10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delightful staff drinks on arrival. Comfy beds clean sheets nice rooms around a garden courtyard. Nothing too much trouble. Slightly out of town but a free shuttle offered 7 til 915
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 5 nights. Staff were wonderful. Comfortable and clean hotel with nice pool. The location to us seemed to be an advantage as it was near to the main market and the Friendship Mall, plus shops. Enough restaurants nearby. Just easy all round.
Cons: I suppose a little more choice on the cooked breakfast and cereals for the kids. No big deal, it worked.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff is super helpful and nice. Very clean and comparable rooms Good breakfast Free shuttle to center
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was good and clean. Nice pool and breakfast. Very friendly staff. Not far from the centre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was fabulous gorgeous setting wonderful food staff can't do enough for you
Cons: One tiny criticism the chairs on the balcony are iron and not comfy to sit on needs cushions
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean and the rooms and facilities were great. But the real reason why I would come back, is the staff. When a tour company I booked outside the hotel cancelled my transportation to Don Det, they went the extra mile to make sure I got there.
Cons: The location is a bit far from centre. However, the hotel does its absolute best to provide shuttle services that link it to the centre. And, in fairness to them, there is not much going on in the city centre after 9pm anyways (though it was the off season).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Lovely colonial feeling hotel in beautifully kept grounds with a good pool and several sunbeds. Had a very private and upmarket feel in a quiet location. Very clean throughout. The photos on booking.com really don't show how truly lovely the rooms and complex are! Our room was big and the decor lovely especially the hand painted wooden plaques, mirror and wall art above the bed. Great wifi throughout and really good air conditioning unit. There was a fridge and complimentary daily water. Bed and pillows were great. Bathroom a good size and very clean with full size shampoo/conditioner and shower gel. Room was cleaned daily. The American breakfast was good with a choice of eggs, fruit, fresh juice, baguette and lovely homemade jam. Coffee was good too. The hotel is out of the main town and there is a free shuttle bus in the evening to town and back which will drop and pick you up from a restaurant of your choice. There are local shops, supermarket and coffee shops within walking distance. We chose the hotel to relax and make use of the pool. Staff can arrange tours to the waterfalls and onward travel. We had such a good couple of peaceful nights here that we extended or stay by 2 more nights. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: No tea/coffee facilities in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is so amazing “minimal” but full and yummy! I like decorations France style. And nice staff.
Cons: No
7.5 Good
Pros: The property is located in a calm and quiet suburb area. It is easy to access the city centre with the hotel’s car. There is a nice garden and a pool!
Cons: The 3 rooms we had have no windows which was a bit disappointing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay and extended our stay by 2 more nights. Please see my previous review which says it all!
Cons: No tea/coffee facilities in the room

5.0 Okay
Pros: Owner/Manager Ngoc was pleasant and helpful. Resort quite peaceful and relaxing.
Cons: Breakfast choice was poor and frugal with no black tea offered, only 1 drink included . Unusually breakfast had to be ordered the previous evening. Resort rather run down.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice garden with shadow, very nice food at breakfast and dinner, very friendly host.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Relaxed & peaceful location set back from the main road Lovely owner who helped where ever possible
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, relaxed and very well run. Good food and exceptional hospitality.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Attractive comfortable accommodation in relaxing garden setting. Very helpful owner who cooked us some delicious meals. Local trips and onwards travel booked for us by the owner with pickup directly from the accommodation. The pleasure of staying here far outweighed the disadvantage of its out of town location and the relaxing setting was envied by other travellers we joined with on day trips.
Cons: A little far out of town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best place I have stayed in SE Asia, Ngoc makes you feel right at home she’s so lovely, the rooms are perfect just right the air con worked well , nice showers and comfortable beds. Her food is amazing, her cooking classes a must while you’re in Pakse!
Cons: Nothing !
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place as it's built around a garden. Rooms are comfortable The owner, Ngoc, is really helpful and can arrange everything Restaurant is a good option as she cooks really well Far from city center (5kms) but we never felt it was an issue as there are no specific attractions in Pakse, the resort is a quiet place and it's on the way to the bolavens loop Best option is to rent a motorbike, other one is tuktuk We enjoyed our stay there
Cons: Bad Wi-Fi connection in the room but no issue in the other areas
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an amazing stay with Ngoc. She really goes out of her way to make her guests feel at home. Moreover, the rooms are spacious and very clean, with a view to the lovely lush & green garden. Breakfast is included, but you can also order some delicious dinners a few hours ahead. Since we liked her food so much, we also took Ngoc‘s cooking class which was a great experience as well. Sure, it‘s a bit outside the city centre, but you need a scooter anyway to explore the Bolaven plateau and the temples around Pakse. If you like it more quiet and green, this is the place to go. Would absolutely recommend it, including the cooking course!
Cons: Nothing!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really liked our stay! We've been warmly welcomed with a cold drink and a fruit plate. Ncog was very helpful and organised everything we needed. The room was especially clean and you get a really good bed. We can also recommend the food and especially the cooking class.
Cons: We liked everything :)

Cons: Our stay was totally perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everthing, staff rooftop reastaurant location
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome, friendly staff. Room compact but more than enough space and very clean. Shower good. Beds and pillows very good. Complimentary water and fridge in room (no tea/coffee facilities in room). View from rooftop restaurant fantastic and quality of food exceptional. Breakfast was brilliant. So much choice. You don't go away feeling hungry. Only stayed here one night but would definitely stay here again. Really good value.
Cons: Air conditioning unit in room not cooling room efficiently enough so room was quite hot overnight. Think unit needing a service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our 2nd stay here and we were upgraded on arrival. Great welcome in reception. Lovely big room, modern decor, large good bed and pillows. Slept very well. Great blackout curtains. Air conditioning unit excellent. Room and bathroom very clean and full sized toiletries supplied. Fridge, water, tea/coffee in room. Great view from rooftop restaurant and food very good. Breakfast has so much choice. Another excellent stay. This is a really good hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if in Pakse. Excellent value.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good place in Pakse to stay, nice staffs and room. Have rooftop bar to chill out the super hot weather by my chance
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed one night only. We were upgraded to a very large and clean room with nice decor and a sofa. The bathroom was very large too with both bathtub and a shower and well equipped. Very large and comfortable bed. Breakfast with both Asian and European choices. Very kind and helpful personnel. Central location. Value for money.
Cons: The room had been left for long time without air conditioning and it took hours to cool it down or perhaps the air conditioner was insufficient. The lobby and the breakfast area had no air conditioning. The hotel is beautifully decorated colonial style but it is dated and needs renovation. It was not possible to seal the windows of the room and during the storm in the night the outside air was getting in with noise. Poor English at the reception.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooftop restaurant and bar is stunning. Bed is incredibly comfortable. The room is large as is the bathroom - good facilities. Breakfast was OK. Quite expensive for what it is...
Cons: Breakfast was OK, overall a pleasant stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great service offering to book an airport transfer for us on day of arrival. The bed and pillows were super comfy which can be hard to find in SE Asia! Sheets and towels were lovely and clean and white...The breakfast buffet was fantastic. Really impressed especially after having such a rubbish breakfast in Bangkok at a more expensive hotel. Nice rooftop bar/restaurant.
Cons: Very minor thing that there wasn't really anywhere to put our luggage other than the floor.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good value in Pakse - generally OK. Good fitness room
Cons: Lots of small issues aircon did not work in the first room and was swapped to a much smaller room, less than we paid for. Plumbing iin the second room was an issue but could be lived with.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bar on the rooftop
Cons: They just painted the wall, it smells so bad we have to sleep among that smell, air refresher spray doesn’t help . Next time I would request specifically about the room.

Pros: The front desk staff and the staff, in general, was extremely friendly, patient, and helpful with all our questions. We did not need to leave the resort most of the time other to exchange money. Loved the breakfast option.
Cons: The pool area needed a little maintenance and better upkeep.
6.8 Good
Cons: The room is not beautiful as its room's price
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything, great breakfast, great staff and swimmingpool.
Cons: The matress was not four stars.
7.3 Good
Pros: Hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and there is a very nice view deck/restaurant overlooking the Mekong River.
Cons: The fitness facilities were limited and poorly maintained. The location is a bit too far from the center of town.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Service was great, and I found the price to be a great deal.
Cons: The bed was too firm for my taste, but slept well overall.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean and room was big enough for our family. The staff here are great and extremely helpful. We were fortunate to meet and speak to the manager Mr Korlap Kaewthai whom was very friendly and helpful. He made us feel very welcomed at the hotel and upon our departure made the effort to come and send us off and even went to get us some fruits for our car trip to Savannakhet. We would recommend the hotel based on his service alone. Hotel is also next to Nippon bridge and has a very nice restaurant connected next door with great food. There is also a large market across the road and golden Buddha is also nearby.
Cons: Location is not walking distance to town centre and not much to do around at night outside.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms, breakfast, pool and the view from the room was nice
Cons: Little far away from city center (about 2 km)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: staff is nice, breakfast is good, clean rooms,...
Cons: Bad wi-fi. Hotel has no additional services like renta(moto)bike, ticket arrangements,...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely decorated hotel with amazing river and sunset views. Has it’s own pool, gym and massage spa. All the staff are more than helpful and the breakfast offers a huge selection. Just great, will definitely come back here!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Pakse is...hot. Thank god the Champasak hotel was “cool”. Great location with a super friendly and helpful staff. Only stayed here a night but wish it were longer. Breakfast was fair and the suite was roomy and bed was comfortable. Two bathrooms for he and her was a plus.
Cons: It’s big, so it may seem a bit empty pretty much all the time. There also wasn’t much by way of touring offers though they did have a map of the tourist locations. Be warn though they’re all pretty much out of the way. An hour, maybe more to most of them by car. So if you’re here for the tourist attractions it will be a lot of driving. But Pakse is a growing city so this may be the case for almost every hotel that isn’t out in the boondocks.

Pros: Nice view from the restaurant, nice location if you like it quiet or/and play golf. Breakfast is good and you have a choice of different style breakfast (Asian, European) Rooms well equipped.
Cons: Reception was not always occupied so you had to wait till someone’s coming, only one guy could speak proper English. Strange breakfast system: You preorder breakfast for a fixed time but when you come later it’s cold. You can also come without preorder but then wait a bit longer.
6.8 Good
Pros: The all property, location, place, green, tranquillity, superior room and room terrace. The bicycle for guests. Reception staff.
Cons: The aircon in room not working well or in wrong place. Maintainance in the superior room ,some furniture and items damaged and floor broken. Pros: It's quiet. Rooms are big and comfortable. We celebrated Songkran with the staff, it was very funny.
Cons: The fridge stop when we leave the room. It's far from City center but staff help us to drop off and pick up.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Got to be honest, I was quite disappointed....on arrival at my room a cat ran out....not sure how long it had been there. No effort was made to clean the room at this point....or provide me with a different room. I tried to raise the issue later that the room smelt like cat urine. I was told that there was nothing that they could do!! Poor customer service! No refund....nothing! For the cost of this room....the most that I had paid in the region I would have expected a little more!

Pros: The air conditioned. Breakfast was ok.
Cons: The bathroom was very dirty and they didn't cleen it. On the other side we paid when we arrived for both nights we were staying. When we checked out, the owner told us we had only paid one night and we had to pay again!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing Indian guy running the place. If you ask him something about the Pakse Loop, he will be very honest. He doesn’t want to sell you anything like a lot of other hostels. HAD A GREAT STAY HERE!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Basic rooms but good value for money and helpful hostel people.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close to airport
Cons: Weird set up
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very cheap, good location, staff was friendly, was no problem to stay there again for one night after we did the bolaven plateau loop
Cons: There was only one bathroom per floor, so there was often someone in there When it was raining very hard there was water coming through the ceiling and it dropped in my friends bed but on the positive note they let her change bed immediately

8.0 Excellent
Cons: There is some constructions on (ofc sometimes things need to be fixed) There is no bar at 6th floor.
6.3 Good
Pros: The impressive building, the comfort of the room.
Cons: The ongoing works in the reception. The "emptiness of the place that was almost gloomy. The breakfast with no really fresh food.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The initial outside view! It all went downhill after that!
Cons: Lack of any amenities mentioned in the brochure. The place is a mausoleum that was well below our standard of disappointment. The bedroom was big but impersonal and the shower flooded out into the main room. The bain-maries were cold so the breakfast was as well. The place was so bad and empty that we were glad to leave!
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Currently under renovation. Breakfast is very limited when they have many guests.
7.0 Good
Pros: Stayed one night on the way to the airport. Comfortable room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It needs a renovation but it was simple and fine for a few nights. Big room and great views or the river and town. The breakfast was simple but enough to start the day.
Cons: I didn't like the carpet in the rooms. Seemed old and dusty.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful converted palace - looks spectacular.
Cons: The palace is large and spacious but empty. It has the makings of a super-hotel but just does not have that extra. Doors don't shut properly and a bit in decay. Breakfast was not special. Also the noise levels from the road are horrendous.
