all the rooms in the hotel overlooks the beautiful bay of port of san miguel. lots of entertainment for the kids, and good entertainment in evening for both kids and adults.. also get the choice of eating in the other two sister hotels either side of the catgo hotel, but the cartago was the best for all food of the three. the restaurant had beautifull views over the bay with a masive glass frontage looking out.. the only downside to this hotel is they are built into the rockside and there was only two lifts, which sometimes for mealtimes you could wait a while (the retaurant was on floor 8 and pool on floor 0)
Hotel and staff were excellent, entertainment team excellent, kids enjoyed joining in the activities both day and night. Excellent family resort right on the beach.
the staff are fab its great to see you all again, the service is great and although we didn't bring the children this time it is very safe,we will be bringing yet another new family with us next year to introduce them to san miguel. this is the seventh time i have stayed here so its fab, only was a little disappointed that the entertainment was inside so it was limited.
Fantastic location right on the beach, excellent for kids (kids clubs, pools, beach, entertainment). Lifts took ages!! Also, after 1 week, evening entertainment got a bit repetative...
friendly staff, very peaceful, beautiful scenery, fun filled days & nights but also quiet areas if you preferred, good choice of food & drink, hotel very clean , excellent choice! nothing at all !
Fantastic break, Hotel staff all extremely friendly, always something to do and the entertainment team are top drawer. Would recommend to anyone. Leaving.....
the location and views from the hotel - the facilities the rip off when paying the bill by charging a much higher exchange rate
Location was magnifiscent ,food was very good ,amenities were plenty and the beach was lovely. Many performances for the children and pool and drink options for the adults. The condition of rooms
i enjoyed the hotel very much excellent views from room good variety of food and plenty of it.
the staff were great the location beautiful
location, climate, staff, food common areas occasionaly smelt like belgium(w.c pong)
the view! smell in the bathroom, hard beds, no free safe
The Beach is amazing ! Too far from the Clubs :( which is what Ibiza is all about !!!
Some of the front office staff was very helpful. (The ladies) This one had a broken balcony door lock. They had to changed our room unwillingly after a one night stay.
Clean, excellent food, great location for young kids
location right on safe sandy beach, waterpark great for kids and easy access from hotel, daytime actitivities with Barry and Pattie, food had a good variety and was nice, waiters very pleasant Pool a bit small
We thought it was the ideal location with the option of the pool, the beach or the waterpark. There were 9 children in our group and it was perfect that they could do different things and still be beside the hotel/ I think there should be a better option of snacks for those who do not wish to go into the restaurant for lunch
It catered for everyone. Close to the beach.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and food was varied and good
The food was great and the location right next to the beach and the water park of course. The shower design is horrible, water splashes everywhere! A/C is in front of the beds. Also, they don't serve alcoholic beverages other than beer in the water park and the other beverages are limited.
variety of food excellent, location in terms of beach front excellent, entertainment average, kids club unavailable in October school holidays and when avaialble on to Thomas Cook or First Choice travellers Unhelpful reception staff and manager.Exceptionally freezing cold pool and waterpark pools
The location of the hotel is excellent, the food very good and staff very helpful and friendly.
the food, drink, service and the waterpark free yes free . I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
i liked the laid back ambiance from the moment i walked in the front dooralso the location and food
Great location, calm area 30 mins from Ibiza. Nice installation, small hotel (max 20 rooms) personalised service, big pool, clean, big room. matrasse was not confortable at all, the cook was fired last year you only get breakfast at the moment. very humid area (even in august) if you suffer from back pain, leave it. probalby not the most appropiate hotel for small kids
Staff were superb : extremley kind & attentive. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere at Hotel Rural Can Maries. We thought it was delightful!
Staff was friendly, the beach was nice as well as the swimming pool and the parking was easy. The food was not nice.
beds to hard
Hotel was clean, very nice sea view, quite good buffet, rooms could have been better
buffet breakfast/dinner great choice.attractive public areas.excellent evening entertainment.20mtrs to beach. the noisy club hotel next door.early finishing time of dinner and early closing of bar.
Excellent location. Kind and helpful staff. Unfortunately, there was a problem either by booking.com or the hotel, whereby our reservation was lost or misplaced. Thus, no room was prepared for us upon our arrival. The hotel was effectively booked up, with the exception of a room in a poor location, (1st floor, directly on the street and with a view of a large concrete wall), which seemed to be usually held for handicapped visitors (wide doors, oversize bathroom with railings and missing the bidet). In addition, due to the confusion and discussion about the lack of a reservation, we missed dinner that was to be part of the half-board package. We were eventually given a cold meal, but it was very substandard. We were not offered a different room the next day, although we were accomodated once we asked to be moved. The remainder of the stay was delightful, although it did not totally compensate for the way the stay began. I would recommend the hotel to others, but notify them of our incident.
Great location, good entertainment both during the day and in the evening, great for kids. Too many steps especially if you had a pushchair and did not get a room at ground level. Not enough tables & chairs for the evening entertainment also the "normal" towels on all the sun-loungers by 7am!!
Great location. The entertainment was great for children, both during day and evening. Food & drink offered was good, preferred the fish to the meat dishes. If you have a pushchair not many rooms with easy access, too many steps and not enough ramps . Also room service was not consistent, had to chase for towels, soap toilet paper. Opening times of restaurant at lunch & diner too short especially at busy times, hard to get a table.
Location to Portinax, easy access to beach. Very limited and repetitive food choices. Hotel is better for families - too many children for adults to use the pools.
Setting is lovely, choice and quality of food and drinks outstanding. An excellent place to chill out there is nothing that i did not like
We thought the food, drink, service, staff, pool were excellent We thought the room was fairly basic
All inclusive includes alcoholic drinks, location is superb, food is excellent. Must bring own poolside/beach towels?!?! No daily shampoo or soap (once a week) ?!?! Location is isolated with respect to _everything_ in Ibiza, so transport is hard and expensive, to anywhere.
The food was very good and plentiful. The best part was the entertainments team, they worked hard all day and night. The shows were great, a bit cheesy, but were lots of fun for adults and kids the door didn't lock properly to the accomodation and would open when locked with a bit of force. Told reception who said this was normal???? Hotel is some distance from portinax town the walk into town is all downhill which isn't too bad but then you have to climb back up. pool areas are small and beds are on top of one another, the small pool is the best not too busy. The beach would be great if it had some sand on it.
The staff went the extra mile for us. Personal greeting from the owners to advising on restaurants and arranging a day trip. It's a peaceful hotel with good facilities; swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, gym, lounge with TV & internet. It was mostly used by 30 something couples looking to take it easy. Breakfast is on the terrace overlooking the hills and the sea in the distance. Beautiful.
i have just returned from a weeks stay at the apartmentos paradise beach and i have to say i was very pleasantly surprised. first impressions of the out side of the front of the building weren't great there is currently a disused room at the front and the sign could do with being re painted. this was however a classic case of don't judge a book by its cover. the hotel is immaculate, even down to the man who sweeps up pine needles everyday from the pool areas and walkways. the food was adequate and plentiful. if you pay 3* prices and expect anything other than 3* food then you may be a little disappointed. that said there was plenty of variation and all of our party of somewhat fussy eaters were able to find something they liked every meal.
The food was excellent we recommend all inclusive. The room was big and was having possibility for 4 beds. The room seem to be fresh renovated. The minibar was pretty big but you don't need it if you have all inclusive. All the rooms are having balcony and view to the pools/sea. It is close to sea. The pools are nice. The location is not so good: the area is isolated so a car would be recommended and also all inclusive. There are some pipes which are going trough the room(not visible) which are having no soundproof so they can be annoying. The safe is 2.5Eu/day.They don't provide shampoo. They have less hair driers then the numbers of the room, we got one only 2 days B4 departure. The WI-FI internet connection was free but is available only in the lobby. The room is cleaned only each 2 days. The water in the pools was colder then the water of the sea; they should warm the water at least in the children pool in September. The time schedule of the meals didn't fit so much with our options. The after midnight entertainment was to noisy and it disturbed our sleep
The reception staff were excellent and has prepares food for our arrival as we arrived after midnight The entire hotel was focused on the german guests, the signs were german the entertainment and music was german the food selection was mainly german and as is typical te german guests dominated the pool area with their towels by 7 each morning and then dissapered untill 10
Location. Views and proximity to natural surroundings. Limited utensils for self catering. ie. no plates/bowels, adequate cutlery, no toaster, kettle despite having a cooker.
I choose this hotel despite having no reviews for its location and I was not disappointed. The studios are roomy and immaculate with large terraces and lovely sea and pool views. I went on fully inclusive and found the food very acceptable - excellent breakfast and the beach bar served snacks throughout the day. The pools were excellent particually the top one - an ideal depth for 7 year olds and quieter. The hotel is predomently German but a few English were there independantly and I travelled with my 7year old daughter on my own and was made to feel very welcome and felt very safe. The entertainment was on the whole good if a little cheesy- but it was only a ten minute stroll to the main square of Portinatx. The desserts could be improved but their was always a selection of fresh fruit and ice-creams so I wouldn't let it put you off and feel it is good value for money - I never bought a meal out and a basic picnic was offered for excursions.
