it is quite central and its price. people at the reseption were nice.
rooms without shower are really small (about 12-13m2), with no window (or fasing other building's wall), bidet and sink are right at the end of the bed, other people hair on the pillow case after "cleaning", beding and towels didn't seem clean at all... there is only 1 shower in the building for those without "ensuit"... but it was cheap
Proximity to train station and price and availability compared to others.
Bathrooms are absurd - your knees hit the door. Shower is ok but is shared obviously on 3rd floor. No soap provided. Towels are small and poor quality. Bidet and sink in the room ! Strange. Very cheap horrible hotel. Pay a little more and get lot better conditions !
Noisy, dirty hotel. Not as cheap as you might expect from place like that.
no place to put shower head. it was just a bath tub with a removable shower head. also no elevator

room where we slept looked like bathroom :-) because it was half-tiled and there are bed, basin and bidet together...it is realy original! :-)
The Hotel is very close to the "Gare de l'Est", where I had to catch a train earaly in the morning. Good if you are staying one night and have to get a train at Gare de l'Est!
There are 7 floors of rooms, with no elevator. I had to take heavy bags walking up to the 7th floor. I do not know if all rooms do not have showers, but I only found 1 shared shower in the 4th floor. The hotel has about 37 rooms. I was unlucky to have very noisy guests in the next room!

It is conveniently located near gare du nord and gare east
but the neighbourhood looks tough, sometimes I am a bit afraid about the security.
