7.1 Good
Pros: I've always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. But best of all is the location and access to the ski runs. Parking on site is also a massive bonus.
Cons: I've stayed at this property a number of times and always enjoyed my stay. However, room 6 is a very small room for 3 people, and is location means any and all noise from people entering the lobby door can be heard in the room. Thin walls don't help.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The venue was amazing and was exactly what we needed. Almost all staff were amazing and extremely accomodating.
Cons: There was only 1 staff member we didn’t like. She was down in the place where you can book private lessons. Near the kids zone. She was rude and then over charged us over $200. When we questioned her didn’t give an explaination. She only said that we had been charged for a 2 day pass. We clearly told her we only wanted the Noon pass. She then tried to refund us only $100 and we questioned her again and she was trying to charge us for a single day pass. We only wanted a Noon pass. We couldn’t help but feel that she was trying to scam money from us. She also did not even apologise to us. Not even once. She was just rude and blunt the entire time. And then after all that. When we went out to start out lesson. Our lift passes didn’t work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean, great location, very helpful staff
Cons: TV didn’t work which was kind of annoying because there was nothing else to do and nowhere to go in the evening. But other than that, it was perfect

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: My daughter got sick so we asked if we could leave one night earlier and reschedule it for another time. The manager didn’t handle this nicely. We stayed 3 nights doing nothing !!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Meals were superb - and all staff were very attentive and far exceeded all our expectations from the very beginning with contact with Belinda and the front line staff of Bianca and Jake the Duty Manager. Let me say staff are this place. This place is a hidden gem and perfect for the families and beginners.

Cons: Tv didn’t work at all - minor issue but a bit annoying

Pros: Location, comfort, friendly staff, good food, comfy beds, warm rooms, great views, good nightly entertainment in the restaurant, good movies on cable TV in the room, nice sauna and spa.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, clean, amazing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic ski in and ski out location. Matt was such a great host and helped us with absolutely everything, including transporting our luggage back to the ski tube at the end of the day after holding it for us while we were out on the slopes. The meals are excellent and the view from the lodge is exceptional.
Cons: Having to walk up the hill at the end of a long day on the legs! You can certainly ski down from the lodge, but it's uphill on the way home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Matt and the rest of the staff were excellent! Really friendly atmosphere. The food was amazing and far surpassed my expectations. As it’s a smaller place, they look after you on an individual level too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Evening meals were fantastic. Staff were amazing, lodge was exceptionally clean and Matt was incredible, nothing was ever too much trouble.. He was always available to transfer us or luggage to & from the ski tube and pick ups from the lift.
8.3 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have had the BEST time in Perisher Valley! Matt and Luanne were incredibly friendly and helpful, simply AWESOME!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Heated bathroom floor. Great lounge area and view.
Cons: It’s a bit dated . The bed was uncomfortable and would be too short for a taller person . I’m 5 ft 7 and I only just fit. A 6 ft person would not fit the bed. The spa was broken.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything was great
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location. It was in a great spot. Very much the lodge atmosphere, where itis intended that you spend time in the communal areas. Matt and the rest of the staff could not be more helpful. And it has its own snow transport. How good.
Cons: Some lights in our room did not work. But didn't really detract from what was needed. Spa and steam room were broken. But again, the sauna was fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing, best holiday ever

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like
8.8 Excellent
Pros: They picked up our luggage without us checking in and dropped off our luggage the day we left meaning we had maximum time skiing. Really amazing. They also phoned us before our stay so we new exactly what we needed to bring and what we didn't. They really went out of their way.
Cons: Place was a bit overheated for us.

Pros: Location and staff were excellent.

Pros: Friendly staff, very accommodating, lovely, spacious accommodation with great outlook.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money and amazing staff who made our stay so enjoyable! Food was great and the rooms were clean and modern.
7.1 Good
Pros: Property is lovely and great location. Very polite and helpful staff.
Cons: Limited dining hours. Should be open for breakfast, coffee and early dinner. Why does it close on a Tuesday night during a limited seasonal period. Caused limitations with food and eating/drinking early. The over snow transport always breaks down.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and friendly on site staff
Cons: Squeaky upstairs floor boards
7.9 Good
Cons: End of season so they were closing down all facilities. Everything seemed a bit too hard. If you’re going to charge full price, at least make sure all facilities are available and easy even if it is end of season.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fantastic 10/10
Cons: Hotel was good however our specific room is right next to the snowmobiles and shed so at all hours of the night i would hear it on and off and drilling. It wasnt too bad but im a light sleeper
Sundeck Hotel - Perisher Valley - Building
8
8.6 Excellent (122 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Sundeck Hotel in Perisher Valley, you'll be in the entertainment district, within a 10-minute walk of Perisher Ski Resort and Village 8 Express. Featured amenities include luggage storage, ATM/banking services, and coffee/tea in a common area.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location obviously, but the fact that everyone we met there has been coming back year after year says a lot about the place. Meals and service really good. We felt like members of a cosy club rather than simply staying in a hotel. And the snow taxi service from Perisher is great, too. Finally a bit of advice - be aware you can’t park overnight in Perisher - you have to leave your car at the ski tube station outside Jindabyne...
Cons: Tiny bathroom - would be a problem for larger guests
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and friendly staff.
Cons: Noise in hallways late at night with a few rowdy groups. Other than that it was fabulous!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome service, great food
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, comfy beds, good breakfast and dinner. Excellent location when there's enough snow to ski in/out but still convenient even when there isn't much snow. Staff very helpful in holding our dinner as we had to go out in the evening for interschool races. Well stocked bar. :) Magic show on Tuesday night was brilliant! Gorgeous valley view from our room.
Cons: Lodge felt underheated in places. Our room on the lower floor was a bit cold, as was the bar area (unless full of people) and one end of the guest lounge. Hard to find heating/space to get ski clothing dry following a wet day on the snow. A couple more simple bar snacks other than chips and biscuits would be nice, eg. muffins, toasties. For the price a few nice touches like a hairdryer and a box of tissues in the rooms would be appreciated as luggage space is limited when you have to travel up to hotel via skitube and oversnow vehicle.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: location, friendly staff & meals
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathrooms dirty
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My family and I have been going to the Sun Deck Hotel for over 10 years. Cliff the owner is amazing person and you see and feel his warm throughout. For ski in-ski out couldn't ask for anything better. The rustic feel, amazing 3 course meal every night, warm bar, house of Schnapps & always great entertainment. Not to mention the sneaky sauna to help the muscles after a long day on the slopes.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality and the food was delicious and the location was amazing
Cons: The beds were to firm and not comfy
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding location ski-ski out, easy to access via the Oversnow from the ski tub. By far the highlight was the standard of the meals - incredible variety, including Asian options, & quality and good sized meals after a big day on the slopes.
Cons: Please advertise the meal times on a sign in the dining room, to save asking to ask the busy staff. More electrical plugs in the rooms - just one in the bathroom so you are charging near water and over the toilet.
7.9 Good
Pros: On snow!
Cons: Need more meal choices.

Pros: Awesome location and shuttle service to snow made everything easy
7.5 Good
Pros: The three course meals were great. The shuttle bus ran like clockwork and the ski hire shop was helpful. Reception staff were friendly and the room was basic but comfortable.
Cons: The rush to feed everyone in s short time frame had the staff stressed and terse at times. Very expensive for a very basic, small room but the location and shuttle bus were good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was always hot and ready to go.
Cons: Rooms a next door we’re a little noisy but that wa the guests staying there not the resorts fault

7.1 Good
Pros: Food was excellent!!!!! Restaurant and bar staff excellent!!!! Help with luggage a bit poor.
Cons: Housekeeping a bit ordinary didnt leave us towels! Called front desk for towels had to call twice! Also No blanket in room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Kids club was amazing! I thought the staff in there did an amazing job.
Cons: Didn’t like the divider between the fire space and the restaurant. Would be nice if you got a view from the fire too and a bit more light. Although the bathrooms were clean and tidy it would be nice if they go a reno. Some food was out of stock.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff did not need to go anywhere
Cons: Walking to snow field
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Water pressure in shower awesome! Loved the renovations to the dining room. Meals at restaurant and bar excellent. Huge improvement to the breakfast service. Great having a day spa on sight. Arrival and departure information on point.
Cons: Mountain view room excessively noisey during 80km winds. Could hear snow plough reversing signal beeping at 1am as the car park across the road was ploughed, take earbuds or perhaps they should be supplied. Sound proofing mountain view rooms down the track would be money well spent. 75 minute hot stone massage expensive at $269 for 75 minutes. Difficult to get an appointment, book before you arrive. Humidifier in room would improve comfort. Room decor of cedar tv cabinet and small tv is dated. Personally not a fan of coat hangers that the hook is detached when removed from wardrobe, makes drying ski jackets and clothes difficult. Some regular coat hangers for this purpose would be handy.
6.3 Good
Pros: The lounge area; open fires all day.
Cons: It would be great if boot drying room had heated boot racks. The mattresses were TOO HARD!! One night the dinner wasn't as good as the usually very good meals.
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff were great
Cons: It’s old and run down but I’d still go back as it is warm and close to ski lifts
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing right adjacent to the Ski Tube and it was an easy walk to the ski lifts. The beds were so good and the food was DELICIOUS. Breakfast and Dinner were included and the lounge/fire areas were very relaxed. Dinners were amazing and the chef doing "eggs to order" was excellent. Our rooms had a view of the slopes. While the TV was small it was more than adequate in the room. The hotel was very well run and Sharon, who gave me a post ski massage, was incredible. We would stay again.
Cons: Try and keep young kids away from breakfast bar somehow? - many kids hovering/waiting for pancakes and sneezing. Maybe parents should be more aware? We never like those pod coffee machines, but the staff made us barista shots to then be able to add milk/water from the machine:)
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing so out dated our mattress was so old it was made in the 70s. management refused to make our stay comfortable.
Cons: Everything was so secondhand I have had better stays at a backpacking hostel. We paid 600 a night to be treated like a door Matt.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location for skiing
Cons: Looking a bit tired but was comfortable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great...there were 4 of us and we enjoyed a variety of foods... The location was great, we enjoyed the view out the window while consuming our food.
Cons: Everything was fine, no complaints!

Pros: Location. It is right on snow, a few minutes walk and you're at Smiggin Holes snow field.
6.3 Good
Pros: Food is good.
Cons: Bed is dirty, many hair... doesn't know they change new sheet or no. Sauna is out of order. Bar seats are not many, no where to go. No reply my question properly, not enough parking space. Not on the side of main drive way. need to walk cross the snow part up small hill or walk a big round on driving way there. You can hear everyone talking next door or outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. The young woman who helped with serving was amazing. This is a really great place and I would recommend it as a great location and as a comfortable nights rest. Views are to die for.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.
Cons: Expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts Leah and Hank in particular were what made this such an awesome experience for our family. The location was gorgeous and so close to the slopes The staff, accommodation, restaurant and service was 10 out of 10. The meals were yummy and served hot. No matter what we needed they met every need with a smile. 100% going back to stay
Cons: Would have loved a small bar fridge and a kettle to make a cup of tea in our room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Limited on-site parking
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The snowman we built outside our window who said hello every morning when we opened blinds
Cons: Going back to work
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were happy to help with any query and request. The hosts wonderful and staff worked their butts off. The chalet is a tad tired but clean and comfortable with great access to the slopes. Food pretty good given the number of guests they were catering for. Great breakfast to set you up for the day.
