Staff was incredibly helpful. One of our group needed a taxi at 5am and we speak almost no Portuguese. At 5am a taxi was waiting for us. Amigo Jose was incredibly accommodating.
A little outside of the center. For us that was fine, but some might not like to walk as much as we do.

-Excellent reception, a family owned and operated hotel, with a very personal attention, they even helped calling the airport about a missing bag, the cleanliness better than in a 5-star hotel, and a good breakfast.

The hotel is very nice, very very clean, and wifi is free. The personnel reception is very welcoming. José, we have to thank you for your smile and your advices
The hotel is near a bus stop (frequent), but a little far from metro stations. However, the tickets cost 1.5 euros, which makes it a little expensive to travel to the city center. Heating was a little slow in the room.

I chose this residencial because of the other comments and the proximity of my friends' appartment. Indeed, José is very helpful, the hotel is nice and comfortable and the breakfast is simple but good. A solid choice.
As for me, I needed to be around the Paranhos area. But for people visiting Porto it's not the closest hotel to the centre.

“Ok, for the price. There are grocery stores nearby and restaurants. It is off the main roads so it is quiet in the room. About 30min walking to the city center. The owners seem nice although and helpful.”
“The receptionist was very good, but the place was stinky and unplesant. On the other side, we knew what we were looking for, so that was the good option for us for that amount of Money. One word - Cheap.”
