Pros: Fabulously friendly ,knowledgeable and most convivial hosts . We were made to feel so welcome. We booked the suite because we were travelling with our dog . That worked really well . It is comfortable and private. The owners are dog friendly and very people friendly too . There are large grounds surrounding the property to leg stretch after the journey. The evening meal was superb !! Such attention to detail .Wonderful food accompanied by some well researched lovely wines to enhance each course. It was truly a gastronomic delight . This is a real gem .
Cons: Nothing .
Pros: Our self catering property was very bright, airy and comfortable. It has all the amenities you would need for self catering. The bonus is Alex (the host) is very helpful and attentive. She prepares fresh breakfast with homemade assortments every morning with plenty of choices. For example a delicious surprise of Brioche Perdue per photo attached. The location is only 10 minutes by car away from Langeais which is very beautiful ancient town; and also conveniently located explore the vineyards chateaus of the Loire Valley.
Pros: So happy to have found this accommodation. Good location, extremely comfortable accommodation and truly amazing food. To be able to sit in a magnificent garden with a glass of wine on arrival after a long drive was heaven. Our hosts, Christophe and Alex, were wonderful hosts. If your journey doesn't take you past La Marelle I suggest you make a detour!!
Cons: Really could not fault it. It was wonderful.
Pros: Our second stay here and just like the last time everything was excellent. Big comfortable rooms, lovely hosts and donkeys in the big garden. Visit the nearby town of Langeais if you have time. Shops and restaurants around a great castle.
Pros: We stayed in the family suite which was perfect~ a large bedroom for parents, a luxurious bathroom, and a super cool, separate "attic" room for the 2 teenagers. The property is lovely and has a large outdoor area with garden, pond and 2 sweet donkeys! Our host was very welcoming, prepared a fantastic gourmet dinner the night we arrived, and an expansive French breakfast every morning. We appreciated being so close to many chateaus and other sights, while in a serene, pastoral location.
Cons: Nothing - everything was perfect!
Pros: Everything was tip top. This was our second visit en-route to the south for our holiday. Nothing to add !!
Pros: They were great hosts. Breakfast was great. The rooms were what we needed.
Cons: We aren't the most demanding travelers. Everything worked for us.
Pros: - amazing host, went into great lengths to make us feel at home (including helping cook food for our baby!) - great location, very tranquil
Cons: - the single mattresses in one of the rooms are a little soft
Pros: Very friendly and helpful host. Nice and quiet surrounding.

Cons: Breakfast could have been more varied and perhaps included fruit.

Pros: The family were amazing and very welcoming. There stories and knowledge was outstanding. Loved every minute of our stay there.
Cons: Nothing as everything was outstanding
Pros: Very helpful owner who assisted us as my wife was quite ill. Stephanie moved us to a more suitable room for my disabled wife and assisted us to locate a doctor who provided a prompt appointment. We shall return in better health.
Pros: It was great to stay in such an old place with character. Got assistance from the staff to book a night elsewhere; faster with the telephone in fluent French than with email.
Cons: Um, the only thing I can think of was that the wifi was only in the common room and it was shut off at night, but that might have been a fluke. And besides, asking for wifi in a chateau is almost too much to ask so having a fast connection down the hall was fine.
Pros: An incredible experience, the chateau felt like it hadn't changed in 250 years! The family were super friendly and could not do enough yo make you feel more welcome.
Pros: Extremely helpful owners. Do ask to do the tour of the house. An amazing story
Cons: The chateau is very old and probably lacking in some areas. Room was enormous but a little faded as was the bathroom
Pros: Everything about our stay was outstanding. I would recommend a visit to everyone.
Pros: The stay is a walk in the history. Absolutely interesting and fascinating. The dinner was delicious, the breakfast tasty, the croissants were really really flakey and nice. Take the castle tour!
Cons: As the weather was cold, then it wasn´t easy to warm up the medieval castle. I´m sure it´ll be even more wonderful with a warm weather.
Pros: Beautiful property and great hospitality.
Pros: What a fantastic place to stay! Just like going back in time. The chateaux is family owned and run, who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We learnt a lot about the history of the building, got to tour around and stayed in the most fabulous rooms. Most definitely to be recommended.

Cons: I loved everything about this chateau.
Pros: Very friendly staff. The rooms are nice and clean and have a nice view over the golfcourse.
Cons: The clubhouse of the affiliated golf course has limited opening hours.
Pros: A wonderful castle and hotel, even for us who don't play golf. I can recommend the salmon filet for dinner.
Pros: loved the refurbished chateau and the décor
Cons: the wifi was very unstable. It kept dropping out during the whole course of the stay
Pros: Beautiful architecture , staff very helpful. Room service the best.
Cons: No English TV channels. WiFi and 4G very poor.
Pros: It's very private and the view is super nice. Room is clean, good for leisure or vacation.
Cons: No place to buy snacks/drinks nearby. Also it's completely not convenient if you come on Sunday as no bus/public transportation.
Pros: We are in the restaurant and the meal was excellent. We were the only guests at the hotel that night so it was very quiet.
Pros: The breakfast is perfect, I would recommend the smaller "library" room. The restaurante was quite nice and the surroundings are great. The staff was great, but only two people for the all guests -- one extra collaborator should be wise : )
Cons: We stayed at a "chambre tradition". Honestly, I was expecting it to be better. Most likely, we got the worst room since it was a last minute reservation. But it was quite small (net surface wise), the shower did not have a protection around and the coffee machine was missing a thing or two. The room temperature was not also very considered and we needed to use an old electric heater, that gets the air all dry -- as you can imagine.
