The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful. The lobby of building I was dirty and smelled, especially in the morning with the large collection of garbage bags outside the elevator. Not a nice sight.
The room was/is very plain, and "bare bones". The kitchen equipment was rag-tag, and could have included a small amount of dish soap and a small sponge (even for €0.50).

The free car park.
The hotel building in very old and badly taken care of. The staff is unefficient by European standards and like pretty much everything in Portugal it is rather slow.

The hotel provides the space for a pleasant time in Portimão. The room was perfectly clean and it was rather spacious.
The location is not perfect and requires to use the hotel courtesy bus to go to the beach or to the town centre, unless you have your own transport.

“The reception entrance was very pleasant and the pool area was nice. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, light and airy. The hotel was conveniently located to explore using the car. It wasn’t that far to walk and there is a path that takes you down beside an old football pitch which keeps you away from the main road.”
