Very welcoming friendly
Clean, friendly service, fresh rooms (recently updated). Would definitely stay again Low rumble from rail line across the road (easily covered if the Fan in the A/C unit is running) and lack of Window covering in Bathroom (causing our 10 month old sleeping in a playpen in the bathroom to wake up at dawn).
Polite staff, extremely clean and higher end fixtures, appliances in condo. no
Excellent suite, high end appliances and furnishings, access to large outdoor hot tub, ski in ski out
Decorated very nicely nice appliances too bad there is no restaurant unit quite small hard for 4 people to sit in living room No restaurant
the bed and hideabed were very comfortable. It was a very comfortable suite to be in and would recommed it to others. the lack of being able to have a good breakfast in the morning, as we only had planned to stay one night and did not bring food with us.
Very clean and comfortable
Hotel looked new- nice finishes. Location of train station nearby kept me awake
Property has very nice amenities such as restaurant and pub. Breakfast was very good. Hotel and rooms very clean which is big on my list. Room was very tiny but clean. Unfortunately felt like we were being punished for booking online. Hotel had lots of rooms available yet were put in room directly over the noisy bar and on main street. Music all night. Traffic early in the morning.
Location and staff no
This hotel was a surprise. Right in downtown old Revelstoke, this plain unassuming brick building hotel is a joy inside. I strongly recommend it!
Great location, great breakfast, clean and comfortable, reasonably priced.
We first met a charming receptionist who welcomed us with both arms. The room given to us was amazing: very spacious with 2 queen beds that was perfect for my family of 4. The cable tv system is still old school but hey do I care?
Quiet location, nice comfortable beds, Shower water flow was weak, took a long time to get hot water, bathroom could use more clothing hooks.
Old and charming. The breakfast setting was in a quiet dining room and very nicely set up - not your typical room off the lobby -- marvelous homemade muffins! No coffee pot

Clean, bright rooms with nice linens and updated bathrooms. Great view of the mountains and close to everything downtown.
Excellent location in the centre of an interesting and historic community. Its location takes it away from the heavy traffic if Hwy 1, and although it is close to the CPR main line, there was little noise from the trains. Lots of good parking available, Nothing whatsoever - the staff were great and most helpful.
Clean, modern space. Nice staff and right in downtown Revelstoke.
New. Modern. Clean. Spacious rooms. Great breakfast.
Staff were friendly and happy at all points through the day. The room was spacious, nice high ceiling (Rm 422) nicely appointed. Large bathroom with great shower. Overall a pleasant experience. Could have been a bit more seating in the breakfast area, got a bit crowded though the staff tried their best to keep tables freed up and cleaned.
Nice, clean hotel. Comfortable beds and breakfast was great. Hotel was great!
The customer service was fantastic and the room was very clean and spacious. Air conditioner worked very well and we enjoyed the breakfast!
Continental breakfast and free parking Nope
The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. We were travelling on Halloween and they even had trick or treating at the front desk. The pillows are horrible and seem to be one hundred years old.
Breakfast Didn't have a restaurant
Convenient, clean, friendly staff, great complimentary breakfast! No complaints from us.
Staff , layout, cleanliness
Everything was perfect. Nothing.
The rooms were soooo smelly. The receptionists were not nice at all and didn't care about our requests and said you can cancel your reservation if you don't like it. The room didn't have fridge, hair fryer, microwave. We booked the room for four, the toiletries in the bathroom was hardly enough for one person, and in the room, there was only one tea bag and two coffee packs. Only a small number of rooms have a good view of the lake, the majority face the manmade garden with a small window. Don't be fooled by the picture, it is not worth the price. just take your picture from the highway that passes by and continue your way to much better accommodations with much better facilities and prices.
The onsite museum was very interesting and the back of the hotel totally different to what you expected from the front. The evening meal we had was poor the food was cold and not very inspiring
Seems old and tired need upgrade bathroom in poor shape , the food was below standard.Glad we only stayed one night . Will not stay there again
The hotel was like a maze. Very quirky, dark rooms, not very inviting pool and no changing facilities at the pool.
The hotle also is home to the Gost town which was an amzaing surprise! This attraction needs to be seen by everyone. Outstanding! The hotle offers half price admission for guests.
The setting was spectacular. The dinning was very nice. The people working were very nice. The courtyard as so beautiful. You offered many things to do such as helicopter, kayaking, walks by the lake. Nothing
We enjoyed the variety of activities to do at the hotel and the cafeteria.
Its a blessing to keep the life manual - Bible in all your rooms.very impressive view of the mountains from the hotel. The coffee pot appears to be totally out of place in the washroom.
I liked the front counter people. They were polite, accommodating and very intent on making sure I was satisfied with what they provided. The facilities are in dire need of upkeep and partial replacement. Get new comforters - currently, they're strangely lumpy. Fix the heating system - currently, its noisy and weird feeling. Replace the paint scheme - feels like chic 1980s, and that's not okay.
Staff was very nice, but everything else was horrible. The room smelled like mold and mildew. The bathroom door kept locking us in and out now which was really annoying. There were not enough outlets to charge devices. The room stayed cold despite the heater being on the whole night. Everything was really old and needs to be updated.
Clean, basic, everything worked. Lots of hot water, good water pressure. Clean bathroom and sheets. Nice guy at the front desk. Nothing fancy but all the basics and as described. Had an awesome huge breakfast at the restaurant for 10 dollars and good service. Not the best for people above 6 foot (short beds, and low shower head). Maybe some new pillows might be nice?
Convenient location, friendly staff, good restaurant, small but comfortable room
The bed was very comfortable. The refrigerator was great to have while traveling. The morning breakfast was simple but nice to get juice, a banana and a muffin. The AC worked well. It sounds like I paid much less than some of the reviews so I can't complain about value. The building is on the older side - not much you can do about that. One side of the hotel hears the nearby train while the other side doesn't.
Free breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff N/A
The bed was so comfortable! Rooms kept very clean Staff very friendly. Breakfast was good. The rooms were not very sound proof. Had to wear earplugs because I'm a light sleeper
Outdoor hot tub was a plus, especially after the long day on the ski hill Loud children running in the hallway all night. Doors slamming. Staff was good but other guests not considerate.
It's pet friendly which was a major selling feature but there is virtually no green space to have the dogs use for bathroom activities. You need to use the small strips of grass that separate the parking lot from the highway/roads. The room was a good size and there were no mechanical issues. The bedding and fixtures seemed older but were clean considering the assumed age. Booked a room to have a king sized bed and kitchenette. The bed was clearly a queen, and I paid more for it, but I wasn't willing to wait for the long lines that we came upon in the lobby to discuss it so we settled with it. The decor and fixtures are very outdated but the all in one kitchenette (sink, stove and fridge) gave us a good chuckle as it was neat to see. Very little sound insulation. The kids running on the balcony in front of the rooms was heard clear as day every time it happened.
Walking distance from downtown. Very cosy atmosphere. Good breakfast. There are public showers close to the rooms.
The common parts were pretty nice and practical, breakfast was good. Very small room.
it was just like being in a modern German hostel. Sharing and interacting with real people in the real world. Shower was across the hall but it was large clean and there was almost one shower per room
I really liked the concept and the amenities. We could cook our own dinner and breakfast supplied. It was every thing we needed and there was no charge for extras. At first the internet did not work but later it was fine. We did not try the available sport facility. Could have used information in the room about the place and the services provided.
Cheap, proximity to downtown Lumpy / springy beds, front desk not helpful, room kind of gross in general, tv color not working properly, tv remote scotch taped / broken
Proximity to downtown, mini fridge to keep our cooler items cold overnight, decent sized room. Mattress sloped from feet to head, the 2 pillows were completely flat, garbage left in room.
-value -bar -aquatic center -location -helpful staff lack of bathroom ventilation room/furnishings condition
Stayed one night as I was under the belief that the nice pool and lazy river pool was IN the hotel - IT IS NOT !!! You get free passes to the aquatic centre down the street. It is near the downtown core so walkability is good but the room and service was TERRIBLE - the new manager (been there 3 days) did not make eye contact or look up to serve me for about 2 minutes; after he was done some paperwork. Even the house cleaner was smirking and nodding her head when I complained about the room (as if she'd heard it all before). Pillows were WELL-USED and smelly; toilet seat was falling off and swivelled upon sitting. Kids slept in their clothes, carpet and bedding was POOR QUALITY. Ghetto hotel; avoid. I never complain but this was BAAAAAD.
Close to downtown The bedding
Powder Springs is right in the center of Revelstoke, has comfortable rooms, a good included breakfast and gives free passes to the awesome aquatic center. This place isn't fancy but is really perfect for a budget conscience skier.
Included breakfast was better than some other places I've stayed. Location was decent - within walking distance of the main street and restaurants. (See negatives for why we went looking for an offsite restaurant) Room was dated and neglected. Bathroom wasn't dirty, but wasn't clean either - passable, barely. Air conditioner is noisy and right beside one of the beds, so one bed freezes and the other bed hovers around comfortable and a tad warm. When asked about dining options the reception lady at check-in hardly helped convince us to stay onsite to eat. Turned her nose up at the pub and while trying to sell us on prime rib at the restaurant didn't seem convinced it was worth what the asking price ($38, if I recall). Parking lot is also in pretty rough shape and had it not been a small town, I wouldn't have felt safe leaving my vehicle there overnight.
