When you stay at Grand Lake Resort in Presque Isle, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Lake Huron and Grand Lake. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very accommodating for last minute booking. Allowed us to check in several hours early. Very friendly and hospitable. Great time had by us and the grandbabies.
Pros: Gorgeous yard area to view Grand Lake. Pet friendly. Very relaxing.
Pros: We loved how close it was to the lake! It is absolutely beautiful there! They had games we could play and a nice sitting area by the water. The owner was super nice. We would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The only thing my family and I didn't like were the beds. They were hard and very uncomfortable.
Pros: To begin, the owners were fantastic. Within minutes we felt like we knew them a long time. Our room was quaint and nothing short of fantastic. The morning view of Grand Lake was spectacular. Overall, very great experience and you wouldn't go wrong staying here.
Cons: Nothing at all. All positive.
Pros: Beautiful view and grounds
Cons: No fridge in room. Room was clean but needs update. I would remove carpet.
Pros: Staff, cleanliness, location, value.
Cons: Could have used more towels and clarification that "double" in the on-line description meant one double bed. Usually, double means two beds.
Pros: Older property, but well maintained. Beautiful lakefront setting.
Cons: Bed was too soft for my liking.
Pros: Quite & peaceful location . Safe for kids my boys 8 & 5 yrs had lots of fun .
Pros: Very safe, peaceful resort with a nice and relaxing lake view. Grounds are maintained. Close to lighthouses, beaches, parks and other places of traveler interest. McDonalds, Subway, restaurants, bakeries, markets just minutes away. Nice clubhouse on property with kitchen area including 2 refrigerator/freezers, board games, puzzles, books, theater sized tv w/DVD player, lots of assorted seating. LOVE the outdoor amenities of fire pit, hammock, grills, huge sandbox, outdoor recreational games/toys, walkout pier and lots of picnic tables, outdoor seating. Once you park; in very close proximity there is a generous ice machine and small courtesy pull wagon for unloading your belongings from vehicle to room. Appreciate the WiFi (though slow). Coffee maker and ice bucket provided. The best parts of this affordable resort are the maintained grounds, lake access/view, provided outdoor amenities, furnished clubhouse and property proximity to points of interest.
Cons: Room furnishings are VERY outdated. Beds are SO uncomfortable. Lamps, chair in room, bedspread are uninviting. Despite a dehumidifier and air conditioning unit, the room had a VERY unpleasant stale, musty odor. We opened the door, windows and even bought air freshener spray but still the odor prevailed. Towels, bedding and pillows didn’t look freshly laundered. Permanent stains on the towels and sheets, pillowcase simply looked used/old. Shower curtain should be replaced. Soiled, stained at the bottom as too long. Toiletries shouldn’t even be provided considering the poor quality of soap and shampoo/conditioner. Lots of dead bugs in window sills. I would definitely give this resort another chance. I just hope the review prompts necessary change before my next visit.
Pros: Beds were super comfortable and the view was gorgeous!
