The place was very classy and the staff extremely friendly.
The pool and location of the hotel
We had to cancel our honeymoon and travel back home because of weather. We stayed here on the drive back to get some rest after a long drive. The room and staff were amazing and very helpful. They made our stay memorable. We will be returning to this hotel again when traveling through town.
Convenient to I-65, close to restaurants, shopping Key to room never worked even after repeated intervention attempts from front desk, so one person had to remain in the room at all times. Not a big del, since we were only taking a short break from the road, but should have been able to be resolved.
Non-smoking room reaked of cigarettes upon arrival. We requested another room and were told they were sold out. We were about to get a refund and try to find somewhere else to stay when the guy at the desk said he would just swap us for one of his reservations. The second room was better, but felt bad for whoever was going to show up later for the reservation.
The room was clean and comfortable. They were remodeling and furniture was stacked in the hall. We had no notice of this until check in.
Location The a/c made a popping/cracking noise all night. My daughter and myself did not get any sleep all night due to it
Great place to stay and play golf on Robert Trent Jones Trails. Can stay and play the course here and then go 30 minutes south the next day but come back to this fine hotel for the night as there are no nice hotels at the southern courses.
The room was clean and comfortable. The service in the restaurant, the Oak Tavern, was very slow. The food was good when it arrived, however. We waited at breakfast to be given a menu, etc., but we finally just left because we had waited so long.
The area where this hotel is located is beautiful, and the view from the room was great. The restaurant has great food unlike many hotels. I lost some articles by leaving them in the room. I notified the staff immediately, and I believed they dropped the ball and did not put in enough effort to find them. This was a substantial loss and the items have not been recovered.
Friendly, professional service. A very comfortable room, with a porch overlooking the fairway. A generous complimentary breakfast, served in a formal dining room. All around, an excellent stay. It was somewhat difficult to find at night, but well worth the effort!
Although hotel was filled with young softball players, my stay was peaceful in a beautiful room on the first floor. Only downside was thre ice machines were out of service. You either went to the front desk or the restaurant with ice bucket. This is a beautiful setting which provided a great 3 day stay. Front desk staff might have been a little more attentive when shoppers came back with hands full of shopping bags. Will definitely stay again.
This was a very nice hotel for the money! Our room was large with 2 queen beds per our request. Everything was very clean and seemed fairly new. The pool area was nice and the restrauant had a great view and accoustical music. It is a little off the beaten path but that's because it is on a golf course, still within 3 min. of the main strip of Pratville. This could even be a fun location for a long golf weekend with no kids :) Next time I would ask for a golf course view. Didn't ask so that's my fault.
Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. On site bar and restaraunt. Night staff was hesitant to take action when nearby guests were still having a party at 2 AM. They offered to move us to a different room. But who wants to move at 2 AM??
The hotel was exceedingly well situated for what the trip was about, which was golf. The rooms were clean and neat, the staff pleasant and easy to deal with on any request. The food and bar were easily accessed and once again the people pleasant in nature. The golf courses were superb, challenging yet fair, such that a reasonably talented golfer could enjoy themselves.
Staff was excellent in being helpful to us, food was great. N/A
Buildings were run-down, rooms were not clean, towels were dirty. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
This hotel was so nasty, I didn't even sleep under the covers. They didn't have towels, I had to go out and buy them and they had bugs. Do not stay there.
Nothing... It was nasty! TV didn't work...it was nasty!
Nothing front desk clerk was super evil...
Location and it was great for a family and price was great No towels in bathroom smell bad
The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room I booked (2 bedroom) was not available, they compensated me with 2 reg. rooms for the same price. One kitchen was fully stocked and one had nothing but a frying pan. The desk chair in one room was broken and shredded.
Hotel is gross
Good location. Comfortable bed. Good price. Late check in was difficult. Room only had 1 pillow. No breakfast.
Quiet and peaceful N/a
Nothing. No other hotels were available due to Hurricane Matthew evacuation. Tried to find somewhere else immediately after checking in but didn't have any luck. Staff gave our room key to another guest and they entered while my family was in the room. The accommodations at this hotel were deplorable. I honestly felt bad that my two little girls had to see this place let alone sleep in it. Stained couches, stained sheets, no toilet paper, no towels, endless bugs, etc. it was disgusting. STAY AWAY
no soap in rooms or towels and new owner who dont allow dogs but desk person said ok as its new policy and security guard woke us up at 2am saying to get out as dogs were not allowed told him clerk said okand he was going to call police if not out but we
It was near the interstate. Yes! It looked great in the photos but when we go there it was run down and tattered. The sheets had holes in them the curtain were shredded, the bathroom was missing towels, no toilet tissue no phone in the room. And this was the second room i moved to.
The suite was very nice and I loved the two tvs. My husband was able to watch sports and I was able to watch movies and other shows. The warm chocolate chip walnut cookies was great.
The staff were great and very helpful. The room that I booked was a king room and we were out in a regular 2 bed room. When the air came on it smelled like a dirty and mildewed filter. We also ordered in room breakfast. The food was great but it came 40 minutes later than asked.
location was best for our reason for being there. some of the staff entered our room and stole money and credit cards. staff didn't seem to care.
Staff went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Even with spring break families and millions of kids( not really) the stay was excellent. Breakfast was super and my hats off to the lady who kept food coming even with all the kids eating it as fast as possible. Was there for the Elton John concert and had a excellent time.
Super clean and walking distance to places to eat
how clean it was none
It was new-looking and spotlessly clean. The Priceline information said there was a ber in the lobby, but there was none.
The lady at the front desk was very rude.
Cleanliness, courteous staff. Air conditioning control was difficult to set. Used a valet cart to hang clothes, since the closet did not have a high hanging rod.
The staff were very helpful and kind. We ended up having to request a roll-away bed and they were able to accommodate quickly and professionally. We had a corner room with a lot of windows. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was free and had a decent selection of foods. They charge $10 for valet parking, but we were able to find free street parking close to the hotel. The hotel is around the corner from a number of interesting bars and restaurants.
Very friendly staff - big room - wonderful beds and the best free breakfast, with the friendliest person my wife and I have met in the morning on the many hotels we have stayed in.
This place was very nice. If you like history, staying in something more authentic, this is the place. It's an old building that used to be the Grayson and has been modernized with still some old touches on the inside. We had a great room with a view of the riverfront on one side and on the other a beautiful Greek Revival church. We were on the top floor and were able to sleep with the curtains open. However, there are a few you oughta knows: there was not a fridge in our room. Maybe we could have requested one, but it didn't become an issue until we came back to the room w/leftovers. Also, there's not a tub, only a shower. Wouldn't be an issue, but there was only two small shelves to put all my stuff (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) and no where to set my foot when shaving. This won't stop us from staying there again though if we decide to travel or are passing through Montgomery. Great place!
We had a wonderful stay. Clean comfortable rooms. Parking was a bit of a nightmare. We ended up having to pay for valet parking in order to get our car parked. Parking
Nighttime staff were exceptional
The Hampton Inn Downtown Montgomery is an old hotels from the golden era that has been beautifully renovated and updated without doing away with the beauty and charm of a classic hotel. There is a double staircase in the lobby that leads to a balcony that surrounds the lobby on the second floor. The elevators still have the large dials over the doors with a needle that indicates the floor the elevator is on. Just a beautiful place to stay. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean and decorated very nicely. They also have a fantastic free breakfast bar with hot food. Nothing! Absolutely nothing to complain about.
Spacious, well-appointed room Great free breakfast Downtown Historic property Nothing!
Great place to stay
Comfy beds, kitchenette, sitting area, hot breakfast, near restaurants and shops, convenient to interstate. Can't beat it for the price. Only issue we had was the key cards didn't work and we have to go get them re-coded a few times. No big deal.
Clean room, friendly staff and nice area.
Interior of rooms was very nice, updated, and clean. Bed was comfortable. I felt that it was a very good price for how nice the room was. I have stayed at $200 a night places that were not as clean as this Baymont. Air conditioner was off when we arrived, so it was over 85 degrees in the room, and it took about an hour to get it comfortable. Breakfast not very good but we did not stay here for the food. Neighbors were loud and we could hear every word of their conversations until 3am
The room was clean. Breakfast was ok. The staff was very helpful. They were very accommodating ro extend us an hr due to us running late checking out. The fan to the air conditioning unit did not work properly. You could not adjust the room to a comfortable temp amd the room was a bit noisey between the refrigerator and the clicks from the ac unit.
Good quality room, breakfast was very good. Clean facilities. Had to pay for parking. Ridiculous to pay that much for room and still have to pay additional fee's to park.
Great location and great breakfast. Staff handled complaints quickly.. Mold behind nightstand in our first room. Switched to another room, and it was still really humid. $10 to park. Glass shower with no door spray water all over the bathroom.
RIGHT NEXT TO BALL PARK THE BUGS IN ROOM
The room was spacious and comfortable. The lobby area very nice. I didn't like having to pay $10 or $15 extra to park. My reservation with Kayak said parking would cost only $5 a day. I don't think it should have cost anything. Also, the linen on one of the beds was stained.
The staff was incredibly friendly and sweet with my 2 year old son. The breakfast was fun and had tons of options, we loved it. Our room was dirty. I had to look for one of my son's toys and therefore I inspected it thoroughly...under the bed was gross as was in the couch cushions and there was grime on the floor. There were cigarette burns in the couch. The pool was freezing. The hot tub was not properly treated and smelled like body odor and sweat (honestly, it was gross. we got out after a couple minutes and went back to the room to take HOT showers, then spent the next few hours hoping we didn't get skin rashes). The parking lot was full and I had to park across the street in a scary lot a block away and then run back to the hotel at night. Luckily I was told this by another hotel guest who had just found this out on his own. Once I returned I had to get the money I paid for parking refunded...so stupid and the whole process took forever. Overall not run well, totally ruined my trust in Embassy Suites always being a safe bet when we travel.
This is a great location on the river right next to the Entertainment district had to call for maintenance for AC to get fixed first night, it drips from the air return into the room leaving the carpet wet below. The carpet was worn and ragged in this spot. Paint was peeling in the bathroom ceiling, cleaning staff didn't touch room after first night or leave fresh towels. Front desk wa responsive with issues, but these are things that shouldn't happen
Large and delicious free breakfast, friendly and accommodate night staff. Nice indoor pool. A few ants and the water wasn't Crystal clear, but it felt clean and safe. Also had a nice hit tub. Room was very spacious with a wet bar. Room was very damp feeling. Bathroom was clean butworn.
Nice room. Everything was very clean and the service was great. Had an enjoyable stay here.
Nice size rooms Staff wasn't very friendly at the front desk!!
breakfast closes too early, time should be extended
Spacious rooms. Clean. Close proximity to all things Montgomery. Safe. Needed an iron that worked and never received a new one.
desk person was very accommodating. room was clean and updated. no odors or mildew..AC worked great...TV had plenty of channels..The bed was harder then Im use to but it slept well. pool looked clean but didnt get a chance to go in. all was what I expected

Location Too small
Service was excellent Rooms are abit small, basically a hotel room with a kitchen thrown in. However, it is workable.

clean, location and price had two full beds and not a king
Nice area, quiet and safe. Not right on interstate exit but close enough to be convenient. Checkin not as smooth as most. Out of sync.
The location!!!! The staff was rude, our room was not clean nor did they come clean it our entire stay. We had to purchase our own towels and pillows and the air didn't work
Price Bad plumbing, No daily housekeeping service, No staff available when needed.
I like everything about I. Really enjoyed my stay. There was not anything I didn't like.
Nothing Most everything
