Location was excellent. Tram stop (Leon Blum) was at the front door
price late check in
excellent facilities, very helpful and outgoing staff, convenient location, affordable price
It is not really a hotel but an appartment with all the facilities of a hotel. For us, having two babies with us, it was super. They have a parking garage, breakfast service, laundry service etc etc. Everything you need is their and the staff was very helpfull.
very good location, in the heart of the city Seti-bed, not very comfortable
modern, brand new furniture, a lot of space, in the city centre
close proximatey to other attractions didnt realise that it was a fold up bed. not at all comfortable
It is good value for money. The location is very good. It is reasonably clean and the staff is very helpful. Fotos are far from reality: rooms are rather old and furniture and decoration have little to do with what you actually get. Nevertheless I would stay there again if I go back to Montpellier.
The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The kitchenette was nice to have as well
The suite and the terrace were spacious, the bed was big and comfortable, there was plenty of wardrobe space, the position was great, and the kitchen was well appointed. But best was that when they learned from a friend who stays there often that it was my birthday, they put a nice bottle if wine in the suite and wrote a card to me. We gave the wine to the receptionist because she was very helpful, and we had to fly out the next morning, so no time to drink it. No complaints
It's well located The hotel is not family friendly. We were using a pram for our three month old baby and the stairs in front of the hotel make it difficult to circulate. The hotel is on pedestrian area, so we had to carry all our luggage and baby from the underground parking nearby (which also does not seem to have an elevator) to the hotel. The hotel staff did not offer to help, not even once, even though they were not busy at the time. The staff seemed quite inexperienced and was not very forthcoming in providing information about the location. If you have family, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. There are others nearby, as well-situated and cheaper.
The hotel was centrally located in the town square and close to the tram and parking. Great location
Excellent location next to the main square, within easy walking distance from railway station and all sights. Comfortable bed and pillows. Double glazing blocks out the noise from the square. Clean. Spacious, uncluttered room. Pleasant staff. Interesting original decoration. Decent breakfast, although you could get something cheaper and less substantial from a nearby café. Slow to repair things like lightbulbs. Very little natural light in the public areas (but that's just a personal preference).
Good facilities and friendly staff excellent location
The location The hotel's lack of help and flexibility when we wanted to change our booking to a different date. This was due to the uncertainty of our flight departures due to the French strikes. the hotel did not try to accommodate our request in any way. we were not trying to cancel, merely rebook for another date
The location was very central , very convenient to the railway station , and the frequent tram service . great for a short city break Breakfast should be included in the price , dining room not very impressive
Montpellier is a very fascinating city and Newhotel du Midi with his amazing location just on Place de la Comedie is the perfect place if you want to discover the city center. In the bathroom there weren't either windows or air condition.
The location of this hotel, right on the Place Comedie, is great. For bars/culture/shopping to be right on your doorstep is just what you want in a city break. The car park is very close, under the Place, which was handy. The staff recommended an excellent local restaurant for our first night, Les Bains, two minutes walk from the hotel, and the restaurant next door to the hotel also seemed excellent, though we did not manage to eat there. There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel, and rooms are a little tired. Also, being close to the nightlife has the drawback of being noisy.
Clean comfortable rooms. Excellent location, lovely views of the main square.
location, style, grandeur, service. lack of pool (not expected in a periodic building), noisy air conditioning, lack of tea and coffee making facilities in room.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Parking was very convenient and reasonably priced. Room clean, bit small but perfectly adequate. With a child it would have been nice if there were cereals for breakfast.
tea and coffee kit in room you have to reserve the parking before
Close to trams and center of town.
The hotel was quite clean and situated near the center of the city The rooms on the street were rather noisy
Location and decent size room
the personal attention of the housekeeping supervisor
The hotel staff were excellent, helpful and professional; the rooms, modern, clean and very comfortble and the location really good to walk to the antigone shopping centre and the centre of town. I would recommend this superb, value for money hotel.
Nice, comfortable rooms and good price. Breakfast area looks a bit cheap.
within walking distance of town centre and close to tram. Tea making facilities in room. No charge for motor bike parking. Convenient location to find from motorway
The rooms were excellent and the location perfect for a city break. Staff were extremely helpful.
One of the bst hotles I have ever been. Very private and comfortable. A place to go again!
Beautiful building with a medieval feel, spacious, tastefully done up. Lovely large courtyard garden, covered swimming pool. Large rooms, very comfortable. Friendly staff. A really classy place where you could easily spend a week or two. Right in the centre of the incredible city of Aigues-Mortes.
The whole experience was very very good, i would recommend this to anyone, the reality is far better than what you see in the 'brochure'. Simply astounding. once inside the walls of the town, then Villa. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were great =] loads going on in the main plaza, loads to eats and shop. I even found a local supermarket bought beers and bread and other yummies from the deli then headed outside the ramparts to sit and watch the world go buy and the sun set. amazing =] The roads nearby and the bridge got seriously congested, if you just chill you get in soon enough. It is a major attraction for the area so it is expected i suppose.
Everything was great !
We loved the garden and adjacent swimming pool, room was nice and quiet; much care has been given to create a romantic classy atmosphere in the building. The price of the breakfast is not included in the roomrate and too high in comparision to that.
peacefulness, location, friendliness, helpful, gardens were a delight and the pool/spa facilities good but not well advertised. I would stay again so long as I was in a garden room. Our room - 1 - was fine in itself but was overlooking the road - no traffic - but like sleeping under the eiffel tower. Curtains did not fit windows so bright street lights all night. Not a good nights sleep and not frankly worth the £200. A shame as it is not difficult to find curtains to fit. Also no information in the room about the hotel/area/dining etc. All we got was an envelope asking for a tip at the end....hardly condusive to good feeling.
I thought that staying at the hotel was a fantastic experience, it was a haven & a very relaxing experience, also the staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Hotel setting was also a bonus.
what a lovely Hotel, right in the centre of the walled city,a super pool in a wonderful courtyard, very quiet location,a good but sligtly overpriced breakfast for just a continental one,a tight squeze if you have a bigish car for parking in the underfloor but very secure garage,we simple loved the stop.and would have liked to have been able to stay longer in that area.
The overall ambiance and attention to detail, close to a wide range of restaurants. An oasis in an historic town.
Very classy and beutiful hotel in an serene setting in the centre of vineyards yet only aa few minutes away from the centre of Montpelier and the autoroute. the reception staff were extremely friendly and efficient, we received an upgrade! The room was full of lighting, so unlike most French hotels, and there was even a Vaio computer and printer in the room with free internet, the printer even had paper! The food was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. The service at Dinner was cheerful and attentive and the wine froim the estate was good and not expensive. The only downside to the whole stay was that the waiter at breakfast was a little morose!
The hotel was beautifully presented with a mixture of old and modern decor very tastefully done. It was peaceful and offered a wonderful sanctuary from the bustle of the beach and the city at the end of the day. The food and service were both excellent. There was a tennis court on site which we used regularly. It was rather expensive (especially with the current sterling/euro exchange) but probably in line with similar establishments, the breakfast for example cost Euro 25 each if you wanted scrambled eggs (ie something cooked) and Euro 18 each for the continental choice. Our room did not have a mini bar so we had to buy our water from the hotel every day which again was quite expensive (Euro 8 for a bottle I think).
Excellent high-class luxury hotel with all facilities. Very friendly and professional staff. Excellent meals. Beautiful environment. Expensive but value for money.
Wonderful setting - extremely comfortable and relaxing Room had a wonderful Alessi Bathtub with jacuzzi, but it was broken and not fixed during the stay. It was very disappointing.
This is most definitely the most stylish hotel we have stayed in. The grounds are immaculate, the rooms superb, large, chic and contempory with no expense spared, we loved having our own personal computer in the room as well as a nespresso machine. The spa facilities are also excellent. We ate on the terrace both evenings, overlooking the pool and gardens and the food was of a high standard and beautifully presented and the staff were all extremely efficient.
this is one very special hotel! the hotel is newly fitted to a very luxurous standard. Felt 'wrong' for business accomodation but wow a very nice place to come for romance. a restaurant is desperately needed.
The staff in the restuarant were not at all helpful and there was no infomation about Montpellier or about the hotel itself available.
the breakfast was good, but the hotel is really expensive for the quality of the room. the quality of the room regards to the price.
It was very isolated if you did not have a car
excellent friendly staff who were a pleasure to deal with. no
The room was very clean, and I liked the nice down comforter. Also, I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The staff, for the most part, was very friendly and helpful. Somewhat far from the downtown and the site of my conference. I had to walk about ten minutes to get to the tram station.
price, location, free parking
People friendly No hairdryer in room and not enough tea bags
The relaxed atmosphere and helpful friendly staff Could not get potatoes, other than chips, so dinner was meat and green salad, As a Coeliac, (gluten free diet), I cannot eat bread, so potatoes are important to me. My husband loved the chips with his meat.
It is a nice and clean hotel. The breakfast. I think more meat and cheese
close to expressway and clean and comfortable dinner in the restaurant was not nice
Room was excellent as were all the front desk staff. Getting from parking to reception was slightly complicated.
Helpful staff and super friendly. Meets or exceeds Marriott's general high standards on every category. A bit too expensive.
Hotel's staff was not kind and without smile on their faces
Excellent location (close to the city centre and easy to find), very friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms very spacious clean and comfortable , also the hotel is very close to the city centre
Nice comfortable rooms, spacious with all expected accessories. Prepayment system is irritating, and prepackaged breakfast a bit strange. But is ok.
Very good hotel for a short break. Within walking distance of city centre and close to tram line.
Great for business at Dell or IBM. Few amenities or services. Not a great location for tourism or relaxation
close to shopping fridge did not work
The service was great the food was amazing and the atmosphere was friendly, very enjoyable.
free internet e kitchen facilities.Big rooms
Pool allthough needs updating Prices in resturant. Staff on reception, a little unfriendly. Lack of local information.
Friendly staff and excellent buffet breakfast Directions to hotel could be made easier
Nice hotel, the room was a bit outdated but very clean and comfortable the hotel is quite far from the city center, cost me 20 euros by taxi at 8pm so would not recommend unless you have your own car
Good spacious room. Upgrade due to wifes claustrophobia. Pool area nice. Location ok for purposes
The hotel was nice stop in a road trip with swimming pool and restaurant and bar. The city centre was too far for an evening walk, and there were not much to see around the hotel area.
The pool was great even if we didnt use it becuase it was too cold. Friendly staff. I was disappointed in the location of the hotel - far away from the city centre, constuctions all around, the buses did not run when scheduled.
Polite and friendly staff, excellent Maitre d'. Good food, simple menu choices enhanced by good cooking.
Well....the weather was fine. The location. The hotel is located on a very poor suburb, with lot's of homeless, prostitutes, etc. The hotel is old, and like always, the meal's price are too high.
Restaurant was very good but expensive. Free parking.
Pool is nice.Helpful staff.
Friendly staff and just of A9 motorway so easy to get to. Large free car park. Good bar/restaurant and general facilities. Nice modern hotel. It was a 10-12 euro taxi trip to the centre. Getting a taxi back at night wasnt easy (not the hotels fault though).
good position in city. near station.
Friendly and serviceminded staff, location near city square Lack of minibar, lack of comfortable chairs.
nearnes of city facilties Separate toilet had no ventilation so was inclind to smell
Location Personal car access not available. Parking fees deals not available and expensove. Gym not available
Excellent facilities in great location. Staff spoke English and were very helpful.would definitely stay there again Nothing
location and the hotel itself. The bathrooms were lovely! It would be good to have provision for making tea or coffee in the room
The staff were helpful and the location was fantastic just 200m fro the train station. Our room was big enough and comfortable but the amenites quite basic. The price of the hotel was great for what we got. Even though it is a 3 star hotel the rooms and the hotel look a bit tired it could do with a bit of an upgrade.
The position of the hotel is just fantastic for a city break. I felt the rooms were small for the price, and the toilet was not as clean as I would have liked. The shower head had no holder on the wall.
Excellent proximity to town centre
The room was spacious and I enjoyed the bathtub. There was no shower curtain for showering which meant water landed everywhere. Also no real aeration in the bathroom meaning water vapour ended up in the bedroom and water was still on the bathroom floor overnight. This probably explained the smell of dampness in the room upon arrival.
Good location, right next to trams and railway station. Close to all main attractions
The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. There was free internet use, use of hotel umbrella's and the hotel was perfectly situated for access to get all around Montpellier
This was a very well appointed hotel which was also well maintained. The rooms were lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to others and stay there again.
Upon my booking, they immediately called me to advise that the hotel was under renovation - pool was closed (it was winter anyway), some work outside and inside, but no issue. Cozy room - great staff - excellent breakfast, but at a price of EURO 20. Airco was actually too hot.
Comfort, service & location Charging fees for Wireless connection is quite unacceptable for such hotel standing (like many others)
Thw welcome at the reception and the friendly atmosphere of all the staff.very well trained.
The hotel was wonderful, brilliant location, very good helpful staff and lovely bonus of top floor restaurant and swimming pool etc. with views over the city. Very comfortable sumptuous beds.
The room was beautiful and in a great location.
Facilities and hotel staff availibility Continental Breakfast quite expensive
efficient 24 hour good service & comfortable with adequate fcailities for a city hotel no
Clean renovated rooms. Well-maintained. Quiet and in a good location near tram.
Excellent staff. Good location. Rooms are large and well maintained. Some traffic noise if you leave the window open. Make sure you get a top floor room to avoid this.
Very comfortable room. Good location. About a minutes walk to the tram (both lines) and about 10 mins walk to the main square.
Location excellent, 10min walk into centre or short tram ride. Good sized accomodation (suite), quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Would certainly return. We stayed here for four nights and It was always difficult to find anyone on duty in the bar. Also the selection of drinks available was very poor for the standard of hotel.
It was very well situated for the airport and getting to the town centre which was close enough to walk to. Well decorated and very friendly staff room, service plus a lift! I would definetely stay there again.
The overall ambience of the hotel, including the rooms, was lovely for a contemporary hotel; our room looked out onto the main street through the leafy trees which added to the attractiveness. The breakfast buffet was superb and by far one of the best ever experienced for a hotel of its kind. Not applicable; everything was peachy.
