What are the pros of staying at Hotel Naniwa Shimanouchi?
The hotel staff are really great! The hotel room is spacious, can definitely fit many luggages. The location is great close to Dotonbori. Was pretty cheap. Close to main attractions. Family room which is our main reason for making this booking. The location is walking distance to Shinshaibashi shopping street.
What are the cons of staying at Hotel Naniwa Shimanouchi?
Older hotel but new that when we booked. Needs a deep clean and some maintenance. So much dust in bathroom vents. Room was cold and blankets insufficient. Must be running on paper thin margins. Dirty and not suitable for traveling with kids. Thin walls. The air conditioning unit is broken. It was so hot. Woman personnel assigned at night was rude. Glad it had a small smoking room but never cleaned. I cannot get a Toliet tissue from an evening staff with an unpleasant feedback. Typical business hotel with fresh towels daily but no bed linen change Overall for me it’s fine and I’d go back! There is a hazard in the hallway. The white thing in the carpet in the entance going to our room from the elevator. My auntie stumbled down. And me almost to stumble. There were mosquitos in the room. Not much natural light, bit who cares if I just get there only to sleep. The room's floor mat was too small. Dusty. Not so warm, not so hot water to take a bath. The only thing i didn't like was the walls were thin that if the neighbors spoke loud enough, you can hear their conversations clearly. Microwave in our floor is not working. Dark hallways. The facility needs a bit of updating and upkeep. The room looked like an after thought room furniture didn't match the bed was not comfortable towels were rough like sandpaper. The toilet was bit smelly though its clean. extension wires were visible. lots of dirt and belongings of previous guests under the bed, as if it is not being cleaned every after booking. the comforter had a blood stain. very old interior. no slippers given in the room. no cotton buds. no signage to put on the knob for room cleaning.
