The view and the pool, helpful staff Noise from the street
Breakfast is average. Carpets in corridors are stained and smell of cigarettes. The rooms and bathroom are very dated. In the first room they gave us, the phone did not work. In the second one, the TV did not work... The bathrooms were dirty (hair in the sink etc).
Terry clothe robes and being right next to a beautiful botanical garden! The downstairs bathroom smell like urine.
Nice hotel close to center of Palermo. Good facilities. Some misunderstandings regarding booking via booking.com (the room wasn't according to the booked room) - was sorted out by personel without any problems though.
Nice staff. At least the staff speaks English what's exceptionnal there. Good price quality balance. Excellent breakfast
The rooms have been upgraded but I feel the bathroom fittings will have a short life as work is a bit shoddy.
Swimming Pool and Cleanliness of the Room and the hotel bus into the shopping area of Palermo No set meal of the day or buffet. Not a good selection of food for breakfast for a 4 star hotel. The hotel seemed to cater for Globus Tours and wedding parties to the deteriment of other guests. I would not stay there again or indeed any Jolly Hotel if it was run like the one in Palermo.
I liked the meals served and location of place. The pool was great. The hours of the pool. They were opened from 10 to 1 and then 4-7. I wish they would be opened longer in the evening and not close between 1 and 4.
Breakfast was plentiful and suimming pool very clean Room and hotel maintenance is not great
Swimming pool They did not have my confirmed reservation, and at first they gave me a small smoking room, when I specifically ordered a non-smoking room, and after negotiation, they changed the room to a small non-smoking room, although I ordered via the web the larger double room for single use.
The roof terrace was lovely with amazing views over the city. The hotel was in a central position with easy access to the train station. The staff were really friendly and helpfull.
The Hotel's location and was impressed by its cleanliness
Short walk from the train/bus station. Close to restaurants and sights. Great views from the rooftop restaurant. Room was a good size. Bathroom is a little cramped. Shower only. Wifi can be a little spotty during busy times. Saturday night can be a little bit noisy from the bars outside, but no problems other times.
The position of the hotel is convenient for the major sights and transport. The view from the roof while we had breakfast was breathtaking We got back to the hotel late and a machine selling hot or cold drinks would have been welcome as the mini bar was empty
Helpful reception and breakfast staff. Central location. It was noisy with bulding work in the light well commencing at 6.45 AM by throwing bricks into a wheelbarrow. We were in room 508. Also pillows were rock hard.
convenient location near to station and main tourist sites, great roof terrace for breakfast/evening drinks, friendly and helpful staff Some noise at night from street bars.
We like the room which is good value for the price. It seems recently renovated and it's nice to have high ceiling. The terrace at the top where we had breakfast is really nice. The hotel is hard to get to. We got stuck in a traffic jam in center of town. There's so many one way streets and we got lost many times. The parking garage is not exactly close by. Inside the room, the shower door does not close properly and the drain is slow. That was a bit annoying.
Close to Stations. Panorama from terrace
A good location besides train station There are PUBs nearby the hotel and it is noisy at night!!
The staff is awesome - they went out of their way to help with our special requests and multiple change of plans Nothing
The staff was just superb. Friendly, helpful and always available. The roof top lounge was a real treat with stunning views of the old city. We enjoyed it for breakfast and wine in the evening. Our room was lovely, small fridge, very nicely appointed. Great location for exploring the markets, port and other important sites in old Palermo.
Gorgeous, clean, great location and felt safe. A true gem. I can't wait to go back.
the location and design of the hotel was excellent. as was the reception staff - very helpful with enquiries re restaurants, trains, buses etc. the breakfast was quite poor. on 2 days we were seated at tables with stained table cloths - should never be allowed. the scrambled eggs were lumpy and watery - no resemblence to scrambled eggs at all.
The architecture of the hotel and the elegance of the rooms.Very quiet and discrete place to be in the heart of the city of Palermo.Excellent value for the money. The quality of the breakfast is improvable.
This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. We travel quite a lot and this hotel is definitely one that we would like to recommend. We stayed in a Deluxe room, with a separate jacuzzi room. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant and can recommend this to anyone staying at the hotel and not wanting to go out and hunt for a top-restaurant. Breakfast was not top (choice of food) - but was it was fresh. No glasses in the room/mini-bar...
Nicely appointed rooms in great location. Friendly, helpful staff. not their fault, but there was a power blackout one night.
We have enjoyed the hotel which is clean, new, central, quit - just beautiful.
The staff were extremely helpful at Quintocanto. Alitalia lost our bags and the hotel staff tracked them down for us and made sure they were there before our departure (trust me, it didn't look promising). In the meantime, my wife and I had an excuse to enjoy the shopping in the area and relaxed with an excellent massage in the spa. The prices are reasonable, the location is excellent, and the service is even better. We did not have a car, but I can imagine that parking in the area would be difficult.
The room was beautiful though absolutely no view.Bathroom was like a spa. Sheets and bed were wonderful. Decor was far more elegant than expected. Spa also is beautiful. Need more staff at night and during the summer. They were overworked and it led to an extremely slow resolution of problems with the internet and phone etc. The houseman was delivering room service and getting parked cars. It was
Best location for sight seeing. The restaurant was excellent. They had a wifi access, but I could not get connected for some reason. The hotel staff said it was something wrong with my PC or sofrware. It could have been helpful if there is some kind of written instruction.
Great and very central location, clean and new both in the rooms and the common areas, tasteful and functional decoration (but not cold or without character). Good breakfast, at least for general Italian standards (that is, do not expect a huge buffet but it is also not the regular croissant - jam - coffee kind of minimal Italian breakfast). There was some construction noise, which we also saw in other reviews from September 2010, but thought would be over by our trip (which was mid-November). Unfortunately it was not the case. Having read about it on booking.com, we had requested a room away from the construction work when booking, but that did not happen. We understand from the hotell staff that it is from a neighbouring building so they do not have much control, but it would be good if they could speak to the neighbours and have the noise at least not before 10 am (it started at around 8.30).
I like its central location, its parking service, and its looks. Maybe the lack of light in our room.
After booking at an already competitive rate, I was delighted to get an upgrade (late August, city centres in Italy are devoid of italians/business travellers so hotels have more availability) and it was a room at the back so very quiet and overlooking the roof of a big church and just wonderful. Their restaurant was also the one which served us the best meal of the whole week in Sicily and the staff were helpful with choices of wine and food. Hotel staff also recommended us a local car rental which proved in turn to be very competitively priced and helpful too. Oh and it couldn't have been more central. It is spread over 2 buildings so there was a slightly roundabout route to our room but that was not a problem.
very nice hotel, the staff was friendly, attentive and helpful especially in breakfast room, the outstanding reasturant. very spacious bathroom. double room was not enough spacious
In the bathroom, the shower was difficult to adjust (to turn on/off and temperature-wise) and there was a problem with the sink plug.
The Bye Bye Blues restaurant was absolutely outstanding and a wonderful surprise. We did not expect to find a restaurant of such a high standing in Palermo. Also being a coeliac I was very impressed to find that there was gluten free bread for me at breakfast and at dinner. Excellent service. Also the bathrooms were fabulous with magnificent large shower heads which gave the best shower. There is nothing negative that I could say about the hotel, staff or restaurant. I would definitely stay there again.
Relatively modern hotel in the middle of Palermo. Breakfast was great! No Tea or coffee available in the rooms, Resturant closed on our second night.
great location, lovely gardens nearby plus the seaside feel. Fabulous bedroom and bathroom, lovely staff. The hotel was an absolute gem and would not hesitate to recommend it to both business and couples. Nothing to dislike
The restaurant on the 4th floor is excellent! The included breakfast is lovely. Very accomadating regarding special dietary needs. No ability to make coffee/tea in the room
A small boutique Hotel in the old quarter of Palermo. Fresh and contemporary design, and very helpful staff. Our room had a very large bed. Breakfast was served until 11.00 - also a bonus for us! There are a number of building sites in the area, and these begin work at about 6.30 am. We would have liked a sofa in our room or at least two comfortable chairs. The reception had sofas where one could sit and read, so that was OK although not ideal.
It is clean and comfortable with value for money. Its location is very convenient. We have stayed three times and are booked to return again soon. The staff are friendly and great breakfast. No.
Extremely modern and compact boutique hotel, small but up-market interior. Staff at reception were extremely courteous and helpful. The great disappointment with this hotel is it location, with its entrance in the middle of a dark lane. One suspects that this may be addressed in time with adjoining development but it is currently very off-putting and not conducive to venturing out at night by foot. Palermo itself felt very dirty and swarmy at the time of our visit and hotel is located in a quarter which needs uplifting. Breakfast selection was poor and meagre and would need to be upgraded to match overall ambiance and up-market quality of room specification. Therefore some reservation in recommending it at present though no fault with hotel room itself or its staff.
clean, well designed, quiet, comfortable, most staff was very good Palermo still has a ways to go, especially regarding trash and cleanliness - but the hotel has nothing to do with it - it only suffers.
Comfortable room, superb breakfast with a view over the rooftops to the mountains, but the highlight was the fantastic spa. Some street noise but it didn't bother us.
Very comfortable and nicely appointed hotel. Good value and great location. We had two spacious rooms. Nice breakfast and view from the terrace. Breakfast is O.K. but limited. No fresh juice (all from the package...)
The hotel is in an ancient convent. Staff is helpful and speaks English. Stylish bar and a nice garden. Location is great.
Very comfortable hotel not too far from the centre of town. Good sized room well fitted-out, with a nice firm bed. Loved the rooftop breakfast room and good breakfast buffet spread.
Location and friendly staff. Room was excellent. No complaints
The breakfast The worst night ever. Via Roma is a highway at night, therefore, impossible to sleep. The old mattress with the feeling of spring that gets into your skin does not help the situation. The bathroom, covered with mold and hair was just disgusting. I do not understand how customers can leave good comments about this hotel. The price is not worth the effort, believe me!
The location was very nice. Very close to the traing station Easy access to all the attrications . Close to restaurants and staff Was awesome. The Shower was very small.
Location; Helpful, friendly staff - we were able to leave our luggage after checking out to collect later; Full of character - loved the lift! but with modern facilities and comfort; Good breakfast;
Location. The room we had bookined for our friend had a shower that did not work well. Hotel adjusted the price for him.
Location was very good, 400 yards from the main central train station in Palermo. We stayed in room 14 where the window faced a brick wall. No air supply into the room and although the rooms are advised to be soundproof they are not. The rooms don't have proper doors and you can see into the corridor through the crack in the door. Room was dusty and not cleaned properly. Only one very dangerous plug socket to use between the two of us, which the TV and lamps where also plugged into with an adapter. Bathroom very old and dated not very comforting. Hotel didn't advise that a school group would be staying in room 15 on our last night so was very noisy.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Excellent location. Beds are very soft.
Good location, close to Palermo Central rail station. Staff helpful and friendly. Room was on the small side.
Great location, close to main station and shopping area
Very good value for money, perfect location (in ther heart of the city), kind staff and very good breakfast. Maybe a little bit noisy in the morning when staff clean rooms from the upper floor.
Situation near station, airy clean rooms, nice breakfast
Central location, cleanliness and good breakfast No
