Location was perfect, character & ambiance of hotel is lovely, and rooms were in wonderful shape (paint, new floors, very clean). Everything seemed fresh and new while maintaining what felt like the history of the original building. The Staff is amazing - welcoming, cheerful, helpful, and fun. Very accommodating. The free local phone/tablet that is provided to residents is a great perk and so helpful when navigating the city! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Only a few things were negatives at the property: very limited storage in room, uncomfortable pillows & very hard bed. There was not enough storage room for two suitcases (we had two small roll-on suitcases) and with only one narrow drawer - not enough space for clothing for both my husband and I, so most remained in our cases. The pillows in our room were lumpy, broken down and uncomfortable. To be honest, we didn’t ask for different ones as we figured they were all the same, but better pillows would be great. Finally, the beds are very hard - a mattress topper to make them a tad softer & would be helpful.
The location was great.
The room was smelly, dark and had no view. The staff members who checked us in and checked us out were very nice. The staff member we talked to about our room was sarcastic and made us feel like we were a pain in the neck.
The location was excellent, just a two minute walk from the Ribeira and a range of lovely restaurants. Breakfast was very good. Staff were so friendly and helpful they made our stay very pleasant.
The staff were a standout, from the first checkin with their explanations to the final parting gift. Breakfast had everything and to be able to return during the day for a coffee and pastry was delightful.
Not a thing, set a very high standard
The staff and facilities were fantastic. Even the emails before arrival were great! Would recommend!
