staff members were fantastic, they really care that you have a great stay.
