I’ve driven by 3 Valley Gap numerous times in my life, finally made the decision to stop this summer for 2 nights. Loved the ghost town, rooms are obviously dated but that’s part of the experience imo. No a/c but what do you expect? It’s in the middle of nowhere, also part of the experience. They power the resort with their own hydroelectric dam, you’re not going here for glitz and glamour. “A ste...

This place never disappoints. The rooms are great and there's lots for families to do in the area and at the hotel. Kayak however sucks. The price given to us was in USD with no mention of that and ended up costing us way more than we should've paid for the room. I'll never use kayak again.

Pros (+) Not a hotel if you are a Hilton type of customer, but we really enjoyed the quirky nature of the hotel and what it had to offer. Nice setting and very interesting hotel. Rooms were decent and bed was very comfortable. Great place to spend a night with the kids on the way through.

Pros (+) It was quiet
Cons (-) Wifi was only accessible in the lobby & not in the room also no a/c in the room. The restaurant can't cook a steak & the staff mentioned after that they get numerous complaints about how the steak is over cooked from customers

Pros (+) We enjoyed the variety of activities to do at the hotel and the cafeteria.

Poor
Anonymous, Jul 2016
Cons (-) The rooms were soooo smelly. The receptionists were not nice at all and didn't care about our requests and said you can cancel your reservation if you don't like it. The room didn't have fridge, hair fryer, microwave. We booked the room for four, the toiletries in the bathroom was hardly enough for one person, and in the room, there was only one tea bag and two coffee packs. Only a small number of...
