Location The wellness centers limited hours of operation
We were very impressed! The hotel is beautiful and the location was perfect. We had a wonderful eight days and can't wait to go back. Janet & Gerard from Amsterdam The only disadvantage was getting a drink in the evening. Once the restaurant had closed the bar opened, which was about 10pm. The same staff were running both. The staff work very hard and very long hours.
great place, view, peace and quiet
Good Location. Prompt staff. Really good restaurant at the hotel. Excellent choice for the money.
the view from the pool
The location and hotel were very nice; the room was clean and nice breakfast was rather poor: just eggs and bacon, and one kind of cheese... no vegetables...
Beautiful location, facilities, etc. I would return again
beutiful hotel in a wonderful location hotel staff was not very friendly breakfast was not at the level you could expect for this type of hotel (e.g. poor quality of coffee) the hotel bar is not very inviting (no atmossphere, dark)
happy hour with wine and amazing food...beautiful location and peaceful barking dog outside our room at night
The shower did non function, after 3 days we fixt it ourself. The doorkey did not function!
Fantastic hotel, with lovely helpful staff. Definitately recommend if you are in the area. No wifi in bedrooms.
Friendliness of staff
Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, friendly and helpful staff and excellent food and wine at the San Donato estate.
Very comfortable country hotel. The food was very good at both restaurants and the village of Radda was an ideal area to spend a few days. The pool was very enjoyable and well maintained. The scenery is unbeatable. A very good value overall. The beds are a little firm/hard.
Location Beds were very hard on a solid wood base.
The staff at the hotel was excellant! Although the room was very large (we staying in a suite), it was extremely outdated! We choose the Relais Vignale because we did not have a car and thought we would be able to relax and enjoy the town. The problem was that because it was out of season, most of the towns restaurants were closed. We ended up having a great meal at the restaurant right down the road, but we thought there would be more options.
the crisp, fresh feel of new sheets and towels every day, the breath-taking view, the immaculate swimming pool, the professionalism of the staff, the wi-fi connection the restaurant - the food was overly-decorated without a 'clean' taste, few fresh vegetables, salads and fruit and extremely limited offer of wine by the glass (sad for a hotel in the middle of the Chianti region)
Our stay was delightful. Everything about the Hotel was excellent and we enjoyed a relaxing 4 days there. Not applicable
Great view from the window. Wi-Fi very slow. Inconvenient cupboards - not enough shelves.
I have just one word to discribe this hotel.EXCELLENT !!! The staff was more then friendly, willing to help non stop. The "room" was not a room, was a large appartment with an incredible view over the hills of Tuscany. Breakfast was rich and fresh. We will go back !!!
The view and the location were both fantastic. The hotel itself and all of its character and charm were wonderful. We feel the hotel undersells itself on its website. The staff was also extremely helpful in giving advice on daily itineraries. The bed was a bit firm. We woke up a bit stiff in each morning.
Beautiful appointed large room with lovely outlook.Staff friendly and really helpful,a real class establishment.Superb breakfast, lovely location in a pretty town.
Staff very attentive, helpful in locating a further hotel to move to, always very pleasant. Gym equipment sparse and not all functional, swimming pool potentially good but over chlorinated. Lounge area rather tired and could do with being opened up with some sort of a bar. Television only received CNN and very small and outdated. At this price all these things should be first class.
I really enjoyed its location in small yet charming Town, Radda in Chianti. The Staffs were very nice and they did give us the room with view as we requested. Perhaps the beds are getting aged it would be better that they could change them in near future.
Absolutely Beautiful Palazzo Leopoldo, our visit was an all too brief just 2 days, all staff were so kind, friendly and very very helpful. Our room was spacious and peaceful very relaxing with amazing views. Lovely antique furnishings and spacious bathroom. Abundant and extremely tasteful breakfasts! Definitely will return!!
the location of the hotel. right in the middle of Tuscany
What i loved more was the garden, the furniture, the food and the location of this hotel!
Lovely hotel in a lovely location. Comfortable room and living area with lots of character. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great views from the room and terrace. Comfortable common room. Window in some rooms were quite small (albeit with great views).
Location and facilities were good / excellent Staffing levels and their experience were below what is expected at this quality hotel. However staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel staff was amazing and so accomodating. The grounds are beautiful. Our room was comfortable and huge. We would go back to this hotel for sure. Very relaxing and enjoying experience.
The location is faboulous. The facilities excellent and the staff helpful. There was no receptionist after 21.00
Staff attitude, very helpful and friendly. Location. Food. Grounds. Would have liked more changes in the menu during our week's stay.
The feeling of being out in the country away from the world...the views from the patio...the friendliness of the staff....the luxuriousness of the rooms. Absolutely nothing at all.
Beautiful hotel in tranquil setting. would have liked a more extensive evening menu
Excellent and very relaxed and quiet hotel in a fantastic location within the beautiful hills of the Chianti region. Staff extremely helpful and friendly and room was very clean. Perfect hotel to explore the Tuscan countryside and cities like Florence and Siena by car. Absolutely nothing to complain really. Maybe a bit more variation of the (very good) breakfast buffet and some sports facilities (such as a gym) would be great.
The grounds, the spa was wonderful, the breakfast was enormous and delicious. Our room was gorgeous, but not overdone.
Simply perfect - the location and views, in the midst of the vineyards and woods, on a hill overlooking the beautiful Chianti countryside, the facilities (room, pool, restaurant, spa) and the whole surroundings of the villa are fantastic. The rooms a stylish and well equiped, with a kitchenette I would expect a more frequent change of towels and bed linnings (once over a period of 10 days stay)
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Clean, comfortable accommodations. Pleasant, helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Nice location.
nice room, friendly staff claimed swimming pool and spa were in an other hotel and poor.
Extremely friendly, willing and helpful personnel, we feel that we received more than have paid. Location wonderful, breakfast served at a romantic ancient courtyard, home-made pastries, we were offered to use a swimming pool in a nearby sister hotel in a different, but also wonderful location. N/A
Great historic mountain town in Chianti wine region. Bathroom was very nice. Our room had odd connection to room, but staff showed it to us - only room left that night but were willing to send us to a sister hotel nearby if we didn't like it. Hotel staff on check in and out was great. Month of august, free breakfast - worth 20 euros each if had to pay for this beautiful breakfast buffet! only the bathroom connection to this one room only - still OK with us.
Very pleasent surroundings with staff who were eager to help and to please The shower in room 101 is ridiculous the taps arrangement is large and bulky which does not leave enough room to stand in there
Relax, nice hotel in a wonderful location. Excellent service and staff. Breakast was wonderful.
An excelent hotel and very good price
Hotel is fantastic, we were very impressed with the very spacious bathroom and bedroom, all very tastefully decorated. Room had a safe and airconditioing works even when your not in the room. Very small garden at the back of the hotel which was very cosy. Staff were very helpful. Definitely will return to this hotel next year. Very central location, great restaurants in the area too and you don't need to drive. Did not have breakfast at the hotel, feel it should be included in the price. You have access to a pool at there sister hotel 5km's away, but we were not very impressed. Pool area is very small and pool was unkept with a few dead creatures eg. scorpions and grass hoppers.
We were thrilled with this hotel from the moment we arrived. The staff were welcoming, our room was gorgeous, breakfast was a delicious and generous buffet. The reception staff gave wonderful sudgestions for restaurants and local attractions to tour, and even phoned to book our reservations if needed. We loved the location of the hotel within the town of Radda in Chianti. Our experience at the Palazzo San Niccolo was completely positive. Radda in Chianti is a wonderful town as well, and is nestled nicely in the centre of Tuscany. wonderful. No
The room was the best part and the friendliness of the staff . The food was awefull . Very poor value for money .
Personal attention from the staff. Great location.
friendly atmosphere and idealic location poor daily room service
The location is great. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience. This is definitely not a 4 star relais. The location is great, but that’s all. We booked a suite for 7 nights, but only stayed 6. The first night they put us in room 19. This was a very dark hole with only 2 small windows and it looked nowhere like a suite. After complaining, the next day we moved to room 30. This looked a lot nicer, but still no 4 star quality. It was dirty; dust on everything, the sanitary was very poor and. it had a leaking roof. There is no hospitaly and passion. The management is very poor. They are not friendly at all (except in the enotaca).
It was in a very beautiful area of Tuscany. It was only an hours drive to Florence, 1/2 hour to Sienna and 2 hours +/- to Assissi. There wasn't enough staff at the restaurant and the staff they had were very overworked. The rooms could have been cleaner but were just ok.
It was an amazing setting. the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. the hotel room was not ready at first so we decided to have a picnic under the olive tree and it was so beautiful my now fiance and I got engaged. afterwords we had a wine tasting and enjoyed a bottle of champagne (spumante) on our porch. they also had a welcome drink and olives and cheeses to sample before dinner. The wine samolia Venchenso was a delight. he is very knowledgable and we enjoyed his efforts and his company. this place is extrememly relaxing and i recommend this place highly. no
wonderful authentic place and surroundings unworking central heating during first could Septembers days
Nice view, central, romantic room and big nivce pool area. Quite place. The staff did not speach a word else than italian. The reseption was at another hotel. The restarant on the site was not open, even though the signs and menu was out.
Good location in Tuscany. Coordination for Check-in was 1/2 mile away in another hotel. Marginal and limited menu for breakfast. No response to e-mail questions.
Excellent location, beautiful landscape, quiet place and relaxing atmosphere. Close to different points of interest. Rooms not cleaned before our arrival and not even during our stay, with spiders and scorpions on walls and dusty sheets. The hotel staff explained us that the rooms offered through booking.com have a different status comparing to rooms booked directly to the hotel. We consider the price of 80 euros/night was too high for the poor quality of the services provided.
The Location was fully as expected according to descriptions. The rooms were ok and clean. Quote from description: ..The on-site restaurant serves typical Tuscan food... This was one of the reasons for choosing this place, We therefore were very dissappointed when we found out that the restaurant simply was not open during our stay at the place.
The local village was fabulous and I loved the scenery. The bed was two singles pushed together and the were at different levels... therefore very uncomfortable.
Location in the middle of vineyards, a nice and spacious room. The setting (terrace overlooking the vineyards) and quality of the restaurant. The room was dusty. In room no 4 there is a lot of noice at night from the restaurant kitchen below. The breakfast is very basic, we preferred to have breakfast in town
Nice location and scenery, nice and helpful staff. Restaurant at the hotel is very expensive and is not worth it. I recommed you to take short walk through the vineyard and eat good dinner in the town.
the setting, location I did not get a receipt for our stay. Is it still possible to get one by email?
Loved the location! It is a beautiful little hotel in the middle of Chianti with stunning views across the vineyard and a superb restaurant!
As I had booked at Le Vigne for friends they in fact confirmed that the location is fantastic, between vineyards and away from noise and traffic. A perfect place to relax. They are planning to come back again and I will always recommend the hotel to other friends.
It was in a beautiful location, the rooms were charming and the restaurant looked amazing, however we did not eat there. The room was extremely hot making it uncomfortable and difficult to sleep, even with a fan and the windows open. There was also a 'banging' noise that seemed to come from the ceiling which went on all night long, also adding to the challenges of a good nights sleep.
Wonderful view of the vineyards. No A/C, but we stayed in July and I really didn't miss it. High prices for the meals. I wish breakfast was included, especially given the remote location.
The hotel is located in a very nice area. Only issue is that you have to start the day at the same time as the team taking care of the wineyard ! neighbours were a bit noisy ...
Great Location, really polite receptionist, wonderful pool... We are planning to come back with our friends to share a relaxing week in october! We recommend this hotel to people looking for quiet and view.
Perfect service, facility, sourandings! beautifull!!! if you want to experience true Toscany, go there!!
The surroundings were beautiful and the moodiness of rain clouds only added to the mystery of the place. The staff were outstanding and the rooms were a haven. We will return.
Daniela, the manager & staff were very welcoming, friendly & helpful. The setting is beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.
Setting and luxurious accomodations. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Gourmet dinner. Breakfast was less than a full breakfast. Hot items should have been available and greater variety.
Atmosphere, rooms, environment, breakfast, dinner (everything)
The friendliness of the staff, the great food and the stunning location
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The authentic Tuscan cuisine was spectacular. We had dinner upon a late arrival and lunch the next day and loved both meals. We were even told how to prepare the meals when we asked for cooking tips. The breakfast buffet does not include hot meals which is typical in europe but perhaps important to note for foreigners. Nonetheless, good selection of breakfast foods. We very much enjoyed the stay and didn't want to leave. Though the Tuscan hills can be quite cool in the evenings, perhaps a good idea to note that the rooms do not have air conditioning. Also suggest noting the rooms do not have a television, though the environment is enjoyable regardless.
The Hotel is very confortable, rooms are decorated mixing luxe with farm style. The personnel are kind and concerned about every little detail. Food is has high gastronomical standard. We simply loved to stay at Livernano.
Incredible setting and (if remote !) location. Very warm welcome; great staff. Wonderful food and wine. A great, quiet place to relax. However, it has to be the hospitality of Bob and Gudrun that "made" the stay. All those comments about it being 6km down a track are serious - don't take your own car if its not a 4x4 (we took a hire car !)
Our bed was extremely comfortable. We had the L'Anima room. The heaters were not operational, and it was unseasonally cold.
Peace and quiet, excellent hosts. Leaving...
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Locanda. It is located in a pretty area of Tuscany with exceptional views. Guido and Martina are lovely hosts and they made our stay memorable. Our room was charming and very comfortable. Our stay at La Locanda will be memorable.
The atmosphere created by the delightful owners made us feel we were staying in a private home. Being in the depths of the country, it is very peaceful. La Laconda is situated 3.5k from the nearest road up a rutted track, so it is not well-placed for sight-seeing visits to Florence, Siena, etc. (A hotel with atmosphere and excellent facilities in a nearby small town was also considerably less expensive.)
The hotel and the service are very good. the staff is kind and very helpful. good restaurants' indications I loved the room..It was big and so was the bathroom. The hotel is very nice and the views amazing. The breakfast was good too, with fruits, bread, cake, cheeses, nutella, juice, coffee, tea and milk. Everything was excellent! But pay attention to the need of a car, since it is not a city-hotel.
The overall experience was very good. overall very welcoming.
Very well organised hotel. Excellent location.
It was so amazing that we had to stay another day. I highly recommend this b&B.
Country side, excellent view, great breakfast, peaceful atmosphere, interior suits the idea of hotel in willa, good stay and breakfast for the price. The contryside on the way to hotel are so beautifull!!!! The made took away second blanket I took from the spear bed, because it was cold. That was not nice.
lovely setting & views, excellent helpful staff, peaceful location, nice good sized room, hotel nicely decorated throughout - character no
We were expecting a room and ended up with a full apartment that had its own terrace at ground level. Well equiped and beyond our expectations. Very comfortable in an idylic location. Forget Greve.A Small improvement in breakfast fare would make this a superb value. We will come back Upgrade the coffee one NOTCH.TtHIS place has so much potential. stop using the date excuse for turning on the heating. It just doesn't fly anymore - up the rates by 5 euros to cover the cost if necessary- we would gladly pay this small charge.
The views. The pool. The beds were not so great..
very welcoming hosts. We were given an apartement at the rear of the hotel. wonderful outside space, and spectacular views. All in all we had a wonderful week.
It is set in the most beautiful countryside, a real retreat from it all yet accessible. The beds were a little soft, but that's it!
