Pros: Pension Iara located in a beautiful spot at the Apuseni national park, surrounded by the small pastoral villages of the area. We are highly recommend this place for his location, cleane and cosy rooms, delicious food in the morning and also at dinner. And for the most impressive and pleasant part: the kindness stuff which gave us a homey feeling for 5 days.

Pros: Great place with remote location - centre of Apuseni Natural Park. Perfect place for hiking. Room was very clean with pretty new bathroom. It was very warm and cosy. Hosts were amazing! Easy going, friendly and nice people. I recommend food served in this place.

Pros: We had 2 big bedrooms for us 4. And a huge terrace. Also the garden was very cosy with confortable rocking chairs. Beds were a bit hard, but that is personal feeling.
Cons: I booked this place especially for the restaurant next door. Now it seems that the restaurant is a hotel and you can only eat there when you are a guest We had to drive 30 min (single) to find a restaurant .... 3x a day. A waste of time...

Pros: We loved the hospitalty. The most welcoming hosts we ran into. Helpful and nice, planned with us the rest of our trip since turist information is no help in this area :). Everything was clean and comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed and more (such as homemade jam). We booked 2 nights and it was a great place to come back to after a long day of hiking.

Pros: Great location on a top of a hill. Very good breakfast and dinner. Close to some great mountain trails and a couple of very cool caves. Very enjoyable car ride near the Scărișoara Cave.
Cons: It has nothing to do with the accomodation, but once you get off the paved road for the last 2,5 km before the destination, the road is rough with many holes, especially after a rain. Drive carefully! Furthermore, the phone reception is bad.

Pros: If you are asked if you want to have dinner in the guesthouse: My advice is a clear YES. The dinner was really the highlight of our stay. It is not like a restaurant with a menu to chose from. You eat what she serves - Home-cooked Romanian food, prepared freshly in the afternoon. Delicious, something of the best I ate in Romania. All guests sit on a long table and enjoy a three course dinner. Price is more than fair.

Pros: The hosts are very friendly and provide valuable information regarding things to do/places to see. The room was spatious for 3 persons and everything was clean. There is a big garden where we could park our car without any issues. The river Aries flows through the garden. The hosts can upon request - one day in advance cook for you. We tasted some doughnuts offered as gifts to us which were delicious.
Cons: There is nothing major not to like. For people on Holliday I would clearly recommend this guesthouse. Still, for some who has to do some work with internet connection/ wifi- please be advised that it has room for improvement - or this was my particular case.

Cons: We were alone in the building so we understand they did not turn the central heating on, but we were really cold. The parking was behind the gate really close to the road but the gate was not locked overnight. There were stray dogs on the garden (as there were holes in the fence) and bothered us when we tried to pack and leave and nobody cared.

Pros: Good location and very kind hosts, helped us whenever we needed. They've helped us with the barbecue, they gave us information about nearby attractions. Rooms were small, but clean and comfy, although the bathroom had a small shower, not quite good for tall people, it was clean. Overall, the quality-price ratio is very good, it's definitely a place where we'll stay if we end up going in another vacation in Gârda de Sus.

Pros: Location of the accommodation is very good as it is close to all the caves around. Also, although the house is very close to the road, there was very little noise which was good! The freshness of the air was really nice and clean! Another positive note was the breakfast: although small in variety, what the female host gave us, it was good and fresh. The lady even said that the butter and cheese were made by them, and the taste attested to it. In case you want dinner, you need to call in advance. Unfortunately, we didn't know this, but the landlady directed us to another pension which also had restaurant, so we were able to dine there.
Cons: We had 3 rooms and were actually the only guests, and unfortunately, the heater and warm water weren't really working in 2 rooms, which considering the fact that it was middle October, it was a little bit too cold. Another minus is the fact that although there is a kitchen, you cannot cook in it. We stayed only 1 night but in case for more nights and in case you bring children, it might be an inconvenient.

Pros: Excellent location (went to ski), spacious room/bathroom, very clean, good food, knowledgeable great hosts! Slopes to ski are great, several shops and places to eat, renting booths and there is a ski school as well with excellent instructors (they speak English)! There was a lot of snow and the roads are very well maintained! I was impressed!

Cons: There are several things that can be improved: - the road to the pension is horrible almost impassable, you can easily broke your car - breakfast is poor with products of bad quality; - they have only one type of dish for dinner, also the dinner portions are really small - garbage is not collected daily from the bathroom

Pros: The owners are really kind and helpful, what they do for their guests' comfort is by far above the average level of hospitality. It's not a five-star luxury hotel, but Lucian and his wife are always there and whatever you need, they always help you! Good rooms, good wi-fi, cold beer, home-made afinata, tasty food, we simply love this place - and by the way, the landside is beautiful!

Pros: The location of the facility is in the center of the village/resort, with quick access to the hiking routes and 2-3 minutes walk to the ski slopes. The staff, including the owners are very friendly, with good tips regarding hiking paths, what to visit in the area (caves, waterfalls etc.) and where to serve a good lunch. I recommend taking the half board (Breakfast and Dinner) because in the hole resort you will not find many places to eat (at least in the summer you will find only one place that have a la carte menu); breakfast is Continental and for dinner you will serve traditional romanian food with a good dessert (also traditional).

Cons: The area and village overall was overbuilt and had nothing to do with the traditional country side type of place it should have been. The road to the B&B was terrible and we were disappointed in the outside seating area (no garden or green space whatsoever).

Pros: We stayed here last year too and it was great. This time we had the change to taste some of the dishes made by our host which were simply incredible. Simple food but outstanding taste. Everything we ate was fresh and tasty. The host took the time to delight us with some local dishes too.

Pros: The facility exceeded the expectations! It was amazing: clean, spacious, comfortable! It was a little bit hard to believe to find such fantastic accommodation in the middle of a little village and a huge natural park! Truly precious and unforgettable as the entire area so untouched by tourism!

Pros: The apartment was great. Even if we have arrived late we could easily check in. The breakfast was very good and beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. So it is a perfect place to have some nights close to Padis.
Cons: Well... Maybe 2 things. There is a small shop in the apartment and people were smoking around it. It was not embarrassing for our stay but if someone step into the apartment it is not a good first experience. The other one is something what the apartment can not and could not control: there was no power for some hours in the morning...

A common TV lounge, a fully equipped kitchen and barbecue facilities are at guests’ disposal. All rooms at Ada 2 Cabana come with wooden floor, cable TV and a private bathroom with shower. Free toiletries are also available in each. The closest restaurant is a 3-minute walk away. A bus stop and various shops can be found within a radious of 100 metres from the Ada 2. Free Wi-Fi access is provided across the premises. Scarisoara Glacier is reachable by car in about 20 minutes. Other local points of interest include Groapa ruginoasa Natural Phenomenon (2 km), Varciog Waterfall (5 km) and Casa de Piatra Cave (18 km).

Cons: I booked the room with 2 single beds and I got with a double and free from only one side. The mat was very unconfortable on it. It descend to the middle. I cant sleep. Noisy in the morning because of the road and a construction next to the house. Steep stairs. It was OK for us, but hard to go upstairs if you have problems to move.

Cons: We made a reservation for a room with view and balcony/terace and we got a room without balcony and with view to the parking. We ate the breakfast and than, me and my husband got an indigestion. It was the last day of our vacation. The contact with reception was bad, i had the feeling that we were disturbing them.

Pros: The room and the reception and serving staff.
Cons: Initially they canceled the reservation but the owner interfered and he solved the problem. The food was poor, both a la carte and the breakfast. In the day of our arrival we ate at the restaurant but the fish and the polenta were not properly cooked. Although the staff proposed to bring us another portion, the cook come angry from the kitchen and screamed to us in front of the other customers. Very bad experience and for the rest of our stay we didn’t ate there.

Breakfast was cooked to order, very nice. Room comfy and clean. Only a 2min walk up the road to the town with a couple of choices for dinner. Easy to find hotel as on the main highway, sat back off the road and was quiet.

Pros: Very good value for money. The staff was brilliant, and the location was close to my place I went next day.
Cons: There was no heating in the room, I tried to warm up the cold walls with the air-condition. It worked, but was unable to compensate the cold walls...

Pros: If you plan trekking in the Apuseni the hotel is quite far and you'd be better off with some cabana in the mountains. On the other hand, it allows you to access various parts by car much quicker then always starting on a gravel road in the middle of the mountains. Good breakfast and restaurant.
Cons: Lots of mosquitoes in the room in spite of the nets in the windows. The location on the map on booking.com is not correct. Search on google maps, it's right next to the JRB petrol station between Stei and Lunca.

Pros: Quiet surroundings, comfy beds, nice views, pretty garden (worth coming in the summer), the sound of mountain stream, etc.
Cons: The log stairs are uneven and a bit too high, I found it scary going down the stairs holding my baby. Also and for the same reason, they need to clear the ice in front of the entry way. The wall plaster is dangerously rough.

Cons: The toilet seat was moving. The bed was not so confortable. Road from the the main road was a bit difficult due to winter conditions.

Pros: Wonderfull, beautifull place surrounded by mountains. So, so Nice and helpfull owners! Beautifull garden with facillities for kids - playground:) location next to the hiking trails, shop and restaurants. Really great place:)

Pros: The owners are amazing, helpful and friendly and gave us all the information we needed. The location is wonderful, in a very picturesque valley. The ambiance is great, a very cozy and nature-connected place.
