Alpenhof has a very nice staff and wonderful food. Much of their food is raised on their farm and homemade. It is out of the city and still accessible and it is very centrally located so that many points of interest are within a couple of hours. We went to Bolzano in the south Tyrol on one day. We went to Neuschwanstein Castle on another day. We went to Andechs Monastery on another day and the Castle at Kufstein in within about 10 kilometers of the hotel in Oberaudorf.
