One Love Hostal Puerto Escondido - Puerto Escondido - Building

9.6 Excellent (476 reviews)
Overview Reviews
One Love Hostal Puerto Escondido offers a place with a mixture of rustic and Mexican-style decoration only 150 metres from Zicatela Beach. It has an outdoor pool, restaurant and a bar. The dormitories and bungalows have thatched roofs and are decorated with hand-painted portraits of famous artists. Wooden furniture decorates them, and the bathrooms are simple and modern. Guests will have the opportunity to taste fresh seafood prepared in Zicatela and Puerto Escondido. These towns feature a variety of spots where guests will find seafood and Mexican dishes. At One Love Hostal Puerto Escondido you will find a garden, a tour desk and laundry facilities. Puerto Escondido town centre can be reached in a short 5-minute drive, while Carrizalillo Beach is 5.8 km away. Puerto Escondido International Airport is less than 15 minutes’ drive away.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was awesome
Cons: The beds are to hard
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean place with absolutly nice staff. It was very quite, which we enjoyed. The nice rooftop terrace is a nice hangout at the evening and the restaurant serves delicious food. Location was perfect for us, since it is two minutes from the beach. If you want to go to La Punta it is a ten minute walk.
Cons: The mattress might was a bit old and not as comfortable. Kitchen was wekl equipped but only had two pots.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located next to the beach in the quite area of the town. Perfect for yoga treatment and some relaxing days. The owner and the staff were super helpful and amazing. Would strongly recommend this place.
Cons: I dont know.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great as it's quiet with lots of greenery between the bungalows for privacy; close enough to walk to the action at La Punta, or to get a bus to another playa. Breakfasts were so huge! Bathroom and shower was roomy and water pressure awesome. Windows open with screens, so nice cross ventilation. Hammock on porch was well used. Staff were helpful.
Cons: Would really have liked bedside lamps on the bedside tables.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: - Location is fairly close to the two most interesting parts of the city. - Clean. - Good food and drink options available. - Cabanas each have four beds in them and are big enough that they don't feel cramped. The beds are quite comfortable. - Hammocks
Cons: - While it's not too far to either La Punta and Zicatela, it's not that close to either one. Nothing is too far away, but you're in a bit of a dead zone at the hostel. - Not very social at all. My dorm mates and I all noticed that no one really talked to each other or socialized. - Noisy in the mornings. Not necessarily the hostel's fault, but between roosters, barking dogs, construction work, and other miscellaneous sounds (some man was giving a loud speech in Spanish this morning?) it's very difficult to get some decent rest past 7am. - Very poorly thought out in some ways. No outlets by the beds, and only four outlets total for a four person room, two of which were not near any flat surface so they were basically unusable. Also, just one tiny little shelf in the shower being shared by four people. - No liquid soap in the bathroom - shared bar soap is disgusting! - Aside from the bar, which rarely had people in it, there's nowhere to be social or congregate. They have a great terrace, but it's mostly just open and empty; all the chairs are crammed into a corner, and there is a pile of mattresses (maybe for yoga?) and a few hammocks. With just a little effort, it could be a great space for socializing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: a super nice place, if you don’t want to stay directly in the party/hostel zone - but its just a short walk and you will find restaurants, bars, shops etc I really liked the bathroom!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One Love is just awesome. My partner and I stayed there for what were meant to be three nights and it turned into a week because we loved it so much. That should say enough. Do yourself a favor and go here. If you do need more convincing: The hostel is gorgeous and oriented around a peaceful, well-maintained garden (look for the hummingbirds!), the staff is really friendly, explaining everything and giving us tips about the area, and you’re across the street from the best fish tacos in Puerto Escondido. The rooms (we stayed in a private one) are clean, comfortable and equipped with mosquito nets, staff are on hand to deal with any issues you might have or arrange anything you might need (laundry? Check. Baggage storage? You betcha. Surf lessons? You got ‘em. Shower before heading to the night bus? Yup.), and you’re walking distance from all the restaurants etc. in La Punta. Chill in a hammock, cool off in the pool, walk to the beach, do a yoga class, have a drink at the bar, and come out way more relaxed than you started (at least we did).
Cons: Absolutely nothing, except that we didn’t stay there longer. Some other reviewers mentioned the lack of hot water as a negative point but it’s really not - it’s so hot in Puerto that I couldn’t have taken a warm shower if I’d wanted to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the most enjoyable place I've been in a long time! Lolo, one of the owners, is an architect and you sure notice it in many details, such as the round walls or the beautiful polished concrete floors. The whole complex incl a lovely garden and a tiny, yet refreshing pool are very well maintained. I also loved the fresh delicate food and the opportunity to practice Yoga twice a day. Check out One Love, I think you won't be disappointed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Near to surfer's Beach and nice restaurants. Super nice and beautiful hotel, comfortable design and very clean. Free coffee, kitchen for the guests, beautiful pool. Beach umbrellas available.... Best stay in Mexico in three weeks.
Cons: Nothing to complain about!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the staff were epic plus the pool and affordable drinks at hand were a great bonus. The free water, free coffee, and free sunscreen were also amazing additions!
Cons: Lack of strong wifi and a/c
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property very close to the beach in Puerto Escondido. The owners were brilliant to deal with, providing useful tips for our store. Lovely pool to cool down after hot days. Can not recommend enough.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and informative owners. Perfect location and safe. Relaxing pool and hammocks. Beautiful palms and flowers throughout. We will return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location excellent and secure. Hosting wonderful and all staff friendly, and happy to share information and advice. Very clean. Peaceful. Charming little hotel.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Considering the hotelito is part of the main drag on festive Zicatela Beach, it really is amazing how quiet, peaceful, and enchanting the place is. The owners have done a wonderful job making the hotelito charming, comfortable, and convenient. Over a few days there I began to absorb all the lovely extra touches, like playful tiles in the architecture, soothing plants and trees, illuminated mobiles hanging in various areas that glow warmly by night.
Cons: The hotelito is on Zicatela beach, where the waves are so big they are mostly for professional surfing, not casual swimming. If you walk a little distance north along the beach your reach the main bay and some other stretches of coast that offer friendlier swimming, but I seldom went to those places. Instead, I ended up spending most of my time at the far south end of Zicatela called "La Punta", where the waves were still big at times, but much more approachable for body surfing. I drove the 4km to that beach each day. I liked to, but you may not have a car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was quiet and safe, and the owners were very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location off the main drag. Very clean. Friendly people. We planned on staying 4 days and ended up staying for 10 ! Very comfortable grounds. Lovely garden and pool area. Quiet. Used the kitchen to make free coffee in the am. The song " Hotel California " kept running through my mind." You can check out anytime but you can never leave " Such a lovely place.
Cons: Cannot think of any drawbacks.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Charming property with laid back vibe.
Cons: Would have liked a mini-fridge in the room but the owners did give us access to a fridge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like very much everything, owners are really sweet people and taking care of they hotel very well. Pool was always clean, rooms too with great vibe, hot water included. I will be definitely back. Highly recommended!!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is one of the best in Zicatelas - right off the main drag, but quiet enough to not be as noisy as some others. The pool is peaceful and a great spot to relax. The owners are lovely and made sure I was well taken-care of.
Cons: Some services are a bit lacking. It would have been nice to have some food on-site, for a breakfast option. Also, I didn't see much information at the hotel on local attractions/ things to do in Pto. Escondido.
Hotel Suites La Hacienda - Puerto Escondido - Bedroom
3
9.4 Excellent (184 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Puerto Escondido (Bacocho), Hotel Suites La Hacienda is within a 10-minute walk of Carrizalillo Beach and Bacocho Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a library.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and filled with flowers and plants. The room was spacious and Mexican themed. Staff was helpful and attentive
Cons: No cable and they have Netfilx but you can only use it if you have a Netflix account yourself
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool and courtyard is fantastic, the rooms are big and have a lot of character. The host is very friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I particularly liked the architecture of the hotel and how the rooms are furnished, like an old-style hacienda, but yet with all the comfort of a modern room. The luxury and colorful garden adds a touch of beauty and tranquility to the place. The location is within walking distance to Carizalillo beach, one of the most beautiful in Puerto Escondido and a small boulevard with restaurants, terraces, small shops and even library. The hosts welcomed me very well, I got an early check-in and my room was upgraded the second night. Many thanks to Philippe, the hotel owner and Luis for welcoming me and giving me the perfect holiday experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is more cozy and beautiful than the pictures. Philip, the Owner, is in the process of remodeling rooms one by one. His vision and taste is exquisite and I was very lucky to have stayed in one of the few newly designed rooms. I loved it and looked forward to coming back to the hotel and my room specifically after a full day out and about. The location is perfect and a five minute walk to all the restaurants in the Rinconada district. It gets a five star in my opinion and I can’t wait to come back. This hotel is truly a hidden oasis and quite lovely. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is clean and refreshing. I took a room without a kitchen and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to use the staff kitchen off the reception to cook if I wanted to. It was like being in my own home away from home. I will be back and wouldn’t think of anywhere else I would want to stay!! It was very quaint and romantic and perfect for couples. I hope to bring my partner here soon! And might I also add that it was in the nice part of town and I felt very safe and secure. Thank you Suites Las Hacienda for helping to make my holiday extremely memorable. I have friends already looking to book your place for their holiday!! Jody Calgary, AB
Cons: There weren’t any concerns in that department.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cosy hotel with a nice pool and well furnished rooms.
Cons: Hours of reception are limited
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and swimming pool are located in an impressive garden. It feels like being in haven. Mrs Bernadette, the owner, took care of us with the same kind and lovely attention she dedicates to her magnificent garden. I really recommend this place and will love to go back!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and lovely pool. Conveniently located several amazing beaches, a beach club and many restaurants.
Cons: Wifi could have been stronger but this may just be the area. Also was shocked to hear from people we met at the beach that they were mugged outside our hotel. For this reason don’t carry anything valuable around after dark.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Casa losodeli is an oasis for travellers looking for a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, the staff genuinely love their job, and it shows with their thoughtful approach. It offers great value for money, with a fantastic pool and social area. It also has some of the best breakfast in town, for great prices. These people know what they are doing.
Cons: Nothing not to like.

Pros: Pool, cafeteria, friedly staff.
Cons: Electricity outages.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hostel, comfy beds, nice poolarea, great prices in general, nice staff.
Cons: No space or hooks in the showers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We actually moved to from another hostel here as we were so jealous of our friend who was staying here. The rooms are light and spacious, pool is clean and not too busy. Towels are provided and you get free coffees in the cafe next to the hostel. The food is great in the cafe and it's really well priced with the free coffees. This is a sociable place and we met lots of nice people including the staff who joined us for drinks. It's not a party hostel which suited us perfectly. There is a small bar on site which is open until around midnight but then staff ensure that after it closes people are quiet with no music so as not to disturb guests. The staff helped to arrange tours for us including the horse riding to the hot springs which I would recommend highly. All in all a great place to stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything! Super relaxed place, the rooms and pool area are gorgeous, comfortable and big beds, the shower is strong and free coffee for guests in the cafe (breakfast/food is also delicious and cheap!!). The staff are really sweet and helpful (thank you Leo!). The hostel is also just a short walk to Carazarillo Beach (go for sunset!) and the cute little cafes around it. Easy walk from the ADO station too! Loved everything about this hostel :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the atmosphere felt very cozy and inviting. Staff is very friendly as the people who stay here, good WiFi. Plus Losodeli café has the most perfect breakfast, every morning it was very tasty!
Cons: Nothing to dislike!.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Tom and the other staff were excellent at making you feel welcome and suggesting activities and outings with the other guests. This would be the perfect place for solo travellers and young people to meet new people from all over the world. The free breakfast was a nice, healthy bonus. The room was a good size and attractive with a very comfortable bed, extremely clean. The place is a short walk to a number of beaches and great restaurants. They have drinking water available and plenty of space for relaxing. Loved the pool too.
Cons: Its listed as beachfront in the search engine but its not. Checking in seemed to be a bit of a process. The bar area can be quite noisy at night til around midnight, so if you like to go to bed early, bring earplugs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a very, very beautiful hostel with a great and relaxed atmosphere. The staff is great, the guests are great, everything is great. There are fun activities going on everyday. Everything is very clean. There is a lot of space. The beaches for swimming or surfing are very close.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I booked in for 2 nights and ended up staying 10 nights in total over a 2 week period. We went on a couple of overnight trips to Mazunte & Chacahua (using advice provided by the insanely helpful Bonobo team) and always checked straight back in to Bonobo. We visited a few different hostels for party nights during our stay in Puerto Escondido and I personally think Bonobo is the best. Perfect location by good restaurants and beautiful beaches, such a nice team, chilled pool area and great nightly events make it a super social place. It was very hard to leave
Cons: I LOVED everything about this hostel
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The location of the hostel is good, you can walk to the small beaches. Breakfast was good.
Cons: It's a Partyhostal!!!!Some of the stuff was hangover and didn't payed attention on service.Bed dirty!! Room moldy and dirty. Party Place and most people talk just about drugs...so it gets smelly( room has no aircon and no fresh air+alcohol) and loud at night ...was wonder about the good recommendations!!
5.0 Okay
Pros: + It was nice that there was a security guard, also it was quiet during the night + We had the ability to cook, with reasonably clean utensils + Some of the staff members in the night were friendly
Cons: Dear darlings, We had high expectations because of the high rating score on booking.com. We are experienced travelers and we've been to other hostels with a similar rating where we had a more pleasant experience. The high rating must have more to do with the vibe between guests, rather than the facilities and services of the hostel. Overall, our stay was ok but we do have some points for attention: - Room window couldn't close, so we didn't have much privacy since the window was next to a corridor; air inside was quite sticky. I suggest to place an airconditioning system and fix the window. - smell of used toilet paper in open buckets, in the shower, I would suggest at least placing bins with a lid - no possibility to dry our bath stuff / towels after returning from the beach; hostel towels were only changed once (in 5 days) and wet all the time - concerning extra services (scooter rental specifically): the hostel staff initially seemed to make a lot of effort, but in fact we had to arrange it all ourselves. It was not possible to put the scooter inside, as the renter suggested. Also, we couldn't return the scooter key at the hostel. - breakfast was everyday the same cheap porridge, no variation. - we read that the reception was open between 8:30 and 18:00, but most of the time when we wanted to ask something, we were asked to come back later. This gave us the impression they weren't eager to help us out. - no lockers in the private room, the door lock is very cheap. - only able to pay cash, no credit cards accepted Overall, we had the feeling that there were a lot of restrictions at the hostel instead of thinking in solutions
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful and looked like a resort. The pool was always refreshing, lots of places to hang and socialize, the people this hostel attracts are down to earth, kind people. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. The staff were friendly and always helpful. There were daily events. But the best part of it all was the breakfast! Hearty porridge with fruits and nuts. A great way to start each day. Thanks for the wonderful stay.
Cons: The only thing that would have made my stay better would have been a hammock! That’s my only suggestion!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place! Cool people! And very close to the beach! And amazing breakfast :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love this place! Such a great crew working and staying there. Thanks so much for having me!

Pros: The treatment The pool The room
Cons: Everything was fine, just the location and the lighting close to the hotel was the problem, but we understand that is not problem of the hotel, besides that, everything was great
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was sparkling clean. The pool was pleasant. The beach is across the road. There's a really nice small cafe two blocks down the beach road
Cons: The washroom is shallow making for a tight fit. It's not on the Zucatella strip so there's nothing within walking distance, except the small cafe. Taxi in / taxi out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went above and beyond for our 2 night stay. We got there late and the older gentleman welcomed us and made us feel completely comfortable as soon as we got there. He even gave us a few rooms to choose from, and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was so clean. We have nothing but great compliments about this hotel. We will definitely return again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ot was tidy and clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Pridda! The location of the hotel is a short walking distance away from the busiest parts of the beach, therefore it’s very quiet. We got a very warm welcome, we even could check in before the official Check-in. We can only recommend this hotel, very clean, very nice (helpful owner), nice and spacious rooms as well!
Cons: There is nothing you can’t like!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was perfect! Clean and the the bed was very comfortable! The staf was very kinds and helpful.
Cons: Little bit far away from the main city but very close to the beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was very clean and in a great area. You can walk to the main beach break with all of the restaurants and bars. There is a little restaurant next door called Kelly’s cafe which is amazing! The staff is so friendly and even helped me order taxis because mr Spanish is a little limited. There is someone on call who speaks English that they can have find any information you want. Amazing clean place would absolutely recommend. The beds were even very comfortable!

Pros: Great facilities! The room is coozy and the commom areas are real nice
Cons: We were there for 3 days and everyday they said there were no tours for turtles liberation (which was not true - we managed to do with another hotel) One of the staff was pretty rude to us and another guest Although other people from staff was really cool and willing to help
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, nice located next to the beach. It is a short walk to the mainstreet in Puerto Escondido. Scooter rental is nearby, so if necessary you can easily rent a scooter wich you can park in the parkingarea of the hotel. Swimmingpool was so nice to dive in at the end of a hot and exhausting day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a super place to stay. The rooms are large and clean. The beds are comfortable. There is a well equipped common outdoor kitchen. All common areas are just for your relax. The ocean is just across the street. It's near to all the restaurants and bars. And really wonderful staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming, quiet and safe beach house, within a walking distance from Puerto Escondido centre (and far enough from its noise), with spacious and very clean rooms, comfortable common areas (including swimming pool, sunbeds, bar, hammocks & sofas, open-air kitchen annex, etc.) and very attentive and helpful staff. If we knew earlier that this place is so cool, we’d plan much longer stay!
7.9 Good
Pros: The near beach access, the beach view from the kitchen, the clean bedroom everyday.
Cons: The staff at la playita is not professional and enjoyful. (The young lady with dark hair was rude and never smiling.) Except the cleaning staff was very helpful and welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fresh towels everyday, clean, lovely low-key music, good kitchen facilities, well-kept garden and pool, close to some excellent restaurants but most of all I liked that the staff take pride in their work. Thank you!
Cons: No spoons or forks in the kitchen or a coffee machine or coffee making utensils for guests to use. No hooks or hangers in the room to hang clothes.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice cabanas
Cons: Very noisy neighbours. You can hear every word
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Simple rooms, nice chilled common area, pool, bar, great helpful staff.
Cons: Location didn’t feel so safe at night, booking.com showed air conditioning when there wasn’t any.
Puerto Dreams Hostel - Puerto Escondido - Bedroom
8
9.1 Excellent (309 reviews)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms and bathrooms, great rooftop bar, very good breakfast
Cons: The hostel is very much for surfer people. It can be hard to feel included if you're not in that kind of vibe. Also I had difficulties to sleep the first night as a couple came to have sex in the dorm at 1 am, and then another one at 3 am, for about 1 hour each time. It was the salsa night of the hostel so everyone got all drunk and flirty. So dont forget to take your earplugs with you.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Best hostel I've stayed in so far. The staff, the roof, the vibes, the activities, everything was just great. If you want great parties and still a lot of your day (Surfing, great Food etc.) there is no better place than Puerto Dreams Hostel! Thanks to the whole staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very kind staff and a really great price. There are also some partys if you are into celebrating. I highly recomend surfing classes with Angelo, you can book them through the hostel and I learned within 2 hours how to surf a wave. He was a great teacher and a really nice person.
7.5 Good
Pros: We were in a private room so we had our own aircon and bathroom.
Cons: It depends on what you want. If you’re a solo traveler wanting to party all day, hangover then beach it’s perfect. If you don’t, I would go somewhere else. If I was to come back to puerto dreams, I would definitely not return to this area - la Punta is way more vibes and exciting and ON the beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cool place with nice vibes. Staff super friendly and helpful, Lauren and Miguel doing fantastic job.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is really nice and chill, staff are very friendly. Located close to the market. Decent kitchen + nice roof top area
Cons: Not the best location (a bit far from the beach and the night life)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best hostel atmosphere I've ever had... feels like family. Amazing staff!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hostal with great vibes. Thanks for Natalie, Greta, Tim, Lorren and all staff. That was a pleasure to stay with you guys.

Pros: Food and staff are great
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Rooms were cleans and beds comfortable. We were concerned about a previous review mentioning ants but we had no problem as we didn't keep food in the room. Breakfast included fruit (very fresh and delicious), coffee and toast. The pool was awesome and the staff were super helpful.
Cons: - The internet connection wasn't secure (we received a warning when we logged in). When we got home, someone was trying to access our account. I would be cautious about using their internet. It made me wonder if it is a staff member as all the other places we stayed had secure internet. - On our last day, the toast served to us at breakfast was hard and stale. We wondered if another customer didn't eat it and they reserved it. - The menu at the pool has outrageous prices ($10 Canadian) for drinks so we didn't buy any. We would have liked to though as the staff were so nice. They could offer happy hour specials and align their prices with restaurants in the area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very well decorated. Staff was amazing!
Cons: Thin curtains.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very nice, modern styled hotel. Brilliant breakfast. Good service to help with buses and conexions. Very friendly stuff. A shame the weather was horrible otherwise would have stayed longer!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: I felt like I was a personal guest to Paul and Louisa. The are lovely, welcoming people. The room is great, spacious and clean with a nice balcony. There is a pool and lovely garden to relax in. Breakfast is very tastfull and mostly organic. But, as said before, to me the hosts made the real difference. I loved staying here and would recommend to everyone!
Cons: If I have to name one thing that could have been better it's the location. It's a bit further away from restaurants and beaches but you can walk and there are plenty taxis. So no real issue
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast we found Puerto Escondido - everything was fresh and organic, Paul & Louisa were always helping us arrange activities or sort our travel. Would definitely stay with them again if we return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts, very helpful with restaurant recommendations and things to do. Paul picked us up st the airport and drove us back to airport. Delicious breakfasts cooked by Betti. Would definitely return to Villa Maria. Great location, lovely place.
7.9 Good
Pros: The pool was great, the staff super friendly - gave us great suggestions on activities and were happy to organise them for us which was a plus and make sure we got to where we needed to be. Breakfast was good and room was made up neatly with fresh towels everyday. I really enjoyed the “outdoor” living aspect of the place with no windows etc. however it was sometimes quite noisy at night which made it hard to get to sleep. Really cute villa living!
Cons: It was a little further from the main town but luckily taxis were so cheap.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Best shower and small pool in Mexico
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The property has everything including a tennis court. Breakfast is great so does the comfort and cleaness of the room.
Cons: Villa Maria BnB is an outstanding property. Everything was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Owners are extremely welcoming and helpful, interesting people. Hotel well designed--a cool oasis. Comfortable rooms and balconies. Pool is a pleasure. The food and service also outstanding.
Cons: Location was further from the beach than we thought.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and friendly staff, walking distance to the waves of zicatela, clean and comfortable, chilled vibe
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool and the top terrace was my favourite Fans in the room (recommend the single bed, not bunk bed if you can get it in the dorm, cooler as it is more open) good kitchen, lots of hammocks
Cons: Wifi sometimes didn't work so well took a while for someone to open the door on arrival, but they give you a key on check in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the curtains on the bed for added privacy. Staff was really accommodating. I only got to spend one night at casa daikiri but the atmosphere seemed really relaxed and welcoming.
Cons: Can't think of anything!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good rooms and cleanliness. Not a bad location if you want this beach (not a beach for swimming)
Cons: Staff: they need to have someone in the reception. We had to wait like 15/20 minutes just for someone to appear
7.0 Good
Pros: Very welcoming and friendly staff. They give you a small beer upon check-in. There's a decent kitchen for cooking and two terraces with hammocks where you can relax.
Cons: It's small and the room I had with bunk beds was tight. I reserved the shared room which showed having a twin bed but I got a bunk bed instead. The internet was slow and room was hot even with the fan. You have to climb a steep, rocky, dirt path to come and go from the hostel to the beach.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: We noticed that a few things could have really made our already good experience even better. A full length mirror, a clothes drying line and some sharper knives. But beside that, it was a lovely experience with an off beat location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was clean. Very nice people and really easy to work with. 10/10
Cons: Everything was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

5.0 Okay
Cons: Very old hotel and old furniture like everywhere in Puerto Escondido
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Set in a great location in the heart of the old part of Puerto with great views, the property is really one of a kind. Like an old beach town villa, the character of the property itself as as charming as the location in this great little beach town. Great service by the staff and very clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and manager could not have been more helpful. The building is beautiful. Such an interesting design. Spotlessly clean. Lovely pool area. Great for families. Great place to stay. We stayed in suite 4 and had a perfect view of the sea.
Cons: We stayed over the Easter weekend and we could hear a bit of noise from the local disco but not bad enough to disturb our sleep.

Pros: Great chill out place in jungle. Lot of space and comfortable bed. Ocean view.
7.9 Good
Pros: Atmosphere of the tiny bungalows is great Good bed including mosquito net
Cons: Bugs can come in the room through small openings near the roof and walls
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is absolutely great. Staff is lovely and very helpful. The room/casita was clean. Fan was good. The only thing was that you can hear everything next door. The isolation is pretty bad, so it can be a problem if you have noisy neighbours. But apart from the noise, it was really okay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Price and comfortness of bed
Cons: Noisey road
9.6 Excellent
Pros: perfect location few minutes walk to zicatela surfing beach where there are loads of good beachside restaurants and bars, only a 5 minute walk to playa principal which is a good swimming beach, and the centre of puerto Escondido is only 15 min walk away. Easy to catch the very cheap local taxis from the main road near the accomodation. the bed was super comfortable and bedding nice. the host was so accommodating and when our room leaked in the heavy rain he offered another room and happily have us a refund when we decided to relocate. I believe he has now had the issue of the leaking fixed as well. Reccomend!
4.6 Okay
Pros: The lady working there was friendly.
Cons: I guess you can’t expect a lot for this price, but unfortunately we haven’t slept both nights because the neighbours were partying all night. We told the owner and he just didn’t care. The rooms are open so you hear everything from the street, from the beach and from the neighbours. It is impossible to sleep here. I would never ever stay here again.
7.9 Good
Pros: Beutiful place, stuff is very nice. Its Perfect for chillout :)
Cons: Bed sheet was dirty. Also towels. A lot of ants...

Cons: Wi-Fi breaking-up sometimes.
7.0 Good
Pros: The food and cleanliness at the hotel was superb.
Cons: The hotel needs a huge investment to refurb the property, it is very dated. Many insects in the room because of the spaces between the old wooden doors and windows. Not very good for people who cannot walk up stairs!

Pros: Great location, clean hostel, lovely surrounding with lush green trees. Great for chilling and partying!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location near the beach, friendly people from all over the world, many activities (yoga, theme nights)
Cons: a little bit noise at nights from the bar
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very good location and nice staff!
Cons: the bar can get quite loud between 10-12pm.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Jose and Roberto treated me like I was royalty. Walked me to highway with my bags on departure to get a cab as the road was closed for a race. Who does that? Spoke to me on the phone wishing me the very best as I was leaving. ❤️❤️❤️ Food good. Air conditioned coffee spot was ideal. Location right on the beach.
Cons: My room didn’t have a balcony or any way to dry a towel or suit outside.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: +Location +Clean
Cons: -Personel was sort of not attentive and often hiding behind mobiles. Even in a surfer town I'd expect more professionalism for the money asked for the suites. Also most of the staff seemed to be not native, so don't expect a Mexican experience -the suite is overpriced. We stood in a similar priced place we liked better in almost every aspect -rather noisy. Backside of the great location :( -the symbiosis between suites and dorms somehow doesn't work out in this case.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cool spot. The grounds are lovely. Lots of areas to hang . With or without people. I was a solo traveler. The bar was great to meet people. I stayed in a single room and it exceeded my expectations.
Cons: One thousand steps to my room. But it really didnt bug me too much
