Location was excellent being close to three metro stations just off the tourist bus route and it was very close to the town hall. Free wifi was great. Staff were friendly and we managed to communicate in a mix of spanish, portuguese and hand gestures. Very cheap and we booked it half an hour before we got there.
Room was very cold with no heating options available. Shower curtian was the worst ever. People allergic to stairs should go elsewhere. Room also smelt a bit musty (and old cigarettte smoke perhaps).

The bathroom shower was small and there was not enough toilet paper stocked in the bathroom.

Pensao Grande Oceano is a family run business,staff is very helpful and friendly, eveything I need I was promptly helped by Joaquim and Lourdes. The location is good it's just out of the historical center, very safe and quiet area with lots of options for shopping and eating, the rooms we had were spotless clean, good sized, double glazing. It was a very pleasant stay.

“So I actually can´t say what the guest house is like because when we arrived the receptionist told us that he heating was damaged and that we would have to go to another place. But actually that was the reason I rated the house so good because the man was so friendly and they booked a very good hotel for us just next to the guest house (I think it costed them more than we payed) and everything was perfectly organised so we had a great stay in Porto, thanks to the responsable treatment of the Oceano Guest House. to be recommended because they care for their guests!”
