Nice and big room, very nice view Breakfast very scarse with dry bread and slow service. Price rel. high for late season.
Unbelievable view! Very friendly/accomodating staff. If you want to get outside of town and relax; this is your hotel. Very close to the beach. Close enough to the city. Breakfast was simple, could have used a fruit cocktail for variety.
Location. Fantastic overlook at the bay of Portonovo. To high price.
Extremely helpful staff; half board provided good choices, superb food & low price. Attractive & well maintained.
Location and comfort None
For a single room it was better than I expected and the view was spectacular.
free internet, A/C, view of the sea, good free breakfast no internet in rooms, location
Free parking. Room. Location is acceptable only if you travel by car. Payable internet.
The personnel was polite and friendly. Nice breakfast. The room and especially the bath was not very clean. The room was kind of uncosy - it was large and empty and the ceiling was pretty high.
very friendly restaurant staff cost of any hotel in italy
Cleaness and staff helpfulness There is nothing to complain about the hotel has it offers an excellent price/quality ratio.
Though the menu in the restaurant was limited the food was good and the staff helpful. Breakfast was also good. With a four lane toad and a main line tailway between the hotel and the sea it could hardly be called a seaside location. Equally these features detract from claims to a good view as did the Lidl supermatket next door. We would have liked to walk into Ancona but a 4 lane road with no footpaths I would not risk with English motorists, never mind the Italians. If I had been there on business it would have been reasonable, but not on holiday.
easy car parking bit expensive for what it is
rooms cleanliness, breakfast, staff
Cleaness of the room and a very good breakfast
We stayed there one night on our way to Rome. The hotel seemed okay, but I wouldn't stay there longer than one night - it's in the middle of an industrial/commercial area. The room was clean and relatively large, breakfast was okay.
very good hotel compairing to the price, good room, good breakfast.
The hotel is right next to the highway, which is very convenient for all travellers with cars. It is easily found - right next to IKEA. Clean hotel, newly refurbished, polite staff, excellent value for money.
Fully airconditioned at all times...value for money eating at the restaurant good service friendly and spoke english which is the most important think in interaction with people. Is a must. The entrance was odd facing at the side instead at the front and took us some time to find it.........
The pool and the friendly service The restaurant was closed, but the friendly staff proposed an excellent restaurant nearby
We came off the boat from Turkey and what a welcome surprise the hotel was, excellent welcome from staff and a very delightful evening meal in their restuarant. A shame we were too late to use the pool. Could not find any fault with this hotel adn would recomend to others
Close to motorway, easy to find. Beds comfortable. Breakfast abbondant although we had to eat in the foyer because there were not enough tables in the dining room for all the guests ( I believe the hotel was at capacity). Not sure where the four stars came from. can't say the room was extremely clean and you needed a book to read while waiting for the hot water to arrive for the shower.
The hotel restaurant serves real good authentic Italian dishes.
Beautiful location on a hill overlooking the sea. Very convenient position to take a ferry in Ancona. Rooms with sea view are somewhat noisy. Shut the window and switch on air conditioning is necessary
Easy to find location, outlook on the harbour Room 127 very tiny ugly and not very well cleaned. I arrived at 1 a.m. very tired to call the staff and claim or ask to change room. At checkout staff did not say neither thanks nor goodbay.
No charge parking
The hotel has a lovely view over the harbour. The breakfast dining area is pleasant. The staff were very friendly The hotel bedrooms desperately need to be upgraded. The basin had two cracks in it. The shower unit was tacky. The shutter tapes are nearly coming off the wall. The rooms are pokey
It is not walking distance from the hotel and walk on the hill was very tiering with the luggage
Location (quiet, close to city center, close to ferry departures) Poor road signals
Excellent restaurant and in the center of city Internet expensive, did not work properly and not convenienent linked to TV. Could not connect portable DVD to TV for children entertainment
I was shure it is hotel. But it is motel. It is not easy to get this hotel without a car.
We particularly enjoyed the friendly staff and as we met our friends here from London had an excellent stay here. Internet charges exorbitant. We have been traveling for 4 weeks around Italy and to pay E20 for one hour is certainly avbout 4 times more than we have paid anywhere else! Probably needs some minor upgrades to decor.
Beautiful sea view. Ideal location to take a ferry from Ancona. Rooms with sea view are somewhat noisy. Shut the window and switch on the air conditioning is necessary.
Cleanliness of the hotel, staff, general good atmosphere Very dissapointed that we did not know that the hotel only served breakfast, we had to go else where for lunch/dinner/supper,Very unsatisfactory for a 4 star.If we had known in advance we would not have stayed there.
Brilliant service, attention to details from staff, cleanliness, very good choice at breakfast, enjoyed the pool. Would have loved to stay longer...;-)
The Grand Hotel Passetto is a lovely hotel in a residential neighborhood a few miles outside of Ancona's business district. It is well worth the taxi fare since Ancona's business district is not terribly attractive and has few(if any) desirable hotels. The Passetto is an attractive building across the street from a park that overlooks the Adriatic Sea. The facility is very well maintained and the staff very helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The hotel does not have its own restaurant but recommended one across the street where I enjoyed one of the best dinners I have ever had---and I have been in virtually every significant city and town in Italy. The Grand Passestto is the place to be in Ancona.
Panoramic sea view and short walk to city centre. Good restaurant opposite hotel.
Because it wasn't the "season" they did not have the air conditioning on but it was on in the lobby. We stayed there May 22. Regardless, we are the customer and wanted the AC on in our room.
location, courteous staff who were very good at providing information, pleasant surroundings, comfortable room with balcony overlooking Adriatic The lack of a proper bar was the only thing I would criticise; we were also under the impression that it had gym facilities
The rooms are lovely with large balconies as well. Walk across the road to the sea front.
Good quality of hotel No Wifi in hotel
The view from this hotel is beautiful! The rooms have french doors that open out onto a balcony. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here.
The hotel was beautiful, the room was spacious and clean and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful Not a thing
Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful
Nice and quiet room. Better breakfast
Interconnecting rooms were excellent for a family. Staff were pleasant, spoke English fairly well. Buffet breakfast was fine and unlimited, and open for 3 hours each morning.. No restaurant and only one local place to eat. You need to be prepared to travel to Ancona for food.
Very clean and quiet Located a ways from the train station
Ease of checkin/checkout. Politeness and courtesy at front desk.Cleanliness and housekeeping in the room. No room service and no facility to make a cup of coffee on rising from bed. No hot breakfast. The lack of a restuarant in the room was offset by restuarant closeby.
Easy to find, quiet place, clean and comfortable rooms, free parking, even you can find places only if you arrive in the afternoon... No WI-FI at the second floor and the front desk receptionist says "maybe there are too many users at the same time..."
possibility to check out at 3 o'clock, to use internet for free, to have the car parked by the staff, to have cookies in the room at arriving and cookies in the lobby at any time. old and not very beautifully arranged, the colours, the floors, etc.
Lovely lady on reception - extremely helpful at all times and secured our room until very late the following afternoon (at no extra cost) as we were taking a ship from Ancona to Turkey that evening. Excellent service thank you.
The staff were extremely helpful and the location very good.
a real pleasure
I chose this hotel for it#s proxiomity to the port of Ancona. The breakfast was good. The bathroom was incredibly antiquated - the shower and plumbing were not good and there was a lot of noise from unruly guests during the night. There were no real facilities except for the secure parking.
Very pleasent place to stay and convenient to ferries. Great breakfast room atop the hotel.
It was a life saver to have staff that spoke English. The hotel itself was beautiful and worth every penny.
Gentelman at the reception extremetly helpfull.
I thought that the hotel were fully justified in using the descriptor Grand in their title. This was a very elegant hotel with beautifully proportioned rooms and very tasteful decor. All of the staff were delightful and extremely helpful and efficient - I cannot speak too highly of them. My bathroom facilities were fine and spotlessly clean. Not only was breakfast included in the rate (and free tea and cookies available in the Lounge at all times), but also free Wifi access - and this was a high speed connection and I had no problems with the signal. No, nothing.
the hotel's nearnes to the city centre we had trouble with english channel television for most of our stay
The situation was perfect for a relaxing few days. Quiet and peaceful. in beautiful surroundings
Old convent transformed into a hotel. Rooms rather simple. Nice view and panorama from the room terraces and the breakfast room on the Conero and the seaside. Rooms somewhat simple.
beautifil view, excellent diner and wines
A beautiful, historic building in a fabulous location. Our room was simple but good and we loved the little balcony looking out over the Adriatic. It was a quiet and relaxing place and we would consider coming again, but.... The young woman at reception when we arrived was bored and impatient. We thought her rude. The meal we had in the restaurant was awful, tho the list of local wines was impressive and the service was pleasant.. The white fish was rubbery and inedible. Breakfasts were not good. The brioche on Monday morning were obviously two days old and like leather (much better the next day). The coffee was undrinkable. We decided not to eat in the hotel after our first meal...
architecture, location, friendly staff too often under a cloud from the Adriatic
The hotel was convenient for the railway station, pleasant staff, room was comfortable and basic, and the price was reasonable.
Very pleasant, helpful reception check in lady.Got me a room by 9.30am. Helpful staff. Closeness to rail station.
breakfast price could be lower
conveniently close to train station smell of smoking
it is close to the centre of train station, airport, city centre it is not so clean
The toilet was sealed with a tape assuring that it was clean, but it was very dirty. The windows did not open and the fridge was very dirty.
helpful staff, good location to Station
staff very friendly and helpful, room basic but comfortable enough, close to rail and all buses and an easy walk anyway. breakfast ok. renovations so couldn't open shutters but not a prolbem for one night. would not like this for longer period of time.
how close the hotel is to good travel links, road, rail, bus, however never take a taxi ,one price even the shortest journey 35 euro shocking, the same journey on the bus 1 euro 10 cents. the sights in the city are really good and the local bars are reasonable with food and drink no
It's near the city center. The hotel is near the railway station so you can be desturbed by the trains.
Clean and quiet, good service.
The lovely grounds (trees, bushes, flowers). Our original room had no natural daylight because of the trees and property outside the balcony, but the hotel staff were very accommodating in changing at room at our request.
Very quiet area of town Room was a bit small and was not well located
Cleanliness of room. End of season blues. Were not advised of closed swimming pool, closed dinning room, closed bar, limited breakfast. Expensive for what was available. No local information re area /transport etc.
Poor breakfast selection
very nice hotel with excellent staff the breakfast can be better
The rustic nature of the B&B with beamed ceilings and decoration was charming. The facility was very clean, quiet with wonderful views.
The locanda is used for large events i.e.for more than 100 people and is therefore very noisy. The restaurant is not open on Sunday evenings, this is not a problem but no staff are around and you cannot get anything at all to eat or drink
The staff were very friendly and we had a pleasant room. We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was absolutely tremendous. The hotel grounds are also very pretty.
Very nice , clean hotel in beautiful location, helpful service and good wine. close to many natural attractions.
Very friendly staff, spacious room, excellent view with a large balcony. Quiet location, yet close to main roads ofr access. I also appreciated the tea and coffee facilities in the room, very rare in Italy.
Staff/owner exremely helpful in all ways
