Norlan, front desk staff, was very kind and attentive amazing and quite facility. very relaxing. clean Dinner buffeet ($22) was tasteless. breakfast and lunch were good. too far from liberia, closest place to get grocery or food.
Best hotel for the price. Food was just amazing. We are vegetarian and this is where we had the most options. Their buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner is top-notch for the price. The great variety of desserts, juices and entree were worth $20. They have their own hot spring which also is amazing. The road to this hotel is in poor repair just like many parts of the costa rica.
Lots to do in a beautiful location. The staff were great, beautiful hideaway spot. Nowhere was it mentioned it would be a 45 minute drive from the airport on a rough mountain road or that taxi cost from the airport would be $85 US. Not a good choice for a late arrival.
Very nice rustic lodge with so many activities on site! It is more of an outdoors, ranch, rustic style place but perfect if you love the peaceful outdoors. There is no television or air conditioning but it was cool enough that you did not need air conditioning and plenty of activities that you would not miss the television. Many activities for a reasonable price (horseback riding, hot springs, water slide, hanging bridges, hike to waterfall). Dinner at the restaurant was a little pricey but it was very delicious. I highly recommend watching the sunset from the sunset bar! Beautiful view! The staff is all very nice and helpful with everything! Overall we had a great time staying here!
Comfortable beds, and great service. The air conditioning is loud, and the windows don't open.

The bed was very comfortable and the bar/restaurant staff were lovely. The proximity and airport shuttle make it convenient for early morning flights. The air conditioning unit was extremely noisy. My husband and I had a terrible sleep. For the price of the hotel and the Hilton name we were very disappointed!!
Clean, adjustable firmness mattress. Good menu at restaurant with reasonable price. Free shuttle to airport. Convenience items for sale 24 hours, for that late night aloe, allergy meds, or upset stomach. English spoken by all staff I talked to. Nothing was bad about our stay.

Great place and value for the money, the staff people and GM Jose are all excellent service, friendly and trying hard to keep gue 3 1/2 stars.. happy! The saunas need attention, the spa services are very nice, excellent service, but a bit high priced for Costa Rica and the spa packages could be up graded. The location and entrance are decieving, but the rooms, pools and gardens are specatacular!
I thought this place was amazing. From the location to the amazing villas. My wife and I loved it. Would come back in a second. The staff treated us like royality. We were even comped an adventure tour becomes our room was 30 minutes late. T This place is worth it. Nothing.
We had a fantastic stay at Rio Perdido! The staff was wonderful - incredibly friendly, helpful, and focused on offering a personalized experience. Mario greeted us with such genuine hospitality and the rest of the staff continued with the same high standard. The property is incredibly unique. Great activities, including visiting the geothermal river, a canyon adventure with fantastic safety-focused and fun guides, very nice pools, and a positive spa experience. The bungalow accommodations also were great - modern and clean. We will definitely recommend this property to friends and cannot say enough about this experience. We will definitely stay here again! Truly, we enjoyed every element of our experience at Rio Perdido. There truly was nothing we didn't like. Reaching the property does require a drive - but it is entirely worth it and the approximately 1.5 hours from LIR offered an interesting view beyond the resorts of Costa Rica. Directions were straightforward with visible signage. We are so glad we chose to visit Rio Perdido!
Great hospitality, staff was fabulous Neat accommodations always clean Convenient on site location for zip lining and tubing Hot springs were absolutely beautiful Food was good zip lining was a lot of fun and great lengths and heights Hiking was neat Saw monkeys every day VERY expensive, if you have a rental car stop at a supermarket and buy wine/beer/snacks on your way in. It's a half hour drive to the closest town. Everything costs money here. Cheapest bottle of wine was $30 and it's a $10 bottle in the states. Dinner is $30/plate. Lunch is $15 minimum/plate. With tubing, zip lining, and eating and drinking we spent over $600 in 2 1/2 days, on top of the $700+ room rate. The staff is awesome, but it's almost criminal how much they charge for everything knowing you're more or less stuck there. Pool wasn't cleaned once while we were there.
Restaurant was okay, close to bus station, central location Very noisy, rooms do not have carpet, no hot water in any rooms, hot at night, airport shuttle is a rip off at $25 when you can walk across the park and catch the public bus for $2

Nothing and om being dead honest. If I had to pick anything is pick the food. Rooms are a dump !! I cannot express this any stronger, I paid 70 and I got ripped. Blankets were non existent, no a/c, no service, front desk guy was rude. Laughing and joking on a personal phone call while I was trying go check in. Not to mention the music that goes till 10pm, than fireworks. Screaming and music again at 5 am. No thanks !!
The internal patio and The restaurant The room didn't have ventilation and it smell really bad. They tried to make The smell better with candles but it was really strong. They gave us a free breakfast after we complained

At the top of my list is the hotel staff. Warm smiles and generous service. Friendship. They responded quickly to meet my needs and expanded beyond what I asked for and made suggestions that enriched my experience. Suggestions for excursions came unprompted and they made arrangements for travel with taxi drivers they knew and had confidence in. I also greatly enjoyed the open air restaurant's cuisine. I wish I had some Aguacate de la Reina in from me right now. The whole experience left me with a permanent smile.

Great hotel if you need to be close to the airport. It's about a 15 minute drive with traffic. Only thing is they don't offer an airport shuttle which would've been nice. We had to pay a $20 cab ride. It had a great pool for kids. Very clean. No shuttle to airport
Loved the pool and hot tub. Excellent walking access to downtown area and restaurants. Air conditioning didn't work.
Everything was awesome. Eric was an amazing host. He does most of the work around there and is very good at his job. Nothing. The food, the beds, the atmosphere... Everything was great! I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.

The place was clean and the staff was great. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was okay. There was a lot of noise from the casino area until 6am.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms clean and comfortable. Food was delicious and plentiful. Huge facility would be great for business meetings or seminars. Large, well equipped fitness center. Beautiful surroundings with small pond and botanical garden. Convenient to shopping and transportation. Casino is small, but a lot of fun. Problems with computer systems and credit card payments. Had I not known something about the subject (how card readers work and what happens when paper runs out in printer) I may have been forced to go to the bank and get cash. Manager seemed preoccupied and indifferent when confronted with he problem and was the only one on staff not focused on the quality of my experience.
