the gardens. The view from the dining room. the feeling of old world comfort.
The location and the stunning views. The room was so cold that we had to sleep with a jumper. The TV was not working and the Bathroom was not cleaned. Please no not stay in the roon 19. The dinner was awful I had so many expectactions. I ordered lobster and it was the size of 2 king prawns, does not deserve the 46 pounds. The chicken was raw. Not enough staff in the bar. Receptionsit had to cover both areas ..breakfast could have been better. The waiters are not friendly why not say arrogant.they should realize that work in a castle is exactly the same as in a normal restaurant. I felt that children were not welcome.
We were given a warm welcome on arrival. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. The food was very good indeed. Good storage space in the bedroom. Bathroom spacious with a good size vanity unit and well lit. Towels lovely and white. The room was comfortable enough but could have been brighter as it was decorated in dark colours. Bathroom - vanity unit and corners I felt could have been cleaner.
we were made very welcome and comfortable by the staff unfortunately the weather (due to the time of the year) would like to and probabaly will try again in the summer
Pleasant friendley staff specially after fire alarm went off twice Having to have dinner in the sitting room with no ambiance
Very relaxed atmosphere. Good food. Location stunning.
Stnning scenery, excelent gardens although in eed f investment. The overall standard of the hotels decoration was very poor, in much need of refurbishment.
Location, service and food
Helpful staff. Excellent dinner. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful reception rooms. Breakfast coffee was cold even when replaced. Toast was soft. Bedroom was cold initially and standard light did not work so hard to read.
Stonefield Castle was beautiful. The views from our room and the dining area were exceptional. The food was outstanding and the staff was very helpful. The walking paths and gardens surrounding the castle were my favorite part. The room was great except for the mattress. It wasn't too bad, but it was definitely not the sort of plush, high end mattress that we were expecting for a place like this.
Staff once notified of twin room mix-up were quick to resolve the issue- hotel was very good and would recommend/stay there again in future Original booking in process took aroung 15 minutes as person could not find the booking no lift service offered for my elderly mother - room on 2nd flr and no offer of assistance with bags
Relaxation a nice meal in the evening after exploring the Clyde coast then a nice comfy bed and a loveley breakfast and the staff were all wonderful. One of the few hotels where there was nothing to complain about
nice and central the noise coming from adjacent room when people walkeing, floor creaked and could hear everything.
We enjoyed our two day stay in hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean excellent shower.Breakfast was continental plenty to eat self service.Good base to sight see ,plenty to do .We recommend this hotel and will be back later in the year.Good value for money
relaxing atmosfere a bit far out of town
near to the train station which was good, breakfast is resonable and welcome message from TV was quite welcoming. the heater was not working properly and it was very cold.Besides,we were given a twin room though we booked for doubled room.the worst was it was smoking room with smell of smoke although i booked a smoking room and it was annoying.
Easy access; good parking; speedy service
Location and cleanliness. Comfortable beds too. Good for a business or a night stay and I recommend it in case the premier inn at the same location is fully booked. Reception staff not well trained, some have strong local accent without trying (or seem trying) to be understood and lack of basic hospitality politeness (i.e. smile, say thanks, please, typical hotel stuff). Food variety is limited and existing recipes although basic seem to take ages to prepare. For some reason, I ordered food at 21:10 and I was told that kitchen is not taking any more orders even though the hotel's schedule was saying dinner is served untill 22:00. I was advised to get take away and while I was checking the leaflets other customers went to order and then they decided to open he kitchen back. Strange...
rooms comfortable, heating very good. very accessible for disabled guests. would have preferred 2 have a bath inour room, also more tea and coffee in rooms would be great, we went to shop and bought our own.
freindliness of the staff
comfortable for business man nothing
Clean, quiet, good pillows, not too hot during the night & staff
clean; quiet; helpful staff and nice breakfast- all good value! no
The staff were extremely helpful & the food was good The windows in room 15 need the seals replacing as the wind made a terrible noise during a stormy night
Excellent friendly and efficient staff Beds worn out and carptet in the bathroom is very Unhygienic. Carptets and soft furnishing were dirty and worn
peace and quiet, non interuptions, very friendly staff, great food, relaxing, good size room and ensuite, plenty of cuboard space, comfy beds, good size tellys, easy going, welcoming, lovely dinning area, towels and sheets spotless, room a little dusty, the fact the jacuzzi is small is not stated,
I was extremely happy with The Park Hotel. The staff were polite, friendly and very helpfull, nothing was to much trouble for them. The room was clean and comfortable and the food was very good. The location was second to none. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definatly be visiting again soon. n/a
The staff were excellent and very friendly Cleanliness of the bathroom was poor but this may be due to us arriving late without a booking request going through via Booking. com we were lucky they had a room and very gratefull
Good breakfast The rain
The Staff were fantastic, especially Beth who made sure we were happy throughout our stay. A wonderful friendly atmosphere and great facilities. I will be coming back for sure.
Staff were excellent made to feel very welcome, very friendly and very accommodating.Overall the hotel was very clean with lovely furnishings the room we stayed in was excellent couldn`t fault it at all, a great hotel. None
Clean and comfortable stay Couldn't find any
The staff were welcoming and very informative. The food was excellent, well presented and good value for money. Breakfast was ideal. Location was jsut right as we attended an event at Vikingar.
Leaving This is the noisiest hotel i have ever stayed in.
There is no lift.
Location, comfort, and the fact they really value their customer.
nice hotel not too far from home for a relaxing overnight
Superb hotel in an excellent location for wonderful scenery and all activities. Wonderful food. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great value for money Not found one
Staff very friendly and welcoming, nothng was too much trouble for them. Couldn't have been nicer. Food excellent and great value. Breakfast - too much to pick from. Rooms - roomy, spotless and very modern. Bathrooms - beautiful. Right on front and handy for everything. Hotel itself was very impressive - great parking, lovely frontage and everything looks new and modern. No bad points.
Room was nice and clean. Food was lovely
Location perfect for Ayrshire coast. Staff friendly but possibly inexperienced. Need to sharpen up on service. Breakfast options not all available eg no granola!! /rooms clean and very pleasant. Upper floor bedrooms adequate but access could be difficult
Very good, Nice staff, Good food, good breakfast, shower Okay None
friendliness, food, location
liked it a lot and booked again, although may have said this on another questionere none
We had the most wonderful five days at Abbots Brae, the service was second to none, Christine and Colin made us feel very welcome. The meals were delicious and extremely well prepared and presented. We are definitely planning a return visit.
We felt totally relaxed and were well looked after. Christine and Colin were very accommodating with dietary requirements and made us feel at home. There were no negatives. It ticked all the boxes
.The hotel was very peaceful .There was molton brown body lotion etc in the shower room. I was disappointed in the size of the room. Also the full breakfast was not as big as I have had in other hotels although it tasted very nice.
Proprieters couldn't have been any more helpful or welcoming. Dinner was very well presented and very tasty. Coffee taken later in the drawing room finished off the evening, relaxing in high, wing backed chairs. Not a modern hotel but quaint and comfortable.
Spectacular views from car park/dining room. Good wifi access. Relaxing. Difficult access up winding road. Room well appointed but dust evident.
The owner was lovely, made me and my dog feel welcome.
Staff was very pleasant and accomodating. Resturant with motel was unsat. The food was tough and tasteless and all other selections were unavailable/out of and it was only 6pm on Sunday!!
really liked the restaurant and bar. Thought the staff were very friendly. I thought the service in the restaurant was pretty slow to be honest. Sorry!!
Excellent staff, and clean hotel None
Fantastic view of the River, friendly staff Hot water was not clear (had a brown tint). Room was a little cold at times.
Location for our visit to family
Greenock premises conveniently situated. Staff courteous and helpful. £29 offer widely advertised and very misleading. Variable daily rate of no advantage to guests here as Greenock is one of most popular inns - therefore not required to offer lower rates. This should be addressed. Why not introduce special rates for frequent guests?
The staff could not have been more helpfull they were all superb None
The room was very comfortable and location was lovely. Only stayed 1 night and feel it would not be fair to comment. but the price for the rooms facing MacDonalds front of the hotel is just as the same as the rooms facing the clyde side which the views are nicer and lovely.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The position on the old docks is probably not the best surroundings at the moment but if they redevelop the dock area - it would be great. The best part is the view across the Clyde from the hotels northern side and the eating area. No complaints
The room was nice and spacious with breakfast having lots of choice. Nothing really, the person welcoming on reception when we arrived could have been friendlier but all other staff we very nice.
