Location is perfect and staff was very nice
Could use some updating and cleaning
broken screens, cleaning less than satisfactory
I appreciated that the room was pretty and seemed very well cleaned. Due to safety concerns, we still thoroughly sanitized our room ourselves, but we were glad it seemed to have been already cleaned well by the motel staff. I love how close the motel is to the beach! I did not use the pool, but it did look nice.
The name "Resort" should not be used, as that is misleading. Besides the beautiful building that is pictured (where you check in), it is, for all intents & purposes, a motel. Please be more transparent so one can choose to stay at a motel if they so desire, not get tricked into one. I also didn't like the fact that the room layout has the sink where you wash your hands after using the restroom in the same small space as the microwave & fridge. The WiFi did not work. Lastly, the loud, smoking, swearing, sketchy people from the other rooms was a total turn off.
The location and the beach were both nice., The room was large enough for two and had a king bed, a fridge, and a microwave. Those amenities were appreciated. Although we didn't use it, the pool looked like it was very well maintained. Internet was very fast. I recommend bringing a Roku or something similar since TV channels are the pits.
We would have liked to have maid service of any kind - we didn't receive ANY maid service for our entire 3-day stay, and had to hunt down people to ask for towels, tissues, more coffee for the coffee maker, etc. Our toilet, sink, and tub were not cleaned at all during the three days of our visit, and the bed sheets/pillow cases were not changed at all. We thought this was horrible and have never experienced such a lack of attention to guest needs at any hotel where we've ever stayed. The 'ocean view' balcony was a very big disappointment since the thick railing blocked our view of the ocean when we were sitting in the chairs provided (see photos) and the new higher dunes severely limited the view as well if you could see over the railing. Definitely NOT worth paying so much money for. This was a horrible value for the money we paid. The room was very old and 'dated' and parts of it could use some maintenance, e.g., squeaky closet doors that wouldn't close correctly, door leading to the balcony was noisy, windows were dirty and difficult to see out of, and the curtains by our sliding doors to the balcony were pretty disgusting. There was virtually NO information about the hotel, hotel services or on-premise restaurants, nearby restaurants, or things to do provided in the room. Upon arrival, we were given a three-page photocopy of internet instructions, TV channels, and a diagram of the hotel buildings. That was the sum total of the information we received.
It was small, loud , dirty, definitely too expensive. Deceiving pictures online. It’s not a resort, it’s a motel, not even a sink in bathroom! Had to pay a resort fee and not even a resort! There was a hole in bathtub and broken toilet! The retiring was ridiculously expensive. Couldn’t even order an adult beverage because they are only served Wednesday thru Saturday, again not a resort.
