Overview

Staying at the Driftwood Motel means being right on the water in an old-school Florida cottage; imagine how you could wake up every morning and see the sunrise over the beautiful Indian River – this is how traveling to Florida was decades ago. However, the hotel is not just about rekindling a sense of nostalgia, there are several other amenities including having a pet friendly hotel. There are lots of activities to do as well; Jensen Beach has many great restaurants located just a few minutes from the hotel, and you can take a short drive to Jonathan Dickinson State Park to see some beautiful dunes along with a great beach. One of the best parts about the cottages are the views, and seeing the Roosevelt Bridge with the lights on at dusk is the perfect picture.

The Driftwood Motel features cottages that are equipped with full kitchens. These cottages are all stand-alone so you do not have to deal with the inconvenience of shared walls. Everything is included, and there is a surprising amount of space in the cottages, including with the beds and with the kitchen. Each cottage has its own entrance, and they are all decorated with 1950’s style beachfront regalia. However, there is modernity, there are televisions with hundreds of channels in the room along with Wi-Fi connection throughout the entire property.

The Driftwood Motel is a great example of what old-fashioned traveling to Florida was like. This hotel is a great step back in time with service and décor but up with the times in terms of the amenities.
