We enjoyed our stay at Dunedin and found everything to be as advertised. Only a few minutes walk from the town centre and some good places to dine in the evenings.
The host, John is a gem, very social and keen to ensure one has the best experience in Cornwall.. Breakfast is excellent!! n/a
My whole stay at Dunedin was excellent but particularly the Full English Breakfast was suberb and one of the best I have ever had and that includes breakfast at the Ritz.
The room was very nice....and extremely warm. We were unable to find the source of the warmth, there being no radiators or heaters in the room. (under floor heating maybe ? or heat rising from an aga or such like underneath ? It would be nice to know. Breakfast was superb.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, room very clean.
we had some problems adjusting the hot water in our hotel room
The staff were very friendly, the breakfasts very high quality and the rooms very comfortable and clean. The host went out of his way to ensure we knew the area and offered lots of local tips/knowledge. We weren't able to stay longer!
Friendly staff. Super breakfasts. On a bus route. Free parking ( and always available) in the road. Single room at top of approx. 60 stairs.
The coastal walk is relaxing along the beach. The town is near and complete. No access and suitable for swimming.
Very good room good value Although I had stated that I would be leaving early (07.38 am train) I was told breakfast was at 07.30 am and no offer of earlier time or something to take with me on the train was made.
Staff fine and food ok Room & bathroom in poor repair. General cleanliness not up to standard.
Unfortunately nothing. the room was small and squalid, the shower impossible to control the temperature with bits of matter regurgertating from the plug hole and the breakfast greasy and unappealing due to the lack of general hygiene!
pleasant and sociable landlady who served up a good breakfast . A comfortable bed and a good shower were very welcome.the location was ideal for public transport. the accommodation had very tired decor and in need of general improvement. the shower/ toilet room door was unwieldy and noisy along with the plumbing.
Across the road from the train station I wasn't expecting much but it was not clean. Glad I arrived when it was dark so I couldn't see the extent of it... I didn't stay for breakfast!
Staff are very friendly and helpful. The bed is too soft for me.
I'm struggling to find any. There was a ceiling fan which worked well. The room was extremely small; lightbulb broken; threshold to shower a trip hazard; bed mattress lumpy; window didn't open; storage for clothes inadequate; anything above waist height was dusty and cobwebby; the towels were small and grey and thin. In the other parts of the 'hotel' that I saw, carpets and furnishings were dirty and in need of renewal; there were cats cradles of trailing wires from overloaded electric points; there was a terrible smell of burning while breakfast was prepared although the food itself was ample and quite edible, if greasy; the 'butter' had been scraped into its pot and decorated with a fork; there was an ant in the sugar bowl and when I went to change it with a bowl from another table it was perfectly obvious that all of them had been filled several days before and added to over time without washing - do you want me to go on?
Location, location, location. The hot shower was great too. Breakfast. Ease of going in and out as I pleased and no rush on breakfast or checkout. It is very basic and for a double the price was high--I seemed to have paid for two breakfasts as a solo traveler (esp since I realized why my bed was uncomfortable--it was two twins shoved together).
central to town nowhere to park car
The friendliness of the proprietors, they were so helpful with everything including directions around the town. No.
