Location The iron in my room stopped working right in the middle of using it. The front desk didn't have an extra one to use until the next day. I had BUGS in my room! The bathroom faucet never fully turned off. Half the lightbulbs in the place were burned out. I was disgusted! I was told at MIDNIGHT that they could offer me another room...forget it. The front desk said they'd talk to the GM about the possibility of getting a refund for all my trouble...still haven't heard from them or have been refunded. They should pay YOU for staying there, not the other way around!
The staff are great and always accommodating and I appreciate the pantry being stocked with foods for quick dinners in the room. The hotel is a little dated in the rooms. They should update from bedspreads to comforters like the other hotels in this price range.
I enjoyed my stay and really liked my room. It was clean and very spacious. I was able to relax as well as work comfortably from my room.
Very nice room - clean and well kept. Service and staff were excellent. We were not thrilled with the breakfast - food was not that good. However, we all liked the bacon!
Room was clean and well maintained. Some breakfast items were above expectations while others were below expectations (is it possible to water down scrambled eggs...seemed like it). Too few staff speak or understand english. Advertised items (grab and go breakfast) did not exist, and given a run -around when I asked about it (last person in the chain said "no!"). Overflowing trash can in front of the hotel is an eyesore and sanitary issue.
My sister and I enjoyed the suite! Plenty of room and the kitchen added an extra plus.
The hotel offers large suites with friendly and green surroundings. As European, I don't like the fact that all breakfeast dishes are plastic and to be trashed (knowing that this is still common in the US...)
The staff was very friendly. The room was big and well kept.
Danielle and Heather at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Overall the staff seemed very nice. I would go back.
The staff was amazingly friendly--from the front desk to the breakfast crew to the room maintenance staff. Also, the location gave great access to major highways as well as Middlesex Turnpike (to get to the Alewife T station). It would be nice if they could refinish the metal in the elevator cabs. The rest of the interior decorations were fun and creative, but then you get into elevators that look abused and it took away from the overall effect.
The breakfast was wonderful! The room was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. Good lighting in the bathroom and good water pressure. The old blower/heater unit on the floor, against the wall. Feels very 1970s!
The property is in need of some TLC or attention. I have stayed with Sonesta before but would not stay again if this was first experience with them. Bathroom had hair on the edge of tub and in the corner of bathroom - not reassuring that room was clean. The door to the bathroom didn't close all the way because the door frame was warped. Some very strong fragrance - perhaps room deodorized was so overbearing you could taste it. Dirty knives in the silverware drawer. Front desk didn't ask how the stay was or I might have shared this with them. Very disappointing stay
Location is nice. Right off the highway and close to upscale mall. Need more selections in the longe. Didn't seem to care about upgrading elites.
I loved the pool, hot tub, and sauna. It was so nice and relaxing. I particularly liked that it all stayed open until 11pm, because at so many hotels the hours are hard to use. 6am-11pm gave us plenty of time to take full advantage of the relaxing. The beds were very comfy. The services was nice. We had room service breakfast and the man who brought it was very nice and polite. The front desk helped us a lot by allowing us an extending check out due to a wedding we had to prep for. The fire place and wall of water in the lobby were beautiful. It is a great location. Peacefully situated but also close to a huge mall so you can get all sorts of food and anything you needed. The restaurant and room service in the hotel were very expensive. Luckily there is a mall down the street with much more affordable options. We went the the rain forest cafe and had fun. Other than that I really loved everything. It was a great day and just what we needed.
Everyone I encountered was helpful. After only 2 days staff were saying hello. Having a Starbucks set up in the morning was particularly nice. Dining in the restaurant was fantastic. Food very good. The facility is over priced for the suburbs. The rooms Do not justify the price.
Very nice lobby / restaurant area. Extremely comfortable beds. Inconvenient facilities and amenities in the room. Room had "budget"-grade fixtures and amenities (bathroom / furniture in room). Not pleased with that after paying for a premium hotel.
The cleanliness of the room was amazing. The decor was great. The staff was very friendly. There was nothing I didn't like.
Comfortable and quiet
Liked the room. Breakfast was very nice. Staff very friendly & accomodating. Convenient to hospital and loved the shuttle. Asked for a robe & extra blankets as my husband had surgery the day before & was cold. Staff brought them, but they were both so raggedy & torn that I almost hated using them. Seriously they need to be brought to the local shelter for dogs. Time to replace or don't offer them.
The rooms and facilities were great. The staff was professional and helpful. I've had better breakfasts at economy hotels. The food quality was very disappointing and not up to the standards I expected (given the cost and quality of the facility).
The hotel was quiet, room is big enough and breakfast is actually very good. None, it was the perfect stay!
good quality hotel with excellent services
just a very nice place- everything was wonderful just finding it in the dark, sign by the road would help
The hotel was very good value, convenient to access, the staff was fiorst class and we enjoyed our stay. not applicable
Our room at this property had a serious ventilation problem which they acknowledged but made no effort to mitigate. The heavy odor of cooking bacon woke us each morning at 5am and did not immediately dissipate rather lingered in the room and hallways. The odor was strong and very offensive.
This hotel is so well maintained and spotlessly clean. Even though it's not a 5 star hotel it's large enough that it's well staffed all the time. Even when we had our "do not disturb" sign out in the morning our room was quickly cleaned when we were out in the afternoon. We were in town to visit our son and hotel staff were very helpful in accommodating our 2 young (age 3 & 6) granddaughters when they came to stay with us a couple of nights. Also the hotel was full of HS Soccer teams in town for a tourney and the hotel strictly enforced "quiet hours". I was very pleased with that! Also loved that the coffee maker is a Keurig. They don't furnish many pods and they were not my favorite brand, but there's a grocery very close to the hotel so we bought a box of our favorite brand and also a small carton of half and half and kept it in the fridge. We really liked having a fridge and a microwave in the room. We have special diet needs so we actually made our own breakfast in the room. Was fun to make popcorn for the kiddos and watch a movie with them before bedtime too! The hotel is so close to shopping! Burlington Mall is very nice. The indoor pool is large which is good but the maintenance staff does not understand that it's an INDOOR pool! When maintaining an outdoor pool the wind and sun deplete chemicals, therefore a lesser quantity of chemicals are needed indoors. Some people may believe that more chemicals = safer sanitation, but that's not true. I've been responsible for maintaining a pool and too much is just too much. Even with an outdoor pool if there is too much chlorine in the water you use large fans to lower the concentration (yes- wind, even from fans, removes chemicals from the water). The water was cloudy (it should be clear if chemicals are used appropriately) and also foamy which means too much fungi control chemical was used, which is very unfealthy. I bought goggles to protect my granddaughter's eyes, but they still had an itchy rash from the water, probably from the fungicide which not really needed very often indoors since direct sun is what causes fungi in a pool. An over chlorinated pool is not dangerous to your health, just unpleasant, but when the water is foamy and cloudy, that's very bad. I really wanted to prop all the doors open and set up some fans!
a very short visit, great room!
The shuttle drivers were extraordinarily friendly! Alfred mentioned that we were near Lexington and took me to all of the sights. He and the other drivers definitely helped to make my weekend stay awesome! The room itself was wonderful and very comforting to come home to each night! 5/5 would recommend.
The staff was very nice,we felt very velcome and it was nice to have the scuttle driving os to the mall .
I like the atmosphere and everyone was very nice and it was quite too. I didn't like how small the bathroom was..I felt closed in, also didn't like that my room was next to an elevator.
Friendly staff premises very clean.Especially liked the welcome cookie..Breakfast room staff gave the start of your day a good buzz. Overall very pleasant!! The walk to get to the room, but then it is a big hotel.
1) The business centre. It was very useful for me. 2) Breakfast was decent, but I think the team could be more friendly to a foriegner, by asking if they need anything....it would go a long way 3) I was surprised, that there were no bell boys. This really amazed me, when the front desk girl walked up with me...it was a lovely gesture...and I respect that a lot. 1) Wished there was more to do and see on the property 2) I was expecting a Suite, I did not get an answer when I had booked it and I did not know what it costs, as I wanted to stay in a Suite. 3) I would like more channels on the TV. 4) My booking done through www.booking.com had been in principle ignored. ie, I was first offered 2 separate beds and smoking option, I had to finally settle for smoking option as I wanted a king bed as per what I had booked!!
Really good service. I will stay again.
The stay was great the service was outstanding i will definetly go back
They charged unwanted things for me . And no compline try break breakfast
Comfortable and clean Needs a snack bar in addition to main restaurant . Something for quick bagel, muffin, donut in morning
Clean, well decorated, attractive, and comfortable room. Old tv without hd. Most hotels these days have flat screen hd. But this is not critical. Appreciated the wifi in the room at no charge None really
the staff were both kind and helpful
The building is a leed gold, which means green energy efficient building with great indoor air quality. The hotel staff was very professional and helpful. I would love to stay there again. The pool water was full of salt and chlorine.
It was very different from the standard hotel looks, in that they are very colorful and the organization of the space and room is very unique. Definitely nice to see a hotel that is not the standard fare, especially outside of a major city. The king sized bed was pillow top and felt amazing. They had so many pillows on the bed that we had to move some off to a lounge chair. They gave out (free) bags of ice downstairs in the snack bar area instead of having an ice dispenser on each floor, which was another oddity, but we were ok with that. No complimentary breakfast, but there was an area where they served food if you wanted to order it for 24hrs. They have shampoo and body soap dispensers that are attached to the wall under the shower head. First time we saw that, and not sure if we liked it or not because it can be opened by guests and refilled, but it was better if you use a lot of shampoo and conditioner. They use Bliss products which was nice. Room was very well lit, with two separate overhead reading lights at the bed. Indoor pool was nice since it closed at 11pm. The water was a good temp but theres lots of chlorine in that water though. Overall a clean and neat experience at this hotel. I'd recommend it. Water pressure in the shower could be better. It didn't feel strong enough to wash away all the soap. Hard to get out of the parking lot of the hotel into the main road, as the stop light took about 8 minutes to change to green. Not sure if this may be a city street light issue, but they should probably have a better exit onto a main road. Bathroom could be a bit bigger as the fridge was underneath the bathroom sink.
I had an extremely pleasant stay, and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for an affordable option right outside of Boston that has exceptional customer service. I stayed here on a visit from FL to see my family, and wanted to enjoy the serene environment of Lexington as an escape from the city. Everything was flawless with our stay.
From the time I walked through the door, I was the most important person standing in front of the agent. They made me feel like I had stayed there before. They made sure at everthing was taken care of. None
The bar area, food was good, drinks we're good. The contemporary look was nice, overall great experience. The pool area was very small and extremely hot.
Very clean, modern and the staff was so helpful and sweet. Not a thing.
The room was comfortable and spacious. Fitness center although small contained equipment required to have a good workout, would like to have an additional elliptical machine. There was significant light leaking into the room around the door and windows affecting sleeping conditions. The blue led light on the alarm clock was intense and required I cover it with a towel.
Location and price Sink water just dribbled- had no pressure
The staff was helpful over the phone, trying to help me find my way there when I got lost. They mapquested the directions and read them over the phone to me as I was driving. The shuttle was not working. We were hoping to utilize it to go out for dinner (not knowing our way around), but they said it was broken down. They said they'd try to get another one to help us out, but by the time we needed to leave (we had reservations), they were unable to get one for us.
poor maintenance ...
The front desk staff were really nice. Location was good and the price was right for what we got The place could use a sprucing up. New carpets and a fresh coat of paint would do wonders. Breakfast was just ok nothing special.
Location from Salem Room smelled moldy
The only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast. They provide a wonderful and delicious breakfast. Besides the breakfast everything else is awful! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you're a heavy smoker and enjoy the smell of cigarettes. We were a family with two young children who asked for a non smoking room, the room had non smoking sign but reeked of cigarette smoke! It was absolutely Awful! The smell is so strong that my nostrils burned. And our room wasn't the only one. My mother and sister were also staying here and complained about the same smell. You can't sleep comfortably at all and the front desk only assures you that it's a non smoking room. The outlets are all loose so the phone chargers would constantly fall out, the sink was clogged and filled with water while you brushed your teeth and only drained very slowly when you turned off faucet. The iron was burnt and stained my husbands shirt, never replaced. The handle in the shower is also loose so while taking a bath the knob will slowly move and start showering you in cold water. The entire feel of the room was just gross. We wouldn't even allow our toddler to crawl around. You get what you pay for that's for sure, we only lasted two nights here then checked out early to go to another hotel
Good breakfast and liked the noon check out. Could hear EVERYTHING happening outside, tv was fuzzy to watch, cheaper places to stay in area, didn't have recycling, finding parking close to room was limited and same price online as just showing so no deal.
balcony walks in bad shape
It was cheap and near where we conducted business. The staff was very lazy and the hotel itself is falling apart.
There was a bed to sleep in and I could take a hot shower. The room was falling apart. Lights didn't work correctly, there was water damage and mold and someone had burned holes in the curtains.
This place is pretty run down, and the baseboards in my bathroom could be used for gardening. See above.
easy access to highways they didn't honor the room I reserved/confirmed with credit card. I wanted a 2 bed standard room but they gave me 1 king sized bed room -not even a sleep couch available
Nothing Beds were horrible , the alarm clock went off at midnight and we had no hot water and no bath tub
Facilities were modern and updated. Indoor pool and outdoor pool. The place looks like a castle. The carpet in our room needed to be vacuumed. The pools were both dirty, cloudy and had stuff floating in the outdoor pool. The cleaning staff didn't restock our towels and I had to request some from the front desk. We got they at 10:30pm.
Check in was a breeze. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the towels were very soft, not like most hotels. Every time you took a shower the water would stop running two or three times and it took about a minute for the water to turn back on. On the first morning we called the front desk and they sent up a maintenance man extremely quick. He stated it was probably just air in the pipes, which was a valid explanation, except it happening everyday the four days we stayed there.
Looked great from the outside, like a huge castle. Stayed for 3 nights & never got room service. Went to front desk on 2nd night to ask for towels since we had used all ours & they said that they didn't have any but would send some up which never happened. The next day they said that they were too busy to provide room service because the hotel was full & they were very busy.
The location is great. The staff was slow to respond to requests. They mistakenly gave me the wrong room. Not a big deal. I called the front desk to ask about getting into the right room. It took over an hour to correct.
Upon check in we had dirty tissues on floor, pubic hair in tub, my jacuzzi tub didn't work. Several calls required to get sheets for the crib . management didnt charge for room service to make ip for it. Beds were extremely comfortable. House keeping needs to step it up...should be spotless for the money you're charged.
The checkin & out was seemless & excellent since I was out at 0 dark thirty, Two things; there were only 2 creamers for the coffee pods. C'mon, only 2 creamers and one doesn't usually see this unitl it's time to make the coffee. the 2nd item was a notice that "maintenance" was going to be done on certain floors and guests could expect diminished services. Since I was on one of those floors I would have been terribly annoyed at loss of any services especially when paying for ALL services. Luckily I was out before "diminished services" such as low water pressure etc.. transpired.
Clean and professional; nicely appointed room; breakfast was fine. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good value for the money. No
stuff was helpful,if you missed anything at home (for shaving / shower etc) you can get it at the desk.
It was a very comfortable, relatively inexpensive place to get away for a weekend with the kids. The pool is very nice, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. It is better situated for locations north of Boston than for city visitors, but quite close to the Burlington Mall stores, restaurants, and movies. Certainly quiet and a good value!
When I saw this gorgeous room I called the desk thinking I got a room that cost more than I paid! I had high hopes for a great breakfast, but the food was typical manufactured steam tray food.
I like that it's secluded in a quiet area that you can feel totally relaxed...the rooms were spacious, well decorated and clean, the couch and bed, very comfy, the pool was not deep enough for adults but shallow enough for kids to swim in. I didn't like that the channels didn't have a guide menu to look at so I had to scroll them one by one...shampoo, conditioner and soap were provided but no toothpaste...I also didn't like going back and forth downstairs to the lobby to use the microwave. It would be nice if it was inside the room...Overall, it was a good and relaxing experience. I'd go back definetly
Threadbare towels and sheets. Not the norm for other Courtyard Marriotts. Surprising given it's location in an Office Park.
Comfortable bed and very good breakfast with lots of choice. Swimming poo, was clean but a little small, Hard to find, well outside Billerica
The comfortable room, the great staff and the value. I would consider staying there any time I need to. One elevator was out of service at a very busy time
Friendly staff, recently renovated and clean rooms. Breakfast service personnel could have done better job.
Staff was helpful and made great dining recommendations, complete with printed directions. The location was an easy commute to the venue we were attending in Cambridge. The room was spacious, clean, and decor was pleasant. Would have liked breakfast included.
As you would expect from a Courtyard, all was up to high standards. Enjoyable stay. Lack of free breakfast.
Clean,beautiful room,great beds,friendly staff n/a
It was convenient for where we needed to be; we were able to get a reservation not that far in advance; the rate, although not an amazing bargain, was pretty competitive. Two issues we generally don't have with Marriott: First, we always request non-smoking rooms and floors, but this time there was a definite smell of smoke; if it wasn't from our specific room, it was certainly from the floor we were on. Second, my reservation clearly called for a king bed, but we were given a room with two smaller beds. Since we got there late at night, had to be up and out early in the morning, and just wanted to get to sleep as quickly as possible, we let it go, but this was not our best Courtyard experience. I am saying "yes" to "would you recommend this hotel," but "perhaps" would be a better answer, and I would recommend being very specific about the kind of room you want.
Free Internet access at the room Not to my recollection
They told me I did not have a reservation and it took me 30 minutes to get a room. First they told me they were sold out then they found one.
My wife and I spent our wedding night at Stonehenge in their premium suite, Venice, with a large Jacuzzi tub, fireplace, and spacious seating, in November 2013. We had a wonderful experience with Stonehedge, and superior service, and decided to return there this year for our one year anniversary. It was a quiet Thanksgiving night, but again the service was superb, the room in excellent condition, and this time we were able to better take advantage of the on-site facilities. At the pool, hot tub, and sauna complex at the spa, we were the only patrons, and enjoy the quiet swimming soak. The spa is small, with four rooms, but in the morning my wife had a Vino massage with their masseuse, who is extremely talented, and she had a great experience. At breakfast at the Left Bank restaurant, there were few groups at first the day after Thanksgiving, but arrived in numbers later on. We both had the three egg omelette with home fries and toast: it was delicious, with hearty thick cut applewood bacon, and filling for a high-class restaurant at a reasonable price. We left a good tip. It's definitely a place we would come back to you in the future should we be in the area or wish to reminisce. Just a few minor thing that could be improved: I had a music playlist prepared, but the music dock only excepted the old connectors for iPhones, not the newer. On the whole, as my wife and I discussed it, we found this to be an excellent place for an anniversary, luxurious, quaint, romantic. The king Jacuzzi rooms are extremely comfortable, with Sealy Posturepedic beds and comforters that make for an excellent nights rest. Tyngsboro Massachusetts is not a high octane destination, but for relaxation and a beautiful New England town, it is tops (after all, we were married here near the riverbank). All in all, the service of Stonehedge and staff was very high-quality, from servers to reception to spa stuff. All hoped to provide a good experience for us and their other customers. Thank you, Stonehedge for a memorable anniversary!
The rooms were beautiful and the beds were incredible. The breakfast was excellent as well. I felt very pampered.
Nice breakfast, but heavy on the sugar and carbs. Has workout center and small pool. Billed themselves as providing free airport shuttle & there was none. Suggested I call a cab ($100 ride) instead. Did not provide cleaning service because it was a holiday weekend. Staff utterly unapologetic. did not provide evening happy hours on holidays, either. The most eye-rolling I've ever seen in a hotel staff. They were full of themselves.
loved the breakfast. was pleasantly surprised with the accomodations as some reviews said they were too stark. However, I thought they were very comfortable, lots of perks. Thought the beds, while comfortable, seemed to have valley from use. Also, did not like choice of teas.
staff was nice but....hotel is in kind of an industrial/ office area, no atmosphere. Virtually no English speakers there. There was shady activity in the back parking lot that woke me up at 1am. I stayed by myself. I would not bring my family here. Breakfast bar closed too early
This must have been the best hotel I've ever been to, and I've been to alot of hotels. Rooms were beautiful and service couldn't have been better. Excellent hotel, I would recommend and definetly stay there again
We stayed at this hotel for two days prior to going to Cape Cod, in order to visit with family in the area. We were pleasantly greeted with freshly baked cookies and a very friendly and helpful staff! The first room we were assigned had a problem with the toilet. We were moved immediately into another room. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfy and the thermostat allowed us to control our environment to our liking! The breakfast was yummy and a great start for our busy day! The restaurants aren't too far and there are many to choose from. There is a wonderful little Mediteranean restaurant off of 111 and Zachary road, called Flaming Kabob, which was worth going back several times. La Quinta, Thanks for a great stay!
La Quinta was a very reasonable place to stay, without compromising quality for the value.
Good price and clean. Safe neighborhood. Quiet with no outside traffic noise. Quite adequate for an overnight stop.
I just stayed one night, basically using it just as a place to sleep. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I liked the extra pillows. I didn't get to test the internet though. The day I was there must been a busy time, as it was near impossible to get into the small breakfest area to get something to eat. Im sure the included breakfest would have been ok if there isn't a mob of people there. I basically grabbed a muffin and made a run for the door.
This hotel is spotlessly clean! The staff was friendly and helpful! The breakfast was delicious and healthy; fresh waffles, yogurt, healthy cereal choices and hard boiled eggs! I came here to be close to my son who was in the hospital in Newton. Since I flew into Manchester I took a online travel website package that included this hotel and planned to change hotels after the first night. However, I loved this hotel so much that I stayed for the entire time. Driving the 45 minutes to the hospital each day was no problem when I knew I'd be coming g back to this ''home''
I enjoyed the stay, nice people and great service. Breakfast buffet was GREAT and room clean.
When choosing a hotel, the expectations tend to drift downward with the price. The things I expect to sacrifice first are cleanliness, comfort and service. Not here. Mostly I just want a clean comfortable place to get a good night's rest. La Quinta delivered beautifully. I even found the bed to be exceptionally comfortable, comparable with rooms I've taken in much more expensive establishments. The breakfast was decent -- although I don't recommend the waffles. If you just want a quick no-frills bite to get running on it should do very well with cereal, milk, juice, toast, boiled eggs, coffee, etc. I expect to stay there again a few months from now. Good deal.
Excellent hotel, clean, nicely decorated and free continental breakfast. Unlimited coffee all day.
Pool to far away from main building. No ice machine on each floor..........
I am very satisfied with my two day stay. When I first arrived I was given a room that seemed to have a heating problem. I was immediately moved across the hall to another room that ended up being an upgrade. Absolutely no bad attitudes with the staff and the continental breakfast was generous.
Breakfast,Free Internet Access,Big room, very clean. Noisy in corner room first floor (Few meters from road junction).Poor TV programs assortment.
The breakfast was great The bed was comfortable The room was clean The staff were friendly N/A
Clean, comfortable, friendly and pet friendly. One of the best Hampton Inns we have stayed at
The location was great, not far from shopping. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The price was reasonable. No complaints, this is a great place to stay.
