Pros: The hotel and its stuff was very nice, the view from the balcony was amazing, the nearest beach very clean and beautiful, good restaurants near, very quiet place

Pros: This is a wonderful hotel, luxury one, really fancy and well located. The poll bar is amazing and the view from the pool as well!! Staff is really really nice! We loved it!!!

Pros: The hotel's location in Rio de Janiero is great, which was a relief as the concierge offered to send an armoured car for our transfer from the airport (no kidding !). Great spot for Ipanema Beach, the Fort, the Sunday Hippy Market, restaurants and shopping and walking distance to the lagoon and Copacabana. On the Sunday morning of our stay the roads along Ipanema and Copacabana beaches were closed to traffic, and we join a great crowd of runners and cyclists getting some exercise in the sun. The design aesthetic throughout is quite pleasing. The rooftop pool is lovely, though overrun with Instagrammers (ok - that's like the free entertainment) and aspiring high-rollers trying to get noticed. The gym was spectacularly well equipped, and the concierge team were helpful when I asked for advice on booking an excursion across the city.

Cons: My wife and I were initially given a first floor room that had a nasty smell, a noisy AC unit, and bedsheets that were damp. Welcome to the Leading Hotels of the World (Not !). We spoke to 4 members of staff, who all confirmed the problem, yet still waited over an hour before being offered another room on the same floor, and a complimentary treatment in the spa (which we were were later charged for). Our sleep was disturbed by noise from the beach and the road outside during every night of our stay. It transpires (having spoken with one of the customer service managers) that all of the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors are blighted in this way. I really object to paying as much as the Fasano charge, and not getting a decent night's sleep. There are so many members of staff working in this hotel, you might imagine it should make for great customer experience. But the staff in reception pass the buck; the maid wouldn't let us enter our room one afternoon (we went to the rooftop bar to wait till she released our room and our stuff); and the army of waiting staff around the rooftop bar and pool have a tendency to ignore mere mortals and focus their attention on wealthier customers. You can tip and tip again, you can pay the exhorbitant additional charge for breakfast, and you can smile and pass the time with the many members of staff who will enquire about your day. But you may well find yourself paying five star money for a much poorer service.

Pros: Everything about our stay was really nice. We highly recommend it! Staying at a nice, well-staffed place makes all the difference when you're traveling! The location was ideal. The property is right on the edge of Ipanema and it was relaxing to people-watch on the beach from the restaurant. The rooms were clean and modern. WiFi connection was solid throughout. The breakfast was very good. And most importantly, the staff were all super friendly. The shuttle service was also very efficient and reliable--Genesio was very pleasant and gave a nice welcome and farewell. Would stay there again for the next trip!

Pros: Most likely the best hotel on Copacabana, when you compare price with quality. The rooftop pool was just amazing, with beautiful view on Copacabana and hills. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. The location is perfect, close to many great restaurants, bars, groceries and Copacabana is just few meters away. People from hotel were very nice and helpful. I would choose this hotel again, if I would come to Rio.

Cons: Breakfast was okey, we missed some vegetables (there were none of them), the bread was not very fresh. However, the desserts were perfect.

Pros: Great location, great staff. Loved the free breakfast with a view every morning. The detox juice came in handy!

Cons: Upon arrival at 8:30pm it took a while to get a room. It seems that the reservation through booking is not easy to manage by the hotel The room has no specific charm for a boutique hotel.

Pros: Great location just one block from the Copacaban beach. Many restaurants close to the hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. We arrived at 6 a.m. and the staff did the best to allow us early check in. Rooms very clean and comfortable.

Cons: The people at reception lied to us, charged us B150 each for a transfer to Buzios. Told us it would be a Van for a few people (that’s why is more expensive) but when it was the time to be picked up, a bus for 40 arrived. We were told it would be a Van, not a bus. Besides, they charged us two time what other passengers paid. The driver was rude, started shouting at us when we asked. A really bad experience. DO NOT TRUST THE HOTEL TO BUY OTHER SERVICES.

Pros: This hotel is fantastic. We chose it, fairly randomly, because of the location and the price, both of which are as excellent as they appeared, but we didn't expect it to be so safe, clean, modern, and efficient as it turned out to be. Above all, the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly for the whole of our eleven-night stay. And the buffet breakfast, included in the price, was outstanding in its choice and quality. We were extremely pleasantly surprised by the Atlantis Copacabana, and the neighbourhood it is in, and would recommend it, and Rio, to anyone.

Cons: The only negative I can think of is that for three days one of the two elevators broke down, meaning we sometimes had to wait for thirty seconds longer, or use the stairs, to go three flights down to the lobby. It must have shaved a total of five and a half minutes off our holiday. Annoying. Actually, the only thing we didn't like was having to leave.

Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms with good air con. Location is superb - very close to Ipanema & Copacabana. Staff were efficient, helpful & multi-lingual. Breakfast buffet is substantial. Strongly recommend.

Pros: Large, clean rooms. Well appointed and extremely convenient to both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches with a short walk. Easy access to metro and transport and plenty or restaurants around. Wonderful price for the area and more quiet than most as no clubs nextdoor.

Pros: It's a nice location between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Nearby access to metro stations. I really enjoyed their breakfast. They are great about storing bags before or after check in so you can explore the city.

Pros: We loved having the beach so close. We enjoyed waking up to breakfast. Being able to open our windows and get a little bit of the city but also even on the 3rd floor we felt safe enough. THE STAFF are the ones to be congratulated. We tipped them, they were all so lovely. The maids were honest and respectable. We will stay here again for sure. 10 out of 10.... i can't deduct for the bed not being as comfortable as I am used too because the rest of the experience made up for it.

Cons: Walls are really really thin, so you can hear "everything" your neighbours are talking/doing in their rooms. That includes music coming from the rooms upstairs. Breakfast was ok but has little variety, so eating the same thing for 6 days was a little hard.
