Fantastic view No
the location is superb The location of this hotel is excellent if you are a tourist and wish to be right by the sea. Unfortunately, the hotel position is such that not a great deal of effort is made elsewhere in the facility and the service bar one receptionist appeared to be very much on a take it or leave it basis. Not sure how it gets the Best Western brand to support it. The kitchen boasts a chef with a tall hat but little skill.
Extraordinary sea view, people very professional! In the shower, the water falls down to the floor.
We arrived early (10am instead of 2pm) and the reception organized that we could use our room within 20 min. Perfect! Wonderful location completes this experience. You could go to the beach with the elevator! All seaside balconies are above the water.
Good vaue for money, staff helpful, good views of sea 1km + walk to town, a little dated
Worsest place I staid in my life, with dirty towels and no parking places as was promised in advertisement This is 2* hotel but not 4!!! Worsest place I staid in my life, with dirty towels and no parking places as was promised in advertisement This is 2* hotel but not 4!!! Dirty plates on the breakfast!!! I will never stay in this hotel anymore.
Amazing views! The rooms with a sea view are a best value!! A bit fare from the city center
tidy room great staff and great lokation the double rooms were two beds put together, use proper double beds would be better, and it needs a bar for guest with real drinks
excellent view to the Adriatic Sea !
The food was very good, the sea view was excellent and the location good A lack of a swimming pool and the fact that certain staff had poor language skills
I went on business trip so I really liked central location, parking is available on site, breakfast is good. No,I liked everything.
Location of hotel and view from balcony, sitting area in room, free internet facilities, room safe. The senior breakfast concierge was very unfriendly and managed to disappear whenever guests needed something. In contrast the younger staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. There was a very limited choice of evening meals in the hotel restaurant We only discovered that there were no sheets on our bed on retiring at 11pm.
Every thing could not find any faults, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in aboard if not THE best!!
We loved the hotel. We were only there 1 night but it had a great restaurant, great staff, but most of al: an amazing location. We walked out of the hotel lobby at 2 am and the night life surrounding the hotel was still very electric. The location of the hotel is perfect. Bars, restaurants, shopping, the port, old streets and sidewalks are all less than 3 blocks away from the hotel.
It was a great hotel and everyone was very helpfull
Central, clean and friendly staff
Very good location for city tour and shopping. Grand overlooking sea view at higher floor. No particular attractive points than convenient location.
Cleanliness and presentation noisy air conditioning which did not cool
Internet conexion free. In the center of the village.
They went out of their way to help us with all of our needs. We were visiting in a foreign country and did not know the language. However, this was not a problem. Very nice people, and the facilities were excellent. It was one of the quietest hotels we have stayed in. It was difficult to find even following the directions.
The location is perfect, close to the city center, the parking house has enough room, the breakfast was ok for a 3 stars hotel The room was not so clean, the wireless intenet signal strength was very poor on the 5th floor and I was not able to access any websites.
It was terrible No parking plases, the conditions of rooms is very poor, air condition not worked. no any bar in hotel, staff was not friendly.
limited parking in front of the hotel (by chance), breathtaking seaview from the room on the top floor, continental breakfast, close to the city centre, refurbished room.
Service, location, food a little bit to expensive for 3 stars hotel; poor parking; no hair dryer ( you have to requestet it at the front desk!!!)
The helpfulness of the staff, the views. The estaurant was small and the air-conditioning was inadequate.
Breakfast had a decent selection of things! There was a new cafe that they had attached to the hotel. The beds were very comfy! Rooms were clean and simple and the lobby was large and relaxing with comfy couches to sit and use the free wifi. Slightly overpriced, but limited hotel options in Rijeka.
The view from the balcony, towards the Adriatic Sea is amazing. For a three star at that price, the hotel has a bad location, hardly any parking space and a very low comfort level. The noise from the street is amazing and at Saturday evening the place is packed with drunk teenagers (careful with the car).
Good hotel with new rooms, good breakfast, near to city centre. Few space to parking outside hotel but good free parking in garage if it is free.
On the reception is a very nice blond Lady, Ms. Sonja. She is not only beautiful in her look, but she is very beautiful in her character, her outmost honesty. By error I gave her about 120 Euro more and was about to leave, when the lady called me back and returned the money. Such behavior is not usual in that part of the world, so it is to be appreciated
Location and the view The shower...
It was fine. There were not enough towels on the pool, probably because of the construction work. Also inside pool was not in use. (This is just a comment, not complain.)
Excellent welness area and treatments offered where very good and affordable The food was very poor for a five star hotel!
hotel staff not sympathy the room untidy no facilities as 5 star hotel
Comfort of room Public parking in front of hotel cost 5 kunas/hour, entrance in spa is expensive even one of saunas was out of order
swimingpool no lcd in the room.but in the picture i found the lcd but in my room ....no i wait for chek in until 5 pm.....i do not recommend this hotel"
The location of the hotel is in the middle of the city of Opatija. The staff is very friendly and my room was clean, large and equippd with all the usual ammenities and a nice seaview terrace. I stayed for one night only and did not find anything that I would not like
I like the room, the view.
Rooms are nice ,breakfast good,8 km from the center of Rijeka
Beautiful location, nice balcony, good air conditioning, nice breakfast. Slightly dated, especially the exterior of the building. Not really what I'd call a 5* hotel but nice nevertheless.
The staff were consistently polite and helpful. During a spell of very bad weather they made every effort to make last minute appointments for me at the spa so that my holiday was not affected. There was nothing that I found out of place or that I did not like.
The 4-stars Hotel Grand Opatijska Cvijeta offered comfort of a 5-star hotel. The location was ideal and the rooms were very large and comfortable. The hotel itself was great but I was disturbed by the conduct of Milenij Hotels. I booked a room in Hotel Milenij which booking was changed by the chain to the Hotel Grand Opatijska Cvijeta one day before arrival! It was justified by unidentified technical problems. This was really annoying and uncomfortable. I must admit, however, that the replacement hotel was great.
Bar & restaurant location & sea wiev from the room
Nothing Cannot be regarded as a 5* hotel, hardly up to the standard of 4* hotels we were in in Croatia. Room dull and dingy, puplic areas poor. Breakfast was horrible, stale bread and rolls, no fresh juices, hot food looked over cooked and finished items were not replaced.
its position, so close to the sea.also the breakfast! room was a bit too small.
Excellent position,nice view,SPA,excellent massage,spacious room.... Unfriendly staff,no wireless internet in room,poor breakfast....
Great location (heart of Opatija), exquisite buffet breakfast Reception staff unworthy of a 5* hotel. Shame that hotel guests have to pay extra charges for parking their car.
We liked the location, the luxurious surroundings, the pool and spa. We did not like the fact we were kept awake for 2 nights in a row until 3 am by a disco in the hotel which was the loudest we have ever heard. We also did not like the fact you had to hire sunbeds on the hotel terrace. We feel this should be included in price.
We went during the off season and so were able to have very nice rooms at a very reasonable prices. The staff was courteous and helpful and the included breakfast was delicious and plentiful. When two of three of us asked for changes to our room assignments, the front desk accomodated this - one receiving a very nice double with a sea view and the other (who wanted a view) did get that, but the bed was a pull-out couch. Clearly this room normally serves as the living space of a suite. However, this was satisfactory as it gave the desired view.
breakfast and outdoor dining areas
Staff Food not so good
Huge internal pool. Panoramic kinds on the sea and yachts from all numbers.
Hotel has a good location, rooms are spacious and properly equipped, breakfast is excellent, hotel staff is kind
Nice room, nice view, lots of facilities, beautifull city, very helpfull car-boy. The hotel lies very quiet, which is nice. The boulevard is very noisy, lots of hotels have music. You hear nothing in the hotel Admiral. Very friendly staff in the restaurant! The buffet, we wished we had choosen à la carte. But then, it was very very cheap.
Reasonable hotel with good external swiming pool, nice view from hotel rooms, bit large for moving from one side of the hotel to other.
great views over the sea breakfast food poor
The view en close tho te center. Complicated to find the way. Easy to get lost in this hotel. No possibility for ordering drinks at swimming pool and whe had to pay for umbrella and chairs at the swimming pool.
location,cleanliness and comfort
Location, Service, Breakfast was great They charged us for chairs at the pool despite being a guest. One day the pool was being cleaned so for the whole day we could not use it. The indoor pool closes very early on weekdays and the fitness club was not open once during my 6 day stay. The staff at the hotel Taverna seemed to forget something from our order each time we ate their.
Fabulous indoor sea water pool. Beds
The towels for handwash were missing...
Close to the center of the city and the beach Very difficult to park a big car in the city since there are lots of one way and narrow streets.
Excellent recent refurbishment, excellent staff, great location. Decor is charming, luxurious and tasteful. Superb sea view from room. Great breakfast. Staff was very professional, helpful, plentiful and friendly. Value for the money was the best we had in Croatia. We enjoyed everything about our stay.
Very friendly staff. Great location. Nice rooms & bathrooms. Pretty good breakfast, too. We were upgraded to a bigger room for free since we were traveling with our 2 yr old son. I would stay again! The rooms were pretty hot, and we were there in October. Air just didn't work right.
Excellent room , good location in town. No convenient place to unload luggage. Also, their garage was overbooked, so we had to park at a sister hotel about two blocks away. A minor inconvenience.
Very nice hotel, very elegant, comfortable, pleasant. -
we had a nice room no parking not even for unloading bags
a very nice, old-style hotel, cosy, nicely furnished... a helpfull lady receptionist no parking place available at the time of our stay; traffic noise comming from the main street
I liked the design and the furniture. The staff was helpful and professional. The position is excellent. Breakfast was excellent too, in a beautiful hall. The telephone in the room didn't work. We also found one cockroach in the room. The wifi connection is not free of charge and works very poorly on the upper floors.
Tip top renovation, bed, appliances, bathroom with tub. Room with great view.
The view!!! no
the newly refurnished facilities
Excellent, helpful staff; beautiful view of water Room small; had to walk some distance to elevators and breakfast room; not in center of "hotel row"
Very good price/performance (however, it is off-season). Rooms were clean, staff was ok.
This is supposed to be a 4* hotel - which I am not sure I would agree with. I do not expect to have to pay for the use of the sauna, steam room etc. in the pool area, nor should there be a charge for the sun loungers on the "beach" We had specifically asked for a parking place as we had driven from England, but one was not available
The view of the Adriatic Sea is great. The older section of the hotel is very 70s, but the rooms have great balconies. The newer section is very nice, but no balconies. Buffet breakfast was extensive and good. There are two free internet points in the lobby. There was a stale smell in the lobby of the 70s portion of the hotel.
Could not fault. Great swimming pool
Location Not enough elevators and the existing ones are too slow. Not enought parking. Hotel Bar and Restaurant close too early.
In a great location of Opatija, breakfast was good and parking facilities available.
the view on the sea we were next to the elevators, the noise was constant all night. we certainly did not have a rest. Glad to leave.
The sea view and large room (suite). The had addtional trouble to get the room that we actually booked, ie. suite with a sea view. They gave us a standard double bed room with a view to the street before we realised they made a mistake. Otherwise nice hotel staff.
The hotel is located on the coast, a couple of steps and you are in the sea! You can park the car in the garage and there was really no need to leave the hotel during our stay because everything could be found there- pool, coast, drinks, meals some music after dinner. We needed nothing more. Breakfast bar was plentiful, lunch or dinner was not too expensive. Love the fact that there is a view of the sea from the lobby and the pool area. Great location! Lack of enough chairs at the pool- bit crowded. Roadside rooms are a bit noisy due to traffic on the roads. The beach is not too big, therefore its more crowded, but that the hotel can not control. Comment for bookings.com- there was not any info of what view our room would have, and that is important.
The location in Lovran was good with it being a short bus ride from the more lively Opaltija. The room was comfortable and a decent size and the food was good. In our opinion this hotel was not a 4* status. It was very dated and the outdoor area in particular was very disappointing with lots of repairs needed. The staff were not too friendly and we didn't feel very welcome. Poor value for money compared to over 4* hotels in Croatia.
A very nice hotel, spacious and modern rooms. Good location, not far from the old city. There is also free public parking available within 100 m of the hotel on a first come first served basis. The a la carte restaurant on level 1 has a very good range of reasonably priced meals, including fantastic wood fired pizzas for less than 5 euro, as well as music in the evening. Overall, a great hotel! The refrigerator in the room did not work. One other issue is that they charge for the sun beds and the sun shades - this is really a terrible habit originating in Italy, and in a four star hotel the poolside facilities should be part of the service rather than an extra! he breakfast buffet, although good, does get a bit monotonous after a few days.
Hotel is located near the sea, beautiful view from the balcony of the sea, a cozy great room, large and comfortable bathroom, excellent service. Well thought through system with a card (for opening doors, for working lights and air condition). The room has a safe. The sea around the hotel, as a whole in that area - very clean. Sun from 7 am to 3-4 pm. The hotel breakfast - Buffet breakfast is included. Additionally, we booked dinner (also Buffet breakfast), 9 Euro per person. The hotel has an indoor and two outdoor pools, several restaurants. That evening was the entertainment. Overall, we enjoyed stay in this hotel. Uniform food during a buffet breakfest - day after day almost nothing changed. Very high prices for drinks in the room. Daily cocktails wants to be better. There was not a pleasant smell in the room with an indoor pool.
Breakfast was good. Hotel quite. Location is also very nice. I didn't likt the the amount for Hotel Number was different from Booking.Com price. Difference was approximately 5%.(part for currency difference, part for I don't know what). Also bed staff was not changed and pillow was terrible.
location of the hotel is excellent, hotel staff is freindly the breakfact does not fit to four star hotel ranking, services (number of towels, lack of hair shampoo and so on.)
Open and closed swimming pools with sea-water and sauna, restoran was fantastic, very many dishes, fruits, ice-cream on dinner, very taste dishes, very good place of hotel- in the center of Lovran, near bus-stop) Very goob beach- private with platform, frendly personal, good reception service)
Nice rooms, facilities, helpful staff, clean rooms the elevator was always busy, so we hadto wait minutes to get one where we could fit. If you do not want to pay 7 EUR/day for the garage then you have to fight for parking places. beach is dirty near to the hotel, so you have to travel to Medveja to have a nice beach.
The staff, indoor pool , the room , the view , location , the tavern's food (the best and cheap pizza in the world), beackfast and last but not least ...the le show (Liburnia Entertainment) The outdoor pool (it was for the children), the taxes for the umbrella's and chairs at the beach and also for the usage of the internet and the parking places.
Location is good. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The parking fee is too high. Some male staffs were not sincerely nice. There was stinct smell of the bathrrom. It disapeared after showering.
Good location to beach, water was terribly cold, but this is not a Hotel fault. The breakfast on terrace was on plastic table and chairs, what is not suitable for a 4stars Hotel.
location, Staff unpleasant, not offering help with luggage or anything, rushing people from the dinning room all the time, recycle food! return food to buffet Parking even when paid for the whole stay they do not keep it and it is a fight every night!do not follow on wake up call, and no loundry bags in rooms.
The place of the hotel. The staff is very kind. The shower place is too small although we are not fat people. we would like that breakfast shall include some vegetable .
Desk manager was the most rude and impolite of all encountered on a month's trip to Croatia. Also felt that not allowing bags into dining facility reflected the wrong attitude toward guests. I would not recommend this hotel.
Some of the staff were fantastic and helpful, especially those in the caffe bar and dining room. The heating was set too high(26-27) and an older man on reception was just plain rude.
location Staff unpleasant, not offering help with luggage or anything, rushing people from the dinning room all the time, recycle food! Return food to buffet Parking even when paid for the whole stay they do not keep it and it is a fight every night!
Excellent location, parkingbin front of the hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great food, one of the best hotels I stayed in Croatia. It would have been nice if the sea-view rooms had balconies, but everything can't be perfect, can it? The hotel is so good it does not really matter.
The room, view. Close to the sea. More pancakes for breakfast.
nice little room on the 4th floor, very good location breakfast is too light, coffee is not good at all.....go to the coffee place next to it, coffee is delicious there
Because we only stayed one night it is very hard to give an opinion about what we liked. One of the best things was the location though. The breakfast was pretty good to.
Very good food offered at a very attractive price at the hotel restaurant. Room was modern, clean and inviting.
perfect location, very nice and helpfull staff, neat rooms
close to centre, good price a bit worn out
Nice hotel in a great location
Location It was too hot to sleep -- +35 and there was no airconditioner. Noisy by young generation till 5 a.m. - there is a small park at the entrance of the hotel and they screamed like hells. It happens every night. The staff does not care....
Great location, cheap price. The staff spoken either German, English or Italian so communication was good. Smokey hallways and lobby. Extremely limited parking available. Breakfast was not always fresh and the dishes weren't always clean. The doors and walls need a good wiping down.
Hotel room was good value for money. Breakfast was excellent. Location of the hotel was very good.
The room was pretty nice and the location was pretty good. The staff was not helpful in finding internet cafes or restaurants. The square outside is full of drunk noisy teenagers, using the bushes as bathrooms. Walking through this at night was frightening and disgusting. There's not much good about the city, either.
our room was on the backside of the hotel (not seaside) and very noisy.
Staff was extremely courteous, breakfast buffet fantastic.
The room was very spacious and was realy clean. Hotel building is not as nice as interior. Stuff was very friendly. There was no shampoo in the bathroom.
hard to locate, old rooms, phone and air conditioning not working, food not good. $$$$ for what you get. everything
Good hotel, one of the best in Opatija, comfortable, clean, good service
location, friendly staff initial problem with the toilet-we were given another room
Friendly staff, good facilities and food and good location
The hotel in well located on the seafront. It has an excellent spa and swimming pool with sunbathing facilities that can be reserved for the day.The buffet breakfast is very good with a wide selection to choose from. It has its own car park, ( extra charge) which is essential as it is very very difficult to find parking on the streets. Difficult to find the Hotel and the there are four Grand hotels in Opatija.
Parking, position, view.
The location can't be beat and the hotel looks fantastic. The rooom really need updating. Looks like it hasn't been touched in 30 years in the rooms.
The position of the Hotel. The hotel is one of the oldest in Opatija and it has a specific charm. The heating was bad.
This is evidently the oldest hotel in town and its less than luxurious decor and facilities give proof of this, but it has old world charm and views of the sea that make up for this. The staff is terrific and I feel that many of them have been there many years. A very enjoyable stay (but the worst coffee I have ever tasted). The coffee!!
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly. No air con!
The nearness of the seaside and the beautifully located pool with seawater which looked very romantic in the early morning, The style of the hotel's historic design is superb, the magnificent interior is the Crystall Hall where breakfast is served. The particular room we had was unsatisfactorily, it was cramped and its dimensions resembled to a single room. My Partner thinks this is a complaint but it isn't.
Rooms in need of a facelift
location location, staff Getting a little seedy., expensive for condition
The hotel had a beautiful sea view and was within easy walking distance on the Rijeka bus stop. The breakfast was good. The hotel was "very tired" and is in desperate need of redecorating.
Nice location, very good breakfast. The entire hotel is in need of new carpets, draperies and furniture. At the very least it needs a good cleaning. The rooms are too small for the furniture placed in them. There was no adequate way to maneuver in the room.
no parking, no clima
The panoramic view was excelent The furniture was a little old
Came from Rijeka by a crowded bus for 2 nights only. Location - very close to the bus stop and right by the sea front, easy access to the beach, got a room with the sea view although booked a room without. Plenty of choice for breakfast, but you have to be up early. very small and smelly bathroom, poor shower, the whole place needs a bit of an update, especially the breakfast room, table cloths and bed linen falling apart - full of holes. Places to eat are a bit pricier then you would expect. We liked a restaurant called Hemingway.
Hotel is right in the middle of town. We got an enormus room with a balcony and a view of the sea. Decor a little dated but it was cleana and comfortable. Nice breakfast included, overall good value.
the space in the room and the seaview the hotel is so old and the client too. Not for a young couple.
Location, with a great sea view. Nice and clean. Not much parking available.
somewhat old but still pretty good hotel. no air-conditioner
Service was amazing and genuinely friendly. Room and views were excellent Very highly recommended
friendly staff on reception Could not pay by credit card on checking out as connection problems - had to go to a nearby bank and get cash out of account - not really acceptable. breakfast was awful - no choice Not particularly child friendly - no high chairs and lots of steps Staff in the breakfast room 9particularly the males were rude and unhelpful
Very nice stuff, food is great and the room is big and clean. No wireless
The location was excellent and the bedroom views were also excellent.Breakfast room was to a high standard and the good was good. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel. There was an odour from the bathroom which spilled into the bedroom and when we drew this matter to the attention of the receptionist, we were told "you are the only ones having this problem"
