9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great property, lots of space and privacy. Location good but might have been challenging if we hadn't had a car. Best snorkeling on the island!
Cons: Breakfast selection not to my taste - but with kitchen facilities and nearby shops, easy to supplement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing and the units being self contained are great for privacy. Generally really quite to. There is a marine reserve 10 min walk away which some of the best snorkeling we have done. Breakfast is yum and plenty of friendly furry friends too.
Cons: There was nothing to not like everything was awesome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lagoon Breeze is a welcoming, relaxing place to stay with villas which are modern, super comfortable, spacious, private and spotlessly clean. The garden setting is delightful, and a beautiful beach for swimming, kayaking and snorkelling is just across the road. We loved having the beach equipment available to use, plus there were even sand chairs available if you just want to sit on the sand, read your book and take in the view! The tropical breakfast daily was lovely, and Happy Hour each afternoon was a bonus. We had a free scuba diving lesson in the beautiful swimming pool and enjoyed it so much later booked a dive In the lagoon with the local dive company.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Good location for sunsets, and snorkling nearby. We felt renting a car was best for our needs,of connecting with friends staying elsewhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, wonderful staff and facilities, lovely relaxing environment.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very peaceful environment , great pool, toys for kids
Cons: We had ants in the kitchen
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was amazing. Breakfast was good. The villa was great for our family.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great and the location was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was plentiful and lovely, served by friendly staff. The location was great, close to beach (including sunsets) and restaurants, groceries and petrol close by. The gardens were amazing and the villa was very, very clean.
Cons: The aqua green colour of the water in the pool wasn't appealing. Our Villa leaked in several places during the heavy rain and needs attention.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The villa was very comfy. However it was next to the playground and given it was school holidays the noise from kids trampolining etc was pretty high. I had not expected roosters crowing and dogs barking from dawn to dusk but that seems to be a feature of the whole of Rarotong including Aitutaki though Aituraki does not have dogs. The breakfasts at Lagoon Breezes were very good. Office staff extremely helpful and pleasant.
Cons: Only the proximity of my room to the playground.
Little Polynesian Resort - Rarotonga - Building

9.3 Excellent (94 reviews)

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Little Polynesia Resort was absolutely delightful. Our flight got in very late but the Raro Tour bus driver, who picked us up from the airport, took us right to our suite and the lights were left on for us, beautifully dimmed which made the place look warm and inviting. A cool coconut juice was left in the fridge, a very welcome drink. Through the night we could hear the surf and on early light......from our bed....we could see the lagoon with the reef protecting the hotel. The surf was a sight. Our breakfast was lovely....an assortment of tropical fruits, fresh tea and coffee and toast. A cooked breakfast could have been ordered if we needed more but we were happily satisfied, sitting by the infinity pool looking out over the Lagoon. The Manager popped in to see us as we missed our introduction the previous night. All the staff were brilliant. The bus into town stopped right out front which was great. The Hotel decor was outstanding. The gardeners meticulously raking the sand and taking care of the beautiful tropical garden. A little slice of Paradise. It was the perfect place for adults..lovely and quiet. Highly recommend this Resort.
Cons: Not a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Truly love the ambiance and the view of the beach outside our bungalow. The beach was pristine and had no dead seaweeds laying on the sand.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was superb!! Same as the food. ( high compliments to the chef!! Setting and resort. So so beautiful! Most of all. The Staff were brilliant! Light hearted and very attentive. They ALL were an absolute credit to the Hotel/ company. A big thank you to all of those concerned for our wellbeing
Cons: Maybe uniforms of waiting staff could be laundered more often. A small thing overall.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff made you feel at home
4.5 Okay
Pros: View from the restaurant. Beach, localisation and the wifi was ok.
Cons: 1. The main big reason for my 4,6/10 opinion is that... I left my luggage at the reception because I had transfer to the airport 3 hours after check-out and the personel didnt give me all my storaged bags. I went to the airport without my few jackets. It was awful. When I called to the Little Polynesian Resort from the airport, firstly they said (please take it from us). They didn't give me my things and they want me to pay for a taxi to them. I have no words... Finally they sent my jackets throught the another person (probably not from the hotel) to me at the airport. Of course not immidiately, but after 1 hour. !!!! I needed to go to the security check at the airport and I was still waiting for these things. Awful - it's my word for that situation. 2. Second big problem. A lot of bugs in the garden room. I know, it's tropical island. I visited a lot of tropical islands, also Aitutaki, but the accomodation for that price, shouldn't have 15 mosquitos in the room, 10 earthworms, one new per hour. Extra two lizards and a lot of ants. Totally no comfort to stay. 3. Gas stove didnt work in the room. 4. Very bad, poor breakfast included in the room price. If you want something better, of course you need to pay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property was as beautiful as the pictures - infinity pool, ocean, central area, rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner was lovely and our waiter remembered our names even the next day. We had a late night flight and were offered the opportunity to use the resort facilities after checkout as long as we wanted. We were able to use a room for a shower before we left for dinner and our flight home. Beach facilities (chairs, paddle boards, etc.) were enough for all.
Cons: Resort was more expensive than some others, however, service and facilities support the higher price. TV channels are limited, but you can borrow a USB with a few movies.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts were devine, and the venue of looking out to sea and enjoying fresh air at the same time...marvelous. Staff remembered what we liked e.g. particular tea, or toast made a certain way. Staff called us by our first names, really loved this. Loved the huge range of movies available in our room. Loved loved loved the outdoor shower, and the privacy of our bungalow.
Cons: The weather for the first few days hahaha but I know that is outside your control.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was so relaxing and perfect! The staff is friendly and welcoming and call you by name after the first 10 mins. The reception is always ready for suggestions and help in booking activities and facilities. The view from the bungalow is amazing (we also saw whales just out of the barrier) and the room is really nice and comfortable. The food is good and really good service. Great accommodation for our honeymoon!
Cons: The dinner service is a little bit slow but it wasn't a problem: holiday rhythm!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and large room. Friendly staff. Nice and quiet.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accomodation was amazing, identical to pictures on brochure and website.
Cons: The location was spectacular, beautiful morning sunrise over a crystal blue ocean. Friendly locals, great food and plenty to do.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts, lovely rooms and our own private pool was awesome!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Out host Andrew was really helpful and nice at the beginning. He arranged a rental car for us, told us where good restaurants were etc. The villa itself was very spacious and right on the beach. We spent 4 very peaceful and relaxing days in Rarotonga.
Cons: The breakfast could perhaps be a bit more varied for us vegetarians/vegans ... nor real other complaints.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Superb beach location with excellent beachfront views. Villa 4 was very private and at the same time was situated right on the beach fronting the lagoon. Rooms were well laid out and comortable, lounging on the deck by the beach or inside on the couches with views to the lagoon was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience to remember (and hopefully return to). Having your own pool for a cool dip was a great additional option. Hosts were lovely and very helpful in providing anything we needed from booking rental car to advising on best restaurants and booking tables and arranging transfers to restaurants. Any needs for the room were provided without delay. A perfect stay. We also enjoyed the local beach dogs that were extremely well behaved and happily walked along the beach with anyone who showed some interest. Many of them needed an additional feed and would greatfully receive any food offered but did not pester for food, they mostly just wanted acknowlegment and attention.
Cons: Nothing to dislike about this property or the Cook Islands, you can't go wrong staying here.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the villa itself (absolutely gorgeous), the views, the beachfront (although it was windy when we were there), the hot tub on the deck, the delicious breakfast tray and the privacy. Couldn't recommend it highly enough! And anything we asked for, the hosts were happy to get for us (car, motor scooter, electric bikes, snorkelling gear, spa booking. Definitely a very romantic and beautiful location for our 30th wedding anniversary. Probably the nicest place we have ever stayed!
Cons: The windy weather - couldn't swim or snorkel out from the villa, although I did go canoeing, and we rode up to a protected area to snorkel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location and great hosts. The villa was beautifully designed and the water features added a lot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing - the villa, breakfast (I'm still craving the tropical fruit muffins), Belinda and Andrew and the whole team's friendliness, John the airport driver, the 10 second walk to the lagoon, free kayaks...spectacular honeymoon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very comfortable, clean and all was available.
Cons: Our room had no direct few to the see.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning villa! Fantastic staff who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The supplied breakfast was superb and just the right way to start a day. The in house movies and music made up for lack of tv programs
Cons: The location was a little isolated from shops and restaurants but we worked out transfers and used the public bus service

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beach was pretty and the area was good for snorkeling, actually the best of the 4 places we stayed while in the Cooks. The front office staff were very helpful and nice, as were the wait staff at the restaurant. The landscaping was very nice and maintained to perfection!
Cons: The room atmosphere was pretty much Motel 6-ish (a low-end, plain Jane motel chain in the U.S.) The room (#25) was dark and rather noisy as it was close to the road. We wished the room could have had some color and texture worked into the decor. The TV was VERY small! The chickens on site were cute and fun to watch, but left their poop everywhere on the walkways. The lady bartender at the pool bar had a bad attitude. She could hardly force a smile.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: great
Cons: get rid of the roosters?
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff that were incredibly helpful Food in restaurant at lunch or dinner was amazing better than anywhere else we ate. The new birdcage bar and pool area was great
Cons: Breakfast buffet could have had more selection Opening hours in the birdcage bar could have been longer as it was a lovely spot to sit and have a drink
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The beachfront watching the sunset was super special. It was relatively new. Clean and has two pools (too cold for me). Water was filtered so drinkable. Gardens were well cared for and pretty.
Cons: A couple of staff could have been more friendly. The local staff were nice though.

9.4 Excellent (47 reviews)

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is as good as mentioned in the previous comments. Actually, they have a restaurant attached to the hotel. Rooms and toilets are clean and tidy. Operation manager Thibault and other staff members showed great service and hospitality. Close distance to the Saturday market and other facilities such as supermarkets.
Cons: 1. Swimming pool is dirty with tree branches, leaves and etc. due to weekends so no one came onsite to clean them. 2. Roosters everywhere in that neighborhood and they made loud sounds very early in the morning. Please be prepared with ear plugs. 3. Better not to walk outside in the evening. In that neighborhood, many house owners have dogs to protect their yards and they never kept them with ropes. The dogs barked so much when you walk past their houses and some of them were really scary and aggressive which made you feel that you'll attack you any time.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, great staff and room, lovely vibe and great art
Cons: The dogs around the property!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location. Staff very friendly and helpful - lovely room and bathroom - good food at the restaurant - lovely swimming pool - away from the main town but easily close enough to walk
Cons: just a little scooter noise at night - fixed by closing the windows.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all and most importantly... The staff.every single one of them could not do enough for me. They made me really feel at home.
Cons: Nothing it was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant manager with exceptional staff! They were always so friendly and efficient! Good central location for town particularly if you are not into resorts.
Cons: Our stay could have been longer!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place to stay if you need to be in Avarua. The staff were friendly, polite, extremely helpful, and waiting at the airport when we arrived. The Lazy Trout Cafe, where breakfast was served (included in the price) was wonderful and very popular also with locals.
Cons: The bed was a little hard for our liking, but everyone has different tastes!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the food and the staff were ever so helpful . the fact that we were the only ones there at this time actually made it even better
Cons: the view of the young girls grave in the back yard even tho this seems common in Rarotonga it unsettled my partner
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay here and were surprised at how lovely the hotel is. By the time you added on the free breakfast, wifi, bicycles, and airport transfers, the value became quite clear. The staff was super friendly and helpful and we loved spending a couple of hours by the pool. Breakfast was AMAZING!
Cons: We really can't complain about anything. Of course it would be nice to have a private bathroom, but they kept it very clean and we never had to wait to use it.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Friendly staff and he was very accommodating.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting and facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant and pool were lovely.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely villas right on beach front. Great amenities.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything about the property we adored a comfy beds the interior exterior, the pool,The access to the beach also being able to use Pacific resort
Cons: If I would have to say one thing it was because we didn’t have housekeeping
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and room
Cons: Cleanliness in bathrooms Very cold pool
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The villa was really nice! Shelly and Taina were amazing! They were SO friendly and helpful! We loved having access to the kayaks, and even some water shoes. We kayaked out to a tiny uninhabited island that was really close by, and snorkeled there. It was warm shallow water, and just really felt like paradise. We also loved being right on the beach! Having a private pool was awesome, even though it was small, and it had fun nighttime lighting. We loved having a fridge with water filter too since you can't drink water from the regular tap. There was a bus stop right outside the villas, which was really convenient. A grocery store was a short bus ride away, and the kitchen had everything we needed for the times we wanted to cook. The villa had a great layout, with privacy for everyone.
Cons: The king sized bed was from 2 twins, so it had that feeling of a little crack in the center. But it was still fine and comfortable for us. Also, it would've been nice, considering the cost of staying here, for cleaning during our stay to have been included. They did clean the pool, but we would've had to pay extra for any villa cleaning since we didn't stay a full week.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: To begin with I was worried about the amount of money we spent just to stay in raro because i knew we could do it for half the price however because we hadn't ever been there before I didnt know what to expect. But im so glad we spent the extra money for such a lovely and nice place. Everyone was super friendly, helpful and lovely. We will always stay at Te Manava if we ever come back to Raro.
Cons: We didnt order breakfast daily because we thought 35 dollars each was a bit over priced, and we thought the price of the stay in general was a little bit to much but it wouldnt stop us staying again.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Had everything we needed even clothes drying rack . Very spacious, private setting.
Cons: Only one choice of pillow - which were too thick
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location in Muri close to everything and easy access to the beach and lagoon.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Shelley and Teina were the absolutely best! Very accommodating and extremely helpful. We have stayed in many high end hotels and accommodations around the world and Shelley and Teina are one of the top people.
Cons: It is only a minor thing, the hairdryer did not work. The bed was a little too soft for our liking but again this is a personal choice.

Cons: The old used plaster I found in the shower!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff are exceptional, professional and very friendly The dinner menu and food was superb.
Cons: I would have liked some more tropical fruit for breakfast, Information lacking regarding purchased Wi Fi use. Other family members were disturbed by Roosters and dogs at night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the position on Muri beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Rarotonga, and the garden, so rich in tropical trees and flowers. Good food and welcoming staff.
Cons: The room was a little bit noisy (it was near the main road) and dark.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was wonderful. Always cheerful. Kayaks and paddle boards are complementary Beach area clean Comfortable beach lounge chairs Gardens and walkways tidy and manicured
Cons: Lack of variety of happy hour food and drinks. Not enough patio seating for everyone in the room. Was double billed for room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location of the Pacific Resort Muri as everything our family desired was in a close proximity, ie easy walking distance. Before we went, we weren't sure what to expect from the breakfast (referring to other reviews) however we were more than happy with the variety and choices included in the continental breakfast included. We also thought the room credit per day was a great as it encouraged our family-of-seven on several occasions to utilize the bar and restaurant for drinks, bar snacks and meals.
Cons: Wet floor (ie. shower) in Rm 46 where four of our children stayed, was a little too wet after one or two showers. Preferred option was an enclosed shower as in Rm 27 where three of our family stayed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the time we arrived to the time we checked out. Felt comfortable from the time we meet Rob made us feel comfortable and like we were at home
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rob picked us up from the airport and gave us a guided tour back to the resort and made sure that everything was ok. If we needed anything they were there to help, units were comfortable, clean and tidy. We would recommend this resort to anyone as it was in the perfect location and close to everything. It is not a huge resort which makes it better as more private and less touristy.
Cons: The mozzies and roosters, however you get them all over the island so there was nothing that we didn't like about the resort.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I had a very enjoyable stay at the DayDreamer resort having moved from a larger hotel. The hosts Rob and Anna could not have been more friendly or helpful. The garden and setting is very nice, and the location is good. Hope to stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners and staff were amazing as was the location on the island. Handy to the lagoon and beaches handy to bars and restaurants. Close to stores and attractions. Rob has a great knowledge of the island and happy to assist you with any inquiries and help make bookings Loved the quiet relaxed setting with just enough privacy to do you own thing but also common areas to enable you to interact with other guests Highly recommend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location, the resort allow us to relax and unwind. We picked the resort because it was smaller and therefore less busy (none of the crowds, but still big enough to meet new people). Travelling as a group of nine adults the facilities allowed us to eat in on occasion. The BBQ was a hit! Our hosts Rob and Anna were great at sharing local knowledge, we enjoyed many of their suggestions for entertainment and eating out.
Cons: The early morning wake up call from the neighbourhood chickens! But you soon get use to them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast was provided on the first day and the hosts were so friendly and gave us a lot of recommendations which was great as this was our first trip to the island
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rob went out of his way to make our stay comfortable when we had a power malfunction and Anna very kindly forwarded my phone charger to me on Aitutaki after I had left Rarotonga. This was very much appreciated. Overall very quiet and serene accommodation, lovely pool surroundings and close to Vaima café and Beluga Cafe
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly, informative and helpful hosts, but were respectful of our privacy. Upgraded our room as they had availability. Had all kitchen necessities and BBQ area Left breakfast for us on first day and often dropped of fresh fruit from their gardens. Airport pick-up , drop-off and very late check-out were extra but very worth it. Easy travel on local bus that stopped right in front of resort. Best beaches on this side of island. Free use of kayak/ snorkel equipment and snorkeling at beach cross the street was excellent. Salt water pool and outside areas always clean. Beautiful gardens. Comfortable outside furniture as well.
Cons: Hard to find negatives. Mozzies got in through some windows without screens and a few small kitchen ants, but both quite normal in tropical climate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hosts. Nice pool in a lovely setting. Very pleasant and obliging cleaner. Extremely comfortable bed. Great shower. Lots of pressure and hot water.
Cons: The weather did not treat us well.
5.5 Okay
Pros: We were greeted by Rob on arrival (which was about 8am). Rob was very friendly and hospitable. Rob provided a local breakfast which was very tasty. The location of the resort is convenient for snorkelling the beautiful lagoon. Rob obviously spends a lot of time and effort maintaining the delightful tropical gardens and pool. Rob surprised us a few times with a ripe fresh fruit from one of the many trees on the property.
Cons: We chose this particular resort purely for the 3 bedroom FAMILY room that had a 9.2/10 rating for families on Booking.com. It was also one of the only rooms left on the island, which accommodated all 6 of us, including a toddler, 2 young boys and our mother in law. My wife and mother in law predominantly felt as though the resort was not child friendly. They felt as though any noise we made was listened too and frowned apon. One of the rooms had a faulty fan which only operated at full blast which meant it could not be used at night, so it became a sauna. Only having 1 bathroom in a 3 bedroom apartment is not convenient. The children broke a glass, cup and piece of cutlery. At checkout, we were honest with Rob and let him know. Rob's reaction was in line with our feelings of a non child friendly resort and he charged us $10 each item. A healthy profit no doubt. The fact that they live on the property, it feels as if you are always being watched and listened too. Overall, it was obvious Rob was new to the hospitality industry and way too emotionally/financially attached to the resort. If we had wanted a bed and breakfast style stay, we would have booked one. We all decided that if we ever decided to visit Rarotonga again it would be in a resort with air conditioning and less micro management.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great friendly staff . Amazing location with fantastic snorkeling.
Cons: Some seafood on the menu would be great. It would be nice if the bar was open during the day and not just at night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Included breakfast
Cons: Little opportunity to interact with Cook Island people in any meaningful way
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Because the check-in ended at 4 pm and we could only make it in the evening, by email, they left the room with light on and the key under the cushion so that we could arrange it by ourselves. Appreciate it for that! The hosts and staff we met at the bar in the morning were quite friendly.
Cons: The breakfast is indeed too simple as mentioned in the previous comments. But with this price and the beach location, it's acceptable. Just don't put too much expectation on breakfast :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the owners and team. They were so friendly and helpful. Everyone was so welcoming. The bar had a friendly vibe to it. We loved it so much that we stayed there again, later on in our trip.
Cons: Nothing!
6.3 Good
Pros: Location Clean
Cons: Bed hard and small Pillows hard Unwelcoming to visitors No blue sky hotspot Limited menu and bar hours No self service laundry
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Not much variation. Tired of banana muffins.
Cons: Would have been nice to have had a cereal option at breakfast.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast at the Shipwreck Hut Beachside, colourful tie-dye bedspread & curtains & cute bungalows
Cons: Lots of roosters around the property that start crowing at 4:30am right outside the bungalows!!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, and the beach offered the best snorkelling on the island! The proximity of the Shipwreck Hut bar was a bonus - it was a great and sociable location for the informail but delicious breakfast provided and a nice place to relax in the evening. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful! We were travelling with my 88 year old Mother in Law, and they went out of their way to make her feel welcome and comfortable.
Cons: The weather could have been better, but we can't blame the accomodation for that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! We stayed at the Aroa Beachside Inn for 7 nights and absolutely loved our stay. The room was everything you needed; comfy bed, good kitchen and bathroom facilities and ocean views. The location is beyond beautiful - we spent the majority of our time lounging on the beach, snorkelling and sipping pina coladas while we watched the sunsets. The lagoon outside the property has some of the best snorkelling on the island and the bar is the perfect location on the island to see the sunset! The thing that made our stay so great was the staff and owners of the property - they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. So welcoming, helpful and fun. Would 100% recommend and we would without a doubt stay there again whenever we venture back to Raro. Make sure you stick around for Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday's at the beachside bar as Steve (owner) plays and sings some amazing tunes :)
Cons: Nothing :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts Steve and Geraldine were great! Steve talked to every guest giving recommendations and answering all the questions. Live music 3 times a week, delicious BBQ on Saturdays, a cozy bar at the ocean front, snorkeling gear. If you are travelling without children, a fantastic place to stay!
Cons: No buffet for breakfast :))
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great owners and management. Very knowledgeable. and considerate.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was amazing with stunning location
Cons: Pressure in shower left a bit to be desired
9.5 Excellent
Pros: On the beach, private from the road. Nice room. Pool sheltered. The fact that it is locally owned by a family and managed by one of them. The staff were amazing. We quickly became endeared to them. I could say a proper goodbye as I was tearful over leaving.
Cons: Climbing stairs. Next time I will request a downstairs room
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location is good. Good sea view. Most of the staffs are very friendly.
Cons: My airport departure and arrival pick up is free in my previous two hotels, but this one charged 50$ for one way, and didn’t tell us until we checked out and pay the total bill. If we know it’s not free, we can take a bus in front of the hotel, which is only 5$ per person. It’s apartment instead of unit or house which may misled customers in the pictures. A lot of ants in the room, even on the bed. No booking facilities, no microwave oven, no plates, knifes and forks in the room, which make it impossible to prepare food by your own. Overall, and Consider that the price is expensive, I will not recommend this accommodation.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: All staff were friendly and helpful. We hired a car from just over the road which was great and easy. We had dinner in the restaurant which was really lovely.
Cons: Breakfast was included, but had to pay for a coffee unless you wanted filtered coffee. Breakfast was terrible they need to find a new chef
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: The beach needs to be cleaned each morning
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is awesome and staff fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our beachfront room, the view and the pool were awesome.
Cons: Thought the prawns on the Pig and Prawn night were overpriced $35 NZ for only 6 prawns, then had to pay for sides on top off that. They did taste good though.
6.8 Good
Pros: Liked that we were close to everything
Cons: Didn’t have beach access from the rooms, you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the beach each time. Restaurant menu is pretty average nothing special. Doesn’t have any gym/ cardio equipment at the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location right on lagoon at Muri Beach. Great swimming pool and friendly and welcoming staff right throughout the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach, nice and friendly staff

Cons: Tv and microwave didn’t appear to work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at the Muri Beach Resort was fantasitic! Our room was really nice, spacious and clean. All of the staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful! The grounds were beautiful and very well maintened. There is a great pool and pool bar/restaurant with good food and drinks. There is an amazing beach just steps away from the rooms. Overall, we loved this resort!
Cons: The wifi was very limited otherwise we had no problems or issues. We chose the Self Service option and I think next time we would definitely choose the Premium Service.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Tu tu the receptionist/most helpful person on the island was amazing. She went above and beyond.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were lovely that is what made the stay great
Cons: Cracked glass tables my son cut his tummy on the corner of one lucky staff removed all tables after that. There was no pressure for the shower The place needs to have some money spent to bring it back up to nice looking as it is a little run down
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend for families
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff are all outstanding
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Only had one breakfast, it was fine but had to DRIVE to the restaurant
Cons: There wasn't anything we liked!!! we rented a house which we thought was on the Muri Beach Resort BUT no we had to take the receptionist in our car up a single lane scummy track to the house up a hill (Plantation House) It was very grubby, hot water existed only in fits and starts, We were four family members, 2 sisters, 1 brother and a partner none of us had a full hot shower ever! the bathrooms were disgusting, we had one only bath towel each and in the six nights we stayed there they weren't changed nor the bed linen. We had NO servicing what so ever, if we hadn't hired a car we would have been stuck there, we thought we were going to be by the beach! for $650 per night it was a total rip off, we couldn't get the TV to work and there were no instruction books. Definitely wouldn't recommend it! it needs a total overhaul and a thorough clean, despite letting the office know a shower head wouldn't stay up nothing was done about it!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Margret made us feel like special guests from the minute we got off the plane. Tutu was amazing at getting us booked into all the activities that we wanted and recommended the best. Muri Beach Resort was beautiful and exotic and we will definitely come back.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were helpful. Location was great.
Cons: Rooms need work but comfortable enough.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning view & centrally located in Muri. Jana & Cody were fabulous hosts.
Cons: We had a bit of trouble with the crowing roosters & barking dogs disturbing our sleep but they are all over the island so this would be a problem everywhere. We would bring earplugs next time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts, Cody and Jana, were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble to make our stay so enjoyable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: we like that we could use the kyacks when we wanted. was only a few minutes walk to muri night market. close to shops and a good bakery. lovely beach to swim in and warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in Muri, handy to cafés, tour operators, vehicle hire. The venue has direct access to the beach which is superb for swim, snorkeling or using one of the kayaks that are supplied. Jana and Cody are very welcoming and friendly, and our bungalow was just perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Tho the coffee provided was the usual Nescafé there are 3 excellent cafes right next door, across the street and in the museum. The unit is immaculate and I loved using the kayak to explore the lagoon. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and well serviced. The kitchen was equipped well. The location is excellent and we really liked the small number of units at the site. There were kayaks to use.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Grounds untidy, pool very small and cold,
5.5 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable. Location was good.
Cons: We paid the extra price for a ‘seaview’ room however the only view of the sea was from the balcony or standing in the front corner of the actual room. The main view was of a wall and a very small uninviting pool. The man that checked us in was unhelpful and seemed to have no idea how the establishment was run. Would certainly not call this a 4 star hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best location! Great owners and your allowed to use the kayaks and snorkelling gear, the night food market is like one minute walk away plus a 24 hour dairy and local resorts, the best spot on the island to swim and kayak
9.7 Excellent
Pros: we were so pleased with the location , simple but perfect room and the location. we'll be back!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I liked the quaintness of local architecture with a small amount of guests.
Cons: its not what i didnt like. More that if a breakfast was served the guests could inter-act with each other. simple fruit and toast with oats or pancakes. coffee and tea.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Superb beach location. Friendly and helpful staff.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I unfortunately got severe sunburn & sick so had to cut my holiday short. Leanne & Wayne were so lovely, making sure I was ok and being so kind when I was letting them down by having to leave. I highly recommend staying here as they are the loveliest people and its a great hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast perfectly satisfactory. Location perfect for us (we have stayed at Moana Sands twice before and knew what to expect). Great to have kayaks and snorkling gear available, as well as clothes washing facilities.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: complimentary continental breakfast. fresh bananas available all day. Fantastic lagoon views from all the rooms. Free snorkling equipment (some of which needs updating!) The most amazing snorkling right off the beach!!!! Very handy location to other beaches, restaurants, activites etc. They have a bookshelf where you can donate or borrow books. Good shuttle service to/from airport
Cons: -I returned my broken mask to reception, only to find it had been put back outside for use, still broken -Moana advised us to hire our scooter from Avis but be aware that it must be returned before 3pm saturday, they arent open on a sunday nor do they pick up the scooter from the hotel i.e. generally inconvenient!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location on the lagoon was perfect. The breakfast was sufficient which included fresh fruit and good muesli. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. There was lots of snorkelling equipment in good order to use. The bus stopped just across the road and there was a car and bike hire place 5 mins walk away.
Cons: My only suggestion would be to have some mattresses on the sun loungers to improve the comfort for lounging all day :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is in a great location right on the beach and not far from shops. It has a great restaurant attached and is not far from other great eating spots including the night markets.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our room was steps away from the water, great views, lovely staff. Includes continental breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all friendly and the beaches were lovely
Cons: The evening meal was very disappointing, almost bad and that rather spoilt things. Paying the same price elsewhere , we had some good meals around the island. They need to improve on the meals. Breakfast was ok though.
6.8 Good
Pros: It was a good location being beach front
Cons: The hotel is older with tile gout needed replaced as it looks grimy, bathroom mirrors are old with the glass not being reflective around the sides ( do to age). Paying top dollar for an airport transfer and having to call someone to pick us up as no one turned up... not acceptable at midnight with a flight to catch!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked that the room was very clean. The best thing was the very short walk out to the sea and there were fish even in the shallow water. Snorkeling was excellent where there was an abundant range of fish to look at. Breakfast was great good selection. It was lovely how the man raked the sand every morning and cleaned the water bowl where we washed our feet directly outside our room.
Cons: There was nothing that I didnt like

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and Helpful. Rooms clean. Resort very peaceful.
Cons: Breakfast need more variety of fruit. Beach was average with a lot of coral and stones. Cocktails were not the best on the Island as advertised.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location and property are so beautiful. Having the separated villa is great way to feel semi-secluded compared to the more typical hotel feels at other locations on the island.
Cons: The mattress wasn’t that comfortable - could feel the springs right through the top pretty easily.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, from the moment we arrived it felt like home
9.1 Excellent
Pros: enjoyed the consistent and high level of service, great food nice off beach private bungalow - well setup
Cons: beach not as nice as muri for general swimming activities due to the closeness of the outer reef and lack of much open area for swimming
7.0 Good
Pros: Relaxing and quiet
Cons: There was no spa on site,we were looking forward to a soak in the hot tub after our wedding . The one they had at the salon was out of order
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely private villa with ample room to relax with fine facilities- great monsoon roomy shower. Friendly staff. Variety of themed nights at restaurant and activities offered daily. Comfortable bed. Nice lounge area. Good parking for rental vehicles. Filtered drinking water and appreciated the jug of water ready to drink. Turned down service was an art. Every night the bed was turned down differently!
Cons: Loved the outdoor space to relax but the pool was a bit chilly for us and the position of our villa meant the sun wasn’t often on the pool or seating. No complimentary WiFi. Roaming chickens - this is a Rarotonga thing but I thought there may not be any on a resort. Staff were good to shoo from restaurant.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: limited catering for food allergies but otherwise good.
Cons: had to dine at alternative restaurant sometimes in eveing as unable to provide vegetarian and glutten free balanced meal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great friendly staff. The food and catering was amazing. Highly recommend to anyone for a stay in Rarotonga.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was great and the restaurant and bar at the resort were great. The island night show at the resort was fantastic.
Cons: The bathroom in our villa was a bit outdated and the shower leaked a little
7.0 Good
Pros: The location. The extra things happening each day! The daily newsletter. The daily brekky. The tie dye with the pareu... the villa room the space; high ceiling; bathroom. Aircon! The privacy.
Cons: The ants outside the room! By the pool! TV, satellite dish? The smell in the reception area by the toilets? In the hallway there... by the fish pond thing at the back resort side. The ants and insects in our pool. Not having a good hole-less scoop available to be able to take debris and dead insects out of it. The attitude of a couple of front desk staff.
7.0 Good
Pros: Close to the airport and staff were friendly and service was great. Liked the hammocks on the beach front and the happy hour cocktails.
Cons: Property is dated and could do with a revamp. Rooms are huge, but are dark and dated. Basic breakfast, which was fine. Would say it is a little expensive for what you get.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and awesome snorkelling on your doorstep! The snorkelling gear you borrow from the resort is really good. Lovely beach to walk along. Friendly staff and really good food in the restaurant. The bed was super comfy!
Cons: These negative comments are personal preference but some people will find them useful. Beautiful pool - but overlooked by the restaurant and people eating/drinking. Private deck and plunge pool - but you could hear lots of resort noise, especially if kids in main pool or running around. Bathroom walls don't go up to the ceiling - so no "privacy". A couple of nights there was lots of TV noise from the room next door. Not as relaxing and chilled as we hoped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast in the morning. Food was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. I will be coming back
Cons: Rain

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Receptionist was amazing and was so friendly. Brilliant location and our apartment was great!
Cons: Our stay was too short!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast? We were given a few starter items the first day. They were okay. If this is about our overall experience, we loved the location. The studio we were in was reasonably private except for the traffic to/from the outdoor shower. The deck was a lovely spot to spend hours looking at the gorgeous lagoon. The bed and seating were all comfortable. There was good storage space. The room was quite comfortable but could have had: a full length mirror; good reading lights on each side of the bed; hooks (some by the door to the deck, some in the bathroom, some on the wall by the "closet", some by the kitchen; a hot mitt or two; larger fry pan; more dishes/flatware/glasses; plastic storage containers for leftover food; another towel bar in the bathroom for the second bath towel (I had to hang my bath towel out in the living area so it could dry out) and MORE hangers. We were there for twelve days and had to hang two to three items on each hanger. Small cost items to add.
Cons: The above are small fixes that could help move this site to near perfection, especially for those staying longer than 3-4 days as we did. But one huge drawback was the lack of good internet reception. This was especially hard when we were "room bound" during several heavy rain days. I run a business. To get internet at this location, I too often had to go to the office by the street ... a small room with the noise of traffic and other business happening. The office closed around 6 pm so was not usable at night as a "hotspot". Regardless, this place doesn't provide free internet but does advertise internet at a charge. We knew that but did not expect to have so much frustration trying to keep in touch with assorted business issues and the need to use Skype a couple of times. The internet provider needs more pressure from the hotel group owners to make this situation better.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful location, very friendly staff and all our needs were met.
Cons: Sometimes room cleanliness/servicing was average.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived late at night to find enough bread, muesli, water, etc to see us through the morning which was much appreciated, but it sounds as if we didn't find your restaurant. Location was lovely and staff cheerful and helpful. There was so much more to do and see if we had had longer there. Thank you.
Cons: I filled out the review pamphlet at the motel more fully and handed it in to reception. We arrived late at night, and didn't realise the villas had free fins, etc for snorkelling and so hired them in Avarua. My son had troubled finding the shop again, and so we were late being ready to leave but the staff were very helpful about it. The bathroom was a bit shoddy (damaged cistern and bowl and the floor could have been cleaner, room 502,) but otherwise the villa was all we could have hoped for. All pre-stay communications were efficiently dealt with which gave us confidence in where we were going.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds. Brilliant location and nice new swimming pool. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Could do with a few more kitchen items ie. bowls for salads etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome new pool & yard area. Very friendly & helpful staff. Fabulous spa & cafe right next door.
Cons: The light at night shining through the bedroom windows & roadside door window panes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spacious apartment. Housekeeping staff are delightful. Supermarket and ATM across the road..very convenient. Bus stop at the door. Best restaurant on island just down the road...Vaima on the Beach, Restaurant and Bar
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic. Sorted all our activities for our stay. Fantastic location, loved the clean beach and quietness of the location due to not many rooms.
Cons: There was a musty smell in kitchen cupboards. The curtains could be a little bit darker to keep out the light
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location next to a supermarket, cafe and takeaway bar. A lovely small and well maintained complex, right on a beautiful beach. We travelled with 2 other families and it was ideal.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant attached to the hotel is great for lunch and dinner. The staff were super friendly and helped me plan my engagement to my now fiancée.
Cons: It’s the same pretty much all over the island but the rosters and chickens make noise intermittently all night long which can interrupt sleep. Wish they could be kept away from the rooms at night
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. Fabulous staff. Awesome sunsets
Cons: No shampoo, conditioner,moisturizer supplies
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The resort was wonderful with a very large, quiet, comfortable room with air-conditioning and a private outdoor shower! There was a front deck to sit on too. Very clean and updated! The staff were friendly! The pool area was very nice and relaxing and right on the beach.
Cons: You really need a car or scooter rental here as other restaurants were quite a walk away. Wish they had a late checkout as there is only one flight out of there to L.A. at midnight on a Friday so had to hang out in their lounge. Also, I don't know if the restaurant which is near the pool, On the Beach, is associated with them. We were very disappointed as their service was very slow. Normally it wouldn't matter, but we had the special 5 course dinner on the Friday night that we were leaving and had made reservations for 6 pm, thinking we would have plenty of time for our transport at 9 pm. Didn't get seated 'til 6:45, barely got through 3 courses, but we had to ask them to box up our main course to go as it was 9 pm. They needed more help. Other people were falling asleep at their tables! After paying $70.00 per person, that should not have happened. They forgot our dessert too and we paid for the whole thing. I also was sick on the 9 hr plane ride home. Coincidence?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This resort offered value and comfort right on the beach front..Good size clean. Opted for the Garden Studio. Snorkeling equipment and kayaks available to use. ALL staff were friendly and attentive with winning smiles. Coupled with one of Rarotongas best restaurants " On The Beach Restaurant and Bar" within the resort my stay was really enjoyable. Would I choose to stay here again?... Yes in a heartbeat.
