Pros: Lovely, welcoming owners. Comfy bed, good choice of breakfast, beautiful house. Excellent location to explore the coast either side of Mundesley.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was stunning, a beautiful house with history and character and stunning grounds.. The hosts, John and Irene were attentive and warm. Their attention to detail was impeccable. Right from coffee and cake on arrival to extensive knowledge of the property’s history and local sights. Being a same sex couple, we’re always a little nervous of how we will be received however we were treated with warmth and respect the same as all other guests which was a delight. Our room was large, luxurious and cosy, and beautifully clean. The bed was dreamy and comfortable and I actually slept over 10 hours one night!! The breakfast we had each morning was delicious (we can recommend the amazing poached eggs and the full English!). John and Irene have been at The Durdans for almost three years and have created something very special in a gem of a Norfolk coastal village. Whilst we’d like to keep it to ourselves, we feel it’s too good to keep hidden, The Durdans is a great location for discovering the North Norfolk Coast, quiet and lovely for relaxing and surrounded by gorgeous views and top notch hospitality. Keep it up John and Irene, we’ll be back in the summer :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are terrific, great welcome, very friendly and always happy to help. The room, while small (it was a single room) was very comfortable and I had great stay. Thank you, I'll definitely be back!
Cons: Only the size of the single room, but that's not really something they can do anything about...I know, from previous stays, that the double rooms are more than adequate.

Pros: Awesome staff and very quaint and classic hotel. Outstanding comfy room and a stand alone bath my daughter says “just like the queen”
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very polite and extremely helpful.
Cons: We only had a small double room because that was the only one available. It was extremely small especially as I have to use special breathing equipment which is quite bulky and emits a lot of heat. This made our room extremely hot.

A traditonal welcome at the bar whilst choosing the menus. Superb room shower and traditional enammeled cast iron bath.Very comfortable bed with turn down service.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing about this hotel ticked the boxes. Location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, breakfast, meals. Etc.

Pros: Bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Excellent hosts as well.
Cons: Our only issue was the light on the ceiling which was permanently on and was quite bright. We only found out in the morning it was the fire alarm light. We were told that there were eye masks in the bedroom but we weren't aware of that.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent, staff were friendly, Beer was good. Overall a fantastic place to stay.
Cons: A little bright in the room due to the outside lighting.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Just what we wanted, a king size bed that we didn't want to get out of! Very comfortable, perfect for catching up on sleep. Nicely appointed bedroom & shower room with good water pressure and good quality towels and bedding; all clean. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers - ideal for a couple of nights' stay. Plenty of tea, coffee etc. Large tv and strong wifi connection. The staff were attentive and polite, and the food at dinner was excellent. Encouraging to find that staff are flexible enough to let guests eat in the bar room or the restaurant - the latter is a perfect for a romantic meal or catch up with pals - comfy chairs and well appointed enough to feel special without being overbearing.
Cons: There was a bright green light in the bedroom ceiling - smoke alarm? - which might keep some delicate sleepers awake -- but the room comes with eyeshades: thoughtful! Be aware that the three of the rooms back on to the pub's garden so on summer evenings it may not be very private. Ideal access to the bar, though!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amanda is a perfect host. It was pouring down with rain when we arrived. After showing me our room her next question was would you like a pot of tea. When we came down to get our luggage out of the car a pot of tea and 2 cups were waiting for us. We were attending a wedding 10 mins drive away and as requested Amanda had booked a taxi to take us there and back. Our double room was small but had enough room to have everything you need. It was spotlessly clean, and had little extras like air freshener in the bathroom. Breakfast was great, perfectly cooked and a great selection. Cooked food was ordered the night before. All in all a little diamond of a B&B.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Served on hot plates so extra points for that. Situated in a rural location but not far from Norwich centre and a reasonable bus timetable was a bonus. I usually have a not too good a sleep because strange mattresses and my back do not agree but found the mattress here comfortable. Amanda the host gave useful information about the area and as a result I was able to see grey seals on the beach at very close quarters. Would recommend Moorsticks to anyone.

Pros: Lovely quiet spot with a country feel. Great location to visit Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Cromer. Very clean and serviced daily. Room a good size. Plenty of parking. Great friendly ladies who served a beautiful breakfast. Bed was a bit hard the first night but we did get used to it the second night. Great to have two chairs to sit in to watch TV. Was great to have a fridge and microwave as shops are not close.
Cons: The rooms are not sound proof. We were on the ground floor and could hear people in the bathroom next door and the room above sounded like a herd of elephants had been let loose before midnight and then again at 3.30am. The floor squeaks above also. Could hear snoring from the room above also.

6.7 Good
Pros: Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is good and the rooms are comfortable (if they have air conditioning).
Cons: There were a few issues. Not all of the rooms have air conditioning so make sure you check before booking a room. Breakfast does not start before 7.30am but the hotel offer to bring breakfast to your room if you need to be off early. We had two rooms and breakfast to one of the rooms was 15 minutes late, when it arrived the toast was burned and the hot drink was in a takeaway cup that disintegrated pouring hot drink all over my husbands laptop. The refrigerator in the room did not work because it was over heating due to being in a cupboard under the sink with no ventilation.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wow what can I say. So friendly helpful and understanding. We had a problem long story. We had to let my daughter stay with us for the night. Me and my wife shared a single bed and my daughter the other. We told the owners the next morning and they understood saying it's fine. They even offered her a full English breakfast for free. You cant get better people than that. We will be staying there again. Thank you sean
Cons: The only thing we can think of is that it is shared bathroom with one other guest room. Not really problem for me. That's about it. ..
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect and good breakfast, friendly owner.
Cons: Was under the impression that only myself and son in adjacent room had access to the shared shower, it became apparent that at least one other room had access. I thought we had the only two rooms with no en suite facilities. Bit misleading.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was perfect!
Cons: The bottle of prosecco I'd arranged to be in the room for our arrival wasn't provided. It was meant as a surprise for my husband's 50th Birthday, so disappointed it wasn't there, but they have apologised.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome staff and very quaint and classic hotel. Outstanding comfy room and a stand alone bath my daughter says “just like the queen”
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very polite and extremely helpful.
Cons: We only had a small double room because that was the only one available. It was extremely small especially as I have to use special breathing equipment which is quite bulky and emits a lot of heat. This made our room extremely hot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the hotel, staff, food and everything was exceptional. fantastic hotel, wonderful time.
Cons: It's very hard to think of everything was superb
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old hotel, beautifully decorated with understated art deco theme.Traditional old fashioned service.Food fairly ambitious and on the whole very good. Some dishes excellent, especially when using local fish.Seared scallop starter superb, fresh smoked haddock and poached egg breakfast the same. A traditonal welcome at the bar whilst choosing the menus. Superb room shower and traditional enammeled cast iron bath.Very comfortable bed with turn down service.
Cons: Could improve if the staff throttled back the enthusiasm by 15% ! Hard to get any peace during dinner. A minor observation, and not easy to achieve.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: First class hotel, all staff try to make your stay a good one, and nothing is to much trouble, lovely art deco public areas with very nice dining room, clean comfortable, spacious bathrooms. Restaurant very good and a bar with pre dinner drinks and canapes, best hotel we have used in Norfolk.
Cons: Not much to complain about here, dinner was a bit rushed a couple of times with courses following on immediately after one another, but that was all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing about this hotel ticked the boxes. Location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, breakfast, meals. Etc.
Cons: The main menu could do with a better choice like more grill choices and a fish and chips. Mind you they did cook me to my request as there wasn't much choice in the menu to my taste.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent The style was beautiful in the building and staff very charming.
Cons: The room was a little small.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is steeped in history ie. Agatha Christie stayed there as she was great friends with the owners back in the day.
Cons: It’s off a very busy main road but it gets quiet after midnight.
