I just slept there because I had an early flight from Sanford airport. Only about a 15 minute drive. The staff was nice and the room was clean Also got a good nights sleep on the bed. I would stay here again
The staff was awesome..very friendly and helpful. Great location (visiting family in Deltona and old haunts in DeLand as well as Universal). Plenty of nearby eating establishments. Comfortable rooms as is the standard in any HIE. The room temperature was difficult to adjust to sleeping comfort and the AC fan was a bit loud. The pool is placed along a predominantly shady side of the hotel, so the water was very cold. The Jacuzzi temp was a bit hot. All in all I would overlook these things and stay here again.
A great value for the money. No complaints...very happy.
I love how close the hotel is to the interstate and also the fact there are many restaurants located nearby.
I liked the closeness to Blue Springs State Park, the affordable price, and cleanliness. It had a small refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave, and decent selections of basic cable and local channels. It was near big box stores and other restaurants within driving distance. I wish it had a pool and jacuzzi but that would seem to ask for too much for the price. It was not a luxury place but it was cozy for a night or two.
fast, friendly, clean and comfortable. amusing that the complimentary shampoo bottle left was empty.
The bed was very comfortable.
Beds were comfortable. Front desk staff very helpful. Pool was freezing even though it was "supposed" to be heated. Nothing for kids to do...Don't choose if you are traveling with kids.
Very clean and quiet hotel. Great location to the highway and plenty of food nearby.
It was fantastic. Great staff. great price...$90/night (AMAZING FOR A 4/5 STAR HOTEL) Just all around great
Nice hotel near a location we wanted to stay
The Shula 347 Steakhouse Nothing
Loved the pool @ Shula's No complaints
We had an early morning flight so the location was convenient to get to airport quickly. Only minus was the hot tub didn't work. They rest of the hotel was great!
very clean very green had great conversations around the pool with other guests on site steak house was nice but not cheap We would stay there again ac wouldn't go as low as needed, we like it freezing black out shades are not totaly blacked out so we got sunshine in the morning
The motel was in close proximity to the Orlando/Sanford airport The hotel was not clean. The room was extremely musty to the point that it smelled as if there was mold in the room. The refrigerator made such a loud noise that I had to unplug it in the middle of the night. It was a difficult place to get a good night's rest. If you are choosing to stay at the Best Western for the convenience of travel to the airport, it would be better to travel a few extra miles for a better hotel.
The Breakfast is not good enough. To much sweet.
Nice quiet room, safe surroundings Could have had more of a selection of restaurants nearby that delivered - my choices were Chinese or Italian
Very comfortable bed and pillows A sheet is not warm enough but the comforter is too warm, need a light blanket to geta good nights sleep, we didn't
Fabulous staff, great breakfast and clean nothing - happy all the way around
Updated rooms and facilities. Friendly staff. Purpose of staying was for the extended parking when flying out of Sanford airport and the entire parking lot was full. So the only reason we stayed at the hotel was for cheaper parking for our trip. We needlessly stayed overnight at the hotel then ended up having to park at the airport anyway. Be aware the parking is apparently first come, first serve and the parking lot is extremely small.
Convenient location to the Sanford Airport.
Had no car so was gonna walk to the Wing House and when asked the front desk how far she told me and then offered me buy one get free coupons.
Room was nice and clean. It was also big with a good size bathroom. There could have been more breakfast options. The staff could refill the empty breakfast trays. Had to wait 15 min for it to be refilled
Postal museum none
Esentially a low-income housing property. Non-smoking hotel...not! Intetesting, historical hotel, but its better days are in the past.
I liked the picture I saw on the internet. Until I arrived. This place looks like it is very rarely cleaned. When I checked out the room it had holes in the wall that were patched but not painted. The window blinds were destroyed, the pillow case looked like it had an ash tray spIlled on it and the hallway rugs looked like they had not been vacuumed in a month. Needless to say we did a u-turn and got a room elsewhere.
Rooms were clean and operational. Close to Interstate 4, traffic noise was there though not overly bothersome. Breakfast was ordinary - I overdid on waffles because they were the only attractive choice. Few nearby choices for lunch and dinner.
The size of the room is large and clean. I didn't like the fact that there was no refrigerator and microwave.
It's located right next to he water so you can look out into the water every night. It's walking distance from the old downtown area which is made up of small store fronts, family restaurants, and even a small market that sets up on the weekend. Also just a few minutes from the zoo. The staff is extremely friendly and went to every length to ensure that we were happy and taken care of. There's a delicious seafood restaurant at the end of the hotel where you can sit outside to eat by the water front. And if you like water pressure, the showers are amazing. Also there's washers/dryer on site and available 24/7 The beds were a little hard, but tolerable. It's a lock and key door so you only have one key. The room could have used a paint job but otherwise was fantastic.
Loved the location! Being on the lake was great! Awesome sunsets! Great location to their downtown with restaurants and shopping. The whole place needs a gut job and remodeled, from the inside out. Before you book, if you can make sure you look at your room first. Their "lake view" rooms can sometimes be when your standing at the window to look. We paid $10 more a night for direct view and the view was great! The room itself was tolerable. They didn't have HD cable coming through to the tv even though the tv was HD, the picture was small and we had the sound all the way up and it wasn't loud. They had extension cord hanging so they could have the tv and the lamp and coffee maker all plugged in. The bathroom smelled like Body odor. But the bed was comfortable. So if it wasn't for the location, we would never stay there again. They need a serious upgrade. It could be an awesome place if they did a complete remodel. The area is great!
The hotel staff when checking in were very professional. When entering our room, 204, we were dissappointed. It was not up to date and everything was worn. There were bugs smashed on the walls and things were just not clean. There were bugs on the sheets when we took the bedspread back, we had to brush them off to sleep. There were not enough security lights nor any kind of security on the premises after midnight. We had to leave the hotel at 4:45 AM and we were very causious to our surroundings because it was darker than other hotels in the parking lot. The surroundings of this hotel was beautiful, however, the rooms were so uncomfortable, dirty, buggie, and not a secure area I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Nothing. It was filthy and very uncomfortable.
This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. There we tons of bugs inside the front window. The windows hadn't been washed in I don't know how long. The sink was gross and dirty. The sheets didn't appear to be very clean, at least ours were stained.
Being able to relax at the pool or beach and just enjoy the quiet!
Location was pretty The air conditioning unit was not adequate for the room and it did not work well. It was a pretty warm evening.
Convenient location relative to downtown Very basic amenities.
Nothing at all except the staff was very friendly! The entire hotel. Dirty, old, unkept, roaches, smelled, rusted, mold, the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed at in my life! I will never return again. The owners have out no money in upkeep what so ever!
Beautiful location, building well-maintained, clean Facilities in need of upgrades, doesn't do premium location justice
It was close to the airport and a good restaurant. It was a worn out place that looked neglected. The front door stuck, there was water leaking from the Air Conditioner, etc.
Very accommodating for a teen, on her own, stuck in Orlando at the wrong airport. Treated her like a queen. She spent two nights at Disney and was exoecting a cheap motel. It was everything but. Says she would love to go back. Thst says a lot. Everything was fantastic
Everything was fine can't complain
I was in town exhibiting for an art show, and was a bit apprehensive about reserving here after reading some of the reviews, but I'm glad I stayed here. My room was clean, decent value for the money, safe area, close to a lot of city amenities, nice staff. For those wanting a 5-star luxury hotel, this is not it, but for those wanting a decent place to sleep&shower, it works well. I found the continental breakfast to be nice and the coffee good. The pool had lots of bugs in it so I couldn't swim. It's an older motel, so there are not enough electrical outlets.
shower head moldy no cookies at night and poor excuse for not having them
Staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. Mattress could be more comfortable -- a bit to firm for me.
Best hotel ever, staff was fantastic. Very clean, great room, perfect location. Nothing.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Nice staff. Hot breakfast, coffee and teas were great. Coffee maker in the bathroom. Gross and extremely unsanitary. Would never touch it.
This place was super clean and the room was way more than I expected for the price. We had a big living room/kitchen area with a pull out couch and flat-screen TV and a private bedroom also with a flat screen. The pool was cute and clean but sort of small and cold. The free breakfast wa exceptional for the price. Location was perfect for us because we wanted something close to Sanford airport and the shuttle was free. They also were very understanding about our late checkout. Overall, I was very happy with our stay! Pool was too cold. By summer though water should be warmer.
I was overcharged and now waiting for refund. However, I was assured I will be refunded within 3 business days. Billing practices.
too far from the orlando downtown
Value. Nice room.clean. desk staff pleasant and helpful . Pool towels. No carts available. Breakfast was hard and cold at starting service time. No dishes or utensils in kitchenette.
The location was good. We only had to travel 10 minutes to the airport. THe suites were small and they could also use an additional TV in each suite.
The smell when you first walk in
The hotel is conveniently located just off the highway exit. The room stunk! It smelled like an old, dingy basement with musty furniture and carpets. When I got home everything I owned (including my suitcase itself!) had to be washed, as it still smelled like mildew. The carpet was dirty with suspicious white stains, the bedspread and sheets also had stains. The tub was so old and someone tried to repaint it, to no avail. It's not worth it to stay here. Even if you're budget conscious, spend a bit more for the other hotels in the area.
It was clean. We were only there for one night so it did fine, wouldn't stay for a long period. Not close to anything, its probably closer to a one store, then walls could her neighbors, funny smell in the room. It was clean. Both front desk personnel we encountered were extremely responsive and very helpful. This was tremendously important for my wife and I.
Falling apart old hotel
We like the clean rooms. No
It was close to the airport in Sanford, very convenient for an early flight
The staff was great, they helped us with directions more than once. The rooms were clean. The pool was nice. They had a microwave and fridge which we didn't expect for the price. They do need better towels but they were very nice and brought us extra ones. I would stay there again. We got our moneys worth. Thanks. Maybe you might leave more towels in the rooms since they are so thin.
Cheap and close to airport Front desk clerk (English accent) was awesome...checked us in early and said we would have a wake up call and a taxi called..we stayed here because it was 10 min from airport and we had a 6:20 flight. He also said coffee would be ready for us at 4:20 cause that's when our cab would be there. We set our alarm for 3:30 and our wake up call was at 3:40. No wake up call came. I called at 4 and he said our cab was called. We went at 4:10 to get coffee and the night desk guy would not let us in. We had to wait in front of the hotel with our 6 month old baby. Cab never came. At 4:30 8 went to try and ask the desk guy about the cab and he wasn't around. He finally came at 3:40 and got him to call the cab comany and they said he was never called. So no wake up call, no coffee or no cab call. The whole night there were people all around with music blaring and people walking past our door talking loud. Overall, cheap place to stay by dont rely on them for anything.
Room was in good repair, location was great easy to find airport. Staff was pleseant and helpful. Room was clean. Couldn't be nicer even though I was only there 1 day. I was a solo traveler. I would recommend this place.
Great location from the airport and local shopping and restaurants Could use a hair dryer and a coffee maker in the room
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I missed a continental breakfast
Price and location to airport. Old and big crack around door.
The hotel was in a great location and inexpensive. My room was clean, roomy, and smelled fresh... loved the bathtub. I reserved a king bed but when I arrived, I was placed in a room with 2 queen beds. I called the front desk and was informed that the hotel was just renovated and doesn't have king beds anymore. Staff was nice and apologetic but it would have been nice to know in advance. Also, my room was right next to the ice machine which was loud. I heard it drop ice all night.
Easy check out... Disappointed in it. We were looking forward to the jacuzzi and it had to be the dirtiest one I have ever seen. After just having stayed at the Best Western in Lake Buena Vista we figured the Hilton would be even nicer. Not this one...and we were stuck on the bottom floor.
Loved it! Thx for a great experience!
Very, very difficult to find expecially at night.
Rooms & grounds were clean & beautiful!!! Pool & fitness center are well-maintained! I highly recommend this hotel!!
The location was good and near the airport The room was not comfortable and it's really in need of upgrading. There was rust inside the shower area and beds were really uncomfortable
Hot breakfast every morning and dinner (with wine and beer) on weekdays were a plus.
Friendly, helpful staff. Room well organized for business travel.
Dirty floors, ants had to move to another room and it wasn't any better
Staff were really personable and nice. Room 311 was above the pool and some little girls decided to swim and yell after 10 p.m. until about midnight. I just don't think they or their parents realized there were rooms that might be disturbed.
Customer service and cleanliness. I liked everything.
The hotel was a little hard to find because it is off the main roads however that is also part of the appeal. Their was hair left in the shower but other than that the room appeared clean. I'm cleaned shaved and the hair was a foot long or so.
Friendly staff and balanced meal options. The cleanliness of the room could have been better.
Not well maintained. Mirrored door of closet had cracks on bottom half of door, door knob to bedroom hanging off, ceiling fan had black dust on blades heavy and rugs in hallways filthy. Reservation for handicap accessible and room given was not.
The staff was very great!
Hotel in general was VERY clean. It was very quiet even though it was busy. I was surprised that breakfast and dinner was free and enjoyable. Fitted sheet didn't fit mattress and kept slipping off. Nothing too serious.
location near airport. nice room. good food and excellent staff. did not know that I could not receive points on my membership card because I reserved my room on line. is there any way to receive the points?
the room was a nice size and clean and had a door separating bedroom from the rest of the suite lobby was under remodel but the staff worked hard to make it manageable
Great staff. Very cordial and responsive. They were apparently understaffed for the conference I was attending. Very difficult to get a drink and bar food as only one person was working a very full bar. The breakfast room service came 30 minutes late and was not hot, server said there were "too many orders." Since many people left there orders on the door the night before, they could have anticipated this. When I alerted the manager, my breakfast was reversed.
Cassadaga is the main attraction because there isn't much else around. The place has a very nice old Florida feeling. There aren't many amenities, but our room was clean and nicely furnished. The big veranda is a great place to hang out and people watch and the restaurant is very nice about letting you bring drinks and food out. Had some trouble with the hot water during peak times.
