Terrible service from the staff and management. What a nightmare! They stole my security deposit. I booked 3 nights at this hotel through a booking website and paid the cost of my stay including all taxes and fees online before my arrival. Upon arrival, the reception confirmed that payment was made in full but asked for 150 euros in cash as guarantee for extra services. I gave them that amount and received a receipt. Upon check out however, the hotel refused to return my deposit in full, claming that there are extra taxes that had to have been paid upon arrival! I showed them my reservation confirmation which stated that the payment was for the ¿total charges¿ including all ¿taxes and fees¿. I explained this to the manager at the reception, but after keeping me for more than THIRTY minutes to ¿verify¿ their system, she returned to only tell me that the said taxes were not included! Location was very convenient from Shuman Metro station, various bus lines, and airport bus stop. The treatment of the staff towards me because I booked through Priceline. They originally assigned me to a room with 2 twin beds and though I asked for a one bed room at check-in, they did nothing to oblige (even though the hotel was 80% unoccupied). The treatment of the staff towards Priceline customers was awful and I would have taken my money to another property and paid whatever their cost if I could have gotten it back. They were a disgrace to the reputation of Belgium people and it was only an hour after I told them this directly to them that they finally offered me a room with one bed, saying that it was because 'they had a recent cancellation'. So, not only were you disgraceful to begin with but now you're lying because I can see tha 80% of your room keys are available on the shelf behind the check-in desk!
