Pros: The hotel, the room, the staff, the food and the location are GREAT.
Cons: There was nothing what I didnt like.
Cons: The overall quality of the kitchen staff has not anymore the quality it had in the past. Miss the danish sweetness en politeness of the past. The breakfast and the coffee are "OK" but not more.
Pros: Great location and lovely atmosphere- very Danish!
Pros: This is a very charming place with a nice beach, forest, and many facilities. We had a wonderful stay. Coffee, tea, and sparkling waters are free at the lobby. Definitely, we will come back next year.
Cons: The breakfast is relatively simple and most of the food are very salty.
Pros: Very nice staff, and good breakfast.
Cons: the rooms are very hot, we could have used some aircon!
Pros: The area is great. Not too far from train station and theres a nice beach and havn in front of the hotel. The breakfast is good.
Cons: We heard drilling noise inside the building somewhere close to our room at 7.30 AM. It woke us up too early!
Pros: The breakfast, the room and the beds were very good. The staff was friendly too. A nice thing was, that we could rent some bikes. The location at the sea end the quiet forrest behind the hotel were super!
Cons: Maybe the sign that there a possibility robbers can break in your car. The sign is good but perhaps the surveillance could perhaps better?
Pros: I adore my stay at this hotel, combining modern comfort, historical heritage, and design interiors. I love the beautiful library, where there are luxurious books by Taschen publishing house, and a living room with antique and designer furniture, paintings and a fireplace. I am an artist, so the beauty of interiors and landscapes is very important to me. My corner superior double room was very comfortable and quiet, with large windows on two adjacent walls that overlooked the forest and the kitchen garden. Breakfast was included in the room price and was just great. The hotel also has the machines, where you can free and many times prepare yourself several options for coffee and cocoa and many varieties of perfect tea. Guests also receive a glass of wine as a gift. Museum-house of Karen Blixen situated just near the hotel and the great Louisiana museum of modern art is only 10 minutes by bus.
Cons: All were perfect.
Pros: the location is great, the facilities are wonderful, it is much place to sit both inside and outside and enjoy a cup of tea or just hang around. beautifully decorated yet simple and nice. Clean and open. near the seaside and the harbour there are bike to rent. much to do and to play with for kids.
Cons: the lamp in the corridor tands on automatically, and it is not fun at night, it disturbs other people in the room. Besides it takes some time until it turns off. Blankets and cusions are getting old, they get lumpy.
Pros: Location was fantastic! 30 minutes by train to city, views of Sweden across the bay. Breakfast was very good with provision for gluten and lactose free diets. Lots of local places to eat, like the rest of Denmark quite pricey!!!We were very glad to have such a lovely stay with tea coffee etc available after exhausting days out!
Cons: Small rooms, but we were aware of that prior. Pillows- European pillows look lovely but have no support. Staff were helpful in getting additional pillows for our comfort
Located in Horsholm, Kokkedal Castle Copenhagen is by the sea, within a 10-minute drive of Horsholm Kirke and Arboretet. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Planning an event in Horsholm? This hotel has facilities measuring 2153 square feet (200 square meters), including a conference center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: All was first rate. Breakfast on the terrace was a nice experience, with very attentive staff and cool jazz playing in the background. I made much use of the hotel's bicycles. I borrowed one to get to and from Kokkedal railway station for my daily commute to work in Copenhagen. In the evenings I cycled to Nivå Bugt coastal meadows for bird-watching and to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art at Humlebæk. The grounds of the hotel are lovely. The whole place is quite tranquil. I felt relaxed there.
Cons: Nothing of significance.
Pros: Scenery and location . Malin building
Cons: The room. Air condition not working. Lack of glasses in the mini bar. No info folder in room.
Pros: Very kind and helpful lady at reception
Cons: Cleaning of room could be better (they forgot to take away empty beer bottle and used glass and bring new towels)
Pros: charming room,breakfast, relax surrounding,Castle.
Pros: Fantastic venue, quiet upmarket castle very close to Copenhagen. The grounds are beautiful for a walk on a sunny day. The restaurant serves great food for bar snacks up to full banquets. The underground access between the castle and the cottage helps in the rain, spa is very relaxing too.
Pros: Good luxury
Cons: The rooms were too squeezed
Pros: This is a truly great hotel by all standards. It is perfect for a quick city escape. The area is both quiet and peaceful.
Cons: The food options are slightly limited, if you do not have a car
Pros: Beds were very nice and the location was great. the staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautifully kept and the walk through the forest to the beach was beautiful.
Cons: The rooms were not quite as luxurious as expected and when we moved furniture there were dust balls. We thought we had booked for dinner in the cellar restaurant as we were celebrating a special occasion but we got moved to the terrace. We chose the wine menu for our 6 course meal and this was very disappointing. Only one glass of red wine and very small portions. We spent 4600 kr on wine for the 6 of us and then we had to pay 270 kr for tap water which came as rather a shock.
Pros: Beautiful, scenic, and very unique hotel! They position themselves as a luxury hotel and it shows - we felt like the experience there was really special.
Pros: Super friendly and attentive staff. Staff members are constantly monitoring the activity of each and every guest to make sure that you always have what you need, whether, one is in the restaurant, the bar, relaxing in the lobby, moving throughout the hotel, annexes, or just strolling thought the grounds. Lots of amenities to avail of i.e. free pedal and battery powered bikes, individual and family games such as cricket, bocce ball, etc. Great walks, sights, and scenery surrounding the premises. 10/10 for Kokkedal Castle.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
Set in Humlebæk, 10 km from Helsingør, Villa Humlebæk offers a garden and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast offers a terrace. A bicycle rental service is available at Villa Humlebæk, while hiking and cycling can be enjoyed nearby. Copenhagen is 39 km from the accommodation, while Kastrup is 37 km away. The nearest airport is Copenhagen Airport, 61 km from Villa Humlebæk.
Pros: Very good breakfast delivered at the door. The bed is big and comfortable. The style is French country style - very homey and stylish. There is everything you need to relax and sleep quietly and comfortably. The owners corresponded politely and responded fast to questions.
Cons: The room is a bit small-ish, but the style is open, light, and there is everything you need. The surroundings are very nice and open and light. The floor in the bathroom is very cold in the winter.
Cons: The window in the bathroom not well isolated
Pros: We had a fantastic homemade breakfast. Bread, yoghurt, jam, tomatoes, eggs and more in the tranquil front yard in the sun. The room is tastefully decorated. Well planned for smal space. Great bed. Keyless door! Make sure to book a table at close by Sletten restaurant! Explore the area by foot!
Cons: Breakfast not included in price took us by surprise. But it was worth the price. Air in room not good. Lovely host!
Cons: sadly the breakfast was over-priced for what was available
Pros: The property was very quiet and secluded. The people were friendly and helpful. Humlebaek is a wonderful location to explore from. We will be going back!
Pros: Very nice very personal. Excellent place.
Pros: Loved everything about our stay. And hope to come back
Cons: The beds the brackfast the heat and shower
Pros: We loved everything - the style and the decoration of the house, the private garden close to the sea, the really delicious home-made breakfast and the friendly puppy living next door.
Pros: Clean. Cozy. Parking was good.
Cons: The shower had a restricted drain. The entire floor was covered in water. The shower head slipped off and broke when I slipped on the slippery floor. Room wasn't ready when I showed up so I had to leave. When I retured from dinner after 10 there was no indication about breakfast so I simply left.
Located in Holte, Comwell Holte is within a 15-minute drive of Open Air Museum (Frilandsmuseet) and Farum Park. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 17 meeting rooms available for events.
Pros: Even a nice room cannot compensate this disaster and the unfriendly behaviour.
Cons: Never ever again. The hotel prefers group travels and this was my second time having this great experience. As an individual travels, private or business reason, your are second class and they let you totally feel about that status. You do not give them the profit as what the groups do. Breakfast was a horror scenario. Two busses of people conquered the breakfast room punctually at seven am, when the breakfast starts. No way to get a quite and disciplined breakfast, not even on request in your room. The service is understaffed and just waiting for the people to leave, not friendly at all. Compensation for no breakfast, when you check out to grab a breakfast outside, is not given, due to the breakfast included price. Great stay and check in another hotel next time. Can only recommend that to everyone who does not want to deal with the Sam's situation.
Pros: Good bed, very nice staff
Cons: No coffee/tea maker in room, no fitness and nothing to do at night, small room with little comfort (very small wardrobe, toiletries not re-newed when empty, no real place to sit except for bed), very limited food menu (4 mains) which is fine if it changes regularly but which gets very boring after day 2
Pros: Brigitte, Anette, and Thomas were OUTSTANDING! They made us feel very welcome.
Cons: Dinner was poor. The rooms on the east side were terribly hot. They gave us little small fans that provided very little air flow. The spider in my room the second night looked like a brown recluse.
Pros: Clean, modern and great breakfast. The e-cooking soap in the rooms is also amazing.
Cons: Nothing, it was a great hotel
Pros: Clean and comfy
Cons: A bit rude staff. Maybe because it was early in the morning. Otherwise perfect. Clean and comfy
Pros: Great staff. Lovely grounds for walking around.
Cons: Small hot room with poor sound proofing. I think there are better rooms here
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff Value for money
Pros: Dinner in the restaurant was very good as well. Appreciate the menu and healthy options. Fast and good service.
Pros: nice working space and good food
Cons: No gym, no spa
Pros: Good clean comfortable hotel . My room had tea and coffee facilities with the addition of a coffee making machine, although I understand that this is not the case with all rooms. Would recommend a room in the separate block which appear to be larger.
Cons: Evening meals were the main problem. Waiters were unattentive, I had to ask (Twice) for a menu. It took twenty minutes for water to arrive to take order and then there was an hour wait between main starter and main course. Watching the cooks "taste" food from plates that had been put ready for service was a bit of an eye opener, ( One chef took a chip from every plate he dressed).
Pros: I was happy to stay in the main house and not in the house connected to. First I have got a room in the connected house where you have to walk outside etc., but the women in the reception asked by her selves if she should look for a room in the main building.
Cons: The burger I got for dinner was nor especially tasty. I have got much better Comwell burgers at Comwell Roskilde.
When you stay at Bed and Breakfast Birkerod in Birkerod, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Horsholm Kirke and Farum Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beds were OK.
Cons: Poor cleaning in room and bathroom
Hotel Marina offers great rooms at an amazing location, some with ocean view over the Oresund ocean. Hotel Marina is the ideal choice for most travelers. Families and couples have great opportunities to enjoy nature, culture, and attractions. Business travelers will have a nice base during their stay as it is possible to host meetings and conferences and there are easy transport options to Copenhagen. At the hotel in Vedbæk, you will get free access to a fitness room, WiFi, parking, and “hyggelige” surroundings.
Pros: The location
Cons: It could use some updating.
Pros: Great location and view sufficiently comfortable
Cons: The bathroom was not super clean, it smelled a bit, I think maybe due for renovation. A small kettle and some tea bags would make the stay more comfortable.
Pros: Good location, spacious accommodations
Cons: They have to pay more attention at the cleanliness
Pros: The facility itself was nice, comfortable bed, decent room. I don't stay in hotels often but it was okay for the money
Cons: This is not in Copenhagen. I had to take the regional train to get there, almost an hour away from the airport. I was carrying a large backpack and a smaller one due to traveling around Europe for almost 3 weeks before arriving and was treated rather abruptly by the woman behind the desk. I got the feeling I was looked down upon. Then in the morning when I was settling my room tab she made a point to explain the currency I was getting back...also in a belittling fashion. Not necessary at all.
Pros: The sightseeing is Amazing. The beach and the sea are Beautiful.
Cons: The price was high for the level of service.
Pros: Hotel was much nicer than expected, large and comfortable rooms with enormous windows to see the spectacular views. Free ping pong and pool was very appreciated. A hotel for the whole family to enjoy.
Cons: All was good.
Pros: Great location. Nice and large family room. Easy check in. Friendly staff.
Cons: We missed kitchen utensils in the family room. Can be something to supplement?
Pros: Freshly baked morning pastries Location Comfortable beds
Cons: Poor internet comnection on 4th floor
Cons: Very old decorations
Pros: Great value for money
Cons: Needs some updating
Pros: The room had no safe and no fridge and the water installations in the bathroom were dysfunctional
Pros: The reception was fine, the room was OK (we have had better rooms at the Marina Hotel in the past! No view on Oeresund).
Cons: The bathroom is rather poor and in this case both toilet and washbasin did not evacuate properly.
Pros: It has good location and connection through public transportation. Easy to get to from CPH airport and city
Cons: When we arrived in the hotel, the booking.com reservation was not in their system. I had the confirmation printed out and hotel staff managed to arrange for a room even if hotel was fully booked, so thanks to them for that, but I wasn't very impressed with booking.com for that surprise. Hotel also has a mold problem. It was not in the rooms but as soon as you step in the front door, you know there is structural problems with the building.
Pros: definetely nothing besides the size of the rooms and the location for a visit to copenhagen
Cons: paper basket was not emptied during 4 days, rooms poorely cleaned, unfriendly and ignorant staff, non motivated unfriendly and "dirty" cook at barbecue, no recommendation at all
Pros: The hotel is situated by the sea and has a "marin tuch". Located between Luisiana and Bakken.
Cons: The rooms are not new and the hotel has a bit of the 70s left. The game room is not fun!
Pros: Practical and well functioning hotel with a positive and friendly atmosphere. Spacious and light rooms.
Pros: The location was what I needed.
Pros: It is near to my meeting place
Cons: The hotel is very old and need to be renewed. There is bad smell all over the hotel. The bathroom is not very clean. The Wi-Fi network signal strength is very poor and it is missing in some rooms.
Cons: Lots of Mosqitous
Pros: Hotel is conveniently located for those who have business or holiday in the Copenhagen area and who have their own car. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Hotel staff was providing service all right but without real interaction with the guests. Saying "goodbye" or something like that when someone leaves after a full week stay should not be too much trouble. Pillows were extremely soft and small.
Pros: Very friendly staff and relaxed common areas
