Pros: Everything, the Langham Melbourne is my and my husband's go-to for staycations to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. It's warm, inviting, smells great, well-appointed and decorated and the lounge package is excellent value for money. The staff are lovely with nothing too much trouble for them. They especially take care of my husband, a coeliac, by ensuring he has plenty to eat, and my mother in law who must adhere to fructose free. Not many hotels are so caring.

7.6 Good
Pros: What a gorgeous place!!! The attentiveness of the staff was fantastic. the food was wonderful - I ate at the Melba and although it was exspensive it was exceptional food. The room was lovely. My primary reason for selecting the hotel was the old world charm of the hotel. I don't see value for money in modern hotels. I booked 2 rooms for myself and my husband, our older son and a family friend and would do so again. We all had a massage at the Chuan Spa which I found was outstanding. The staff there were amazing and the masseur although young was extremely talented and well trained. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. If you like comfort and extreme luxury and to be surrounded by beauty. I think it is the best in Melbourne.
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We look forward to staying at The Langham Hotel again when we next visit Melbourne. Our every need was catered for with grace and cheerfulness. This is a 'happy' hotel from room staff, to people on reception, concierge, and those servicing gourmet venues. Small but important details like bottled water beside the bed each night distinguished this hotel from others we have stayed at.
Cons:

The hotel is so comfortable. Large array of buffet breakfast choices, especially they have the facilities to make our own fresh juices. The staffs are so friendly, from the doorman, concierge, receptionists, restaurant staffs and also the chef! They serve us a very nice welcome drink at their lounge when we should wait for our room to be prepared during our arrival.
Cons: I asked for a room with a view when I booked with booking.com. I had a room with a view to the road but my room only at the 4th level, so my view to the city was blocked by the tall building in front of the road. Wish to have a higher level room in my next visit.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was fantastic. The breakfast staff were very friendly & very helpful. We will certainly miss them.
Cons: Dinner in the restaurant. Not much of a selection & steak was tough. Only dined in on the first night. Really disappointing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Location was a plus and the view from our rom excellent. The club lounge was brilliant.
Cons: Bed was not very comfortable, no top sheet on bed only a quilt. Air conditioning was terrible, was too hot with quilt on and bit cool with quilt off. Shower could have been better. For a 5 stay hotel I expected better quality. The room service meal was atrocious, our pizza was under baked and cold and the pasta was cold and very chewy, not nice at all. For the size of the room the tv was way too small and the remote very temperamental.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! Location, service, cleanliness, staff, food, super comfy bed and amazing views! The club lounge is a must although I didn’t think much of Sauvignon Blanc provided but they have plenty of other choices.
Cons: Nothing!
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable room with good service. I like the mattress very much not too firm.
Cons: Room is smaller than others. $50 for car park even you stay in the hotel. The location is bit distance from the city centre. Not very convenient.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We chose it for it's location. It is adjacent to the Melbourne Convention Centre Plenary auditorium where we attended a presentation by the astrophysicist Dr Neil DeGrass Tyson.
Cons: There was a small light in the bathroom which was on all night, no control switch to be able to turn it off.
7.0 Good
Pros: The property is great, in a very convenient spot, it’s very clean and great service.
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that we booked 2 rooms they were both the same and because we booked them two weeks apart, 1 apartment we paid $1200 for and the other we paid $630. It’s disgusting that they can do that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Complimentary champagne and Chocolate!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are beautiful, l think your staff levels in the dining room and cafe are way to low. Love the foyer.
Cons: Just the wait at breakfast in the cafe.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet but central. Friendly staff. Tasteful rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff and helpful. Good size room
Cons: Poor hot water pressure. Faulty lamp due to wiring fault that arched. Staff now aware and apologised. Suggest an audit of all electrical with leads and plugs! Bar light for dressing cupboard not working.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An convenient location close to many attractions. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. A very good breakfast with lots of choice that fuels the start of your day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room proved to be a haven and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. It was a very unpretentious but sophisticated hotel in the perfect place for us.
Cons: Small complaint but they could do better on the coffee! I'm pretty serious about coffee and good coffee is part of the 'offer' of Melbourne. Make sure baristas are trained and skilled, please. Also reception staff, please avoid saying, "Ma'am" in every sentence. It sounds engratiating and insincere. Once is fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing, quality of food, rooms was very high.
Cons: Hot dishes/plates at breakfast could be warmer
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the hotel - it is beautifully decorated and comfortable. It feels boutique and miles from a business hotel chain. Breakfast was good too!
Cons: No gym unfortunately
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous and comfy bed and bedding, staff were lovely and helpful and amenities were all good. The location was great for walking the city and surrounding areas.
Cons: View of the car park was a little depressing and meant that the blind was kept down our entire visit, which was a little bit gloomy.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly and easy check in
Cons: Building was over heated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small, historic building with beautifully decorated hallways in soft green hues. Inviting fireplace in bar next to a cool pool table (that harkened back to the building’s former history as a pool hall.) Delicious welcoming T2 tea warmed by candle at the reception. Every person who worked there was extremely warm, knowledgeable, and provided exceptional hospitality. Top notch restaurant and room service. Plunger coffee available upon request every morning and a variety of T2 teas in room. Best of all was our junior suite! With ceilings at least 12’ high, the living area included a chaise, chair with ottoman, breakfast table, flat screen TV, and ample closet and drawer space for unpacking. A cabinet containing a second TV separated the sleeping area. The upholstered headboard was surrounded by stylish light fixtures and pristine white linens and mounts of pillows invited one to snooze comfortably between winter outings in Melbourne’s CBD. This was the most comfortable bed in which I have slept in 60 countries.
Cons: Only one criticism: The entrance has 4-5 stairs which makes it difficult to haul suitcases. There is a contraption that appears to be a lift for wheelchairs—not suitcases, however.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a great restaurant and cafe, so you don't have to head out if you don't want to, and the rooms are excellent, with a great bed and bathroom, and even the views are good!
Cons: The walls are surprisingly thin, so we could hear our neighbours in the room next door to us rather clearly, which means we ended up waking up when they did. Disappointing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bathroom wonderful Bed so comfortable Location perfect Staff at desk were extremely courteous and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed linen was so soft and pillows lovely
Cons: Nothing negative

Cons: When I booked on booking.com the advertised rate was $411 for two nights. But the actual rate charged was $598. I did not know who to talk to and had no option but to pay the higher rate. Would like for someone to tell me how this happened. Mark Dossor

Pros: It was a few minutes away from just about everything .
Cons: I wish we could gave checked in a little earlier
6.8 Good
Pros: Location and customer service
Cons: The walls in the hotel room are so thin that you can hear the water in the pipes every time someone goes to the bathroom - completely disrupted my sleep. The housekeeping services weren’t consistent and during my 4 day stay they only cleaned the room once.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: First impressions mean a lot and Grand Hyatt concierge "Jimmy" provided us with a warm welcome. Greeted with a bottle of water and informed of where to next go, it was a great way to start our stay at the Grand Hyatt. From that moment until the end of our stay, we were more than accommodated with a room upgrade, fantastic service, amazing breakfast and easy checkout. My partner and I will be staying here again soon! Thank you
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, comfy, friendly staff
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location excellent.
Cons: I was charged twice and it took 3 days to get my money back. The wine glasses were dirty hence we did not use them. The room was very small, there was no where for my wife and I to put our luggage so we had to put it on the small couch hence we had no where to sit. I expected something a little larger.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location and view
Cons: Rooms are extremely noisy and there are no USB ports in the room, only ethernet cables which is really dated

Pros: Loved the music and lighting on arrival! Loved the layout and the lounge space near the window. Room service was wonderful, staff were professional! The USB charger at the desk was great! The bathroom was immaculate and we both found the storage space beneath the sink to be helpful during our stay. Breakfast was lovely downstairs. The bar staff were great! Marcia in the foyer area was delightful!!! Honestly, I would return in a heartbeat. Very happy with our experience! Thank you.
Cons: Being a part of a conference, we found it difficult to get coffee quickly and easily. Not terribly difficult but if I was going to be really picky I would look at how this could be more efficient. Not that I expected it but if I can share my experience for your info, we had too few coat hangers. Perhaps we could have asked for more but I didn't think too.

6.0 Good
Pros: The location is ok.
Cons: The room is really small compare with other 5 star hotels.
7.0 Good
Pros: Well overall the staff, especially the receptionist is super friendly. The location is pretty close to everything. But for more than $400 per night with little bit outdated inside design which makes me little bit disappointed. It’s very good if I went here 20 years ago. But for today, it probably worth less than that price.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Was set for a pickup at hotel from tour company and when they were not there concierge took charge of situation by locating and calling all 3 direct numbers available until he got ahold of someone. Timing was critical as missing a tour has its own bucket of problems because of his urgency response the tour was located and all proper arrangements were honored. He was solid. Excellent location views breakfast
Cons: Wifi did not work in room. Acoustics from outside in. Mattress was uneven in firmness.

Pros: The cleanliness of the rooms; very spacious interior. Large common seating areas; impeccable, beautiful decor all round. Friendly, efficient staff.

The valet parking..Check in ( thank you Ben). Casually talking to Terrance who told us of current events in Melbourne, so we took his advice and saw the Terricotta Warriors at the NGV.. Valet staff retrieved mobile from car and brought it up to 38th floor, which had panoramic views of Melbourne. After Harry Potter Show we had Hot Coffee in Atrium and mentioned we had run out of tea in room..they provided some extra with a smile. 8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had that lovely old world feel, beautiful comfortable bar right as you walk in the door, the location was perfect for me. The room was a lovely size. Walking distance to everything you need and right across the road from the skybus, which was handy to get to the airport.
Cons: The bed was a little hard for my liking, but that’s just a personal preference thing. The bathroom was beautiful but on the small side. I arrived on a Saturday night and you could hear some outside noise, but it was quieter the other nights. Not very soundproof rooms. You could hear everyone else’s doors banging.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful. I called the desk with a problem with the tv. Expected directions to fix the problem over the phone. But someone came up to help me without me having to ask. Room was clean and comfy. And traveling alone I felt safe staying here. Well lit hallways and people around......but not too noisy
Cons: The food was hit and miss. Yummy soup one night. And and awful burger and fries the next

Pros: Nice decor, pretty rooms. Location is good from transport perspective, but not the prettiest part of town. Probably 4* our of 5.
Cons: It is a nice place, but I wouldn't say that its amazing, breakfast is ok, but for 29$ can find much more interesting food.
