Pros: The property is an oasis; everything works well, gastronomy, accommodation, service. Beautiful garden and pool open till 9pm (exceptional). Included breakfast is fresh and complete. Cottages are comfy and pintoresque. Definitely a little amazonic paradise with international standards

Pros: The facilities and staff are wonderful. Manish is a peaceful retreat away from the busy and noisy city of Pucallpa, allowing you to relax in its beautiful outdoor gardens, pristine pool, and spa. The restaurant prepares great food and offers a varied a la carte complimentary breakfast with your stay.

Pros: The grounds are beautiful. Great service at the restaurant and nice pool.

Cons: Front desk staff isn’t very well trained. Restaurant staff is excellent. Receptionist need to receive more training.

Pros: Location is quiet and halfway point between airport and town centre. Gardens are lovely and well tended.

Pros: I loved nearly everything about Manish! The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was fantastic and the servers were very kind about all my meals being specially prepared to accommodate my dieta restrictions. The property is peaceful and beautiful, and very convenient to the rest of Pucallpa and Yarinacocha.

Cons: The WiFi only worked in my room for 1 day of my 4-day stay. For 2 days I was unable to access WiFi unless I was at the pool or in the lobby, and on the other day the was no WiFi anywhere on the property. The staff was apologetic and kind about it, but it was inconvenient to have to find another place to work and communicate with people back home.

Pros: The team from bar and restaurant are the best. To mention only a few as Oscar, Billy, Patricia and Napoleon. They are the best.

Cons: Shower curtain did not hold water from spilling out. There is no mentioned anywhere that they have shuttle service. After you have the welcome drink it does not call to repeat it... I guess that is not the idea of yhe WD. Pisco sour was really awful and it was a shot glass size...

Cons: While the hotel's booking.com profile says the staff speak Spanish and English, not one person at the front desk could speak English, meaning charades and google translate to communicate. This was the story morning, afternoon and evening. However, for us the biggest turn-off was the restaurant. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7:00, but most food is not out until about 7:15 - making it tight if you need to be somewhere early. The table linens were not automatically changed when dirty or stained. I noticed on the one and only night we went for supper there that there was hair and crumbs on the tablecloth from a previous guest. I brushed them off, then left a few crumbs beside my plate as a test, and when we went for breakfast the next morning they were still there. On the same night I noticed that a dirty serving spoon still sat under one of the warming trays, possibly still from breakfast. My wife and I both ordered a sandwich, but rather than serve them at the same time they served hers, while I had to wait ten minutes for mine. The waitress could not speak English and I cannot speak Spanish so I simply went to the cooler inside the dining room to select a beer rather than try to ask what kinds were available, but she did not bring a glass until I signaled with the motions of pouring about ten minutes later. The restaurant experience is further ruined by a TV that is set at an excessively loud sound volume.

Pros: Situated in plaza de armas, big and clean rooms, tasty breakfast and very nice stuff. They did my check in at 7 oclock in the morning and they let me stay on my check out day until 4 pm in the room coz I had a fly in the evening and all that for free.

Pros: Location.

Cons: Staff not friendly enought. Pillows are uncomfortable. Rooms dont have hot drinking water facilities.

Pros: breakfast was ok, but definitely not 5 star. they didn´t fill up the buffet. what was gone was gone. location is great! 3 min walking to plaza de armas.

Cons: As I arrived I had to discuss 10 minutes because the staff didn´t want to give me the price I booked on booking. I know that 5 star category is something different in europe and Peru. But I have stayed in better places, that had 3 stars. In Peru. The furniture was really old and partly broken, the room hat a window to a hallway where all the air conditioning machines were fixed. Although I didnt use mine, the one of the room next door was loud enough to really be annoying. At least the room was clean, although in really bad shape, also the shower and sink. Definitely not worth 33€! you can find better hostels for 12€. Highly dissappointed and kinda confused about the good rating here.

Pros: Un lugar maravilloso! You are going to feel at home frome the first minute... The mangaer Richard and his wife will make everything to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are comfortable with a private bath. They have terraces with hammocks and tables. You can also you the shared kitchen. I honestly recommend Sol de Mayo for your stay in Pucallpa. I learned a lot about Pucallpa and their traditions from Richard. The place is a little bit outside of the chaotic center so perfect to relax and rest. I also got to know other travelers that were here for the same reason. You will find everything you are looking for :)

Pros: Really nice relaxing place with beautiful garden. I felt comfortable since arrival. Nice and quiet spot for calming down and to relax. I defenetly can recomend this place

Pros: Cacilda and Richard are life lovely and super helpful. They went out of their way to help me. The place is quiet and removed from the bustle of town. Super homey with 3 sweet house cats and 3 sweet house dogs.

Pros: The property was super nice and relaxing. Many plants and manny places with hammocks to relax. The owner provides free tee and water for the hosts and the whole family is really friendly and helped us with any requirement or information needed.

Pros: The owner Richardo and his wife were so lovely and helpful!! I was sick the first night I got there and they made me a hot drink with some of the plants in the garden and were very caring. The back yard was a beautiful place to hang out with all the nature and the hammocks.

Pros: Closer to the airport, has a good lounge area to sit around and read/write. The person at the reception was very helpful. Good place to hault at when you have an early morning flight the next day. Good value for money.

Cons: You need to pay by cash only.

Pros: For anyone considering staying at Sol de Mayo- do not hesitate! Richard and his wife are amazingly kind, warm, and hospitable people. The place is nice, clean, and green. Incredible value for money. I`ve also had breakfast there, which was, without a doubt, some of the tastiest food I`ve tried in quite some time. Also, if you need any assistance, Richard would not only do anything he can to help you but will also make sure that you`d get a fair price. I really do not need to oversell the place- just go there and see for yourself!

Cons: Just some suggestions: -The room was clean but not totally (we found women staff under the bed) - The furniture could be better organized to have more space in the room and make the wardrobe functional -Consider to Learn more about how to use booking. We booked one month in advance and the owner tried to charged more since we arrived in spite he said we need to pay at the checkout. I run accomodations and now how to manage the extranet for offer discounts //It doesn't matter is there are just 2 guests at the moment you need to respect the price that was not so cheap anyway - The breakfast can improve being a 3stars hotel. - it is necessary some posters with instructions like breakfast schedule, checkin and out, rules in general. - We miss a restaurant and satelital channels

Pros: The food was amazing and the staff was so incredibly helpful.

Cons: Hot water in the shower would have been nice, but no fault to them. It's not common there.

Cons: The service is terrible! They claimed that airport transfer was included, however, when arriving they didn’t respond to my message asking to pick me up. And worse, when leaving, they told me the transfer was included (despite the early hour, which I explicitly asked), but suddenly I had to pay 20 soles when arriving at the airport. When calling the front desk to sort things out , they told me it was my own problem and that I just had to pay. Very dissatisfied!

Pros: Very friendly staff. Nice facility, great location, you get transportation right-away. You are 20 minutes walking from one of the main malls of the city, and S$3 ($1.20 CAD) on motorcar to get to the mall. And S$5 ($2 CAD) to get to downtown. 10 minutes away from the airport. Very secure neighbourhood, and secure facility. The food is delicious and affordable at the in house restaurant.

Cons: There's no hot water. Depending on the day, water is cold or semi warm for your shower. Not big deal since average temperature is 28 Celsius, and up. Noisy, but that's Mother nature, parrots, dogs, frogs, etc.

Cons: Very noisy at night, not sure if this is always the case but the two nights I stayed here there was very loud music in the neighbourhood, sounded like some sort of concert, until 3 in the morning. Not many stores or restaurants in the direct neighbourhood.

Pros: It was nice to have a free ride from the airport to the hotel. Our room was quiet, on a walking distance from the plaza de armas , mercado 2 and a supermarket. We had our own bathroom and the room was cleaned every day. There was airco in the room which was great, considering the heat and mosquitos.

Cons: There was a defect from the shower and water was leaking on the floor. It was a temporary defect. Perhaps a common area where we could relax would have been nice as well.

Pros: The breakfasts were small. A scrambled egg with a little ham, two buns, a glass of juice and a lukewarm coffee.

Cons: When I check-out I believe I was overcharged. Instead of the $191,28 US I was charge 786 PEN which is $243,45 US. Even with daily exchange this seems excessive.

Pros: The pool is excellent and clean and enjoyable. The breakfast is excellent. Its a quiet place so that's good.

Cons: The backyard neighbour burns plastic garbage, sometimes all night, though, and 1 night we had to change rooms and leave the pool early because its suffocating and toxic. I think the hotel should call the police to stop that in the future. Its very good but the air conditioner was very old and loud so it couldn't be used for sleeping. It was so hot even with the fan it was hard to sleep.

Pros: The beds are really comfy, good breakfast: they even serve it on bed, a fan that keeps the rooms kind a cool, good value for money.

Cons: You can hear everything your neighbors say/do. Because of the dogstore the people run downstairs, you hear dogs barking all the time.

Pros: I got warmly welcome by Juan and his wife when I arrived very tired. Throughout my stay Juan helped me with everything I asked and even invited me dinner by his wife. The room was great for what you payed for and all the facilities worked as expected.

Pros: The place is located at Yarinacocha lake's shore. I when during rainy season, the access was flooded. You need to take a small boat from the end of malecón for 2 soles to get there. Food is great, the view at the sunset is the best! Staff is friendly and helps you moving around the lake.

Cons: I expected a rustic house into the woods. In the pictures really the place looks awesome, once you're there you find a dusty old wooden house. I think is a bit overpriced considering other prices in Pucallpa city. The worst thing was the annoying laud noise of motor boats early in the morning. If you think birds would wake you up, nope, motor will do.

Pros: Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. A fridge full of cold beer. Big rooms. You can see river dolphins from the restaurant area.

Cons: I think people are being put off by the building of the new promenade over to one side but it's not noisy as not many people seem to be doing not much to build it.

Pros: Lovely setting right on the lake. Unfortunately there are extensive building works atm so not the peaceful place I’m sure it is without that. It’s clean and the staff are lovely. The breakfast was lovely and tailored to your likes/dislikes - they basically asked me what I wanted and then provided it !

Cons: The wifi was pretty bad. There was no hot water. Both those things I would expect in this price range. I splashed out as a treat for myself but really paying 4x what I normally do did not get me a much more than the budget end of the range.
