Fantastic Island a gem. The hotel was qaint in an antique sort of way.
Friendly staff Seaview is expensive and rom view is not excellent
The hotel has some truly amazing views. The pool and deck chairs are great for some tanning and relaxing time. The shuttle service is greatly appreciated and the driver is very friendly and always smiling... Slightly over-priced for the room you get, but on an island like Ponza you don't spend much time in your room watching TV..
A very pleasent and helpful staff. A beautiful set up and very close to a beach,in season. But also other beaches to go to with water taxi.only few minutes walk to the port but have an excellent hotel taxi which will pick you up or drop you to the port too. This is not about the hotel but only information !! Just check the ferry crossings in "out of season!" The season starts the first week of June and ends in October. However if you call the hotel they are very helpful to advise you about this. There are different ports and the time of crossing and price varies.
Breakfast Poor but the views from the terrace when eating it were fantastic, as were the views from our room. Breakfast just 1 roll & 1 corneti. Decor a little run down.
Beautiful location, I wish they has a swimming pool, but it was a great stay, fairly close to the city center. We forgot our passports at the hotel, and the staff, though limited english knowledge, was helpful getting us them through a contact, which was a lifesaver. The showers are hard to shut properly, or at least in our room, resulting in flooding in the entire bathroom.
The choice of rooms was awesome...tower room overlooking the bay! The breakfast was complete and always refilled for latecomers and quite tastey. The room was beautiful, clean, very nice! We wish we had known that the hotel beach was closed. It would have been nice to know we were unable to access that beach and very few beaches at all on the whole island. We had to persevere to be able to get to any Ponza beach. Locals helped us access a beautiful beach finally.
Wonderful staff, very helpful despite not speaking so much english. Tizianno, one of the concierge, was particularly warm and welcoming. Location was on the other side of the island from the main port, an area called La Forna. This was nice because it was quiet and beautiful.
The location was fantastic just above the natural pools with the water so vividly blue and clear. Our room had a little landing with chairs and a table overlooking the sea. The room was very comfortable and clean, great shower. We enjoyed a lovely seafood lunch at the hotel restaurant. The shuttle bus was a great service they picked us up from the port and dropped us back for dinner, although the islands bus service is not too bad either. Separate from the hotel, we had difficulties getting from anzio to ponza. A boat had landed, so they were all booked out We were later informed that the boats from Terracina are more reliable. The hotel were most helpful in allowing us to stay longer on our final day, seeing it was only a weekend trip and we had lost a night. There aircon was not working although in june the rooms were quite cool. There was a problem as I had booked the shuttle bus early to do some shopping before taking the ferry. Another girl with blonde hair who spoke english asked to change times and thinking she was me the hotel they changed our time and not hers, so they took our booking off the bus and we had to catch a later one. slightly annoying!
The staff were so friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic, views were fabulous too No
The Hotel staff was very friendly and accomadating, the food was delicious and the location on the hillside above the Natural Pools was incredible! The shower filled very quickly tending to overflow, you had to take a very fast shower!
