The hotel was conveniently located near food outlets and shops. There was a bus stop in front of the hotel and the metro station was also within walking distance. Most of the staff were able to converse in English. Although the breakfast buffet spread was limited, the food was nice. The underground cellar provided a cosy ambience for breakfast.
The water supply was cut off for a few hours on two of the days during my four nights' stay. Some of the light switches were not working. One of the bedside lamp in my room was not even there! There was an aircon remote but the aircon did not seem to be working at all. The bar fridge was also not working. The flask for boiling water was dirty. It would be nice if the vanity kit included a toothbrush and toothpaste. The tiny elevator would not be able to fit normal sized wheelchairs.
This location was great for all we wanted to do.
Many things I did not like, but the carpet was the BIGGEST turn off. FILTHY. This place is Veeeeeeeeery old. Room wayyyyy too small only one person can fit in shower or bathroom at a time. No amenities at all. Alley view, No screens on window. I wondered if they just picked the worst possible room and gave it to me!!! Luckily We were able to find something much better. the "Nomad" was great, modern and the best shower ever! It is farther away, but at least they had food and great shuttle service.
Location was great. Continental breakfast fine. Staff were mostly pleasant, but occasionally forgetful.
Somewhat shabby - some of electrics looked a bit dodgy! Asked staff to book us a taxi to Gare du Nord for our return, but they apparently told taxi driver Gare de Lyons - which cost me an extra €10 or so, not very happy about that!
The location is perfect, we have underground just a few steps from the hotel.
Only 2 power plugs in the room, the curtain in the bathroom needs to be changed,
The location of the hotel was fantastic as it was in easy walking distance to the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathederal.
Although there was a lift in the hotel it was only able to take two people at a time and was so small that a larger person may have difficulty getting in and out of it. The breakfast was very limited. The room was very dated and small and at times subject to loud banging from doors of other rooms being closed at all times of the night.
