The hotel was clean and in good order, with a wonderful position overlooking the Rhine. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was rather clinical and had the impression of one in a clinic or hospital. There was no meal available on Sunday.
Spectacular Views, Firm TempurPedic? Mattresses, Large Bathroom walk in shower, Clean modern facility, Full Breakfast Buffet with personal attendance by staff. Staff very helpful with needs during 10 day stay. No In-Room Coffee Maker for Standard Single room. I drink a lot of coffee.
The location of hotel no
Beautiful setting. Wonderful staff
Excellent facilities: swimming pool, sauna, parking place. Excellent view on the Rhein, if the room is on the front site of the hotel. Very good German breakfast. The only regret is that Internet is not free.
Location, evening meal
Spacious, clean, room with terrace and good view over the river; a little anonymous, but perfectly competent modern hotel, in excellent position overlooking a bend in the Rhine, with picturesque village opposite. A little difficult to spot, the access road is tucked around a corner, and the words "Conference Partner Hotel" do not appear on the sign. Up a significantly steep hill - tough on a tired cycle tourist at the end of a long day!
the view on the Rhine river atmosphere
The food was very good and the room was comfortable. It was a bit stark - especially the handicap facility in the bathroom. That made it seem weird instead of cozy.
Excellent location, nicest area of Bad Neuenahr Friendliness of the staff, very helpfull and knowledgable Breakfast buffet Warm pool, excellent for relaxation after a bike tour along the Ahr Definitely not a 5 star room and bathroom, outdated with obvious signs of wear, lack of basic amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel Small and hot room
Hotel parking space limited. Access to public parking a short walk away.

Lovely town and surrounding area and helpfull staff geared up for the older clientele
The staff was exceptionally friendly and spoke English fluently. The hotel went the extra mile with a welcome package of bottle of local wine, fresh fruits and muffin. The restaurant dinner buffet was superb. The spa seervices seemed disconnected from the hotel proper and it was difficult to find out information about them as well as about other related activities going on in the area.
Its a beautiful building and the spa is wonderful The rooms are small and out dated. More like a 2 star not a 5 star
The location of the hotel is great - near Bonn and Ahr wine area. Close connection to the Spa is convenient. We do appreciate the lovely breakfast of the hotel. We didn't remember to order specially non smoking room (hardly ever nowadays you will get the room / the whole floor smelling tobacco in this grade of hotel) and the smell was recognisable. The hotel is a bit pricey for staying overnight. For elderly persons the hotel would be a perfect match with a lot of arranged programme with the nice price.
Position was excellent across pedestrian bridge into town centre. Has sanatorium facilities in the building for those who enjoy such things. Not really geared to passing trade. Car parking is sufficiently far to get soaked in the rain. Charges for internet are outrageous.
Good welcome; comfortable and very clean room. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good. Airco quiet. Wonderful location and views. Hotel follows the landscape and is unobtrusive and well thought-out (even though you have to get used to the layout).
friendley staff and fantastic food
Excellent quality of room.
easy parking, good breakfast, friendly staff, nice quit room, easy access to nature but also to highway
Very plush and comfortable Staff were disinterested to learn that one of my party (my brother-in-law) had recently died and wouldn't be joining us. Their response: "You can't have a refund"! Also, we found it impossible to reserve a table for our evening meal. We tried for three nights and couldn't succeed.
The location was such as to be able to walk into the town without any problem but not too close to any noisy distractions or busy areas. A great mix of Restaurants are within easy walking distance if you don't eat at the Hotel. The staff are excellently well presented and very helpful, the breakfast is good and leisure facilities are ready on site straight away. The secure undercover parking is also a very welcome asset.
All excellent. Staff all very friendly and did their very best to understand our requirements (in English) and do what they can. Bar Man very good and service excellent. Nice touches with the baby (wont spoil the surprises!!)
a pleasant and wonderful atmosphere. everything was fine.
Location was excellent and great variety for breakfast.
The friendliness of the staff, the clean swimming pool, the breakfast buffet the average age of the guests was a bit high
Every one of hotel people is wonderful. I felt they looked pleased to serve us a nice service. Nice people, their fine foods & wine without exaggeration and spa reluxed and comforted me very much. nothing!
We loved the position of the hotel and the view from our room. We wish there was information leaflets about your hotel facilities available in English. We came to attend the GregoR Lersch floristry demonstration and chose your hotel because your website had booking details in English but there was no information available in English at your hotel. I know that other florists from England would be encouraged to stay at your hotel if more English information was available. A lot of English florists attend the Gregor Lersch event each year.
Friendly staff. However, the room had no minibar Yes. My room had no minibar- No good
Location near the center of town. Staff did have some knowledge of English, although the patrons are almost all Germans. No.
Smiling faces of the hotel owners and the staff. very good dinner. Probably a little bit bigger room and looking to the river.
Not speaking German, I found the hotel owners and staff considerate, patient, and somewhat conversant in English, giving me little difficulty in my associations with them. My room was lovely with a stunning view of the town and the grape-vined covered hillsides. Services were exceptional for the price and superior to those comparable to hotels I have frequented in other countries. As I needed to leave very early on my last day, the hotel owner, just beginning her day, stopped what she was doing and provided a light breakfast for me. That was much appreciated. The only shortfall for me personally was the lack of complimentary wifi. I was unable to use my phone for the internet because their wifi service was only by subscription. (They did let me send an email on their office computer - that was nice). But as far as my further ability to communicate by phone or internet, they said I would have to subscribe to TMobile. Even if I had wanted to do that, I couldn't access the Internet to do so! I would suggest that complimentary wifi be part of the services provided to guests. It's become a standard in the modern world and business travelers expect it. As everything else was impeccably presented, this was acutely lacking and frustrating.
it is a very friendly, family-owned, old world hotel within a short walk of the center of the town. excellent restaurants nearby.
Great friendly staff. Lovely pool and grounds. Good food. Excellent value for money. Family run feeling. Yummy breakfast with lots of choice. Pretty views, rooms were comfortable and had extra touches like slippers and fluffy bathrobes, bowl of fresh fruit, etc No.
friendly staff, good kitchen, good breakfast a little difficult parking
the owners were always around to offer advice and suggestions for things to do whilst on holiday
Excellent friendly service - very helpful with details of walks that we wanted to do - clean comfortable rooms; good breakfast; in general a very nice place to stay in a very pretty town. None really, except that a toaster would be handy at breakfast and also trays would be useful too.
Wireless Internet unusable
1. Most convenient hotel I have ever stayed in, right across from the railroad station at which I arrived. 2. The room, though small, was neat, clean, and comfortable. 3. Manager & staff were courteous and helpful. They could speak English. The food served in the hotel was good. 4. A very good hotel for the money. 5. Five minutes walk to the Rhine river and 10 minutes walk to the Freedom Museum for which I went to Remagen. No. There is nothing I did not like about this hotel. I would highly recommend it to others.
pleasant bar and restaurant staff. very unfriendly and rude man at the reception desk.
I love this hotel, have stayed several times. It is convenient for travel being right opposite the station at Remagen and the German transport system is very good and much cheaper than UK. It is comfortable and the food excellent. This visit was specifically for the local wine festivals - thoroughly recommended! It is also convenient for the annual Rhine in Flames festivals - check out the website.
The hotel is very close to the railway station and is also ideally situated for the town and the river The large tree at the front tends to obstruct the view from some windows
excellent service , good quality for the money no
Restaurant, the food was excellent! also a good breakfast buffet. Staff very helpfull
Location from the Hotel ist fine nearby City and The Room very Quiet.
Quite, friendly, comfortable, central to our travels Parking
all round good experience parking was near by but this was known in advance
It is a lovely situation and the village is really great. Nice for walks along the Rhine. There is a really awesome, family run restaurant n th village where they serve their local wines and cheese and sausage platters. We ate there both nights we were in Unkel. When we checked in the receptionist was not very friendly. Also, when you book, you have to pay in advance and it is not refundable should you have to cancel for any reason.
Very friendly and helpful staff, comfort and quietness of room, location in old centre of Unkel overlooking the Rhine
Good breakfast Problem getting to the hotel by car through Unkel
This is a super hotel in very charming village and beautiful part of Germany. We were very impressed by the decor, all extremely well designed, the colours perfectly matching and the finish was increadible. We travelled around the world for many years but have never before seen a hotel where everything was so perfect and yet so pleasing and homely at the same time. Very impressive indeed and much recommended.
Nice hotel in pretty German town. Beautiful terrace overlooking the Rhine. Comfortable rooms. There was a wedding, which occupied almost the entire hotel. We could not use the terrace. It was not possible to have dinner in the hotel, which had not been told at check-in. The next morning, we were not allowed to have breakfast in the nice restaurant. Instead, we had to move to a cramped room together with the wedding-guests.
The nature outside There was no bath. I asked for one king size bed. It was not available
I visited on a Sunday night in January and there must have been only another three or four guests. In the summer this would be a lovely location for a family trip or for a mature couple. Everything was very efficient although most of the staff seeme dto have a cold!
Friendly staff. Very comforable beds. Room was a little on the small side and traffic was only a matter of a few feet from the window.
peace & quiet no information in English & limited breakfast range
There were only 2 twin rooms, the other 2 were doubles, and people had to share beds - not good
Restaurant very good with excellent service. Room was rather small with a poor layout. It was however clean and comfortable
The very friendly staff and excellent location of hotel The breakfast was to expensive
Location of the hotel is great. There is plenty of room for everyone. Bar is very cosy. Egg waiter only there on the weekends although you could still ask for eggs cooked any way you wished.
Friendly, helpfull,and Clean
Extremely Clean Hotel, Friendly staff, great breakfast, good location for those arriving by train.
The hotel is facing the Train Station.
I found the hotel to be clean and tidy and the staff were polite and friendly. There was nothing to dislike about the whole experience
The hotel staff was very friendly. Nothing
A breakfast with all you may want. No elevator in a tree floors building, stairs at the entrance, not wheelchair friendly, and a very very hard mattress, and the room was not soundproof from the inside, voices in the hall at two o clock in the night, and doors slamming.
Room 12...excellent..spacious, big bathroom..not on the main road
Small hotel in the middle of Ahr River wine area.
frthe location is very good, the hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly no
closeness to the station, its simplicity, its a small cozy hotel can't remember anything now
Hotel was clean and charmingly decorated. Bathroom was large and included a whirlpool bath as well as a shower, and heated floors! The bathroom in the room was down a steep spiral staircase, which was hard on our senior knees, and middle of the night trips to the toilet.
Nothing negative to say about the hotel, and location was awesome.
A truly lovely, characterful hotel, if maybe slightly upmarket for a rucksack carrying traveller. The room was lovely with a balcony above the river (ahhh bliss). Great facilities (sauna etc). Not all reception staff spoke English, which in the hotel trade isn't great. Otherwise fine.
Great restaurant and great location in the middle of the German vineyards. Friendly staff.
Landscape, swimming pool and sauna, the service. the hotel was really beautiful Not many things to do outside.
The hotel was beautifully situated along the Ahr River in the Ahr Valley, surrounded by vineyards. There was easy access to the Rotweinwanderweg - and just an hour from where we live in Dusseldorf! The breakfast buffet was decidedly unimpressive - especially for a 4-star hotel. Croissants were stale, and they made hot chocolate with water instead of milk.
Beautiful location and great views from room and terrace of vineyards. Lovely restaurant. Nice staff. This was our second visit to hotel. Both bars were manned by one man on a Saturday which left us waiting more than 10 minutes for our wine order which we eventuallygave up on. When we went to restaurant in evening we found out reason, there was a wedding party there and all other staff from hotel were servicing the restaurant. Also would be helpful for an English menu ( only German avaialable) if they are truly trying to encourage foreign tourists. For price, breakfast should be included.
Exellent service and staff We were staying at the Hotel for the 24 hour Nurburgring race. The hotel did not have the dfs television Channel so we could follow the race at the time at the hotel. a lounge in the bar with a television would be a great thing for this!
We liked very much the peace and calmness in and around the hotel We did like the vieuw on the river Ahr no
Bathroom with humidity, old sheds in bed, taste of the food in the restaurant could be better
i thought the entire staff was friendly and accomadating to me, especially since i do not speak much german. I had a wonderful expierence while staying there and i would recommend this hotel to anyone.
This place is nothing fancy but very clean and a good value for your money. The location is excellent, right on the Rhine River and about two miles from the Remagen Bridge WWII memorial site. They do not accept credit cards at this restaurant or hotel.
Very friendly , helpful Staff; great food
room was very nice with a good view of the Rhine the staff were nice. The towels in room were a bit small
The room we had was spacious and comfortable. We had a great view of the Rhein from our balcony. The buffet breakfast was good. We had to carry our suitcases up the stairs to the 2nd floor, but not a big deal.
The mid Rhine location was just what we were looking for.
Location by the Rhein excellent. The cleanlinesss of the hotel was excellent. We were surprised to find out on arrival that the hotel would only accept german credit cards. However they did agree to accept our Master Card, as we had used this when booking, and made a charge of 2.8 euros.
The location was excellent due to the proximity of the ferry enabling easy access to Linz and other locations. Staff very friendly and food excellent
Good value at the 4 nights for the price of 3 rate. Good breakfast. Next door was a church whose bells rang on 1/4 hour from 6:30am. My room didnt have double glazing, the others on that side did. No need to book an early morning call, if you wanted on at that time! Not the fault of the hotel, but. Its in Kripp, 40 minutes walk from Remagen, but very handy for the ferry across the Rhine.
Room next to the church where quasimodo lived the bells never stopped.
The staff was nice.
It was typically German. The food was excellant. Staff delightful. There is a skittle alley. 3 minute walk to River Rhine and ferry to Linz.Used by locals, not tourist-y
Nice hotel with own parking in yard. It was realy good value per money and there was very willing personnel. Also Wifi was free.
Hotel staff not particularly friendly or helpful
Easy to find, very friendly people, good service, good breakfast. Just best value for money. -
Friendly staff, tasty breakfast, and perfectly serviceable room. Not the fault of the Hotel, but the location is a bit inconvenient since a bus or taxi (or long walk) is required to get to the train station in Remagen; the hotel is actually in Kripp, a neighboring village.
The surroundings, the possibility of cycling along the Rhein
All staff were helpful, security of vehicle behind locked door overnight. Local info was all in German, which could prove a problem to some visitors.
Everything was perfect. Very friendly staff; Excellent accommodation.Fantastic location in the middle of the old city. Breakfast buffet with a lot of delicious foo.
1/ The proprietor: he was attentive and thoroughly helpful. 2/ Bathroom: recently re-furb'd - much appreciated. 3/ Breakfast: comprehensive selection, and very well presented indeed. We could not fault this hotel
The staff were very friendly, the room clean and the breakfast generous. The hotel was situated just 200 yards from the centre of town but in a quiet location. In terms of decoration, the combination of old and modern didn't quite work.
the aparthotel has a fine bathroom. It is clean and much space. No
Helpful staff and a good location with clean and well furnished rooms. Nothing to complain about.
Guy from bar should talk a little less loud and stop selling wine during breakfast
Very nice couple runs this hotel. They were especially helpful to an english speaker who didn't know much german and explained how the nearby thermal bathes work and offered a jacket for my stay in case I got cold. There is also storage for bikes if you are on tour. The restaurant around the corner is also especially good.
The owner has something to teach all of the hotel proprietaires I have ever met about hospitality. He went out of his way to ensure that I had everything I needed and took advantage of his beloved region (which is beautiful). I liked the sort of honor system for drinks outside of hotel hours and his efforts to find what I like to eat. A little far from Bonn for business travel but worth the stay to get out of city hustle and bustle.
The owner and his wife were lovely. Informative about area, kind and happy to please. Would prefer to have new individual liquid soaps etc not large bottles that have been in use.
