Pros: My husband and I cycled from Quebec City to Montreal and our route took us to Durham-Sud where we were lucky to find wonderful accommodations with the best hosts anywhere. Since I was more tired the host Patrice picked me up in Richmond, and then created a gourmand meal for dinner (there is nothing close for dinner if you are cycling) and an incredible breakfast with excellent coffee. Everything was from their garden or were obtained locally (the cheese and beer), and we had an enjoyable conversation with Gaetan who served the meal. Everything was thoughtfully considered in the rooms with excellent bathing and sleeping arrangements, and the farmhouse is really charming in a beautiful and bucolic setting. Truly wonderful!
Pros: The hosts make a breakfast that is made from all local produce that was very delicious, with lots of nice touches. The place is very clean and very unique and comfortable.
Cons: Sometimes you can smell and hear the sheep farm that is close by. It did not bother us, but it might not be for everyone. It does add charm for that country feel :)
Pros: The owners were very nice and welcomed. The house was clean and cosy. The breakfast was awesome; local cheeses, 4 kinds of jams, crepes for kids and omelettes for adults. We enjoyed it very much!
Located in Melbourne, Auberge Papillon Lune is within a 15-minute drive of Les Vallons de Wadleigh Vineyard and Woolen Mill Ulverton. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The grounds and pool, playground area are outstanding for family fun. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. Rooms are very clean. Close to golf course. Quiet, family oriented.
Cons: The beds are a bit hard & uncomfortable
Pros: Very quaint, friendly owners, fresh continental breakfast. The location was perfect for us, we were playing golf 2 minutes away. Perfect clean sunny spot for vacationers with campers as well!
Cons: All was just perfect!
Pros: It was clean
Cons: Our bed was really uncomfortable and made alot of noise... We were not sure if the hot tub was even open. That was a big disappointment...
Pros: The staff was friendly and the rooms were great.
Cons: THEY DIDN'T/WOULDN'T HONOR OUR RESERVATION! WE HAD TO PAY TWICE FOR THE SAME RESERVATION. Though presenting a paid reservation from Booking.com they said it was not valid and demanded we pay again! NENER coming back here again and I'm trying to get a refund on one of the payments I was forced to make.
Pros: This place is very comfortable. Friendly owners. Excellent breakfast.I recommend this place.
Pros: Owned and staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Cons: If you want to have a quiet getaway in a small peaceful environnement , this is a very good choice. Fire in fireplace was always going, must be an elf! We'll be back!
When you stay at Le Williams in Asbestos, you'll be 9 minutes by car from La Galerie des Nanas. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Easy to find and close to everything
Cons: The beds where above average hard.
Pros: quiet and clean
Cons: no hot breakfast
Pros: Outdated, but clean. No reception staff around. Need key to enter into hotel as always locked. Only available place to stay.
Cons: Service could be better
Pros: bed wasn't too bad for me. Wife thought she was sleeping on a rock.
Cons: Way too expensive for what they offer. We did not like much at all. Hotels usually have 24 hour personnel coverage. They did not. Tv outdated. Still have the old tube tv. Can't plug our usb key containing movies we would have loved to watch. Breakfast was not included. Rooms are very very tiny. There was only one knight table on the side of the bed. Very poor lighting.
Pros: Small breakfast available
Cons: Nothing in particular
